Hey, not quite sure if I already gave this rec or not but I am going absolutely feral for this series:
It's "my struggling form, my willing soul" by cosmicocean on AO3.
This sw au has had me in its grip for MONTHS and I don't even go there! My knowledge of Star Wars is built from half remembered pop culture and mutuals reblogging the odd post but I. Am. HOOKED. The character development is fantastic, it is funny and angsty and just the characters, the interaction with world building (tho I can only freak out a little bc sometimes I don't know what's canon or not)? Superb.
Here's an ugly link cuz I'm on mobile:
https://archiveofourown.org/series/3734392
This looks so interesting 👀 thank you

Supernatural Post-Finale Fix it Fic Recs
Fanfiction set after or during s15e20 that changes the ending in some way.
This list will include all ratings and tags, so read at your own discretion! :)
Of Loss and Love by BadassCompany - Rated E
“You saved me,” Cas says.
Dean wants to crawl inside that low rumble of a voice and curl up there forever. Delirious, he says, “Yes.”
Then Cas says, “You kissed me.”
Dean swallows. “And?”
Cas kisses him. Something burns at the hem of Dean’s shirt and his eyelashes flutter darker and it’s much, much later when he realizes he’d felt a spark from the lightbulbs blowing out.
*
Dean barely talks since Cas died. Even once they save him, it's too damn hard. In which fucked up coping styles leave both Cas and Dean convinced the other doesn't really love them. Cas thinks Dean is offering to sleep with him out of the goodness of his heart, or so Cas won't leave. Dean is trying to be less of a dick and ends up crying all the time. Cas just wants Dean to let him be the big spoon. They get to heal and be in love.
Local Cryptid?? by chlodobird - Rated T
Carry On by TheWeepingMonk - Rated G
In an imaginary world where the finale was emotionally satisfying, Team Free Will got to grow old. Dean and Cas settle down and run a bar-slash-diner, and Sam decides to go back to school. Law just isn't his thing anymore, but with the amount of lore he knows, he figures he could make a pretty decent history or mythology teacher.
Essentially, his weird knowledge and weirder family means that rumors spread. Local Man becomes College Campus Cryptid, more at 9
what they deserve (it's better this way) by sobsicles - Rated M
"That was weird."
 "What was weird?"
"Dean," Sam answers. "He's gotten really happy out of nowhere and now he's taking a roadtrip so Charlie can meet his dog? I just don't buy it. He's up to something."
 "Up to what?"
Sam struggles to makes a guess then finally says, "I don't know...maybe he's trying to find a way to bring Cas back."
Dean and Castiel have some unfinished business. Heaven is as good enough of a place to settle it as any.
Wayward Son by masquerade97 - Rated T
so weird how the spn finale was just an hour of dead air. that was weird right? anyway this is what i think happened
for which no words exist by MediaWhore - Rated T
'a prayer for which no words exist' // richard siken
"Dear Cas who art in my bathtub, give me the strength to be honest about how I feel. For your sake and for mine. Forgive me all the times I wasn’t in the past, all the words I should have said but didn’t. And please stay. Please stay with me when all is said and done. Amen. "
Dean rescues a newly human Cas from the Empty. That's the easy step.
all the things yet to come are the things that have passed by cosmicocean - Rated T
“I mean, listen, we’re not good at the huggy feely crap. Any of us. And I get that, you know. And I get, I mean, I could’ve said something, you know, I know that. I get it. I get all of it  But you just, you give this whole speech, and you telling me that you just, you want what you know you can’t have? You never asked. And it was always, you know, it was always-“ he grits his teeth, taking a breath.
“We always came back to each other. I said terrible things to you and you said terrible things to me and we fought and we killed and we died and always, always, we came back to each other. We figured it out. So you’re gonna come back. You’re gonna come back, Cas, so help me god, and we’re gonna figure it out. And I would have said yes. If you’d asked, I would have said yes.”
AU after 15x19, where Dean has a little place in the middle of nowhere, a dog, and is trying to figure out a plan.
Keep Your Love Alive by dothraki_shieldmaiden, FriendofCarlotta - Rated E
Dean gets to spend eternity sharing beers with Bobby on the Roadhouse porch and riding around in his Baby with Sam. He’s at peace… or he feels like he should be. But a few things nag at him: Where is Cas, and everybody else Dean had been hoping to see in Heaven? Why does he feel like he’s stuck in a loop, reliving the same memories over and over again? And who are the strangers wearing Sam’s and Bobby’s faces?

