Humors of It au Hettie about Belos and his curse in general. Being a healing head witch is both her dream job and biggest nightmare.
(aka how does she keep the Emperor alive if she knows fuck-all even about his basic medical history)

I’m sorry but it’s funny that Belos managed to impose a Puritan fear of Wild Magic over the Boiling Isles but wasn’t able to impose the slightest bit of Puritan Homophobia over that same time period.

Darius Deamonne🪡Eberwolf the huntsman🪲 Hunter 🐺
I been want to post this and where I’m, it’s Father’s Day so I thought why not. I saw people were also doing a dadius week and I really want to join but I don’t have any embroidery/art ideas to do for it. But it one of my favorite things from this fandom as it’s so sweet. Hopefully I can think of something more for them later in the future.
I also love Eber so much along Darius so I need him to be included. Also him joking with Hunter that he his wolf dad or uncle or something. Just him picking a fun name to call himself and Hunter joking along to annoy Darius. Also Eber totally calling hunter cub as it’s so cute
Also costume note as I have to say it but I love how Darius subtly matches Hunter in the last bits, as look hunter has a little bit of purple from his wolf shirt and Darius has a little bit of yellow to match hunter.
[ID: The picture is a felt doll that is the shape of a gingerbread man with a big circle head, they is supposed to be Darius Deamonne He has dark brown felt for skin, different shades of purple felt to make up his ab hair and beard. He has his white gloves and boots. He has on his violet pants, black shir with purple beads around the neck line, and the golden edging. And this purple shoulder cape. Eberwolf is made wirh orange felt and a copper color felt for his hair, he have fluffy cheeks and pointy ears. He in his gery shirt, and brown skirt that have spikes. And brown shoes, and yellow wristbands. And Hunter he have his short blonde hair and the extra stand. And he has this big scars on his face with and scar ear. He is his cosmic frontier cosplay with the top part tied around his waist and his Wolf shirt that has little purple wolfs on it what have little white stitch around it to look like he made it. The first picture it a remake of the reunion scene with Eber wolf on Darius’ shoulder and the 2nd picture Eber is standing next to him.:ID]

Coven Head Irony
Tumblr media
So to keep track of how each Coven Head is ironic so far;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lilith and Hunter led the Emperor’s coven of unrestricted magic, yet ultimately have little to none of their own and betrayed Belos.
Tumblr media
Raine Whispers is a bard with stage fright.
Tumblr media
Darius turns into a goopy Abomination but is a neat freak.
Tumblr media
Eberwolf is a beastkeeper, yet is themselves a feral and rebellious beast.
Tumblr media
Terra Snapdragon is a murderous plant witch who sows conflict instead of nurturing growth.
Tumblr media
Adrian Graye is an illusionist who looks past the facade to find the truth.
Tumblr media
So what, then, of our remaining four? Does Ulrich like to indulge in demolition, a destroyer as the other side to the coin of creation? Does he burn and destroyed figuratively and/or literally, especially in helping Belos wipe out society?
Is the Oracle Head someone who looks into the future, yet is ensuring there is no future to see by supporting Belos’ genocide? Is he a Cassandra, and/or apprehensive of and in denial of a traumatizing future he saw? Perhaps trying to prevent his own visions from coming true, and thus render them obsolete; If he isn’t a self-fulfilling prophecy instead?
Is the Healing Head the definition of medical malpractice? A doctor who mistreats and dismisses patients, sabotages recovery, and/or a capitalist who holds medical care from behind a paywall?
And the Potions Head... Honestly I’m speculating that they’re just constantly thirsty and dehydrated, hence their occupation. Always sucking up liquids through their proboscis nose like a mosquito, or a vampire.
Makes you wonder then if Scooter Crane was ever ironic in his own way, as the previous Bard Head? A musician who no longer performs nor takes the spotlight?

Some alignment charts about those sad losers who all lived at the castle once.
I'm not good with hcs for characters without or little personality, but if you want to see the rest of the coven heads I can only recommend @stormvanari s charts. They are hilarious and inspired me to do this.

