“The human being said to God: ‘it’s not fair that you are always God and I am always the human being. If we are really partners, I should get a chance to be God, and You should be the human being.’
“And God said: ‘I’m afraid you won’t be able to handle it.’ The the human being, who is such a fine seducer, seduced God in a weak moment and God said, ‘Okay.’
And both of them went crazy- God because God is now finite with Gods infinitude, and the human being is now infinite within finity! They have been trying to meet again, to switch back, ever since.”
-Eli Wiesel
I might’ve laughed a little too loud when I read this
Yeah, this did used to be a Taco Bell. If you knew how hard it is to find a cursed temple for your cult of followers to worship at your wretched altar, maybe you wouldn't be so judgy.
Does the H. P. Lovecraft Historical Society (official site, Wikipedia article) do filks about other cosmic horror authors? 'Cause I've been wanting a song about "Helen Vaughan has got it going on" for a while.
Platinum Ink released a black ink that’s blacker than it’s previous blackest ink. The other colors are great but pen people go absolutely feral for black inks. They will form brackets and spreadsheets to find the blackest of black inks. It’s like we all have this need to write with darkness itself. If Platinum, Lamy, or some other stationary company was like “Hey guys! Through forbidden rituals and dark pacts unspoken, we were able to travel to the End of All Things and slay one of The Old Ones. Using the blood of this primordial saint, we were able to create a heavily pigmented black ink. And sense their blood is the hearth from which all darkness is spawned, we can guarantee that this ink is the blackest ink. 😃” we would be asking to see ink samples. There would be no hesitation. We would want to know if this is going to be a limited edition run and if the blood of The Old Ones will clog our pens.
