Big news for the Gwen/Owen bitches, BBC dumped their scripts online - turns out Countrycide had an alternate ending and I am FUMING THAT THEY DIDNT USE IT

It feels like a much better payoff than the final ending. I mean sure the final lines are a bit clunky and a callback to an earlier clunky line, but they could’ve tweaked it. And pretty close to how I would’ve wanted it to play out.

Bonus points for Chibs describing their “just fucked look” 😂

Moving onto Greeks Bearing Gifts, the script is even hornier than the episode, to the point where even Tosh remarks that Gwen and Owen should “get a room”. And we have this gem during Gwen’s roast of his post mortem:

It got me thinking - we hear Owen fantasising about Gwen, but I don’t think Gwen has an equivalent!

okay that was. yeah that was. traumatising. normally i don’t mind cannibalism (normal sentence right there) but jesus fucking CHRIST. humans are the real monsters is a tired trope but it’s so harrowing they all keep saying throughout the episode before the twist “whatever did this can’t be human” “it’s not human” and even though i knew what was coming i’m still shaken to the core. goddamn. not one to rewatch in the foreseeable future — i enjoy dark, not bleak . because it makes us happy. god. i liked it. fantastic psychological horror.

addendum: coming out in full support of gwen’s cheater agenda. people that go through petrifying traumatic near death experiences together share a bond that nobody else can come close to. what does rhys have. i’m sure he’s a nice guy but he is not an interesting character. i would feel sorry for him irl but this is not real life so.🫡 women’s wrongs. dump his ass