How do you think a "hero and villian are forced to work together" type of episode would have worked between Luz and Belos?
(Note, this is a rough outline of what season three could look like but without any focus on subplots.)
The intro would play the way it does in Thanks to Them, and we’d get some scenes of the Hexsquad adjusting to Earth while Luz is in school. She’d still be suffering from guilt, but it would be related to abandoning Camila without thinking about how that could affect her, especially with Manny’s death. Additionally, there would be a scene where Vee and Luz talk about what happened, and Vee apologizes for taking over Luz’s life and throwing out her things without permission. I think it’d be a good thing to give Vee some more time to develop and acknowledge her own mistake.
At school, we could have a few scenes of Luz trying to fit in and being shunned as evidence for why she was so eager to leave behind the Human Realm. We’d still have the scene of Flapjack finding the Codex and the Hexsquad deciding they’d go searching for the Titan’s Blood as a surprise for Luz. It would also be around this time that we see Gus and Hunter being Cosmic Frontier nerds. They’d get the scene of the group finding giraffes and getting terrified like in canon, and they meet Masha, who gives them a hand with the code.
It would then switch to follow Philip wandering about the Human Realm, possessing or feeding on animal corpses in an attempt to regain his strength. This would be an incredibly grim set of scenes focused on the difficulty Philip has with physical survival and regaining his strength after what the Collector did. A lot of his screentime would focus on the after effects Philip experiences after the Day of Unity. He’s falling apart and having a hard time becoming stable without a form to take over, and he would frequently be interrupted and distressed by various memories that Gus went through in King’s Tide coming back and tormenting him.
He’d start working up in forms until he got to a deer and get hit by a car just like in canon, and goop would get sprayed and spilled over the road, attracting Luz’ and Camila’s attention as they’re driving home with groceries. This is the point that Philip becomes a variable to the Hexsquad, and they start trying to plan around him.
Then, as the episode continued, each party would individually realize that the Collector is a threat to their respective goals (Luz’s goal being to save the Isles and Philip’s being to destroy them) along with the unwanted necessity of needing the other person in order to be able to stop the Collector from going on a rampage. Philip could help them make another portal if they gave him the right incentive with it. The group is rightfully conflicted on it, and Hunter is the most outspoken one on the Anti-Philip side of things for obvious reasons.
Philip would probably be more active about seeking Luz out because he’s more aware of her and the Hexsquad, while the latters are still putting pieces together about where he is and grappling with the fact that he may be an asset. Eventually, he’d move to digging up corpses and possessing them to get back his human form without actually hurting any humans before he forced himself into his human form briefly to get his clothes back and starts hauling himself to the Noceda household.
The scene of Philip knocking on the door of the house that the Hexsquad’s adopted would be very tense because, a) everyone is already there, so who’s knocking on the door, and, b) Philip is possessing a literal corpse to be here. Along with, you know, he’s Philip.
He wouldn’t ever say “I need your help to take down the Collector,” because he would not want to confess that he needs help and cannot take the Collector on alone. Instead, he makes it about how the Hexsquad needs him to make a stable portal and his magical expertise will be invaluable to them. Hell, he’ll even be generous and swear to not attack them while they’re teamed up. After a lot of debate and bargaining, they come to an agreement and start working together.
The rest of the episode is about how the various characters come to terms with having to be around the monster that tried to murder them all, and how Philip attempts to balance his recovery and creating the portal. On Halloween, they go out and have a bit of fun before they go to leave, and they still see the Tale of the Brothers Wittebane. The episode would end with the characters going through the portal, except for Vee, who stays behind how she does in canon. She’s been incredibly brave in facing and dealing with her abuser/captor, and I like that she’s not expected or forced to go along after that.
In For the Future, it would focus on King and the Collector for about half of it (with a little bit of Eda and Lilith) and the expanded Hexsquad for half of it.
