Today I processed nearly 4 pounds of tomatoes by hand. I'm making a small (ish) batch of sauce. It's the last batch of the season, since we got heavy rain last week to end a summer-long drought, a lot of the fruit split open. I picked what was good this morning and then set to work ripping out the tomato plants.
This is all that's left of the tomato jungle. I'm going to spread the straw down and plant some garlic for the fall season.
