you know what
i think its time for a late afternoon depression nap after seeing a video of spanish police men beating protestors in Madrid mourning the death of 24 year old Samuel who got beaten to death last Saturday in Coruña from a mob for being gay.
Just a day after people in Tiflis, Georgia have prevented the pride march by attacking the local LGBTQ organisation, trashing everything, attacking journalists and even stabbing a tourist wearing an earring assuming he is gay. Supported by the orthodox church (their official statement is that they condemn the violence, but the priests who were there apparently did not get the memo).
As a queer person you get news like that everyday and it makes me don’t want to live on this planet anymore. I can’t take it anymore, but I also don’t want to close my eyes from it.
But OKAY, my new thing is to try and see the positive in things so here we go:
- Good that a whole lot of people protest the death of Samuel in spain.
- Hopefully a little part of the people in Georgia will realize that the LGBTQ people protesting peacefully are not the problem here, but the people physically attacking them.