On King’s side of things, he is dealing with a very sadistic and manipulative Collector (Shadow Collector, my beloved /j) They’re still playing Owl House with the Collector as Luz, but they’ve amped the stakes up. Instead of puppetifying everyone immediately, the Collector is forcing everyone to play their parts through intimidation, and if they mess up, then they start getting turned into a puppet slowly. It travels kind of like possession but slower, and the victims lose control and feeling of their limbs as the spell progresses. I’m thinking a horrifying situation that kind of goes, “my body is not my own.” Once someone is completely transformed, the spell is irreversible like petrification and basically becomes a corpse that is forced to move around and talk by the Collector. Eda, Hooty, and Lilith are set up by King as vital characters and are given a bit more leeway because King said they’re necessary for the game. Still, the Collector is becoming more violent as he starts to get bored with the game.
With the Hexsquad, Gus is quickly becoming one of the more important characters in the episode. The earring the at he took from Graye had a slice of Galderstone, which, contrary to popular belief, amplifies the complexity and scale of illusions that can be done. Using this knowledge, Gus makes and maintains an illusion as the Hexsquad walks that makes it seem as if there is nobody there without needing to hold breath the way they would with a glyph. He does a double-layered spell: one layer that has slight changes to the area around them and a couple animals to explain the noise they’re making, and another that just makes the group invisible to other eyes.
Willow and Amity will start talking properly about the way that things have changed over the past couple years and how just because Odalia and Alador made them stop being friends did not excuse the bullying that she did for years. Amity could properly acknowledge this and work to be better.
Camila is being a momma bear while also trying to adapt the way Luz did, and Luz finally gets to explain to her mother how she came to the Isles and how she fell in love with the place as a whole. It’s a really good bonding moment for the pair, and I think it could really help flesh out the way they interact as a family as a whole.
They’d stop at the Owl House and take a break, and Gus would have a moment where he talks to and connects with Philip. He explains his fascination and interest with humans and how he spent his childhood being enamored with them. He thought they were strange, amazing creatures that were good as a whole. Now, with what he’s seen in Philip’s memories, he feels disillusioned and hurt, like he’s lost a part of something integral to himself. How it that humans can be so horrible to people?
It would be really interesting to watch Philip and Gus to mourn their childhoods and the loss of that bright-eyed innocence about the world. After all, even if Philip believes humanity is good, he knows that there are bad people, and it can’t have been easy to learn that.
It would be a moment of genuine connection between the pair, and Philip could point out that there are good and bad people in every group, and that for every murderer or thief, there are doctors and authors and other amazing people who change the world. After listening to that, Gus pauses for a moment and says, “Have you ever considered that it’s the same way for witches, too?”
The pair stop talking after that.
Finally, finally, Luz and Philip get to talking about the way things are. Luz shares some of her concerns about being like him and how she’s a bad person for helping him meet the Collector. Philip roughly says, “You aren’t like me; you’re like Caleb.” Then we get a brief flashback scene as Philip explains a little bit of his childhood—being orphaned and dependent on Caleb with no one else in his life, the way he was all but destroyed when he saw his brother leave with Evelyn, how certain he was that Caleb wouldn’t abandon him, and everything else about his story.
At that point, Luz starts feeling awful about what happened with her mother and how scared she must have been when she found out that Luz wasn’t at summer camp and instead another realm. She wonders how she could be so thoughtless and what other ways she could have hurt the people she cares about. Philip points out that Camila is still alive and that there’s time to make things right between them. Hearing that, Luz runs off to go talk to her mother.
Camila is a bit surprised that her daughter comes to her suddenly and says that she needs to talk with her. They go into another room, and Luz pours her heart out about everything that happens and apologizes for leaving the way she did and not talking about things with her. Camila is gentle and comforts her, saying that she had been incredibly scared, but she’s proud of how much Luz has grown from her time in the Boiling Isles and how she could never ask her to leave someplace so dear to her forever.
Luz’s palisman wish in this is, “All I wanted is to feel like I belong somewhere,” because it still fits into her theme of being a weirdo and feeling misunderstood without putting pressure on her friends and family to bend over backwards to understand her even when they disagree. Stringbean is still her Palisman, but she’s just a snake as opposed to a snake-shifter.