“Lord Vader-“ a nervous looking officer starts as the ship takes off.
“No pleasantries,” he growls. “Who was it that attacked me and destroyed the Death Star?”
“Er.” The officer consults a datapad. “We’re still gathering preliminary reports, but it is our understanding that the pilots who shot you are a smuggler named Han Solo and a Wookiee named Chewbacca. We have Imperial records of Solo, he’s a deserter who liberated the Wookiee before he left.”
“And the pilot who destroyed the Death Star?”
“He and a-“ he checks the datapad again. “Ben Kenobi contracted Solo and the Wookiee to take them towards Alderaan from Tatooine, we believe they were in possession of the R2 unit and the protocol droid belonging to Princess Leia. A… Luke Skywalker.”
What?
If Vader’s stomach functioned normally still, the bottom would have dropped out of it.
The officer flies backwards with a choking sound, pinned to the wall of the shuttle. Vader advances on him, seething.
“What did you say?” He demands. “What did you say?”
“On Tatooine-“ the officer chokes. “With Kenobi-“
“His name!” Vader thunders. “His name!”
A Vader redemption arc, properly.
Revenantverse has DROPPED!

Star Wars Fic Recs (Part 4)
In a warped time by Lochcamaen
In a single moment, history is changed forever and Depa Billaba is faced with a life she was never meant to have. -
Grow bold in a barren and desolate land by blackkat
The Jedi Order has fallen, and the Republic along with it. That will never mean that the Jedi are gone, however, or that the fight is hopeless.
-
sand on memories and armor by loosingletters
"Uncle Ben, Boba is messing around with Cody's weapons again!"
"Shut up, Luke!"
A family can be you, your former Commander, your apprentice's son and an eighteen-year-old with identity issues. Obi-Wan's life on Tatooine is slightly different than he thought it would turn out to be.
-
Favors by cosmicocean
“There’s no one else here,” Leia tells him. “No one waiting in the shadows. Just us four and the droid.”
The man looks at BB-8 warily, and then back to Leia. “I don’t much care for droids,” he says, in a low rasping voice.
“They’re a friend.” Leia leans on her cane. “Aren’t you going to invite us inside, Din?”
The man stiffens. “You must be confused,” he says coolly. “My name is Ket Diric. This is my farm. Din Djarin died some years ago.”
Leia looks vaguely amused and inclines her head. “My apologies.”
Where Leia needs an idea of where to look, and seeks out an old acquaintance. -
Today is the day that nobody dies by omegarose A brief rewrite of a scene from ziggyzigzagged's "Ib'tuur Jatne Tuur Ash'ad Kyr'amur" where the fight in the reactor room doesn't end in Maul or Qui-Gon's death.
-
The Two Sons of Tatooine by chronicbookworm
Rejected by the Jedi Order at the age of 13, Obi-Wan Kenobi's ship is taken over by pirates, and he is sold as a slave on Tatooine and adopted by Shmi Skywalker. Elsewhere in the galaxy, clones are being created and a war is brewing, but the Skywalker family have their own concerns: the rising storm that is the slave revolution.
-
Life didn’t end when the world did by alyyks
It had not happened like this.
As a matter of fact, this—whatever this was—had never happened at all.
Obi-Wan leaned over the man spread over his lap, afraid to jostle him and hurt him further, and felt a braid over twenty years gone slide over his shoulder. The man in his lap was older than Obi-Wan had last seen him, grey streaking his dark hair where the red of blood was not hiding it.
The Force works in mysterious ways. Sometimes its visions are rescue signals. Sometimes good things happen.
-
Mand’alor bal kaysh vod’ika (the mand’alor and his brother) by sometimes_i_right
Xanatos decides sending Qui-Gon's new apprentice to an offshore mining rig is too obvious. Obi-Wan Kenobi winds up on a nameless spice freighter, and Jango Fett finds a new family.
-
Volatile memory by jessepinwheel
Obi-Wan is seventeen and reeling from the end of the Melida/Daan's war when he tries to return to Coruscant and the Jedi Order he had left behind. In one world, the Force sends him away to find his footing and grow, safely away from its all-consuming power. In this one, it sends him home to the Temple, swallowing him whole in the process.
Or: Vokara Che adopts a possessed traumatized seventeen-year-old boy. Because somebody has to.

