Hey, I saw the ask/draw game and I really love “Damian’s Adventures in Being Nice,” so taking inspiration from that, maybe Dick or Damian in 4C?
From this ask game
Hmmm, Dick OR Damian? You give me a tough choice. I’ve already Drawn Damian eight times (posted four), and I’ve drawn Dick once (simple drawing, never posted). So I could either draw my blorbo again... or I could branch out and try something different with a character I also love. Hmmm...
dun dun DUN DUN!
C’mon you knew who I was gonna choose xD
Tumblr media
My GOD i LOVE drawing expressions! It’s SO fun to just take an emotion and go absolutely HAM.
I read this ask late at night so I didn’t notice it was talking specifically about DAiBN until i went to answer it, so I originally drew him a bit older. I usually think of Damian as being around ten, but i tried drawing him as a teen closer to sixteen-ish. I messed around with it though and liked the younger version better, but I cleaned up the other version too so here ya go
Tumblr media
All i did was make his face longer, cheeks slimmer and changed his nose. Well technically i did that in reverse to make the younger version but yk.
Tumblr media
First one done! This was so fun plz send me more!

Finally Getting Help (prt 11)
Masterpost
When Jason arrived at the manor to meet Danny it wasn’t him who greeted him but Damian. Jason tensed as he always did when he saw Damian, though now the feeling he got when he saw Damian made more sense to him. He had read the slide show, he knew that the urge to fight Damian wasn’t hatred, and neither was the way Damian lashed out at him… at least probably not. They should spar more, but not right now, he still needed to overcome the urge to fight Damian in the lobby.
“Todd,” Damian greeted.
“Demon-Brat,” Jason said, insults were practically his love language now anyway.
Damian sniffed disdainfully, but he was shifting from foot to foot. He had something to say and was struggling to figure out how. Jason crossed his arms and dutifully waited for Damian to spit it out. “Danny has warned me about the role that combat has in courtship for his kind, I do not know why on earth he would want you to court him But that is his decision. I will not interfere but understand that he is vulnerable and he is protected. If you hurt him in any way there will be consequences.”
“I’m not planning to hurt him, but I also don’t even know if we are ‘courting’ yet,” Jason said rolling his eyes.
“Well then you’re even more of a fool then I thought,” Damian said with a disdainful sniff. “He’s a very powerful being, Zatana says that he will likely grow to be a god, you should be grateful he is willing to let you court him.”
Jason blinked rapidly, he hadn’t been here for that conversation so that was the first he was hearing of that! It also occurred to him that Damian had a baby-crush on Danny and considered teasing him about it but decided not to. “Huh, good to know,” He said, simply reaching out to ruffle Damian’s hair and missing on purpose as he dodged away. “So where is Danny?”
“He’s waiting for you in the dojo upstairs,” Damian said, sounding a little resigned as he gestured upwards. “I hope you made reservations for somewhere worthy.”
“Don’t worry Dami,” Jason snorted, brushing past him to head towards the stairs. “I’ve got it under control.”
Once again as soon as he entered the dojo and saw Danny the violent urges surged but he wasn’t alone and he didn’t swing first. Danny came at him first and Jason rose to meet him. The fight was longer but less desperate this time. It felt like they were getting out their energy and anger without meaning it, and by the end Jason and Danny were both breathing hard and purring again. It really did feel like bonding, they were closer now then they had been at the beginning of the fight, even if they had hardly said a word.
It ended in a stalemate, or, Jason got Danny pinned but it couldn’t have been more obvious that Danny let him. Jason was glad they didn’t have an audience this time so later he could deny that made him blush. Danny gave him a cheeky grin and reached up to pull Jason down, slow enough that Jason was able to scramble away before Danny got hold of him.
He coughed to clear his  throat awkwardly, grabbing one of the towels that sat on a shelf on one side of the dojo, using it to wipe his face and the back of his neck. The fight had been intense enough to make him sweat, though Danny still seemed unbothered, and there were some gym style showers off of the dojo.
“Well I’m glad I brought a change of clothes!I’m going to have a quick shower and then we can go out for dinner okay?”
“Sounds good, I’ll go change too. Alfred bought me a Ton of new clothes, I really didn’t need that much more. By the way, what sort of place are we going? I mean, should I dress up?” Danny asked a little awkwardly, Running a hand back through his hair to try and push his bangs back.
“I mean, probably a little bit?” Jason said. “If I didn’t take you somewhere nice I think Damian would shank me. It’s cute how protective of you he is,” Jason teased.
“Alright, so we talking jeans and a button down? Or proper dress pants?” Danny asked, cocking his head to the side.
“Better to go with dress pants. The good ones are pretty comfortable anyway, and Alfred wouldn’t get you bad one. No need for a jacket though, unless you’ll be cold?”
“I have an ice core, I never get cold,” Danny laughed. Jason was just going to pretend he understood what that meant.
“Alright,” Danny agreed, bouncing to his feet in a way that denied gravity and bouncing out of the room to go get changed.
Jason grinned like an idiot after him before shaking off the feeling and going to have a quick shower and get dressed for their date.
Jason showered and dressed in a red shirt and soft brown pants before meeting up with Danny who was wearing a blue that brought out his eyes and black pants, he looked… very good. Judging by the blush on Danny’s cheeks he thought the same thing about Jason.
“Have you ridden on a motorbike before?” Jason asked rather than acknowledging any of that.
“Oh! Ya I have, not that often but I know the basics,” Danny assured, following Jason eagerly towards the door.
“Great, I have an extra helmet for you.”
“Do I have to?” Danny sighed dramatically. “It wouldn’t kill me anyway if I fell off.”
“Yes you have to,” Jason said firmly, his stomach twisting at the idea of Danny getting hurt. “You have to be more careful Danny! I get that we’re all bad about risk taking, and you’re tough, but you don’t have just yourself to worry about anymore!” Jason said, trying not to sound too much like he was scolding Danny. He wasn’t sure it worked because Danny did look pretty chided as he took the helmet.
“The babies aren’t in my head, the helmet wouldn’t protect them,” He muttered as he put it on. Jason just hummed and rolled his eyes as he put his own on.
Danny got on the bike behind him and wrapped his arms around Jason’s waist, snuggling up against his back even as continued to sulk. “Hold on tight, and the helmets have mics so we can still talk without having to yell. It’s a bit of a drive,” Jason warned. He could have gotten there a lot faster, but not without breaking traffic laws and he was in civvies so a half hour drive it had to be.
Danny hummed and tightened his grip on Jason as he kicked back the stand and revved the bike, peeling out of the driveway in a way he knew would piss off Bruce. It also made Danny yelp and cling tighter though so Jason slowed down a bit once they were out of the driveway.
Danny was quiet for maybe ten minutes and Jason was starting to worry he’d upset Danny more then he realized and maybe should apologize when he spoke up. “You’re right. When Cass clocked that I was pregnant it was the first time I’d talked to anyone about it besides Vlad. I’m not… Honestly the way I’ve survived most of the shit that’s happened to me was not thinking about the implications. I’m not sure how I’m going to do this. I’m in a way better position now then I was even a week ago but it’s going to be such a big change I’m having a hard time imagining what it's even going to look like.”
Jason hummed, nodding and taking a moment to consider his response. His first instinct was to remind Danny that he didn’t Have to have the babies since it was still early but he knew that the other bats would have already brought it up. If Danny was anything other than fiercely protective and utterly determined to have the babies Bruce and Dick would still be trying to convince him to not be a teen parent and focus on his education. The same way they had tried to convince everyone in the family not to be vigilantes and utterly failed.
“You’re going to be a good dad Danny, and you’re not going to do this alone. Bruce never got to have any of us as babies, the youngest of us was 12 when he adopted us and I know he’s looking forward to having a baby around. Alfred is too, and Damian and Dick will compete for best uncle. Money is no object, you’ll get everything you and the babies need. It’s still going to be a big change obviously but there’s nothing to be scared of I promise,” Could he make that promise really? Well he just did so he’d better do his best to make sure it was kept.
“It’s not just that though,” Danny said and hesitated again. Jason stayed quiet to let him organize his thoughts. “My binder is hurting more to wear, my.. Chest aches, I told Bruce I was just incubating ghost cores. And that’s what I’ve been telling Myself too, but I got sick this morning and the babies are clones of me, and I’m half human. What if I actually am pregnant?
“I told Jazz I’d bring up going to a human doctor but then dodged it. I haven’t been in years and I am nervous about going again but it’s more than that. I don’t like my body, I’m too young for hormones or surgery but if my body changes. What if my chest hurts too much and I can’t wear my binder anymore? What if they grow more? They’ve always been small enough to hide before.
“I don’t mind the idea of my stomach growing, or even really being a mom. I’m a man but I do feel like I identify more with maternity than paternity. It’s really just my.. Breasts. God I hate that word. I don’t want them to grow, I don’t want to lactate or breastfeed. I mean, I DO, I actually really do but just the idea is giving my dysphoria at the same time that I really want to do it to bond with the babies.” It was like a dam had broken and Danny’s words came fast and a little loud, breathing hard between bouts of talking.
“Deep breaths please Danny, take a few deep breaths,” Jason soothed, taking one hand off the handlebars briefly to pat Danny’s hands where they were clasped over his stomach. He was a bit at a loss about this, none of his siblings were trans, he knew trans people but he’d never had to talk anyone through these particular problems. “These are a lot of what ifs to be panicking about. It’s totally your choice, the babies can be bottle fed if the time comes and you’re not up to it. There’s nothing wrong with that. We’ll all be here for you no matter what happens, but you really should go to the doctor Danny. At least then we’ll know what to expect right?”
“Will you come with me to the doctor? I’m a bit scared of human doctors, I’ve heard people talking about experimenting on me so much as Phantom that every time I’m in a lab-like environment now I can’t stop thinking about it,” Danny asked, a pleading edge to his voice.
“Ya, I’ll come with you, and whoever else you want,” Jason promised, because what else could he say? “We’ll make an appointment for you with Dr. Leslie, she sees all of us vigilantes, she sees just about everyone involved in the night life and never Ever talks to the cops or the feds. Trust me no one can get that woman to talk to anyone, she’s safe.”
“Thank you,” Danny murmured, leaning his cheek against Jason’s shoulder. The rest of the ride was a quiet one as Danny recovered and Jason tried not to overthink his lackluster responses.
-----
Jason parked a block away from the restaurant rather than trusting any concierge with his bike and waited for Danny to get off before he did. He took off his helmet and took Danny’s from him and locked them both in the storage compartment on his bike before leading the way, shoving his hands awkwardly in his pockets. He was never the most… socially competent. He was better than Tim but he was worse than Dick and Bruce and in moments like this he wished these things came a little easier to him.
Danny was quiet, his hands swinging loosely by his side as he followed, Jason noted the way he kept looking around them. They all did that, looking for threats civilians might not see, it was how you spotted a hero even when they weren’t trying to be spotted. Still there were no problems between the bike and the restaurant and when they got inside Jason softly asked the host to make sure Danny got one of the menus without prices. He was knew to this lifestyle, Jason remembered the first time he’d gone out to a fancy dinner with Wayne the prices had nearly given him a heart attack and he was younger and less set in his ways then Danny.
He didn’t want Danny to worry about the prices, he’d be paying and he was both the son of a millionaire and a crime lord, he could buy the entire fucking place without blinking. The host nodded understanding and ushered both of them to the most private table in the establishment.
They settled in and ordered drinks, Jason a coke and Danny a signature lemonade before they were left with the menus. Danny gave Jason a suspicious look when he noticed there weren’t any prices but when Jason innocently pretended not to notice Danny huffed and decided not to bring it up.
“Order whatever you want, appetizer and dessert too,” Jason encouraged, putting on his innocent face again when Danny gave him a Look.
“Alright,” Danny agreed with a dramatic sigh, he didn’t need to be pushed too hard though, Alfred had mentioned Danny was almost always hungry, wish was why Jason hadn’t chosen one of the fancy places with ridiculously small portions.
Danny took a while to choose, and asked Jason about a few items and words on the menu. Finally he sighed and put his menu down to indicate he was done. It wasn’t long before the waitress returned to take their order for appetizers and main before vanishing again.
“So,” Danny asked leaning against the table and clasping his hands. “You have questions?”