Meanwhile, the Collector is becoming more and more suspicious of their “friend.” King goes away too often, and he’s always so secretive around Lilith and Eda! What if he’s planning something? What if he’s going to betray them the way Philip did? He begins preparing himself for King’s betrayal and spends some spies to follow the Titan. Eda, Lilith, Hooty, and King wander about in some of their limited time away from the Collector while they’re distracted or sleeping.
Eventually, the two groups meet up, and there’s a lot of joy for everyone as they reunite with each other, explain what’s been happening in the different realms, and introduce Eda, Lilith, and King to Camila. The Hexsquad is ecstatic to know that their loved ones are okay, as King confirms that he hasn’t seen any of them get puppetified (and King’s almost always there when that happens). However, once the shock has worn off, they realize that Philip is there, and they become incredibly suspicious about him. The situation is quickly explained, and the Eternal Oath between the two groups soothes them for now, but Lilith makes sure to tell Philip that she’s watching him for any suspicious business. The episode ends on the Collector, revealing that he’s seen the whole interaction.
In Watching and Dreaming, it would start shortly after Eda, Lilith, and Hooty were reunited with Luz and the rest of the Hexsquad. Philip is awkward and generally standing off to the side due to his mistreatment of both witches in the past and the growing realization that with the fight approaching, they will have to fight and either die or suffer, and Philip will have to turn against them in the end.
Eventually, the Collector would find the group and try to take King hostage for betraying him and working for his downfall. That would trigger an all out fight where everyone would scramble to get King free. Hunter would succeed by grabbing King and teleporting away after Amity restrains the Collector for a short period of time.
I’m not the best at describing fight scenes, but it would be a mess. Willow would be shooting vines at the Collector and making sure that everyone had the potential to get in range and get away if needed. Gus would be distracting, diverting, and attempting to visually overwhelm the Collector with his illusions. He might even try the bad memory thing again.
Amity would attack utilizing abomination matter and attempt to restrain the Collector’s movement. Hunter would have Flapjack and go about his usual teleportation-and-retreat based fighting style. King would use his Titan powers and Lilith would use potions (and Hooty) to destroy and hold back the puppet army. Eda and Camila would be doing their best to give the Collector hell while protecting their kids, and they’d be absolutely badass at it.
Philip would be fighting like the devil, and it’d be another opportunity to get a true sense and scale of his power. I’m thinking that because he’s the most durable and survived being liquified by the Collector, he jumps in to take most of the damage for the Hexsquad. Finally, Luz would be absolutely amazing with her glyph combinations now that Philip has had some time to teach her some of his combinations.
The fight would eventually end when Philip partially petrifies the Collector before Luz slams them with a glyph combination that nice again traps them in their prison. Then, the Hexsquad absolutely demolishes the tablet that’s used for the imprisoned and the real world to communicate.
There’s celebrations, laughing, crying, and hugging. People are hugging, and Amity and Luz kiss after the latter hugs her mother. Everyone’s celebrating, except for Philip. He’s standing off to the side and kind of staring at the scene before him. He’s seeing proof, actual proof, of the goodness of the witches and demons that he thought were evil. His entire life has been dedicated to a lie, and everything that he used to see as good is monstrous.
Philip is badly wounded, but he interrupts the festivities to attack the witches around him. Luz uses Stringbean to deflect the attack and begins fighting him back. With the wounds he has and the knowledge he’s been wrong his whole life, Philip is not fighting nearly as well as he does in his prime, making it easier for Luz to fight against him on more equal ground.
Luz asks him to stop, saying that there has to be some other way to resolve the situation. Now that she understands the situation and what caused it, maybe find another way. (Basically, she tries to pull a Steven Universe)
“How else could this have ended with how far I’ve gone?” Philip asks, continuing to fight. They continue to fight, the man getting more and more injured as they go on. Eventually, he’s too wounded to go on, and his body gives out beneath him. He passes on soon after. Luz is there when he dies, but she is not responsible for it. I want it to feel kind of somber, because he’s a pretty tragic character as a whole.
————
That’s my idea for Season Three if Philip and Luz had to team up. A lot of Thanks to Them comes from @chiconisroc’s “Was Not The Hero,” because it’s got the same sort of premise.