Lost and Found by plodder
Nearly ten years after Order 66 and the fall of the Republic, two lost and broken men find each other on Tatooine

whenever I feel like I’ve run out of stuff to read I go back to husborth’s fics. I will also recommend qigiined ‘s fics, and cosmicocean has a amazing Darth Vader redemption series. (Lmk what type of fics your looking for, I might have more specific stuff)
I've got a couple fics/authors I always go back to when I can't find something to read. Dearest Husborth is definitely one of them (Dog Bites my beloved)
I've read a couple of qigiined's fics, tho I'll admit, most of their stuff doesn't really interest me personally. Nothing against their work, it's just not really my thing.
I'll have to look up cosmicocean's stuff. I don't think I've read anything written by them before.
Honestly I'm not really sure what I'm looking for. I'm a bit of an angst hound so anything involving my favorite characters having a really bad time is usually fun lol.

Representation Matters (Cap Says Gay Rights!)
“You’re not supposed to like people like me.”
Steve frowns. “Like who?”
“You know.” Eli pulls his sweatshirt a little tighter with one hand. “Like me.”
“Children?”
Eli bites his lip. “Gay.”
Oh.
“Why did you think I wouldn’t like you for being gay?” Steve asks gently.
“You’re Captain America.” Eli’s got his teeth clenched and is resolutely looking ahead. “You stand for truth and justice and the American way. You stand for American morals. You stand for…” he shrugs awkwardly. “Not people like me.”
Steve blows the air out of his cheeks slowly, trying to figure out how to keep the anger out of his voice so Eli doesn’t think it’s at him.
“Captain America does stand for truth and justice,” he says slowly. “The truth is that LGBT folk exist. And justice is them being given the equal treatment they deserve. But I’m not…” he struggles for a moment. “I’m not Captain America. Not really. Anybody could be Captain America. Captain America’s just a uniform I put on sometimes. I’m Steve Rogers.” He looks at Eli, who’s staring up at him now. “Captain America stands for you, Eli. And so does Steve Rogers.”
Eli swallows. “Oh,” he whispers.
“Who told you I wouldn’t?”
“Um.” He shrugs awkwardly. “Fox News. My parents. Society?”
“They’re all wrong. Very, very wrong.”
“You’re, uh, you’re from the 40s. Aren’t you supposed to be… less tolerant?”
“Some of us were. Some of us weren’t.”
“Like who?”
“The smart ones and the queer ones.”
“Which one were you?” He’s got a little trembling quirk to his lips, like he’s trying to pull out a joke to cushion all of this.
Steve thinks about lying for a fraction of a second. The decision not to could easily be described as: eh, fuck it.
“Well,” he answers wryly. “I certainly wasn’t one of the smart ones.”
“You’re one of the most famous people in American history. And you’re one of us. And that’s just… weirdly life affirming, I think.”
Another reporter stands. Steve recognizes him from FOX News and knows instantly that he’s going to hate him.
“Sir,” he says, voice dripping with condescension. “I know that you’re from a different time and it may cause some confusion. But in this time, the advance of the LGBT movement is seen as a detachment from American values. You may want to reconsider your stance.”
Steve remembers Eli, standing in the rain under his umbrella, saying you stand for American morals. You stand for… not people like me, thinks of his kids standing at his door, beat up and afraid and lonely, and sees red.
“Believe it or not, sir,” Steve growls, letting every inch of acid he feels in his body leak into his voice. The room suddenly goes quiet except for the flash of cameras. “We had people have different orientations back in the mid 1900s. And believe it or not, I’m one of them.”