Tim’s family thinks he can cook really well.
He didn’t mean for this to go so far. It had been a misunderstanding by a well-meaning Dick the last time he was in Gotham and stopped by the boat to visit. Tim had reheated some leftovers in his fridge from the night before, and Dick’s eyes lit up the moment Tim set the plates down.
“Wow, that looks amazing,” he’d commented. Tim, exhausted from a long patrol and preoccupied with dread of having to wake up early, had merely agreed. Of course Bernard’s cooking looked amazing. He was almost as big on presentation as he was on flavor.
“Yeah. Tastes even better.”
What he didn’t realize was that Dick had assumed he made the food. Which wouldn’t have been a problem if not for the fact that Dick loved to brag on his siblings. The next week, Stephanie stopped by unannounced to visit.
“I can’t believe how much you like it here. In a good way, obviously,” she’d grinned while Tim heated up some of the french onion soup that his boyfriend had made him. Tim laughed as he used a terry cloth to handle the hot bowl, placing it down in front of Steph.
He sat next to her with his own bowl. The random visits were odd. But on the bright side, the need to be a good host was kind of forcing him to eat on a more normal schedule. Two birds, one stone he guessed.
“Yeah. I like the marina a lot,” he blew lightly on his spoonful, the soup still steaming hot. “The atmosphere is so different from anywhere I’ve lived. I think being around the marina folk has been good for me—”
“Ohmygod.”
Tim looked over, startled by the outburst. Steph was staring at her soup with wide eyes. Her hand covered her mouth. Tim’s brows drew close together in confusion. “Are you okay? Did you burn your tongue?”
Steph grabbed his shoulder in a firm grip. “You’ve been holding out on us!” She accused.
“Wh—”
“You’ve been sticking to easy foods when you cook at the manor, but here you have the good stuff!” Tim frowned at her words. The realization was beginning to sink in. Did she think he made the soup? He knew how to cook, but he was nowhere near his boyfriend’s level. Bernard was literally in school to be a chef. He liked to practice his assignments at Tim’s boat, suffering through using his poor excuse for a kitchen all so he could leave Tim with the food when it was finished.
Tim opened his mouth to break the news to Steph, but their phones rang out with the high pitched drone that meant someone needed backup. Stephanie sighed. She lifted the bowl and downed all she could in a few swallows before leaping to her feet. “Job never ends, huh?” She offered Tim a hand up, and he took it without hesitation.
“Nope. Let’s suit up.”
After that night, Tim forgot to correct her. He was busy, and his family getting the wrong idea about his cooking abilities just didn’t make the top of his priority list. Bernard kept cooking when he spent nights over, and family kept dropping by on other nights, somehow never crossing paths. Tim’s neighbors seemed perplexed on how he’d gone from only ever letting his boyfriend in to having company every other night. And Tim just…couldn’t find the right moment to set the record straight.
Everything came to a head in the summer, not too long after Tim’s birthday. He was sprawled out on his couch, head resting in Bernard’s lap as the blonde’s fingers scratched lightly at his scalp. It was the lazy kind of day they didn’t often get to spend together, and Tim was feeling warm and drowsy. That was, until his phone dinged with several text notifications, and he dug it out with a grumble to see who needed him.
stop spamming the gc
Dick: it’s august .. here we go
Steph: birthday month babey!!
Duke: my wallet…
Cass: Dami, Jason, Steph, and Duke all get the bday cake in their contact names :)
Steph: Tim I know you’re lurking. for the birthday month we all want you to bring GOOD FOOD TO THE FUNCTION PLS AND TY
Damian: do not forget my dietary restrictions if you do so.
Steph: you text like you’re 84
Tim groaned and let his phone clatter to the floor. Bernard’s fingers paused in his hair. “Bad news?” He asked, concern painting his voice.
Tim shook his head and scrubbed at his face with his hands. “Not really. It’s just—um. You know how you always leave food here for me?” He tilted his head back to look Bernard in the face, and his breath caught for a moment when he saw that his boyfriend was already looking down at him.
He snickered at Tim’s expression. “Yeah? Do you need more?” He asked. Tim was baffled by the question. His fridge hadn’t been empty in ages, and even with his frequent guests, Bernard made such large portions that it took him days to finish a dish. He had more than enough.
“No, it isn’t that. My family…” he hesitated, wondering how dumb this was going to sound. But Bernard was waiting, watching him expectantly, and these days he’d started filling in the gaps himself whenever Tim’s words trailed off thoughtfully. If he didn’t finish speaking quickly, Bernard would have an entirely new problem invented.
“…um, they think I can cook.”
Bernard burst out laughing.
Tim’s face burned pink. “Wh—hey,” he complained at the reaction. “I know how to cook, why are you laughing?”
Bernard wiped the corner of his eye, giggling like a maniac. “Sorry, sorry! You said that like you were coming out to me, and also I’ve seen you sauté,” he managed, and Tim rolled his eyes at the memory. He had sautéed just fine…mostly.
When Bernard was finished laughing at him and had caught his breath again, Tim explained his situation and showed him the texts. He raised an eyebrow. “Jeez. Four August birthdays? And they expect you to cook for all of them?”
Tim sighed. “Yeah. I could just tell them they’ve got the wrong guy, but now it’s birthday month and we’ve gotta plan quick.” It was actually a very rare occurrence that they got together for every birthday in August. Their schedules were so unpredictable. But all 4 was the goal.
Bernard chewed his lip in consideration. “Okay. What if…you give me a list of each of their favorite foods and any restrictions, and I’ll make the food.” He proposed. Tim sat up, turning to face the blonde fully now.
That was way too much work for somebody already cooking for assignments. Plus, Tim didn’t want to pretend he was the one cooking anymore. He said as much to Bernard, who refused to look fazed.
“First off, I can cook 4 meals in my free time. Easy. And second off, I guess you’ll just have to bring me with you to clear up any misunderstandings,” he grinned.
Tim perked up instantly. That was…a perfect solution, actually. Everything would be cleared up, he wouldn’t have to show up without what was expected of him, and the best part, he’d get to bring Bernard with him. He’d been itching to start working his boyfriend into more of his family’s meetups because it was looking like their relationship was pretty serious. He wanted to be able to bring him to their holidays, parties, and dinners. This was a perfect opportunity to start.
He leaned in and kissed Bernard’s cheek. It would never cease to amuse him how a real kiss on the lips was nothing to his boyfriend, but Tim kissing his face always had him turning red.
“Oh.” Bernard touched his face. “You have a crush on me or something?” He teased weakly, and Tim laughed as he settled back down on the couch, his head resting in Bernard’s lap as his fingers found his hair again.
A week later, Tim showed up to the manor with Bernard following close behind, a pan of vegan chili noodles in his arms. Dick opened the door. He beamed once he saw Tim.
“Hey! C’mon, everyone is already inside, so if you brought the food you can…” he trailed off as he finally spotted Bernard behind Tim, who was fighting to keep a straight face. He blinked. “Oh, is this…?”
Bernard carefully balanced the dish in one hand and stretched out the other in greeting. “I’m the chef.” He said with barely contained glee.
The realization seemed to hit Dick all once. His mouth parted in surprise. He glanced back and forth between Tim and Bernard. Finally, he shook his head in disbelief. “You know, this actually makes…so much more sense. Sorry, Tim.”
“Wh—excuse me, what’s that supposed to mean?”

Tumblr media
*My GIF
I’m finally getting better at making fic’s longer. As always I hope you guys enjoy it and that my inability to spell doesn’t reflect in my writing to much🙃
Word count: 1.4k
Warnings: little bit angsty
====================================
Damian starts to develop feelings towards his best friend, he doesn't understand what these feelings mean so who better to go to but his big brother Dick?
====================================
Damian hated this class. Out of all the classes he had to waste his day attending, this one was the worst because the one person who made school bearable was on the other side of the room. So, he was stuck sitting next to morons who only wanted to talk to him because he was Damian Wayne.
He was zoned out not paying any attention to the class, he didn’t need to, he knew more about the subject then the teacher did and that left him to doing the one thing that had seemed to take over his life recently, drawing you. He sat there sketching lines onto his book glancing up to look over to you as you sat with your face resting in your hand looking half asleep. Damian smiled to himself as he looked back down to the sketch. No matter how many times he drew you he could never make it perfect, never fully capture the beauty you hold.
It had been almost two months of Damian drawing you. You had found one of his sketch books and were so shocked at how talented he was, the detail was incredible, so obviously as his best friend you begged him to draw you.
∞∞
“No.” he sighed
“C’monnnn Dami please! Just one sketch. It’s just one please!” you grab his arm and he squirms a little.
“Oh sorry... I forgot the touching thing. But seriously please? Just draw me once.” you pull you hand away and give him puppy dog eyes. You were the one person he listened to, not a lot, but more than anyone else.
“Fine. One okay?” he looks over to you and smiles as you start clapping and smiling.
“Thank you Dami!”
∞∞
He had finished the sketch and just looked at it just wasn’t good enough, it was missing something and he couldn’t make it look perfect but you had seen him stop so you practically ran over to him and sat next to him and ran your fingers over the edge of the paper and you had smiled so much, you seemed so happy.
As happy as you were with the picture Damian just couldn’t let go of the fact something was missing, so he tried again, using the picture of the two of you that he kept in his room as a reference.
It drove him crazy, whenever he saw you there was something so beautiful that he just couldn’t capture in his drawings and eventually after every day you spent together, he would sit down and draw it.
Over the two months he had filled up the entire book with memories and whenever he looked through his sketchbook he was filled with happiness and something completely unexplainable.
“Damian since you seem to be paying attention what is the answer to the question?” the teacher asked trying to embarrass him. It backfired quickly when Damian answered correctly without even looking up from his book. The class tried to stifle their laughter as the teacher turned red and tried to continue with the class.
Damian shot his eyes up to look at you again and he heard your laugh after what had occurred and he just smiled back at you. He didn’t know what was happening to him.
How he felt about you confused him which he hated Damian absolutely hated not know what was happening especially when his own feelings are what were confusing him. He needed to know what was happening and he couldn’t work it out on his own... he needed help...
∞∞
He was never going to let Damian live this down. Damien actually asking for someone else's help.
“I swear Grayson. You will never utter a word of this conversation to anyone is that understood?” Damian scowls at Dick as they sit across from each other.
“Sure, okay fine what do you need help with Damian?” Dick slouches over resting his elbows on his knees.
“Whenever I’m with Y/n... I feel weird.” Damian says trying to piece together the words.
“Weird? What do you mean weird?”
“If I knew what I meant I would have said that wouldn't I Grayson? Uh forget it.” Damian goes to stand up.
“No! Hey Damian, I'm sorry come on I want to help.” Dick says standing and gently puts his hand on Damian’s shoulder, “Just talk to me try to explain it?”
“Fine... when I’m with her I...I just...I feel like I’m happier... I feel like a better person and I feel...okay I mean actually okay.” Damian sat back down and but his head in his hands. “And... there is just something unexplainable and...I don’t understand... my entire life i have know exactly how to feel and how to respond... how to turn off my feelings...but I can’t and I don’t know how to deal with it... i don’t even know what it is!”
“Heh... sounds like you're in love.” Dick lets out a small almost sad chuckle. “First love...wow”
“Love?-”
“Yeah love it is what happens when people-”
“I know what love is Grayson!” Damian replies hastily and rolls his eyes, “I just didn’t know it felt like... this...”
“It’s love. It feels like love. You just know!” Dick says almost like he was confused
“No Grayson. I don’t know that’s why I came to you.” Damian knew people didn’t understand but at this point they didn’t even try to understand that he couldn't process emotion like other people, they just brush it off.
“I’m trying to be supportive but how do you not know what love is like? Any kind of love?”
“Well Dick some of us didn’t grow up perfectly.”
“Perfectly?! Perfectly really?? No one in this house grew up perfectly! Except maybe Alfred, but that’s beside the point!”
“Yeah well you could be less of a dick, Dick.” Damien stood up and walked away without a second thought.
∞∞
“I will never understand the need for a bed the size of a normal room.” You laugh as you fall back onto Damian’s bed and lay there looking up at his ceiling.
“I don’t get it either but its comfortable.”  Damian raises his head and puts his pencil on his desk.
“I agree maximum comfort levels. I should sleep over more.” you smile and watching you on his bed his face heats up and you move around on the bed and walk over to him.
You sit up on his desk and look down at Damian’s sketch book.
“Is that me?” you move to grab the book, but Damian gets to it first and slams it shut.
“Nope.” his eyes meet yours and he smiles, “Not you at all.”
“Hm I don’t think so, I'm pretttyy sure that was me.”
He looks down and he tried to stay calm. Did you hate him? Did you think he was creep? Were you going to stop hanging out with him?
“Let me see it!” you laugh and try to grab the book.
“No!”
“Please?”
“...Fine...”
He hands the book over to you and his hand brushed yours and you smiled.
You open the book to the first page and see a beautiful sketch of your day out at the beach with him, you flip over the pages one by one and are met with an entire book full of drawings of you.
“Damian...”
That was it you thought he was a creep.
“These are so amazing...” you reach the end of the book and find a page with your sketch in a box in the middle of the page.
“Sorry...this is weird...” He looks at the wall and straightens up in his seat.
You reach over and place your hand on his cheek, you run your finger over the side of his face.
“What are you talking about? They are amazing Damian what are you embarrassed about?”
“You don’t think I'm creepy for having a sketch book full of pictures of you?” Damian laughs and leans into your hand.
“No... it's so sweet.” you look down trying to force words pass the lump in your throat. “It’s nice to have the guy you like take that much interest in you...” you mumble to quietly.
“You like me?”
“Yeah...maybe...a little bit...”
“Good.” Damian stands up and tugs you off the desk and hugs you. “Because... I think I like you too.”
“Damian?”
He pulls back.
“Yeah...?”
“Can I kiss you?”
He smiles and you lean into him and press your lips against his and you slowly close your eyes, grasping your waist tightly he pulls you closer to him. The moment seems to last for an eternity and once you pull away you rest you head on his chest.
“Just one sketch huh...?” you look up and Damien rolls his eyes at chuckles.
“Just one sketch.”

lazy sundays
prompt — your fiancé, dick grayson, is the love of your life. was. you think he’s dead, but in reality, he’s out there as a spyral agent. meanwhile, you start appreciating the little things more.
tags — reader got out of an ED, mental health issues. angst and comfort, dick grayson x fem!reader. sfw
jason todd was the one who was attracted to you first. he saw you at a wayne gala and thought you were the love of his life. he asked you out, and you immediately said yes, intimidated by the fact that a wayne was the one who noticed you.
dick didn’t even notice you, which you didn’t mind too much. jason was all that you needed. he was kind and funny but he had this really annoying behavior where he would scream at you in fights. like, scream. one night, things got heated and he left into the night, leaving you behind to go outside, no doubt to clear his mind.
you decided to take care of yourself and make it up to him, so, you had finished his laundry. when putting his clothes away, you noticed a very red helmet with another suit with keys in them. you would’ve thought that it was a cute cosplay prop if the keys didn’t open up a drawer with all sorts of guns in the bottom drawer.
you would’ve freaked out if the radio next to his guns didn’t just go static with —“fuck—nightwing here—wounded on fifth—.” and your blood went cold. jason todd? knew who nightwing was?
you didn’t even think about it, think if it was a trap. you took the radio and drove where nightwing said he was injured. nobody responded and you were praying that he was alive.
and that was when dick grayson, really, really saw you. saw your perseverance, your stubborn nature and how you always looked to the brighter sides of things even when he was stabbed in several places with a split rib and a gash to his head.
you were not a doctor, god no, you were in the beginning of your master’s degree, but with strength that rivaled a mother whose child was underneath a car, you managed to pick him up and put him in your car.
“so jason told you who I am? the little shit. he was supposed to talk to bruce before he revealed our identities. that’s what I get for having a love struck brother, huh?”
you stopped halfway and then looked at him in shock, your mouth open in a slight ‘o’. and he realized that you didn’t know, that your boyfriend of seven months was hiding things from you.
“just take me to bruce’s. say you know, and say I need help.” you let out a groan at it and press on the gas.
jason wasn’t to be found for the next few days. dick was though.
when he recovered and appeared at your doorstep with flowers and a sheepish smile, a cast and a boyish smile that felt like infidelity, your face flushed and you took them happily.
“thanks for saving me,” he said, and leaned against the doorway. unlike jason, his mannerisms and way of acting came easy, smoother, a better flow. and you fell so bad just thinking that. “may I come in?”
and against your better judgment, you stepped side. “mi casa es tu casa.”
his eyes twinkled at that. “tu casa es muy hermosa,” he said. “como el tuyo.”
“you know spanish?”
“I know mandarin, spanish, french, romansh, german, portuguese, hindi, japanese, and arabic. well, learning. dami’s teaching me that one.”
your jaw drops. “I just know english, my mother tongue, and high school spanish.”
“still better than 90% of america.”
that was how it started—he met you every so often, taking coffee out, mini golfing, kayaking, while jason grew ever so distant in the corner. you couldn’t blame jason for it, either. it wasn’t like you were making much of an effort to revive the relationship.
but everything changed that one night when jason asked you to go to a wayne gala with him. out of all his siblings, he had chosen the short straw this time. you said no—you didn’t want to go to another one of them and get hounded by paparazzi at this point.
and jason was fine with that. it wasn’t like he particularly liked going to galas anyways, so he understood your denial. until an hour later when on instagram in one of the more popular news sites, a viral photo of you and dick hugging in the rain together and staring at each other after getting a hole in one in a really hard mini golfing course started circling around.
“what the fuck is wrong with you? are you fucking him? don’t even answer that, I can tell. and even if you aren’t, I know you want to.”
“no, jason, what the fuck is wrong with you? I haven’t done anything with dick, nor do I want to. we’re friends.”
“you don’t underhand, y/n. I’m gonna be the guy that the papers make fun of once you leave me for him. so I’ll do what you don’t have the guts to. we’re done.”
your world didn’t shatter because of that, surprisingly. he moved out of your apartment. you watched gilmore girls reruns. you ate a lot of food. some cried tears, but nothing much. until one day, dick appeared at your door out of the blue.
"dick?" you raised an eyebrow, looking at him with an unsure look in your eye. "what are you doing here?" you were wearing your sweats with a dumbed down look in your eye that clearly stated you didn't know what the hell was happening.
"i'm in love with you. i'm sorry—but i can't stop thinking about you. your laugh is infectious and when you smile it's like a cloudy sky just turns back to sunshine—"
you stepped forward and kissed him. you thought the tabloids were full of shit, but you knew that they were right about this one thing.
after two years of dating, he had done a vigilante trip to india to track down some passages. while he was there, he went and bought a shiny ring. you'd marry him with paper rings. he planned a view of a skyline and it went perfectly, thank god.
but he died. he died and now you're sitting here in the apartment, staring at a photo of the two of you. you miss everything about him. the way he'd subtly add more food to your plate when you were having your ED. when he held you throughout the night after a panic attack even though he had patrol that day. when. he defended you from the paparazzi, when he screamed at jason right back when jason found out that you and dick were dating.
don't tell me you're staring at that damned photo. - tim
you look at your phone and sigh before closing down your phone. tim wouldn't understand. he wouldn't get it. how could he? it wasn't like he lost the love of his life. he was a robin. he knew loss. you didn't. he also lost his brother, you remind yourself, and that just makes it all worse.
you grab the photo and curl up in a ball in fetal position. you miss lazy sunday afternoons when you've eaten too much and that food is resting in your stomach. your head would be in your fiancé's lap and his hands would be in your hair and the minute he would move his hands from your hair or your back, you'd wake up, your body discomforted by the lack of touch. that's my superpower, you'd joke.
no, he'd respond. your superpower is being the most amazing and talented woman i have ever had the pleasure of meeting. i would do anything for you. your beauty rivals the stars in the night sky. i love you like how the moon loves the earth.
at the single thought of it, you curl up and sob, the tears racking down as you clench the photos to your heart. five months and thirteen days and you are not a single second away from properly healing. you'll never love again. you know that for a fact.
it's ten in the night when you wake up, and the couch is stained with tears. haley is right beside you, looking sad and sullen. she misses her best friend too, but she always hates it when her other best friend is crying.
"i haven't fed you? fuck," you swear before standing up. everything hurts. your heart feels too heavy. there's cuts on your wrists. you stare at them, the red from the blood dried up.
he also stares at them too. he vows that he's coming back no matter what.