Random Coven Head HCs
Just for fun, and I'm avoiding HW.
Mason and Vitimir are both perfectionists. Mason because he accidentally constructed one of his school projects wrong and he had to start all over the night before it's due. Lil' Mason got his first few gray hairs that night. Vitimir because he wanted to try and get his parent's attention by being top of his class. Even thought that didn't work, it's also so he doesn't have his potion blow up in his face. Literally.
Hettie has multiple "projects" going on, involving some TF2 Medic-like abominations. Belos is glad, yet terrified to have her on his side, or else his heart may not be his own one morning. Also literally, she is insanely fast.
Adrian has a 2 hour morning and night routine that rivals Darius' 30 minute morning routine. When in college, his suite mate and roommate had to time their trips to the bathroom very carefully. That, or try to convince Adrian to wear a concealment stone.
Osran briefly had a job of being a fortune teller. He was fired for seeing the customer's future all the way until their deaths. He still does it and knows when and how Terra will die. And has told her. She might as well drop there with how close it is.
Eberwolf has brought fleas into the palace not once, not twice, not even thrice, but a total of 15 times. No one knows how, but it's a week of hell each time. It takes Mason, Vitimir, Darius, and Osran to just hold him down while the Scouts try to quickly draw a bath. All but Osran get fleas since he uses his spirit hand and they envy him for it.
Terra tried to poison Hettie out of spite by putting crushed up poisonous berries in her drink. Well, what she thought was Hettie's drink. It was actually Vitimir's, but because of his corrosive breath/acidic saliva, it had no effect. But he says it made the drink taste sweeter!
Raine and Eberwolf have this "duet" where Raine plays their choice of instrument and Eberwolf howls along extremely off key and off beat. Raine tolerates it because it agitates Terra in the morning and karma is a bitch.
Mason, when overwhelmed, curls up in a ball and makes a sort of "cave" around himself for a bit until he feels better. The one downside is that he forgets to deconstruct these "caves", so there's just nests made from the ground all around the castle grounds. He gets overwhelmed by his students mostly, so Raine lends him some sympathy.
Darius accidentally told Adrian to "try and relax" after Adrian realized he has a cowlick. In a nutshell, it wasn't a pretty sight.
Kikimora almost got eaten by one of Terra's plants. No, obviously Terra isn't sorry. No, the plant isn't sorry either. No, the plant didn't want to eat her after tasting her. Yes, Kikimora taunts it after that.
Adrian and Vitimir hate each other. Adrian has rearranged Vitimir's messy, but organized potion room multiple times. Once, all of his ingredients were in alphabetical order, another time was by color, and the last was by the height of the containers. Vitimir gets his revenge by switching his shampoo with hair dye. Adrian's hair has been every color of the coven system.

When Belos makes you forget who they are, mini one shots:
Came from a post I made a while ago, how I think the coven heads can't date cause it'll distract them.
Characters included: Raine, Darius, Adrian
Raine:
Tumblr media
Raine waited by the airship loading bay. You were supposed to be returning from a mission, but so far, there was no news. They sat and watched scouts run around, orders being thrown about all over the place. They were early, but they wanted to surprise you and congratulate you, even if it went badly.
Soon, the hours rolled by, and they began to worry, playing their violin, to calm themselves, and to think what could be going on. Until a scout captain tapped their shoulder, pulling them out of their trance.
“Head witch. Emperor Belos wants to see you.”
“What for?”
"He didn't say. Please follow me."
They stood, not before taking one final glance at the loading bay, seeing it empty out, before leaving and heading towards the throne room.
The doors opened, Raine was barely able to see each foot in front of the other, let alone Belos sat, hunched, fingers digging into the arm rests, on his throne at the other end of the room.
As they got closer, doors slamming behind them, making them jump, they saw you. Laying on the floor, wheezing for breath and yellow glowing veins littered your body. Raine sped over, dropping to their knees beside you, holding you close, shaking you.
"(Y/N)? Are you okay?"
“Ah Raine. There you are.”
“What did you do to them?”
Belos rose from his throne, and got closer. Raine, held you tightly, glaring with hurt at you, not letting you fall from their grip, refusing to look Belos's way.
