new mix after 7 years ! this time i'm investigating the desert ecosystem and the existentialist dread in a 90 minute audio trip - then flying into the starry night above the desert.

So. I just got a google drive link with an unreleased song from a band I saw play at a basement show. I don't even know how to react I didn't even think these dudes would respond to me.
Anyway now I have an awesome unreleased song that caused such a crisis in my anxiety ridden brain that I had to go hide on the staircase and cry.
Shout out to the band. I would link them but I don't want them to get in trouble about giving out their unreleased music.

"to love... Is to rot"
Life and death have the same meaning, to this cult of a harvest god. Illegal due to their gruesome sacrifice methods and violent behavior, they have went underground. But I, Mathew Chantel, have gotten a exclusive interview with one of the members.
Delores Evergarden has been in the cult since she was 18, and the top photo is her when she was younger.
(delores now)
The first question I asked Mrs evergarden is why she chose to join the commune of skull and bone.
Delores: when I was young, I always felt out of place. I was always fascinated by dead things. I'd make sacrifices to the local garden god, squirrels or birds and such, instead of the bread we typically left at its altar. When my parents found out, they were furious *chuckles* I also loved plants and animals. I'd sit and watch them for hours, studying how they moved and what they ate and such. I remember when I was about ... 10? I believe? I learned about the food chain, how such animal would die to feed another. And it was holy to me. I felt peace then, I believe it was when I first met the ivy-grown heart. It was only natural that when I found a pamphlet at the florist for the commune, I'd join.

Countdown 'til you come off your rails
And it ain't going well
You've been running up bills
You had to cancel your cards for shooting out street lamps while shooting at stars
Now your credit is falling
Heard it booming at parties, whispered in homes
The pundits on the radio won't leave it alone
I heard it once, heard it twice
Heard it well enough to tell
They say the mission to Mars, is destined to fail now
Climb down to the edge of your rope
Got a letter 'bout a month ago from control
They say we're coming down hard
We locked our keys in our cars
Or got booted at bars and now the movement is lost
So we blowing up God's phone
Pray he get us off hold soon
Bought our own space but our asses are frozen
Blow enough smoke to punch a hole in the ozone
And all you say is we should've stayed home
Fading, faded, we never made it, faded
Traded for your replacement
Faded we never made it
Watchu tryna be lately?
Climb down to the edge your seat
They say that viewership for launch is up by 50 this week
We changed the format completely, cut the filler for meat
It's just blood on your TV making killings for free
The ticket lines are past the sign down at the end of the street
Meet and greet, VIPs go a million a piece
We delayed the show for entry and so expired on the lease
Now we're gonna re-release it, T.B.D
Change the title to Fuck You
It's what you want it to be
When you know it only pay to make nice
Pack your shit and standby, please
Your friends are trying to leave and get high
Countdown 'til you come off your rails
They said the mission to Mars is doing pretty well
I heard it once, heard it twice, I heard everybody tell
They say the mission to Mars is destined to sell out

Forest Bed | Live at Leo's Sydenham
My ‘cosmic-country’ americana band, Forest Bed played Leo & Friends in Sydenham SE London last weekend.
Get our EP on Bandcamp! 🎶
It was a great night, it was a real honour to play a show with so many amazing creative people. As usual with London shows these days: An hour of 1 or 2 poems from 5-6 poets, curry break, then we played, SRF closed the night and blew us all away.
SRF’s previous show…

Morgan Wade- Acoustic Sessions EP
In my opinion, Morgan Wade is one of the rising stars in Country / Americana / Cosmic American music, and while this EP isn't necessarily a "new release" (they are acoustic versions of previously released songs), it's worthy of a listen. Being a 5 track EP, I would recommend listening to the whole thing, but if you just want a quick sample, I recommend these two songs in particular:
Kelley's Drive, Wilder Days
Rating: 3.5/5