Best Man
Dick didn’t know what to expect when he arrived at the Manor, but it certainly wasn’t a flustered, obviously swooning Damian.
He’d came to check on him after another one of his balls with other royal families. This one being the first to be held in a place called the Infinite Realms with family’s from other dimensions and universes.
It was stressful for everyone, letting the packs youngest omega leave and go to other countries–and now other dimensions–to mingle and chat up princes and princesses like himself.
Unfortunately he would be the only one besides Alfred to talk with Damian when he first gets back. Tim and Bruce were stuck head first into a bombing, Jason was tracking down the guy who killed three of his workers, and the girls were away for a well-deserved vacation.
That left him to walk in and immediately be hit with the scent of maple syrup, sweet and earthy in a way Damian’s scent had never been before. Damian made a beeline for him from where he was sitting, obviously waiting. “Richard!” Damian smiled, “We must speak! At once!”
He let himself be pulled to Damian’s room, his mind turning. What could have happened to make Damian Al Ghul-Wayne smile, let alone flustered? Why was he so happy, because he was obviously, very openly, happy?
Damian pulled him into his room, locked the door, then pushed him onto the bed and began pacing. “I will first explain to you the way I, and by proxy every other heir in attendance of this ball, communicate.” Dick let him speak, knowing he wouldn’t appreciate being interrupted.
“First and foremost, every little thing matters. From the way you position your hands to the tilt of you head, where you look, and even the position of your feet, every little thing means a completely different thing. This means that there are over a million–billion, really–things that you can say and express without a word.”
Damian looked to him for confirmation that he understood, then continued. “Not only that, but in the ballroom setting the order of which you introduce oneself to those in attendance is equally, if not more, important. As one could expect you go from those you deem most important to least. The shape of which you do these introductions also showcases this, moving past one party to another of higher standing.”
Here he paused, flushed again, and began fanning himself. “So, as you can imagine, a straight line means that you are the most important person in the room to this man.” “‘This man’?” He asked, some prices falling into place.
“Yes!” Damian said, turning towards him with a love struck, dazed expression, cupping his face and swooning. “Oh Richard, I met an alpha! The most wonderful, handsome, benevolent alpha in the world!” Dick couldn’t help himself; he squealed and hugged Damian, squeezing tight before setting him down next to him. “That’s amazing, Dami! Tell me everything—start from the beginning.” His little brother found someone! Someone who made him this happy—It was a miracle! Damian seemed very pleased with his reaction and grabbed his pillow as he began again.
“As I said, a straight line means you are the most important person. But what you do while you cross the room matters as well. Where you look, where you stop, how quickly you go, understand?” At his nod Damian flushed again, squeezing the pillow. “So, a straight line, with no stops, never looking away, and coming to me from the other side of the ballroom in less than a minute?”
“That means your very important to him.” Dick couldn’t help his high tone, Damian’s happiness seemed to be affecting him. Not like he minded; this was the first time one of his sibling came to him practically bursting with excitement about a potential relationship. This was a moment he would cherish forever.
“Yes!” Damian said, his tone matching Dicks own. “But that’s not all! The first meeting is also incredibly important, for so many reasons I don’t have time to name them all. But the first handshake can say a million things just like everything else. And since he was the first person I talked to–and in accordance to his standing-I gave a half bow to show I respected him but that I was also of high standing as an Al Ghul, dipped my head since he is a king and I am a prince and held out my hand waist high as an invitation.”
“And what he did in return?” Damian’s voice dipped into an excited whisper as he clutched the pillow and leaned in. “He did a full bow, bent his right knee and put his right foot behind his left with the heel raised, his left arm behind his back, took my hand with his right and kissed it long and deeply, all while maintaining eye contact!”
Damian pushed his face into the pillow for a second, then looked up. “And the meaning of that? The kiss? The eye contact?” Dick leaned forward, “What dose it mean?” Damian flushed again, his scent growing sweeter. “All of that combined means ‘there are no words in the languages we speak to describe your beauty’.” “Oh. My. God!”
“I know!” Damian voice was muffled as he screamed into his pillow. “And that was only the introduction, Richard! The introduction! Oh, and everything after was a dream.” He raised his head and grinned—a real, genuine smile. It warmed Dicks heart to see his usually stoic brother so happy.
“All while we were talking he wanted to know me. Not the Al Ghul heir, not the son of the bat, me! He asked about my interests, my favorite things—Richard, he called me Damian! You almost always refer to a heir by their last name because that’s what’s important to you. But he called me only Damian! I was important to him!”
Dick couldn’t help but laugh as he asked, “You called him by his name, right? Oh! His name! What’s his name? And you said he was a king, what’s he the king of?” Damian blushed–blushed!–and nodded. “Yes, it was only appropriate. His name is Daniel Phantom, King of the Infinite Realms, the afterlife dimension. Simply put, every afterlife that exists is located in this dimension.”
“Oooo, do you think there’s a queen? If the seats open~” Damian blushed at the implication, pushing his face into his pillow again and taking slow breaths. He was a little concerned about the whole ‘king of the afterlife’ thing–and wait, wasn’t the ball held in the Infinite Realms? Does that mean Damian was in the afterlife?–but if the Percy Jackson books have taught him anything it’s that the specifics matter. King of the afterlife is different from king of the dead or death itself.
“No, there is no queen. Daniel was only recently crowned after defeating Pariah Dark, the previous king and tyrant. Oh, I almost forgot to mention! You remember how the JLD marked Amity Park, Illinois an area of concern and in less that 72 hours lifted the warning without doing anything?” “Yeah, drove B crazy cus’ they wouldn’t say why or how or what happened.” “It was Daniel and Pariah Dark fighting for the throne!”
“What? Back up a bit,” Dick asked, confused. “What do you mean ‘it was him’?” Damian’s eyes shined as he explained. “Apparently, the entirety of Amity Park–Daniels home town–was dragged into the Infinite Realms due to Pariah Dark waking up and attacking! Daniel had to fight Pariah Dark to stop him from continuing his assault of this earth and the surrounding dimensions and universes, which is why he was trapped in the forever sleep.”
Damian swooned again, hugging his pillow as he sighed, “He saved not only earth but the surrounding multiverse, and confined in me that he didn’t even know he would become king! He said that the only thing that mattered to him was keeping everybody safe! Isn’t it heroic?” Dick expressed his agreement, making a mental note to tell all this to Bruce. He’d want to know about a kid Damian’s age who’s saved the multiverse seemingly all by himself.
Which reminded him, “How old is he?” Didn’t want another Midnighter situation. Damian’s advances on his first crush were hell to handle. “He’s one year my elder, and oh Grayson I was not exaggerating when I said he is gorgeous. He—well, hm.”
Damian paused and then pulled out his phone. “Please allow me a moment to acquire the correct knowledge of the colors blue, white, green and black so I can accurately portray to you just how otherworldly beautiful Daniel is.” Dick let him pursue the internet for a while, mentally filling out the start of a report form for Bruce. He returned his attention to Damian when he was ready.
“Now fully educated I can describe him in the detail he deserves. His skin is colored light blue grey and his face, possibly his whole body, is covered in freckles that take the shape of constellations colored passport blue. His hair is a dancing flame pulled back into a ponytail colored Mint cream, a greenish shade of white. His eyes are Lazarus colored, as is his tongue and blood. His teeth are sharp canines, piercing skin easily.”
A little worried how he knew that, but Dick would ask later. “His crown, the Crown of Fire, is a halo of Vantablack ice. The other piece showcasing his status is the Ring of Rage, colored same shade of black with a gemstone colored Carmine red.”
Damian sighed dreamily. “He was dressed elegantly, a Lazarus green suit vest over a vantablack button up and tie. His cape was clasped around his shoulders with a gold chain, pure white on the outside but a galaxy on the inside. It moved, Richard. He told me it changed galaxies and that at the moment it was showing the galaxy of dimension 62V-K.”
“Richard,” Damian said softly, his face flushed and eyes shining. “When he took my hand….I shivered. At first I thought nothing of it, but the longer I stood by his side it became harder and harder to deny it. His scent was….attractive. Like hickory and rain, maple and lightning. He smelled like a rolling thunderstorm, a summer morning.”
“I wanted to be closer, to drown in his scent. But it wasn’t just me.” Dick was certain he was about to die. It wasn’t just him? Oh no. “Were there others?” Dick asked worryingly. Damian blushed more, shaking his head then pushing his face into his pillow. When he raised his head he looked dazed. “It wasn’t just me, Richard. He...My scent…we were in the garden when he brought it up.”
“He’d wanted to show me the animals in the sanctuary, star seals and pomerantulas. We were sitting under a wysteria tree watching them roam. We were….I guess you would call it ‘cuddling’. Just…leaning against and holding each other. His arm was wrapped around my waist while his other held my hand.”
Damian blushed again and pushed his face back into the pillow as Dick ‘aww’ed. He raised his head once more and continued. “He turned to me and told me he couldn’t contain his desire any longer. When I asked what he meant…..” Damian took deep breath.
“He asked to smell my scent gland.” Dick blue screened for a moment. “He WHAT!?” He leaned forward, thinking he had misheard. Asking to smell a scent gland was more than a big deal. It was practically a mini proposal! “Did–what did you say?” Damian smiled again. “I said yes. He pulled my hand and put his lips to my wrist gland. He inhaled deeply and shivered. Richard, he growled.”
“He kissed my gland and told me it was taking all his strength and willpower not to mark me as his mate right that second. I…I didn’t know how to respond, and without thinking I told him he could scent me if I could scent him.” Dick gaped at him. Damian was very particular about physical contact, even more so about scenting. For him to ask an alpha to scent him, to ask if he could scent him—Damian was more than interested.
“He immediately agreed, and then….” Damian paused and Dick thought his head was going to explode from how red it was. “Theeeen??” Dick inquired. “Oh Richard, he pulled me onto his lap and against his chest.” Damian fell back into the bed, still clutching his pillow. “He began scenting and kissing my neck, telling me he wanted me in ways he didn’t know how to describe.”
Damian sighed dreamily. “He told me he wanted to court me, to make me feel like the most special and important person in the multiverse because that’s was I was to him. That he wanted to spread every waking and resting moment with me. Richard, he asked my opinion on children.”
“Oh and scenting him was heaven,” Damian swooned again, “to claim him as my alpha, even in the smallest ways, made my head spin. Richard….I began kissing his neck.” Dicks jaw was so open it was practically in the batcave. “You kissed him?? His scent gland?? Did he like it? What did you say to him???”
Damian nodded, eyes blown wide with a smile on his face. “I told him I accept his advances and that I wanted to mate as soon as possible. I told him I’d never wanted anyone–anything–more than I wanted to be his omega. That I wanted him to be my alpha. And then…. Oh it was so foolish and irresponsible of me to do, but I couldn’t wait any longer.” Damian put a hand over his heart.
“I kissed him.” Dick gasped. “Wh–did he kiss back?” “Yes!” Damian said, sitting up. “He kissed me back! It was so….soft at first, but then—oh it’s embarrassing to say.” Dick clasped his hands together. “ please please pleaseeeeee tell meeeee. You can’t leave me on a cliffhanger!” Damian laughed a little, laughing louder when Dick pulled him into a hug, still pleading.
“Ok, ok, I will tell you!” He giggled, allowing Dick to keep hugging him, which said a lot about how happy he was. “We–well, I don’t really know how, but one moment we were sitting up and the next he had me pinned to the ground.” Dick choked. Damian only laughed again. “Yes, I was surprised as well. He—we were…” Damian cleared his throat.
“….I believe it’s called ‘French kissing.’” Damian his his face in his hands at Dicks scandalized gasp. “It…was so warm. He tasted wonderful, and I wanted it to continue forever. I….I’ve never been more impulsive than I was in that moment. I put my hands in his hair–and I’m surprised it didn’t burn me–but anyways, I pulled him closer to me. But it wasn’t enough.”
Damian laughed a little, peeking through his fingers. “I…ha…I flipped us. So I was–dear lord Richard, I was sitting on his lap! I was straddling him!” Dick gasped again. “My baby brother, straddling someone? Oh pinch me, I think I’m dreaming!” He teased, smiling as Damian pinched him. “It certainly felt like a dream.” Damian sighed.
“Did he like it?” Damian hid his face again. “Yes, very much. I could smell and….feel him, if you understand.” Oh my god. Dick ‘ooo’ed and Damian laughed airily. “He obviously liked it, but did you?” Dick laughed as Damian squeaked, gasping again at his small nod. “Ooohhhh my little brother is growing uuupp,” he cried, hugging him again. “He has a boyfriend, he’s being courted, pretty soon you’ll be mated; it’s too much! Just yesterday you were eight!”
Damian didn’t try to push him away, leaning into him instead. “You are ok with this?” He asked hopefully, “You will allow him to court me?” Dick pulled back so he could look at Damian fully. “Damian, I’ve never seen you more happy than you are now. If this alpha can make you smile and laugh like this just after the first meeting, he has more than my blessing. He should be more worried about what I’ll do to him if he doesn’t court you.”
Damian laughed happily, hugging him. “I am very glad. I was worried you’d be against it, for I know Father will be.” He had a good point. Bruce went over-protectively ballistic when he found out Roy and Kori were courting Jason. When he finds out Daniel is the fucking King of the afterlife? It’ll take every super to hold him back from going to the Infinite Realms and interrogating it’s king.
“After a few minutes of, um….kissing, he pulled back rather quickly, so quickly in fact that I believed I’d done something wrong. Thankfully that was not the case.” Damian said, continuing after a moment. “I’d asked him and he quickly told me that I’d done nothing wrong, and that—that I was perfect. He said that he was having trouble controlling himself, and that if we continued…”
“Oh my god.” Dick whispered. “Damian, show me your neck right now.” Damian gasped and almost shrieked a scandalized ‘RICHARD!’ as Dick pulled at his shirt. Thankfully, there were no marks, some light bruises, but that was normal with kissing. He allowed Damian to smack his arm after. “How irresponsible do you believe me to be?! I tell you I do something without thinking once and suddenly you treat me like a harlot!?” Dick laughed as he apologized, conceding that it had been a little rude. Damian took a moment to collect himself before continuing.
“It is embarrassing to say, but while we were, ahem….busy, his sister appeared to inform us the ball would soon be over and Daniel had to give his closing speech as the host.” Dick laughed at Damian’s expression. He knew the mortifying feeling of a sibling walking in while you were making out with someone, and was glad Damian got to experience it.
“Her name is Jasmine, and I do hope you do not meet. I know your history with tall redheads.” He laughed again at Damians expression. “But more importantly, after Daniels speech he gave me a courting gift.” Dick gasped and watched as Damian quickly went to his dresser and dug under everything to bring out a small black box.
Damian came back and sat down next to him, opening it to reveal a ring. It was a green gemstone with a black band. The band was carved into a blooming flower with the gem in the center with leafs coming out the sides slightly. The gemstone wasn’t one of this world, or dimension most likely. The color changed shades of green depending on the light, the cut changing with it. To the left it was zigzags, to the rights it was a jagged bismuth, and when Damian pulled it back Dick saw it change to liquid.
Damian pulled it out and put it on his left ring finger, and Dick watched as it changed shape to fit his finger. Damian sighed dreamily as he turned his hand this way and that, tracing the gem with his other thumb. “He told me this was his mothers wedding ring, and that she had given her engagement ring to his sister and her wedding ring to him. Apparently his father created this jewel for his mother and carved the band, and he said he’d do the same for my wedding band.”
“Man, Daniel knows how to make a move!” Dick whistled as he took Damian’s hand to see the ring better. “I’ve seen some amazing courting gifts in my day, but his mothers wedding ring as the first gift? You said his dad made this gem for his mom? Does that mean he’s going to make the same gem for you?” Damian blushed as Dick admired the ring.
“I believe so, since according to Daniel this gem is currently the only one in existence, making my wedding ring the second.” Damian stopped for a second, making Dick pause too. Damian was still and silent for about thirty seconds before he exclaimed “My god, it’s a tradition!” Dick blinked. “..what?” “It’s a family tradition! It’s something his father did, he’ll do, and our children will do as well! It’s generational!”
Damian was fanning himself and blushing again, and Dick couldn’t help but laugh. Of course thats what does it. A tradition. And probably also the fact that Daniel was already talking about their wedding. Damian was also going on and on about the wedding, who would be there and what type of flowers and what he would wear.
“Father and Mother will walk me down the aisle, of course, and Jon will be groomsman as well as Colin, Jason, Tim, and Duke.” Dick raised an eyebrow. “What about me?” Damian smiled at him. “You’ll be my best man, of course.”