“Just a simple spell. Erasing you from their memories.”
He grabbed Raine’s face, forcing them to look at him. They dropped you in the process, but when they tried to reach for you, Belos threw Raine back.
“They were a distraction. I allowed it at first cause they motivated you, but now they're nothing more than a cheap distraction. I had to take action, otherwise you’d fall behind, and I can't have that.”
Belos stood tall, towering over Raine, as they crawled back slightly.
“I do hope you understand.”
Raine was suddenly halted, as a red aura glowed around them and was flung back, taking them out of the room, watching your form get smaller and smaller the faster they were dragged down the hall until the doors closed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You awoke in your quarters, body aching. You tried to stretch, but winced in pain when you tried to raise your arms. You rubbed your wrist, looking ver at your desk to find a note, and curiously hobbled over to it.
The note was from Emperor Belos, congratulating you on your most recent mission, and that the Scout Captain had to take you too to your room due to your hard work. It made you feel proud, knowing that all the hard work was beginning to pay off, that even the Emperor recognised it.
You would've jumped up in joy, but you felt too exhausted. Your body felt like it had ran all across the body of the Titan. Slowly, you grabbed your clothes and got dressed, as the note also said there was a coven head meeting today.
It was more like an observation along with a few other scouts proficient in a type of magic that’ll be useful for future missions. Yours was bard, you had seen the coven head a few times, they were fairly new, possibly been working for six months or so, but you had yet to speak to them properly, rather than through letters or indirect messages through scouts. You hoped you'd be able to speak to them today.
But your hope went away the minute the meeting was over. You knew the head witch didn't like people, but they didn't even look in your general direction when you greeted them or when they left. Even the other coven heads flashed you a glance of sympathy, or pity, you could never really tell.
You decided to follow them, needing to discuss notes and plans for an upcoming mission, but they disappeared without a trace, leaving you standing there in the corridor beyond confused. They only just left, so they couldn't have gotten far, so you trekked down the corridor, asking scouts if they had seen the head witch, with only having no every time.
You huffed in annoyance until a creak caught your attention. Behind a painting, was a dark narrow stairway. Somewhere in the back of your mind told you you'd been here before, it felt so familiar, so you followed the steps up, as you got closer, you could hear the sounds of a soft melody from a violin.
It sounded beautiful, peaceful almost, if not for the sad tonal shift every so often. When you opened the door, there sat the head witch, sitting on the balcony.
You knew better than to disturb them, but you summoned a flute, and played along, not knowing where the urge to play came from, let alone the song.
They turned upon hearing your instrument and gazed at you with shock and surprise, before smiling softly and continued playing alongside you.
"It's a lovely song. Did you write it yourself?" You asked after a while of silence when the music stopped, sitting beside them, staring at the skull of the titan.
"I did. It was for someone special to me."
"I'm sorry. I didn't know." Immediately feeling regret, you stood, wanting to leave. They grabbed you hand softly, pulling you back.
"Don't be, it was nice to play it with someone after so long." They turned to face you, the tips of their ears burning a light red.
"How did you know what to play?"
"I'm not sure. I just felt like I heard it before and was drawn to it." You scratched your head, unsure yourself of your own answer, but the head witch laughed.
"Music does make you feel that way. You're very talented."
"Oh please, no where near as talented as you head witch."
"Please, call me Raine."
Darius:
Tumblr media
Darius sat, quietly waiting. You had been summoned to the throne room, but you didn't say what for, only that Belos wanted to speak with you. He tried to convince you to send an illusion, if anything should happen, but you held his hand told him not to worry, that you'd be fine.
But that was an hour ago, Darius knew Belos well enough that something would've happened, using your own mind against you. So when the doors finally opened, he leapt up. You walked out, scratching the back of your head, and Darius saw red, assuming the worst and bolted to you.
"(Y/N), are you alright?" He asked, holding your face gently, but you jumped back in surprise.
"Head witch?"
"Its alright, you don't need to pretend anymore."
"I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean." You took his hands off your face gently, placing them at is side, only having a confused look plastered across your face.
"What?" He looked at you in disbelief, you weren't a good actor, better than Adrian, but not by much, so the look and your tone was very real.
"Excuse me." You brushed past him, walking away and disappearing down the corridor. Darius clenched his fists, and stormed into the throne room, causing the doors to slam, Belos sighed at the scene.
"What did you do to them?" Darius yelled, abomination goo beginning to float around him.
"Calm down head witch, you'll only hurt yourself." Belos said all to calmly.
"I did what must've been done. You knew the rules, yet here you are breaking them. I knew you were rebellious, but I thought your time as head witch would've shut that out." Belos stood from his throne, walking towards Darius.
"May I remind you of what happens to witches who rebel?"
Belos summoned his staff, a red aura surrounded it, and images of petrified witches flooded Darius's mind, making him wince and grip his head in pain.
"I'll allow a mess up like this once, but no more."
Belos walked out of the room, leaving Darius standing there. Belos had wiped your memory of him, or most of them. He knew someone he could go to, but the idea of talking to him on a personal level made him nauseous.
"You want me to send you to their mindscape so you can repair their memories?" Adrian stood in the doorway of his office, barley awake.
"Trust me, you're the last person I want to go to but-"
"But I'm the only one who can do mind magic." He stated smugly.
"Vitimir can make a potion, but it'll take too long."
"Hmm." Adrian pondered, placing a finger on his chin.
"Sorry, no can do."
"What why?" Darius stepped forward, but Adrian placed a finger on his shoulder, stopping him.
"Mind magic is complicated. For all we know I could make things worse. Besides, you don't want to be seen as a traitor, do you? I know what your plan is, I could very easily report it." His tail swayed in anticipation, and Darius stood there dumbfounded, he hadn't thought that far ahead.
"Sorry old friend." Adrian shut the door in his face and he sighed rubbing his hand down his face.
"Adrian always make other peoples days so much worse." Your soft voice broke him form his thoughts and he rapidly turned to face you.
"That's why I try not to talk to him." You laughed a little, but gasped when the stack of paper nearly slipped from your grip.
"Usually I don't, but unfortunately I needed to." Darius took some of the papers from you, easing the load.
"Anything I could help with?"
"You look like you've got enough in your hands, but either way, sadly not." He looked at the ground, and began to walk away, but looked back at you.
"Well come on."
"Oh, you don't need to do that head witch, you've got far more important duties than mine." You said catching up, about to take your work from him when he handed it to an abomination.
"Trust me, if I had work to be doing right now I would be." He walked off, head held high, clutching his cape. The abomination held out a hand, wanting your papers, so you reluctantly gave them to it and followed after him.
You both sat down in a work booth, Darius presenting you your favourite drink, which you sipped happily away at. Somewhere deep inside of you wondered how he knew, and why he had a small smile on his face when you exclaimed your excitement the drink, but the quicker the thought came, it went, a red glow coming from your sigil, suddenly confused what you were curious at.
Adrian rushed to the healing wing, shoving whoever was in his way to the floor. Panic rose in him, struggling for breath as he slammed the door open.
"Where are they?"
Hettie walked over, hands raised, trying to stop Adrian from storming over.
"They're here, but you need to stay back. We don't know what condition they're in right now."
"I don't care. I need to see them. They need to know I'm here."
He tried pushing himself off Hettie, but her grip was too strong. He soon gave up, breathing jagged as she got one of the nurses to fetch him a chair.
Hours passed by without hearing of anything, he crunched the note he had received in his hand. A note from Belos, stating that he would've been in big trouble, but has decided a punishment fitting for him, with the necklace he gifted you attached to it. Adrian wrapped the necklace around his hand, and brought it up to his mouth, trying to calm himself down.
Some of the other coven heads stopped by to see how he was doing, and if there was any news, most of the time, it was Darius. He didn't like Adrian at the best of times, but still felt somewhat sorry for him. They knew of Adrian's secret relationship with you, and all agreed to keep it secret, since Adrian had actually begun to work hard and wasn't as much of a pain in their side as usual.