Dark Blue Moon and the Suffering Sun part 6
Pain throbbed from every part of his body. Teal blood leaked from where his scales had been ripped off, and fins torn in two, but the adrenaline was in full swing. Danny forced his eyes open in spiteful glaring. This was a new low even for Skulker.
Danny shifted his body. Thank Jane Austen that Damian hadn’t taken much of the impact, and curse her too for him being right about the dolphins. Danny shoved the kid behind him, even as he clutched his torn up side.
“Phantom, you’re injur-“
“Get behind me.” Danny snapped, putting an inhuman growl into his words. Dami went uncharacteristically quiet at the command.
Skulker loomed overhead, smug bastard. Guy gloats about skinning a fourteen-year-old for sport, fails, then comes back for a ten-year-old instead.
“It is I, Skulker, the greatest hunter in the ocean, and these are hunting dogs.” The dolphins circled around him, even bumping noses with his suit and accepting pats Ugh. As if he couldn’t get any grosser. “And you, Damian Wayne, have a lovely fish tank back at my cabin reserved just for you.”
Danny let magic build up in his arms. All his willpower went into not flinching from the searing pain as stressed muscles took on even more strain. “C-can it Skulker. I thought you were creepy enough with the pelt thing, now you’re outdoing even Vlad, and that’s a fucking achievement. Maybe you should get a cat?”
Skulker slammed his foot on the floor, if there had been a floor. “THE OCEAN’S GREATEST HUNTER DOES NOT NEED A CAT! PERISH!”
Skulker’s suit opened up at the back to reveal blinking torpedo tubes. Danny unleashed his cold magic along the net. The rope flash froze. Pain surged through his tail, but Danny pushed through and launched out with Damian in tow, shattering the ice.
The dolphins squealed again, but with Danny surging out of range, it barely did any damage.
“Damian, take this!” Danny yelled. He unhooked the wrist ray from his utility belt and shoved it into Damian’s hands. “It goes on your wrist. Press the button to arm it. Clench your fist to fire!”
Danny clicked and whistled. The landscape reflected his calls back at him.
His lateral line spiked with energy. Danny swerved to the side just as a torpedo sailed past him. Damian leaned to the side and aimed the wrist way behind them. Watery explosions erupted and sent shockwaves catapulting them further. Holy shit, where did this kid learn to shoot a wrist gun?! Danny’s line alerted him to two bodies overhead. The dolphins were gaining on them quick.
“I’m gonna flip. Hold on tight!” Belly up, Danny fired three quick beams. Two of them missed and hit the surface. One snagged a dolphin right in the tail. It tumbled out of control and crashed into its partner with a distressed click. In his arms, Damian gasped auidibly.
Danny clicked in a high pitch, almost inaudible to humans. He sped along the seafloor south. He kept clicking, and clicking, making sure he was right. A volley of energy beams cascaded down and Danny zigzagged between them. A shot hit its mark. His sail burned as it tore a hole in it. They needed some space fast.
A spear formed in his hand. Danny went belly up again. He took a moment to aim his shot. Skulker fired another torpedo. With an overhead throw, the spear took off and hit the torpedo straight on. A second spear went at blinding speed and puncture Skulker in one of his boosters. A third one impaled him straight on in the leg. Skulker cried out.
Just ahead of them, Danny spotted their salvation. The trench he detected earlier!
With one last look at the hunter, Danny dived into the trench. As much as the guy prided himself a master of the hunt, even the ocean’s pressure would squeeze him like a grape. As the adrenaline faded from his body, and the colour faded from his vision, Danny made for the first cave he saw. With the last of his strength, he entered the cave, before crashing to the floor.
“Damian, need food, to heal..”
“Phantom? Phantom?!” Damian cried out. The older boy’s gills still moved. He could still feel Phantom’s pulse under his wrist.
Damian didn’t even catch himself warbling in terror. Damian tore through Phantom’s pockets. He tossed supplies and tools out until he located the bandages. The bandages went around whatever wounds he could reach, but Phantom was so large he couldn’t even push him to a more even position. It took all Damian’s strength just to lift the older boy enough to bring the bandages around his body.
Damian heaved shallow breaths as he worked. “Phantom, are you awake? Please, listen to me.” But Phantom did not stir.
Damian’s vision went blurry, and his eyes felt slimy and wet and clogged. He wiped the pearlescent tear away, but paused at the teal blue stain on his green-scaled hand. Phantom’s blood. He stared at Phantom’s sail, its spine snapped in two in some places, and torn up like a tattered blanket in others. His breath itched in his throat. Phantom’s gills looked raw, and it was clear they were struggling. Damian’s felt like they were cramping. He didn’t dare touch the sail, or the gills, nor any of his other fins, for he didn’t have the faintest clue what to do with them. His ignorance would only damage them further.
Just as his ignorance had caused this disaster in the first place…
Suddenly, he felt very, very small. Damian’s head flicked between the mouth of the cave, deep enough that it appeared like twilight even though it was mid-afternoon, and to Phantom. Phantom needed stitches, and more bandages, and disinfectant, none of which they had access to. Phantom had packed up almost everything in his home base except the thermos, and somehow he barely had any medical supplies. Frustration welled up in Damian until he wanted to scream.
Damian shot off, but stopped himself inches before the exit. What would he even do? This trench was a wasteland as far as the eye could see. How could one call a hospital in the middle of the Pacific? And even if there was help out there, a primal fear crawled out from the back of Damian’s brain. The thought of leaving the safety of this cave became unnaturally terrifying. Against his wishes, fears of predators lurking in every direction consumed his mindscape, of human fishermen casting nets from above. The darkness of the cave beckoned to him with promises of warm and comfort far away from the dangers of the ocean.
Damian backed away from the mouth. His mouth hung open in horror. Hot tears continued to pour out, despite his attempts to bat them away. His body was weak, his only companion out of commission with no way to save him, and even his very mind was faltering.
And this time he couldn’t even blame it on anyone but himself. He was weak. He let his guard down twice and now he couldn’t even be rational about it. All he could feel was pulsing dread and the tears that just intensified the more he tried to push them back.
Damian laid his head upon Phantom’s tail. He stared blankly through his flesh and counted his bones as he simply let go. Damian cried for the second time in five years, openly and in total remorse. Father would be disappointed. Mother would be disappointed. Pennyworth and Richard would be disappointed.
Damian lost count of how long he spent like this. It could’ve been hours. The tears hardened into shiny beads that piled up on the floor. The pile grew to four inches of height.
The world-ending anguish faded away into a dull ache, a numb sorrow. The faintest motion caught his eye. Damian startled. Blinking the residual tears away, Damian scanned his surroundings, only to find no soul but them.
Another movement. It was Phantom’s hip fins. His translucent skin had showed clearly the fracture bone of the right fin underneath, but Damian could’ve sworn there was one fewer crack than before.
The fin jerked upward. Damian watched in real time as another crack in the bone mended itself before his very eyes. It was mesmerizing.
All around Phantom’s body, the worst of the worst injuries were beginning to heal. By observing from a different angle, Damian could even see wounds sealing underneath the bandages.
However, only a minute passed before the healing slowed down. And then it stalled.
Damian had a solid idea why. Phantom needed energy. They had paused for a brief snack in the morning, and had nothing else the eat up until now. Phantom was starving and accelerated healing was worthless without nutrients to sustain it.
Suddenly, Damian found himself with a new mission. He wiped the last of his tears, sniffed the last of his sniffles, and armed himself. The Anti-Creep Stick and Wrist Ray slotted neatly into his makeshift utility belt, along with a flashlight, and Phantom’s knife. The older siren had vehemently denied Damian a chance at wielding it, deeming the Anti-Creep Stick to be more age-appropriate. Damian would show him now…
However, his new bravado met its match as he paused at the threshold. The closer he got to the outside world, the stronger and stronger that primal fear roared in the deepest part of his brain. Each inch was like sinking through pitch. What would he do if Skulker returned? What would he do if some ancient ocean predator decided to snack on his flesh? Maybe he should just-
No! He could not!
Priming his muscles, Damian shot out of the cave as fast as he could muster, fast enough that he had no time to second-guess his decision. The fear peeked at fever pitch, instinctual warnings build up from eons of siren evolution blaring like the Watchtower in an alien invasion, now ignored. Once he found himself outside the cave, he steeled his resolve, and swam forth into the unknown.
He had to make this up to Phantom, somehow.

Bat Family AU wherein it’s Janet Drake who survives the Obeah Man’s attack instead of Jack.
Tim’s already Robin, she’s in the coma, and all that. However, when she wakes up, things are a little different. She still buys the mansion next door to Wayne Manor, but she’s happy to accept any help Bruce wants to offer in regards to Tim so he can just say “I’m going to Bruce’s” and she’ll just check that he either did his homework or is bringing it with him. She doesn’t expect Tim to help with her treatment or transport and certainly doesn’t expect a fourteen year old to help out at Drake Industries.
She hires a physical therapist to visit the house every day (Dana, so she’s still a part of Tim’s life, if in a slightly smaller role). She still hires Mrs. Mac as their new maid. She also hires a driver, as well as a new COO to help her bring Drake Industries back after it had gone stagnant in her absence.
The twist? The COO is Talia Head (aka Talia al Ghul).
When Janet learns that Talia has two sons -one, barely a few years older than Tim, the other, a few years younger- she suggests they move into the mansion with them while Talia looks for a place (it works out well enough that they end up staying long-term). Talia introduces Bruce and Tim to Damian early (Jason initially hides out in her side of the mansion since he’s not ready to see Bruce yet and Talia is not forcing his hand on that). Damian is still a spoiled brat at first, but since they’re introduced as allies rather than rivals, Tim and Damian end up getting along great once he’s settled down a bit (and with Talia, Janet, and Jason working together to help him).
Talia killed the Joker upon moving to Gotham (no way was that clown getting near any of her boys again) so while Jason’s mad at Bruce, he still feels he has a parent who loved him enough to cross that line. It also helped to counter Shelia’s betrayal a little and balance out his feelings about parents overall, particularly his mother figures. One mother loved him and tried her best but was given a bad hand, another gave him up to the Joker to save herself some trouble, the last severed ties with her father (whose thumb she’d been under for hundreds of years) and risked the ire of the man she loved to protect him.
The younger boys (Tim & Damian) pretty much split their time between Wayne Manor and the Drake Mansion.
Which gives Janet and Talia plenty of time to build up Drake Industries and take over the Court of Owls on the side.
Instead of making/controlling the talons as the previous Court did, they put them to rest and just send Jason or a few of Talia’s trusted assassins (including Pru, who came to Gotham with her) to fill in the role.
Jason learns more about how and why Tim became Robin this time, so while he’s still pissed at Bruce, he doesn’t take any of it out on the Boy Wonder or anyone else. He even helps with Tim’s training (and his English homework). Jason still takes over a good portion of the Gotham drug/arms circuit and gets to do his big dramatic reveal to Bruce/Batman after fucking with him a bit, only it’s as Talon. His new plan is more of a Bat-level EXTRA guilt trip that keeps going on even after he’s started accompanying his little brothers to the Manor. And he’s a little more focused on protecting his little brothers.
Until Jason decided he wanted the do said big dramatic reveal, Bruce had no idea that the Court of Owls was real or that Janet and Talia had taken it over. He knew something had shifted in Gotham, some cases were going too easily and someone was taking out certain threats before they could become an issue. He’d be working under the theory that there was a new vigilante in town.
It had honestly been driving him a little nuts that he couldn’t find them -that’s part of why Jason decided they needed to get everything out in the open, it was stressing out Tim & Dami.
Neither Janet nor Talia will bow to Bruce’s wishes regarding anything, and he won’t bow to theirs, so the three of them end up working together as equals in a way Bruce doesn’t usually do. He ends up actually liking it, as it makes life a lot less stressful when he isn’t assuming full responsibility for everything and everyone around him.
Alfred, Clark, and Diana have each thanked Janet and Talia in their own way. Dick thanked Janet but he still doesn’t like Talia.
When Cass enters the picture, she gets two honorary moms, Babs gets to just be the cool big sister without all the extra stress, Jason, Tim, and Damian are immediately her adorable little brothers who would totally kill for her, and Bruce is a notably less emotionally constipated control freak, so she has a much easier go of everything.
Cass stabbed some asshole in the throat?
Talia: “It’s isn’t as though he died, Beloved. And good job not getting blood all over your new suit, Cassandra, dear.”
Janet: “It was HIS knife, Bruce. She was defending herself. I don’t know about you, but I would certainly prefer that Cassie comes home in one piece over her being more gentle with the criminals you encourage her to confront.”
Jason: “What, you’d rather have ANOTHER dead kid on your conscience, old man? Then maybe stop sending KIDS out to do your dirty work while expecting them to hold back against MURDERERS, PSYCHOPATHS, and TERRORISTS. Good job, Cass.”
Damian: “Tcht, she didn’t even do any permanent damage, Father.”
Tim: “Cass knew what she was doing. Aside from the visceral shock, is it really that different from hitting someone in the head hard enough to knock them unconscious? He’ll probably have less long-term damage than those henchmen you took out Tuesday night.”
Babs: “Oh, did the poor child murderer get hurt? We aren’t all in this to make ourselves feel good, Bruce. Some of us want RESULTS. Good Job, Cass. I brought some of that ice cream you liked. It’s in the freezer upstairs.”
Dick: “So, no one died; a child’s life was saved, plus any future victims if he’d gotten away tonight; two unsolved murders have been solved, so their families at least get some closure; the killer is in the hospital, under the GCPD’s watch, breathing on his own and there was no permanent damage done to his esophagus or vocal chords. What’s the problem, here, B?”
Alfred: “Forgive me, but has anyone explained the rules to Miss Cassandra beyond ‘no killing’? Because if not, then I do believe she was merely following the rule while using her skill to it’s most effectiveness. Why would she have used a series of blows to line him up for a nerve strike or knockout when she could disarm him and incapacitate him with one swift move?”
Bruce: “Alright, alright. You’ve all made your point. Obviously, we need to have a sit-down to discuss methods and motives and come to an agreement. In the meantime, I’m glad you’re alright, Casandra. And good job saving that child’s life tonight. Why don’t you get changed and take your ice cream to one of the dens upstairs to relax?”

I am not a baby!! (yes you are)
(Ao3) (Masterpost) (Previous) (Next)
(Chapter 17 long ass chappy!!)
As expected, his plan worked! Dami managed to scare off the other Leviathan! The shallows were finally safe again! For the time being at least. Danny paced around his base, celebrating this victory with a thawed peeper. He pondered throwing one to Dami, but they still had yet to make any attempt of eating any fish. Plus, the leviathan might see his offering as an opportunity to chow down on him. They were temporary allies through a shared enemy, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t a potential snack.
Maybe he should be more concerned about the existence of a third species of leviathan. After all, the existence of three suggests there might be more. Scratch that there were more and that he was certain of. Dami was a graft of two species and Taser fish wasn’t the parent neither was the giant beta fish-looking guy from lurking near Lifepod three. . According to the scanners on his Lifepod, this was a planet mostly composed of water it’d make sense there’d be more nightmare death creatures swimming around in the depths of the ocean. He could easily avoid them if he tried hard enough. A quantum detonation, however, was a threat he couldn’t run from or throw hands with. At least not effectively that is.
Danny looked down at his message log with a wince. He’d take more nightmare-death fish over the Aurora exploding any day of the week. At least he could fight the leviathans. How was he supposed to fight the genetic meltdown of a peeper blasted with the radioactive energy of a small power plant? It would be like Chernobyl all over again and he wouldn’t have the industrial equipment to clean up the fallout.
The nuclear power generator was one of the blueprints stripped from his PDA by the crash, as were the disposal protocols that came with it. He had no way to fabricate anything but a primitive water filter. It wasn’t even one of the grayed-out blueprints like the battery charger; it just didn’t exist in his PDA. He wouldn’t be surprised if baby mode blocked the recipe out. It let him build a knife but it wouldn’t let him play with a nuclear reactor the PDA Truly was the most responsible piece of technology on this planet.
God speed Alterra…
Danny snickered, swiping through the screens of his PDA looking desperately for something he could do to help. Was there anything he could do? There wasn’t a blueprint for a radiation suit in his PDA but he was a Fenton! They got irradiated for breakfast. He could at least try, to fix things for both him and the survivors.
Taking out his sea glide Danny shot out his sea base like a speeding bullet. Time is limited and it was slipping through his fingers with every moment he wasted anxiously waiting for the perfect opportunity to help. There had to be at least one life pod that landed in near the Aurora someone who was either stuck in their pods or getting blasted by the bad vibes of the Aurora’s drive core.
Dami watched him intently from the edge of the shallows. Clicking teeth and a worried croon from the leviathan as Danny crept closer to where the crash site should be. He only swam a few feet before Dami bolted from his spot in the sand hands attempting to nudge him back to the shallows.
With puffed-up cheeks, Danny nipped at the other darting around the leviathan's tail to further his journey. He couldn’t go back to the shallows. He wouldn’t sit there uselessly until things literally blew up in his face. Dami didn’t know how dangerous things could get. He didn’t know the catastrophic consequences this could have on his home.
The waters were murky sand yet to settle and debris scattered across the sand. Any plant life the biome had previously cultivated was crushed, uprooted, and torn apart by the impact. The wrecks in the crash site made the shallows look clean. Metal torn apart like playdough were scattered throughout clouded waters. Not a single place was clear of debris, a burning sensation in his palms the longer he swam.
A stabbing pain like a jackhammer to the skull hit him like a truck. Nausea broiled in his stomach, bile rising up his throat. Danny didn’t stop swimming not when the edges of his vision began to blur not when Dami desperately tried to push him back. Snapping teeth and swiping through the water in an attempt to intimidate him into turning back. Danny didn’t care, he… he had to do something, he had to try.
His PDA screamed, a glitching image that looked concerningly similar to what you’d find on one of the barrels in his parents' lab flashed on screen. It sounded painful, the tablet flashing like a strobe light and a shrieking noise filling his ears. Any words jumbled, thousands of audio cues playing over each other and meshing into of mess of trailed-off screams cut off when the screen went blank.
Fuck.
Shit… That wasn’t a good sign, was it? His pounding head made it hard to truly wrap his head around what just happened. If death would be permanent this time would anyone even know what happened to him? Every distress call he’d responded to every destroyed life pod he found… All of them were gone, reduced to nothing, only a splotch of red if they were lucky. If his PDA was broken how would his family know what happened to him?
Dami screeched, a noise so high-pitched it made his ears ring. The leviathan wrapped his entire body around Danny, his claw barring him from escaping. Panic swirled through his mind before a lower, spine-tingling roar broke through the sea. Peaking through the gaps in Dami’s claws, Danny’s heart jumped into his throat.
A leviathan with a sickly gray body circled them. Pitch black eyes that held something primal. There wasn’t the gleam of intelligence in its behavior, just gnashing teeth and snapping mandibles. Decorated with red, muscle so defined you’d think that was all that made up the creature’s body.
Maybe it was the headache amplifying the noise but the guttural sounds the creature constantly let out were like a nuclear bomb. His eyes stung all he could do was watch as Dami snapped his tail like a whip, slashing at their attacker. Yellow blood spilled into the water and Danny couldn’t tell if it was Dami’s.
Saying their attacker was aggressive would be an understatement. Nothing seemed to deter the creature. Dami’s strikes only seemed to piss it off further. Every impact from Dami’s tail pulled a furious shriek from the predator. It circled them like a shark, it didn’t care that Dami was much larger it just wanted to eat.
Pointing his scanner through the gaps in Dami’s claws seconds felt like hours as the tool worked its magic. On swing from this worm on steroids and he was triple dead! The thing could swallow him whole with no room left for seconds!
At least it would be a cool death. “Danny Fenton, cause of death; Radiation poisoning and fish bites,” He’d be proud to have that written in his obituary. If anyone survived to collect and fix his PDA it’d be one hell of a conversation starter.
His skin burned like he’d pressed himself against the surface of the sun. His dive suit felt like molten lava and his air tank felt like it was filled with smoke. Dami thrashed slapping the steroid fish into the sand.
They couldn’t keep going. If both he and his PDA were being affected by the radiation then so was Dami. Their attacker wouldn’t hesitate to finish them off if the radiation didn’t melt their internal organs into a shapeless goop. They needed a route to the Aurora that wasn’t surrounded by a toxic death field. But when the death field originated from the Aurora there wasn’t much he could do. There was no safe path to the Aurora so long as he was without a radiation suit.
Danny slapped his palms against Dami’s almost transparent skin. His oxygen running thin, he tugged the leviathan’s fins until the other turned to him. Hopefully, as another sentient creature, he could understand the plea of “Let’s get the fuck out of here before we both die a slow excruciating death,”
Thankfully, he understood. As Dami snapped his tail at the creature one last time grabbing Danny by his oxygen tank and boosting away from the crash zone. The two of them cut through the water easily gliding faster than his seaglide could at its base.
Dami wasn’t as muscular as their attacker but he made up for it in size, speed, and intelligence. If they’d stayed to finish the fight Dami was the obvious choice to bet on. He would’ve won if he hadn’t been focused on guarding Danny from being eaten.
When they finally reached the shallows Danny could’ve kissed the sand. He’d never been so relieved to be in the kiddy pool of this planet's ocean. He felt like crying, he’d never abandon his beloved biome of coral tubes again!
Thwack!
A Peeper charged into him, hitting him in the cheek full force. Was this revenge for the fridge? Dami let out what he could only assume was the fish equivalent of a laugh, gently batting the little blue fish away. Danny didn’t have the energy to smack the leviathan for this offense nor did he have the strength to chase the Peeper who attacked him. Sleep never seemed so sweet before but he knew if he slept now he might not wake up to see the light of day again.
Danny watched the faint yellow sparkles trailing behind the fish as it rubbed itself against plants and rocks. More social than the normal peepers swimming around. If you could count tackling everything in sight as a social behavior. Danny scrunched his nose at the offensive fish rubbing the glitter-like substance off his face. If this was how Peepers tried to make friends he’d have to say it’s ineffective.
Danny turned back to the leviathan, yellow blood oozing from long thin scratches running along his tail. He frowned, that was his fault, wasn’t it? Dami had tried to stop him, likely knowing what lurked near the crash and Danny blatantly ignored him. He’d been naive, thinking he knew better than the literal native who’d likely lived on this planet his entire life. A stupid thing to do even with the risk of an explosion. Especially with the risk of an explosion, a deeper part of his psyche nagged, pulling the bile halfway up his throat.
What if someone had been with him? Someone had been with him! Dami wasn’t indestructible. What if that thing managed to kill them both? What if he’d gotten Dami killed just by leading them in there? Radiation poisoning was an all but painless death. Vomiting your internal organs in their liquidized form wasn’t a fate he wished on anyone let alone an ally.
The visible injuries on the leviathan seemed to be minor. If the nonchalant way the leviathan lifted Danny to the surface with a clawed hand told him anything. It was good to know they had a mutual understanding that air was a necessity for him. Accidentally being drowned by an ally wasn’t on his list of ideal deaths. Maybe if this were a horror movie he’d be more welcoming to the idea so he could haunt people more than he usually did.
Danny tapped Dami’s forehead alerting the leviathan to his next movements into the kelp forests. Dami stayed where he was in the shallows, keeping a keen eye on Danny from afar. He swallowed the bile rising up his throat keeping up his routine of bribing the stalkers. They were like gator-shaped trolls. Demanding a toll of fish snacks before they’d ensure a safe passage through the shallows. Some of the bolder ones approached him with open mouths. He didn’t even have to chuck it at them!
“Warning, leviathan class creature in the area,” He yanked out his PDA brushing his fingers against the screen. The tablet's light was dim but it was working. He could swipe through the tabs and see what the fuck the AI was talking about. It’s a little late for a warning about the leviathan at the crash site.
Danny swiped through the tabs of his PDA landing on the new data entry he’d risked his ass for. Apparently, the empty-eyed fuck they’d been assaulted by was a reaper leviathan. All muscle, tiny brain, and no sense of morality. Danny didn’t know what kind of morals his PDA expected from a fish like that. Lancer always told him not to judge a book by its cover but holy fuck, if Vlad stood next to one of those guys he might actually look decent.
The warning popped up again and Danny’s anxiety spiked. Did a reaper follow them? Was it the Leviathan he’d seen back at life pod three? If it was the stalkers might get to him before he could get close enough to strike him.  He pulled out his blade glancing around the kelp forest. His eyes landed on a glimpse of blue poking out from behind an arch of stone.
It was talking about Dami, wasn’t it?
Dami was following him, hiding it quite poorly. It was honestly, embarrassing he hadn’t noticed it sooner. The leviathan was out of his depth, any camouflage the other could have possibly had was squandered by his size. It was probably his size that intimidated everything into not acknowledging him.
Danny ignored the leviathan, mostly to spare the other’s ego. Danny was like a needle in a haystack while Dami was like an elephant in the chicken coop and if this were a game of hide and seek Danny would’ve demolished him by now.
Using his blade to cut off pieces of creep vine Danny pressed the kelp together, stashing as much as possible into his bag. The fiber mesh he’d make from this would make decent bandages if he couldn’t make the blankets he wanted.
Would bandages even work on Dami? Tying gauze around the leviathan's tail just seemed restrictive. The language barrier would ensure Dami wouldn’t understand he was trying to help. Dami would just see it as Danny mistakeingly assuming he could finish the Leviathan off after a risky encounter with a reaper. He winced, getting slapped to death by an ally would be such a lame way to die.
There had to be some other way to ensure Dami didn’t die of sepsis or whatever other infections a giant fish teenager could contract. Who was equipped to deal with this kind of thing? A vet or a marine biologist because Danny lacked the qualifications for both professions. He was two for two when it came to dying, any medical advice he could give was just a health hazard.
Danny swam back to the shallows, Dami clumsily following him. He wasn’t bleeding anymore and Danny could vaguely make out yellow scabs clotting over his injuries. Only time would tell if that was a good sign or not. If there was anything wrong with Dami he’d find a way to fix it. It was his moral obligation to do so.
Dami protected them from a reaper and the oversized eel! While he’s pretty sure Dami knew electric fish, he still slapped him into pissing off! Making sure the leviathan didn’t die was the least he could do even if he was friends with the electric fish secretly.
The “fight” was far too similar to the ones he’d have Dani or Jazz. Less a fight to the death and more like one of the lectures he’d get from Jazz for doing something stupid. Not antagonistic like the fights he’d have with Vlad. It was more like when Dani would hide his model rockets in the walls when he pissed her off. Dami and the electric fish acted painfully similar to how he acted with his siblings.
Would he ever see them again?
Shaking his head, a croon rippled through shallow water. Dami stared at him with glowing eyes, an expression as concerned as a gigantic fish could get. He crooned again, louder this time. A call probably evolved to be heard in deeper open waters. It wasn’t as effective in the shallows, he could hear Dami anywhere in the shallows no matter how quiet the other tried to be. All this call served to do now was to add fuel to the fire of his splitting headache.
Danny held his head in his hands, Dami taking this as a cue to be a bit quieter. The next croon he let out was softer barely audible but he got his point across. This guy was weird. He fussed over Danny more than he fussed over himself to the point he cramped himself in the shallows to stay here with him. He belonged deeper down, ancients he’d be happier deeper down but he just…stayed here? Sure he tended to follow Danny whenever he had the opportunity but Danny had mostly stuck to the shallows so far. Was this the fish equivalent to tourism? Had the crash screwed over his home so badly he couldn’t live there anymore.
Danny glanced back to Dami, the leviathan looked perfectly fine but he didn’t exactly have another member of his species to compare to. It was like he was perfectly comfortable acting as Danny’s personal guard dog.
….
He was like a dog to this guy, wasn’t he?
Looking down at his tiny hand Danny squeezed them into fists. Pathetic, hardly a threat at all. Dami’s a teenager and Danny is a itty bitty squishy thing smaller than any of the other survivors. He was like a stray puppy to this guy! Like a little Yorkie happy and cute.
He scoffed choking on the mouthful of seawater that flooded into his mouth at the action. He wasn’t anyone’s pet! He was the farthest thing from a pet! Sure, he might’ve watched Dami fight like it was a Pokémon battle but he still thought of the guy as a sentient being. It all made sense now, this dude thought he was an animal! There was no way to correct him either! They didn’t speak the same language nor was there a way for them to learn at the moment.
How would he even go about speaking to him anyway? What was he supposed to say? “Hey, dude sorry for catfishing you but I’m not your pet,” He’d probably be dismissed and then be treated like a parrot.
Ancients, he’s too nauseous to deal with this shit. Dealing with anything else but this would be better than this. He was stuck with a teenager who was convinced he got a new puppy… No wonder he tapped on the window like a small child seeing the fish tank at the dentist for the first time.
At least he wasn’t the type of teenager to “Play” rough with his pets. Back home Sam went ape shit on a group of senior boys who kept shooting BBs at one of the oldest boy’s cats. Danny had yet to be manhandled, thrown, or shot at, nor was there any attempt to put him down after he bit him multiple times.
Maybe he was more like a cat?
He wouldn’t degrade himself into being anyone’s catboy. The thought alone made him want to cry. Tucker would never let him hear the end of it if he found out. The hacker would have all the ammo he needed to take revenge for being called a furry so often. He couldn’t let this happen! There’s no way he’d allow himself to be treated like a pet. If Dami ever tried to pet him he’d get stabbed! Puffing up his chest, Danny turned foot and swam back to his base.
His to-do list was completely and utterly fucked over. Fixing the Aurora had been his top priority but he couldn’t fix it without a radiation suit and a distraction for the buff death fish! It was just like back home, the moment he sat down to knock something off his ever-expanding to-do list the entire universe ganged up on him!
{Proposed Desagi seabase (200m)}
The signal caught his attention. It was on one of the main tabs of his PDA along with the signals for the Lifepod he’s aware of. On the front page of his to-do list, as a sub-task of finding survivors was searching for the Desagi sea base. Scrunching his face Danny pondered. If the seabase even existed there could be something down there to help him. Even if he didn’t find a survivor, the information he could gain from this could be crucial to figuring out what the hell is going on with this planet.
With the date of Paul Torgal’s environmental log, he could tell the Desagi had been on this planet within the first month of communications with the ship had been lost. Had they ever left? Did they crash or land here willingly for some unknown reason? Was what happened to the Aurora connected to the Desagi? Hopefully, he’d get his answers when he went down to explore.
Staring blankly at the signal, he studied the coordinates and the environmental log thoroughly. The cave he’d entered previously had multiple entrances. It was only logical if members of the Desagi were to build a seabase they’d build it close to an entrance. It was further into the cave system than the entrance he’d swam through had led him.
He could search around for another cave entrance closer to the signal but it was still 200m down. His lower oxygen needs gave him a leg up but it could only carry him so far. His ability kept him from drowning in shallow water but anything deeper than 100m and it was game over, no restarts or save points!
With his current oxygen tank, he wouldn’t have the time to find the seabase let alone explore it. When the entire point of finding the seabase was exploring, it made his air tank seem about as useful as a warning label on a stick of dynamite. Any idiot with common sense could tell going down there without some kind of plan for oxygen was a sheer way to drown. While his common sense was sparse he still had it.
The blueprints for a seamoth were still missing so he’d have to go on a scavenger hunt for not only the blueprint but the resources to build it. Danny could only wonder how the Seamoth would be altered for him. The seaglide was made slightly smaller but what was it supposed to do about what was essentially just an underwater car? Pedal extensions, A controller, maybe just an autopilot? That was all he was willing to work with, a booster seat was too humiliating for his bruised ego to take.
Along with a seamoth he’d need to upgrade his tank and replace the batteries for his seaglid. The seaglide drained power like spectra drained the happiness from children.
Digging through his storage lockers he scavenged the glass he needed for his new air tank. He fed the fabricator the ingredients waiting eagerly as the light show began. A loud jarring noise sounded from his PDA the moment the new air tank touched his hands.
“New blueprint acquired.” The robotic voice drawled.
Danny glanced down at the tablet, staring slack-jawed at the appearance of the rebreather on his list of blueprints. Convenient, he didn’t dare question the PDA’s choice of only giving him the blueprint now instead of after all the other times he almost died. It was painfully easy to gather the materials he needed. With the creepvine he’d collected earlier he was set to make the rebreather.
Now all he had to do was get past Dami…
Why did he have a feeling that was going to be easier said than done?

Never Grow Up
6. “Sneakin’ out late, tapping on your window.”
14. “I won’t let nobody hurt you.”
Tumblr media
A gentle rhythmic-like tapping on your window made your head turn up in confusion. It was well into the early hours of the night, but even then, you didn’t know of anyone that would try to reach you by going to your window.
Carefully, you gracefully slipped out of your bed and peered up at your window, limbs relaxing automatically when you saw Damian crouched on the fire escape.
You slid your window open, eyebrows furrowing in confusion as you looked upon your long-time best friend, “Damian?” You asked in a soft voice in hope of not waking your family in the next room, “What’re you doing here?”
The boy slid into your room with ease, standing before you with his arms crossed over his chest. You knew him long enough to be able to tell by his stance alone that he was worried and on edge.
“I have come to check on you.” He stated matter-of- factly, “You had a large wound in the side of your arm the last time I saw you, and you left before I had the chance to question you about it.”
His eyes narrowed in an accusative manner, and you couldn’t help the small pool of guilt that found its way into the pit of your stomach.
You, along with Damian and his family, were Gothams very own vigilantes, going out every night in order to keep the city safe. The two of you worked together almost constantly, and having each others back the way you did, it was rare for one of you to get injured to the extreme that you had that night.
Flinching a little bit at his hard look you knew was meant to mask anxiety about the situation, you crossed your arms over your stomach, taking special care not to move your injured one the wrong way.
“I didn’t want you to worry,” You told him honestly, “And I had it under control.” The second part might have been a little less than honest.
“Tsk.” He scoffed, rolling his eyes slightly, “It did not appear that way to me.”
A sign left your nose, “I stitched myself up just fine, Dami,” You informed him, “There was nothing to worry about.”
In full truth, you were honestly embarrassed about the whole thing. You and your best friend always fought side by side- within each others eye sights at least- so that you could be close by if things went south. This night though, you had accidentally wandered off and been taken by surprise, attacked from behind in a way that was near impossible to fight off, leaving you with a gash in your arm.
“I didn’t know where you were.” There it was, the first crack in his mask, a small ripple in his cold facade, “All of a sudden I couldn’t see you, but I managed to catch a brief glimpse at you, covered in blood before you ran away.”
You softened. Had the roles been reversed, you not only would have been beyond scared and upset about the whole ordeal, but you also would have been guilty and angry. Guilty that you couldn’t stop it and angry at those who did it. And you knew Damian well enough to know that he was feeling all of the above.
“I’m sorry I left.” You told him softly, “I really didn’t mean to.”
Damian’s eyes raked over you, studying you for a moment, “We need to take extra care to stay together.” He finally said, “That way, I can make sure that no further harm comes to you.”
You smiled softly, “I’d have it no other way.”

bang it on me, shatter (fem! reader, vampire au)
a/n: happy yooh day! this is a 2yoo fic but shush it's fine :) this one's especially for my girls and gays - y'know who you are <3 fun fact: I rewrote this fic three times, which means I have plenty of material if people are interested in a sequel.
tw: fem!reader (gay vampires rule!!!), vampires, blood, alcohol, drunk!reader, like one suggestive comment, reader has a hangover, implied death and gore. (can you tell I watched wwdits before I wrote this)
summary: gay vampires, that's the plot. you have your share of dirty little secrets, the biggest being that your two lovers are murderous vampires. luckily for them, you don't give a shit!
♡ Masterlist ♡
Tumblr media
Quiet. Calm. Serene. Peaceful.
You preferred your nights to be all of those things. Although living with vampires could get chaotic, most nights were spent cuddled between your two lovers. Yoohyeon would wrap an arm around your waist while attempting to organize matters for the next few days. Dami, on the other hand, would place a hand on your thigh while reading a book or going through some records.
Tonight, however, would not be one of those nights.
You couldn’t even make it into the library before Dami’s familiar, Kazuha, storms into your room.
“Ma’am, your presence is requested in the front foyer. We have guests.” She plays with her hair for a moment before you rise from your armchair.
“Guests or guests?” You softly ask before brushing past Kazuha to grab an outfit for the night.
“…guests.”
You pause before grabbing your second most formal outfit.
I’m less attached to this one if blood gets on it.
“Tell Ms. Lee and Ms. Kim I’ll be down after I get dressed.” You wave off Kazuha, who bows before leaving.
“Make sure to have formal wear arranged for you and the rest of the staff. It’s going to be a special night.”
~
You lightly play with your hair as you quickly descend the stairs. It’s been a while since you’ve had guests - the girls usually went out and hunted when they were hungry. You could guess that they’d either gotten lazy or lucky with their food.
Given the surprise of the five women in front of you when you came to greet them, you went with luck.
“Good evening, ladies,” You pause before bowing, “what brings you to our humble estate?”
One of the ladies, a taller girl with black hair, answers.
“We needed shelter for the night. A bad storm rolled through and left us stranded.”
Definitely lucky.
“I welcome weary travelers. I can lead you to some spare bedrooms so you can change before dinner.” You calmly say before turning on your heel and heading to your left.
You hear five sets of feet follow behind as you point out some of the rooms.
“If you need anything before you get called for dinner, there are servants floating around to help.” You direct a few nearby servants to usher the girls into their rooms.
The servants are well-trained as sneaky hands find papers and treasures before five doors slam in harmony.
You quickly collect the important documents and grab a few jewels for the familiars before you head to the study.
~
“Kazuha, Yunjin,” You call out to the two women in front of the study, “take these and put them on your outfits tonight.”
“We can’t-“ Kazuha says before Yunjin snatches half of the jewels for herself.
“Speak for yourself, Zuha, and thank you.” Yunjin stuffs the jewels in her pocket, “they’re waiting inside for you.”
“Thank you.” Kazuha mumbles before gently grabbing her half of the treasure from you.
They both step aside as the doors in front of you open to reveal the study with the two occupants you were expecting.
Yoohyeon smiles as she spots you first.
“Did you find anything important, my dear?” She asks before you hand her two sets of papers.
“Only the best for my favorite people.” You press a soft kiss to her face before she pulls you in for a quick kiss on the lips.
“A seamstress and a musician… it seems we do have a crew of merry fellows.” Yoohyeon says as she skims the paper.
“No hunters?” Dami asks before you sit next to her and hand her one of the papers.
“One, but she doesn’t have any notable achievements or accolades. Could be a front since the other two don’t have any listed occupations or skills.” You toss the papers aside before grabbing Dami’s arm.
“Anything interesting?”
“Same story as the rest - family history in vampiric hunting, traveling with weapons, but you’re right, darling, everything else is spotless.” Dami grabs her book with one hand before setting aside the other paper.
You tidy up the desk in front of you before Dami grabs your hand.
“You look nice,” She quickly eyes you before going back to your book, “but hopefully you won’t mind that outfit getting a bit messy.”
~
The servants are in a flurry to finish the final preparations for dinner - dinner for one human and two vampires was easy enough, but six humans and two vampires? That’d be enough to drive any chef mad, especially on a couple hours’ notice.
You had to keep up appearances, for now, so eight meals would have to do.
That way, everyone had leftovers for a few days.
You take a seat on the small, simple chair that sits in-between the two grandest chairs that always were in the dining room as five more sit on the other side of the long table. A beautiful, silky red tablecloth sits on the grand table as dishes appear on the table as servants rush to and from the kitchen.
After the feast is set out, everyone scampers away except for Kazuha and Yunjin. Yunjin is holding a bottle of red wine, dressed in her finest, as Kazuha holds a bottle of “red wine” in a beautiful black dress with the new addition of a shiny golden necklace. Both girls sit on the short end of the table, far away from the door on the other side.
The first people through the grand mahogany doors are the guests, all five of them at once. You’re able to profile each of the girls - their travel documents were enough to go off of. JiU, the taller, black-hair seamstress, takes a seat at the leftmost section of the table. Next to her was SuA - one of the two girls who didn’t have any occupational description, but her light-brown hair sits gently on her shoulders in radiant curls. The girl in the middle - Handong, the hunter - sits confidently in the middle. Her eyes challenge yours as you, as innocently as possible, toss the paperwork towards her.
“They fell out of your coats when you were rushed into your rooms,” is the bare bones excuse you give.
“It’s alright.” The red-haired girl, Siyeon, offers you a smooth smile before grabbing the papers and redistributing them. The Songbird, the girl whose voice could calm anyone from a mile away.
The last girl is completely silent, but the pink-hair shines bright in the dark, moody room. Gahyeon, the second girl with so little information with her name, doesn’t sit until SuA sends her a pointed glare. Gahyeon immediately falls into her chair with a sharp thud.
Their eyes follow you up and down, like an animal hunting their prey. They’re trained killers, but not better killers than the two women you live with. These five girls have killed with knives or guns or poison, but they haven’t ripped apart another human with their bare hands. Safe to say, it would be a bloody, violent night.
~
Dinner was quiet and much less brutal than you were expecting. The five girls had a brilliant spread in front of them, enough to momentarily distract them from their goal. A meal is a way to anyone’s heart, but it also pushes their mind into a state of comfort.
Enough for them to not notice the extra liquid that was mixed with the wine. Not anything that would kill them, but enough to disarm them for a while.
You had plenty of wine - the less you remembered about tonight, the better. You weren’t black-out drink, but there was a noticeable flush on your face.
“Dear, I think it’s best if you rest for a while, hm?” Yoohyeon’s gentle hand on your right shoulder makes you look into her eyes.
“Wine’s good.” You mumble into your glass that Dami snatches from your hand. “You’re don't know how to have fun.”
“We can have fun later-“ Yoohyeon teases as you giggle.
“Yoohyeon, you flirt~” You try to smack her shoulder, but you miss it completely.
“We’ll talk in the morning, love, you need rest.” Dami sets your glass aside before helping you out of the chair. “You don’t need to remember what’s about to happen, but just in case, you should be far away. Yunjin, Kazuha!”
“Miss Lee,” Kazuha answers as she and Yunjin approach, “How can we help?”
“Take her upstairs, but not to the bedroom. You should be able to get her to the farther rooms in the east wing... preferably the one that’s the least dusty, if possible.”
“Got it.” Yunjin says as she places one of your arms on her shoulder.
Kazuha does the same with your other arm, and with one drunken foot in front of the other, you make your way to the east wing in order to rest.
~
The next time you regain consciousness, it’s completely dark outside. You’re sober, but the killer headache tells you that you had a bit too much fun last night. Luckily, a gentle hand combs through your hair as someone else places a glass of water and some acetaminophen next to your night stand.
“How do you feel?” Dami calmly asks as Yoohyeon cuddles into your side.
“ ‘m tired.” You mumble into your pillow - perhaps suffocating yourself would be more pleasurable than this headache?
Dami pulls the pillow back a few centimeters for your comfort (and safety, but she doesn’t know that).
Yoohyeon lightly grabs your sides before trying to erase the nonexistent space between you two.
“Yes, Yooh?”
“I love you~” She sings into your ear as you roll around and look her in the eyes.
“Is the kitchen a mess?” You deadpan as she nervously laughs.
“Would you be mad if I said yes?” Yoohyeon gives you a guilty smile before looking at Dami for help.
“We’re cleaning it up because we gave the servants a few days off. They put in a lot of last minute work that they deserve to be respected and paid for.” Dami explains as you lightly hit Yoohyeon’s shoulder.
“Ow.” She grumbles as you flick her shoulder again. “Can’t believe I let you disrespect me.”
“Move over, I want Dami to sit next to me.” You ask with as much sweetness you can muster as Yoohyeon reluctantly scoots over.
You move as well, but not before taking the medicine and a healthy sip of water.
You lightly pat the blanket as Dami takes a seat next to you. She gently grabs your hand while continuing to comb through your hair with the other.
Somehow, you managed to find your slice of heaven among beasts, the worst of the worst, but you wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
Not when they’d live and die for you and for your honor.

Honey, biker!Jason checks out reader while hanging out with Roy and the batboys (Dick, Tim, Duke) across the street as reader doing thrift with friends, not noticing him at all until someone points out and reader get flustered, finally notice Jason as he smirks, with Roy and rest of the batboys openly tease him and Dick calls the girls (Barbara, Steph, Cass) to look up for reader with "Yo, Jason's hooked up." "Don't tell Dami yet." texting them in the fam's 'Jason' group chat? Feels like it's what Dick would do as he's their big bro, and that he genuinely cares for Jason.
a/n: i love this idea so much lol pt ii
It was a really warm summer day when you and your friends decided to go out thrifting together, walking from one shop to the other and leaving with bags upon bags of clothes you’d probably regret purchasing later. The humidity causing the thin fabric of your dress to stick to your skin.
You were coming out of a coffee house after getting yourselves some cold beverages, when your friend pinched your side to catch your attention.
“Someone is grabbing attention today.” she teased, as you took some time to comprehend until she pointed to the group of guys hanging out on the other side of the street.
Resting against a red sports motorcycle was a tall dark haired guy, clad in a muscle tee and jeans, that couldn’t stop staring at you even when his friends made sure to speak and laugh as loud as they could around him. You couldn’t help the blush from creeping up your cheeks as his eyes met yours, throwing you a wink and a smirk before finally being noticed by his friends.
From afar, you couldn’t really understand what they were saying, but by the way he shook his head when they ruffled his hair and laughed looking in your direction, you could guess they were certainly making fun of the situation.
“Falling in love with the view, buddy?” Roy said, ruffling Jason’s hair, who pushed his arm away from him, mumbling a ‘shut up’ back to his best friend.
“I’ll give you that, Jay” his brother, Dick, started. “You have good taste.”
A series of jokes followed as Jason returned his eye to the other side of the street, searching for you and finding you and your friends still in the same place, a rosy tint visible in your face even from a distance.
He seriously wanted to punch those guys for making you feel uncomfortable, and he wanted even more to drive his bike towards you and get away from this situation, but he was too embarrassed by his friends to do that. He watched you walk away, a tinge of sadness filling his chest to see you go.
“He’s been staring for ten minutes. He’s gone, guys.” Tim joined in, while Dick picked up his phone to snatch a picture of you and send on a newly formed group chat conveniently named ‘Jason’s love life S.O.S’
dick: find this girl, we’re reporting her to the police. she just stole baby jay’s heart :(
steph: ooh noo. anyways, who wants to watch the new barbie movie on sunday.
roy: don’t be mean to him. guy just missed the love of his life.
tim: DON’T TELL DAMI YET BUT I’M HEARING WEDDING BELLS.
barb: y/n s/n, she’s a student at gotham university. i have her id and cell phone number, and personal address if you’re not going to be weird about it.
tim: THE BELLS ARE GETTING LOUDER!!
dick: I’M THE BEST MAN!!
jason: i’m not inviting any of you to wedding, for starters
barb: you’re assuming there’s going to be a wedding in the future…
jason: if you massage me the address the assumption will be closer to reality

Bruce Wayne x Bat!Mom
Title: A snowman, a nosebleed, and the Wayne’s

------
Christmas Eve and Christmas day were your two favorite days out of the year. Two whole days with your boys; no Batman, no fighting criminals, just two days doing fun holiday things with the boys.
It was snowing and the ground was already covered, and it was deep. You decided to make the boys put on coats, beanies, gloves, and their boots, so you all could enjoy the snow day.
Before the six of you could make it out the front door, Jason and Damian were already shoving each other. “Boys stop it.” you scolded them, and they had surprisingly stopped.
“Are we going to have a snowball fight?” Dick asked and Tim followed his question with, “I think that would be fun. Is that what we are doing?”
You shook your head, “No. Last year we did that, it was a disaster. Jason ended up with a bloody nose, Damian got lost in a snow drift, and Dick slipped on a patch of ice, and we had to take a trip to the ER. Tim was the only one who didn’t end up hurt or lost.” you said, and Bruce laughed.
“I forgot, we almost had to get a search party for Damian.” Bruce said, and Damian huffed. “I did NOT get lost. I just--- couldn’t get out of the snow drift.” he said, and Jason laughed at his brother.
Damian rolled his eyes, “What are we going to do, mother?” he asked, and you picked up a basket that had a carrot, a hat, and a scarf. “We are going to make a snowman.” you said, and the boys started laughing.
“Mom, we fight criminals at night. And you want us to make a snowman?” Jason questioned, and Bruce folded his arms. “Jason, we are going to make a snowman, and we are going to do it together as a family.” Bruce said, as he pulled you to his chest. “It’s the least we could do. Your mom hardly gets to spend time with us, let alone a full day. It’s only right that we do this one thing together.”
“Thank you, honey. Now, let’s get busy.” You said, as you started out with a small ball, and the boys joined in.
------------
After what seemed like three hours, a big snowman was in the front lawn. Bruce picked up the top hat from the basket and put it on Damian’s head. You smiled, “Awwww come here, Dami!” you exclaimed with opened arms. He walked up to you, and you embraced him in a big hug. “You’re my favorite little snowMAN!”
“Don’t call me little, Mother...” he said as his cheeks turned red.
“Oh come on, you are so cu-”
“Don’t call me that either. You are going to ruin my reputation.” he muttered, and Jason snickered. Dick had already put the scarf, the rock eyes and buttons, onto the snowman. Then Tim put the carrot nose on the snowman, and he smiled, “There, all done!”
Damian glared at the snowman, “Wait a minute-” he said as he approached the snowman. “That’s my scarf! Mother, why would you use my scarf and put it on this dirty, pile of snow?” he asked, gesturing at the pile of snow.
“Well, you never wear it. Great Grandma Mary made it for you, and I recall you saying: It’s itchy, and it smells like mothballs.” you say, and Bruce shook his head.
“For your information, mother, I would like it to be taken off.” he said as he folded his arms.
Jason took it upon himself to remove the scarf from the snowman and wrapped it around Damian’s neck. “WHY’D YOU PUT THE SCARF STRAIGHT FROM THE SNOWMAN ONTO ME?! THAT’S COLD!” Damian screeched.
Jason, Dick, and Tim started to laugh at Damian’s dramatics. “You said to take it off the snowman because it’s yours. So, I figured you wanted it.” Jason said with an eyebrow raised.
Damian ripped the scarf from his neck and threw it at Jason’s face, “You could have let it warm up at the very least!!!” Jason grabbed the scarf and threw it back at Damian, and then all hell broke loose.
It all happened in a flash, Damian lunged at Jason, and he had the scarf in one hand, and a snowball in the other. Damian somehow placed the ball of snow on Jason’s neck and wrapped the scarf around him.
“Let go, Demon Spawn!” Jason shouted, and Damian grabbed another snowball and threw it at Jason’s face. Blood stained the snow, and Bruce had to pick Damian off of Jason. “Can’t you two go one day without bickering?” Bruce questioned, and the two boys stared at each other. You helped Jason up off of the ground, and pinched his nose, “C’mon, let’s go get a tissue.”
----
When everyone had gotten inside, the fireplace was on, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas was playing. Everything was just right, a hot pizza was sitting on the coffee table, and for once, the boys were sitting on the couches quietly.
Bruce took you to the kitchen and fixed you a glass of red wine. “I’m sorry if the boys put a damper on your ‘quality time’ together.” he said, as he rubbed your lower back.
“They didn’t ruin it. It’s not a Wayne family holiday or activity unless one of the boys get into a fight.” you say as you took a sip of your wine. “Well, I should say, it isn’t a Wayne holiday or activity without Jason and Damian getting into a fight.” you say, and Bruce laughed.
“Damian, he is like angry toddler. A very intelligent and feisty toddler.” Bruce said as he pinched the bridge of his nose. “And Jason--well--Jason too, acts like a toddler. But it amazes me how much his nose bleeds.”
You chuckled and the two of you went back to the living room where the boys were sound asleep. All was right in the world, and even though building a snowman turned into an act of violence, you were happy you, your husband, and boys were together.
------
This was short and I hope you enjoyed it. Merry Christmas Eve, everyone!

Too Much Fluff
ficlet • regressor! Damian Wayne, caregiver! Alfred Pennyworth, caregiver! Bruce Wayne
Been thinking about baby dami so much lately... here's a lil fic of him!! Pleeease get free to send in more ideas!
Tumblr media
Damian stared at the ridiculous plush beast in front of him. It was a teddy bear that was practically the size of him. What a frivolous toy, Damian thought, who on earth would want such a thing?
“What a darling bear. Do you want that, Master Damian?”
Damian whipped his head around, flustered. Alfred stood patiently, with his bags of toys for the charity drive in hand.
“Of course not. What would give you that idea?”
“Well, you have been staring at it for ten minutes.”
Damian felt blood rush to his cheeks. He looked at the ground. Alfred continued despite his closed in posture,
“Well, I think it would make some child very happy. Would you mind carrying it to the register for me?”
“If I must,” Damian huffed.
Damian picked up the fluffy monstrosity and tried his best to carry it while maintaining his dignity. A difficult task, even Alfred couldn’t look dignified holding a three foot tall teddy bear. Walking with it was a nightmare, having to squeeze it close to his chest to navigate through the isles of toys without knocking anything over. Holding the bear was… not an unpleasant experience. It was very soft. Not just it’s fur, but it’s stuffing. Damian supposed it would make a good pillow. Especially if one was inclined to grab onto things while they slept, like he was. Standing in line now, he examined the bear. He had to admit, it was a little charming. It had a slightly lopsided face, and a big red bow, giving it a somewhat dopey look. Damian felt a warm hand on his back.
“It’s time to scan the bear, dear.”
Oh, he hated to admit it but he didn’t really want to part with it. Don’t be ridiculous, he chided to himself. He was an assassin, a vigilante, not a dumb baby. They could throw the bear away for all he cared. He could use it as target practice. Before he knew it, the bear was handed back to him.
“It won’t fit in a bag, of course. Could you hold it?”
Damian nodded, once again hoisting up the bear. Once they got to the car, there was no room in the trunk for it, so it had to ride in the backseat with Damian. He felt silly with it riding next to him like a passenger, so he laid it across his lap. He found himself Idly petting its fur, playing with its bow. Such a silly thing… Damian yawned. He repositioned the bear to sit in his lap and laid his head on top of it. He watched the skyscrapers slowly pitter away as the city melted into suburbia on their way back to the manor. The sunset was quite nice over the hills, perhaps he should paint it. His thoughts got fuzzier and fuzzier as he melted into the bear, drifting off to sleep.
The next thing Damian knew, he was in his bed. He supposed his father had carried him there, despite his repeated insistence that he was too big to be carried. A small part of him was sad he was asleep for it though - he didn’t know what to make of that part. He rolled over in bed to find a more comfortable position, only to find the plush bear laying next to him. He scowled, and took the bear into the kitchen
“Pennyworth,” he called, “what is the meaning of this?”
“I said it would make some child very happy,” Alfred chuckled “I neglected to mention that child was you.”
“I don’t need a teddy bear Alfred. Where’s the donation pile?”
“Being distributed to children as we speak, I assume.”
“Tt.”
“The bear belongs in the manor now, you should find a place for it regardless.”
Damian groaned, lugging the bear into the living room. He sat on the coach and flipped on the TV, trying to ignore the bear in his peripheral vision. It was more difficult than he thought. Looking around for any sign of brothers, he remembered his hypothesis from earlier. If the stupid bear was here to stay, he might as well test if it was as comfortable to lay on as he imagined. He pulled it up onto the couch and laid his head on its tummy. Oh, that’s actually quite comfortable, he thought. He continued to flip through the channels until he found an acceptable thing to watch - My Neighbor Totoro. He always admired Miyazaki’s work. With the gentle music and the softness of the bear, he couldn’t help but doze off once again.
“Hey chum,”
A deep but gentle voice woke Damian from his slumber.
“Sorry to wake you, buddy, but you can’t suck on your thumb. You might get sick, we don’t want that. How about this instead?”
Damian was still half asleep, barely conscious enough to process the request. He didn’t really care, he just wanted to get back to sleep. He took whatever Bruce offered him.
“Can I sit with you?”
Damian sleepily nodded. He vaguely registered being picked up for a moment, and being moved to his father’s lap, still close enough to the bear to lay his head on it.
“You really like that bear, huh?”
Damian didn’t have the energy to rebuke the claim, so he nodded.
“He’s all yours, chum.”
Damian drifted into sleep once again.
When Damian woke up this time, he was still in Bruce’s lap. He had shifted to lay his head on his father’s chest instead of the bear. For a moment, he let himself enjoy the steady thrum of his heartbeat and breathing. The warmth radiating from him was a nice sensation. It was then he realized his father was fast asleep.
“No better sleep aid than a little one on your chest,” Alfred whispered as he offered Damian a plate of cookies.
“I’m not little,” Damian tried to say, but something was still in his mouth. He plucked it out.
“A pacifier?” Damian whisper-yelled, trying to be discreet through his surprise, “What if one of the others walked in?”
“I assure you they are all out of the house for the day,” Alfred hushed, “Your father was very excited to have some time with you.”
Damian looked up at Bruce. He was fast asleep, but… peaceful. At ease. It was rare to see his father like that. Still, he felt shame in his stomach.
“I’m not a baby, Alfred.”
“You’ll always be someone’s baby,” Alfred brushed Damian’s hair out of his face, “Your father’s, and mine too.”
Damian didn’t respond, simply grabbing a cookie from the tray he was offered. He munched on it as Alfred gave the three of them (including the bear) a kiss on the head.

She smiled as she watched Damian score another goal, turning to grin and throw his arms in the air in her direction; she waved back at him, tossing a thumbs up. The bleacher next to her bent and she happened to look up, eyes widening for a mere fraction at the gorgeous dark-haired woman gracefully taking her seat beside her. She gave a polite smile. “Talia, I wasn’t aware you’d be coming to Damian’s soccer game today.”
“It was in a report on his progress I read,” she replied, elegantly cocking one leg over the other. “Damian has never shown an interest in sports. I wanted to see his training.” She frowned. “What is the point of this? No one is battling to the death.”
“Well, it’s soccer for starters. Secondly, it’s soccer for eighth graders, so…the bloody, jam your cranium into the opponents nose comes in high school.” She lifted a package in her hand. “Gummy bear?”
Talia looked down at them, then took a few. “Thank you. What position does Damian hold?”
“Damian’s a forward player. He makes the goals and is the offense and defense when he needs to be.” Her lips pulled in an impressive fashion. “He’s actually really good at it, no surprise there, but he’s got to be one of the best players I’ve seen that isn’t pro.”
“Hmm…is this the only sport he engages in?”
“He’s planning on competing on the swim team later this semester. And I’m sure tennis or baseball will catch his eye. Not sure about football though.”
“Why not?”
“Eh, Damian’s built for sports like this, not full-contact sports. Football would be Dick or Jason’s territory. Actually, Jason was planning on teaching the—GO DAMIAN! GO! GO!” she jumped to her feet, cheering him on. “COME ON DAMIAN! YOU GOT IT, BABY! GO!”
Talia looked at her like she had three heads, then to Damian, and suddenly surged to her feet, cheering him on too. “YES! DAMIAN! MAKE THEM REGRET THEIR EXISTENCE! WIN FOR YOUR FAMILY!”
She couldn’t help but snort at Talia, but hey, she was cheering her son on, so she didn’t bother. A few moments later, the benched team members on Damian’s team leapt onto the field and bellowed for joy, cheering wildly. Damian congratulated his friends and hopped the bleachers by two to get to her. “Umi! Did you see me! Did you—” he stopped in his tracks when he saw Talia, eyebrows furrowing as he regarded her suspiciously. “Mother, what are you doing here?”
Before Talia could speak, she smiled at Damian and replied for her, “Talia came to watch your game, Damian.”
“Why?”
“Because I invited her to.” Damian gaped at her and she shrugged. “I figured she should get to come see what you do when you’re not running around at night.”
Talia looked at her with guarded eyes, then she nodded. “I came to see your progress on your training. Now that I am satisfied, I’m going back.”
“Of course, mother.”
She frowned and laid a hand on Damian’s arm. “Baby, why don’t you and Talia go to Tarbooshes and get some dinner? I bet you’re hungry after all that running.”
“But patrol is coming soon, Umi.”
“And you’ll go on patrol like normal when you’re done eating.” She bent down and kissed his head, whispering in his ear, “Go spend time with your mother, Dami. She came to see you because she loves you.”
“Yes ma’am.” Damian pulled away, slung his bag over his shoulder then looked at Talia, holding out his hand. “Shall we, mother?”
Talia’s face melted in the softest smile she’d ever seen on the woman and she took Damian’s hand in her own. “We shall, my son.” Talia’s eyes found hers and she knew what they said even without having to speak, from one mother to another.
Thank you.

Demon Spawns Part 2
Damian x Alien!Reader (established relationship)
Part 2 of Demon Spawns
You can’t stop thinking about Mar’i calling you sis. You decide to do something about it
A/N: Sorry this took so long but I hope you enjoy this. Now I’m working on Version 2 and some other stuff. After having to write a part 2 V2 is only gonna be 1 part cuz I’m not doing this again
Word Count: 2.4k
Warnings:Making out, angst
-sis?
-Sis?
-SIS??
- That’s all that’s been on your mind since your future kids incident
-In the shower
-Grocery shopping
-Work
-School
-Did Mar’I know something about your biological family that you didn’t?
-Maybe she just saw you as a older sister figure
-It made you really think about your bio family
-You absolutely adored you adopted family but you had that unexplainable need to find out about your roots, where you came from
-What better way that with a 23andMe DNA kit
-You bought the family tree version
-You didn’t really care what ethnicities you were probably mixed with
-You waited about a month for the results
-Checking your email on the hour after the sent an email saying they received your saliva
-Now you were at the manor, chilling in the common living room (they have like 7)
-It was you, Damian, Tim, Steph, Duke, and Cass
-Damian laid his head on your lap, while you playing with his hair, staring at the flat screen TV that played some action movie Duke and Steph picked
-That's when your phone vibrated
-It was an email from 23andMe
-You couldn’t believe it
-0 familial matched
-Not even a 6th cousin twice removed
-Nothing
-“I need to go to the bathroom.”
-You walked out of the living room quickly, making your way to Damian’s Room, locking yourself in his bathroom
-You walking to the sink, hands on the edge, looking at yourself through the mirror
-How?
-Was it an error?
-Were YOU an error?
-OMG
-WHAT IF YOU’RE AN AI OR ROBOT?
-WHAT IF…
-Knock knock
-“Beloved, are you ok?”
-It was your boyfriend
-“You’ve been gone for a long time”
-No you haven’t
-Once you and Damian really got comfortable with each other, he started clinging to you
-You couldn’t complain though
-You loved the attention and affection
-It took longer for Damian to open up to you, than you with him
-“I'm fine Dami.”
-You went to unlock the door
-As your hand went towards the door knob, Damian whipped the door open
-Honestly, you weren’t be surprised
-What else would you expect from a clingy ex assassin
-He takes a step closer to you, engulfing you into a hug
-You hug him back, face flushed against his chest
-“What's wrong? Did something happen?”
-He says, stroking your back gently
-You look up at him with teary eyes
-“I might have no family. Like at all.”
-Damian looked slightly confused
-“I took the 23andMe DNA kit for the family tree and I have zero results”
-“Oh habibti. You could’ve just asked me to help you.”
-Face still flushed against his chest, you respond
-“I know… I just thought maybe it was something I had to do on my own, you know.”
-Damian doesn’t respond
-He just continues stroking your back and places a kiss on the top of your head
-“Do you want to try the DNA sequence on the ‘BatComputer’ as you like to call it”
-“Yes please” You mumble in his chest
-You both just stand there, Damian’s arms wrapped around you
-“Can we do it at night when no one’s around. I don’t want them to know”
-“Of course Beloved”
-That night Damian was off from patrol
-Damian was already in the BatCave training
-You descended the stairs, but stopped when you noticed someone
-“Oh. Hey Dick. I thought you all left for patrol”
-“Hey Y/N. No, I took tonight off. Mar’i is having a sleepover with Lian so Kori and I are having a night in.”
-“Oh ok. Good night”
-“Good night”
-With that he walks up the stairs and leaves
-Damian was now sitting in the BatChair waiting for you
-You quickly walked to him, standing close to the chai
-“I already started the sequence on the ‘BatTablet’. It won’t be too long until we get the results”
-“So it runs my DNA against…?”
-“Every DNA system in the world. Police, hospitals and online DNA testing databases. I even included the Leagues.”
-You go to hug him
-Placing yourself on his lap, his hand immediately goes to your waist securing you on him lap
-You reach for his face, placing a hand gently on each cheek
-“You’re amazing and I love you”
-Damian leans closer to you, nose brushing against yours
-“Show me how much”
-You grin, close the gap between the two of you
-Damian slides the chair back as you move to straddle him, your arms wrapping around his neck
-Damian’s hand goes to the small of your back and the other at the top of your neck, bringing you as close as possible
-You open your mouth to try and take a breath
-Damian takes this as an opportunity to deepen the kiss with his tongue
- You moaned into the kiss, feeling Damian underneath you
-You both continue making out until you hear a ding
-You immediately tried to hop off Damian
-Key word tried
-He groaned as you broke the kiss
-‘Damn I should’ve turned off the notification ringer’ he thought
-“Damian I need to see the results”
-You twisted your body, still straddling Damian, trying to reach the BatTablet next the the keyboard, but Damian hugged you tightly
-You turned to face him and places a hand on each of his cheeks
-“Dami, I really need to see those results. I promise we can continue this later”
-He looked at and raised his eyebrows, holding out his pinkie finger to you
-“Pinkie promise”
-You taught Damian the concept of pinkie promises just before you starting dating
-Naturally, he thought that they were silly and childish
-But now, to him, they’re blood oaths
-“Pinkie promise”
-As soon as he let go of you you rushed to the BatTablet
-When you opened the results your face contorted into one of confusion and shock
-Damian just watched you from the BatChair, eyebrows now furrowed
-You kept scrolling
-Then you stopped
-Your mouth fell into a frown and tears welled in your eyes
-Damian took this as his sign to come up to you
-You handed him the BatTablet and ascended the stairs to the manor
-Damian quickly scummed the results as he tried to follow you
-Once he reached the foyer he saw you putting of you jacket and grabbing your keys
-“Where are you going?”
-“To get answers”
-Damian didn’t hesitate as he put on his jacket and grabbed your keys from your hands
-“I’m driving”
-The car ride was quiet
-Once Damian parked the car you both just sat there in silence
-Damian really wished he could read your mind at that moment
-To know what you were thing, what you were feeling
-He hated see you like this
-“What are you go-”
-Before we could finish you get out the car, strutting into the apartment complex
-Damian rushed out of the car to follow you
-Damian finally caught up to you
-You were standing in front of the apartment door
-You didn’t know how to feel
-You started banging on door with both fists
-You wanted to make sure that they heard you
-Suddenly the door was whipped open
-“Oh my gosh! What are you do-”
-Ignoring him, you push past him to see her come into the living room
-Looking confused, he turns to Damian
-Damian hands him the BatTablet
-She walks in from one of the bed room
-“Hey? What’s going on?”
-She clutched her robe, attempting to cover herself up more
-“How long have you known?”
-“What? What are you talking about?”
-She knew exactly what you were talking about
-She didn’t want to admit it, she couldn’t
-You turned and grabber the BatTablet from him, and force her to look at it
-She slowly takes it from your hand looking down at it
-“I didn’t want you to find out this way. I swear”
-“Oh really? Or did you not want me to find out at all?”
-She stayed silent
-You turned to him
-“Did you know too Dick?”
-He was silent too, guilty look in his eyes
-That’s all you needed to know
-You finally started to let the tears fall
-“I trusted you. I opened up to you. I told you how I felt abandoned by my birth parents and how I thought I wasn’t good enough for them. How if I was better maybe they wouldn’t have given me away. But all this time, you were right here. In the same state.”
-“N/N it’s not like that.”
-You couldn’t take it anymore
-She kept this huge secret from me
-“Don’t call me that. You’re my mother Kori.”
-You weren’t even mad, just sad
-Sad that she’s known for 3 years and didn’t say anything
-Sad that she never told you
-Sad that even when she knew, she never wanted to be your mother
-You didn’t understand one thing though
-“Why didn’t you tell me”
-You said in a hushed tone
-“I was. When I was able to confirm that you were really my daughter I was going to tell you. But then I saw you with your adoptive parents, and you looked so happy. I didn’t want to ruin that”
-She wasn’t entirely wrong, but it wasn’t enough for you
-“What kind of excuse is that? You thought I would be better off not knowing who my biological mother is. I even told you that I wanted to know, that I’ve tried doing research to find her”
-She was still silent
-“You sent your daughter away just to have another one”
-That broken Kor’i’s heart even more
-At this point both you and Kor’i were in tears
-You wiped your eyes trying to pull yourself together
-“I can’t do this. Let’s go Damian”
-Damian follows you as you storm out, leaving Kor’i broken and Dick to try and pick up the pieces
-After that night, you a would avoid Dick and Kor’i as much as possible
-It got so bad that you didn’t go to the manor for 3 weeks
-Much to your dismay, you were forced to see her, be in the same room as her
-Everyone sensed the tension between the two of you
-Mostly… ALL coming from you
-You were so furious with her
-Everyone was silent, waiting for the meeting to start
-That silence lasted until not other than Wally West spoke up
-”So I did the math…”
-You already knew what was coming
-You did the math too
-”Star, you had a baby at 15?”
-Sigh
-Of course
-”Tamaranean customs and way of life are different on earth than there. And time is different in space, Wallace.”
-You tuned everyone out as you looked out the window of the WatchTower
-You were situated far enough to hear everything, but far enough to be alone with your thoughts
-You were thinking about everything and nothing
-After you found out about Kor’i you felt so numb
-Could you do the same thing she did?
-Even though you knew your future kids for less than 12 hours, part of you broke when you had to see them go
-Did she feel the same way when she has to let you go?
-It must’ve
-It had to
-She had to
-You were started by a hand on your shoulder
-“You should talk to her”
-You knew he knew what you were thinking about
-“You don't want to?”
-It’s not that you didn’t want to, you couldn’t
-“Exactly”
-He turned you to look at him
-He just looked at you
-Giving you the look you can so easily recognize
-‘You know what you have to do’
-Damn him
-You sighed, dropping your shoulders
-You dropped your head into his chest, wrapping your arms around his waist
-He just hugged you back
-After a few moments you released him
-“I have to talk to Kent about something”
-You nodded at he walked away, making his way towards Jon
-You turned your head to look out the WatchTower, crossing your arms
-You just had to ask her if it hurt and that’s it
-Right?
-Walked toward Kori, grabbing her wrist, pulling her into an empty room
-“Did it hurt?”
-“I’m sorry what?”
-“Did it hurt, when you have to send me away?”
-Kor’i sighed
-“Of course it did. It hurt more than being experimented on”
-You were satisfied with that answer, but it you didn’t let it show
-“Well then… ”
-You shifted your weight on your heels
-“I’m willing to possibly have a relationship with you”
-She smiled and hugged you tightly
-She released you after a few seconds hands on your arms
-“This makes me the most happy”
-You nod with a small smile
-“Let’s return to the others”
-Once to two of you joined the others, the meeting was just starting
-Bat man spoke first
-“We are about to face a possible new threat”
-A cryptic message appears on the board
-“We’ve ran it through every language on our database and zero result”
-Studying to message further you realized it’s not alien language
-“It’s code”
-Batman turned to you as you spoke
-“It’s a code I made when I was like 10. But I haven’t used it since I was like 15/16”
-Wally sped to you, wrapping his arms around your shoulder
-“You’re an alien princess with your own secret language”
-He chuckles
-“What else don’t we know about you, N/N. What-”
-Before he could finish Damian pulls him off you by his collar
-“Get your leprechaun in check Grayson before I do it myself”
-Oh when he threatens people for you 😍
-Wally releases himself from Damian’s hold
-“Who are you calling leprechaun, midget”
-“I’m taller than you West”
-You and Artemis shared of look
-If y’all didn’t stop this disagreement now, someone, Wally, would get hurt
-A bright orange light flashed in the center of the conference room
-Everyone immediately prepared to attack
-You didn’t
-The light felt warm, familiar
-“WAIT! Don’t do anything” you yelled
-Once the light disappeared, a guy was there
-He looked about 18 or 19
-His skin matched yours and his hair was like Damian’s
-He had the most beautiful shade of green eyes like Damian’s but the warmth of yours
-You go to hug him
-“Hi Sunny”
-He smiles as he hugs you back
-“Hi Mom. Did you get my message”
-OOOHHH
-Of course
-“Yes. You almost gave your grandfather a heart attack”
-Clark giggled
-Sunny turned to look at his father
-“Hi Dad”
-Damian just nodded, not knowing what to say
-Sunny smiled
-He knew his father might’ve acted like this
-Your son from the future just appeared
-How is Damian the one internally freaking out while you’re so calm?
-“What’s going on? Why are you here?”
-Sunny turned to look at you
-“We need your help mom”
-Sunny looked serious
-Oh no
OMG THIS TOOK FOREVER. But that's my fault hehe Plz let me know how you feel about this. I appreciate ANY type of criticism. I NEED IT TO GET BETTER.
I lowkey forgot about this lolz but I got it done