They asked him what had happened, as all they heard was that you were in an accident on a mission but he told them he didn't know either, sounding defeated.
Adrian's foot bounced up and down against the floor at rapid speed, until Hettie opened the door, giving him a saddened look.
"How are they? Can I see them?"
He jumped off his chair, tail flicking around nervously, but Hettie only came closer and rested a hand on his shoulder.
"They're fine, but there's a small complication."
"What do you mean?"
"She doesn't remember anything recently."
"So what? Not remembering missions isn't that bad." Adrian said, sounding unsure when he mentioned a mission.
"Adrian. They don't remember your time together."
Adrian's face fell. Surely she was joking? Her face will break with a crack at the lips, and she'll howl with laughter. But she never did.
"We asked them the last thing they remembered, and they said it was a coven meeting to introduce us to the new golden guard yesterday. "
"It was two years ago." Adrian barely whispered, taking Hettie's hand off his shoulder, staring down at the floor.
"You can still see them, but just be prepared. It's going to be hard, for both of you."
"Why don't they remember?" Adrian's eyes widened, knowing it had something to do with Belos, but he couldn't figure out what, it was all to much for him to think about.
"We don't know yet."
"Well, don't just stand there it's your job. Just figure it out."
When he pulled back the curtain gently, he saw you, smiling and talking with some of the nurses. A small grin tugged at his lips. You were always kind and chatting with others.
Hearing the curtain being pulled back, you turned to face the head witch, confused, but welcomed his presence.
"Good morning, head witch. Dont tell me you've got the common mould too?"
Hettie and Adrian sat down with you and gently that you weren’t here for mould medicine.
You told them you were just in a meeting and were told you fainted, but when Hettie continued to explain that happened tow years ago, you became frightened. You didn't know what they were talking about, or why the illusion coven head was here.
Seeing the panicked look on your face, Adrian told her to stop, and its best you got some rest. So he left you that evening, telling you he'd back tomorrow, but when you questioned why, he couldn't answer.
As Adrian walked back to his quarters, Belos passed by down the corridor, making him stop in his tracks.
"This is what happens when you can't follow orders Graye. Disobey me again, and I'll make sure their fate is set in stone."
He slunk down the corridor. He failed a mission, and you were being punished, Belos just barely allowed you two together when he saw a difference in his work, but warned that if he failed, he would be punished. Adrian didn't sleep that night, every time he closed his eyes, nightmares filled his head.
The next morning, Adrian came to your hospital room, looking slightly more dishevelled than he usually does. You asked if he was alright, but shut it down, telling you he was fine. Over the course of the day, he filled you in on everything, at first you didn't believe him, but seeing the way he acted and the way he talked about old memories, convinced you, so that evening he took you home, to get you back into some form of normality.
Adrian summoned the construction head witch to create an extra bedroom and shower for you, so to not make you uncomfortable, but to hopefully trigger some memories or at least t get you used to your old life again. You looked around Adrian's room, the colour blue splashed everywhere. But you saw photos, missions, or even nights out of you two together. You held them in your hand, but you just didn't feel anything or a sense of remembrance.
Soon, months flew by, Adrian, still determined, you became close again, like friends, but he started to worry if this was what you wanted. He asked you one night if you still wanted to live with him, have time figure things out for yourself, feeling like he was keeping you prisoner here. But you chose to stay, telling him that although it's been small things that came back to you, you knew there's something about him that made you want to stay.
He accepted your response but always held that offer out to you, which you understood.
You said good night to each other, and closed your door, leaving him standing in his living room, hands in his pockets. He sighed and turned to play some music and tapped his foot along to the beat. It was your favourite song. He played it from time to time when you were asleep.
"I feel like I've heard this before."
Your voice pulled him from his trance, and he turned to you, slowly walking closer, fiddling with your hands.
"It was your favourite. It's a nice song, isn't it?"
"It's beautiful."
"We used to dance to this all the time" He rest a hand on top of the speaker, as you stood next to him.
"We can if you like? Dance to it I mean."
He stared at you, but nodded. You took his hands and gently swayed, you leant your head into his shoulder and took the lead, much to his surprise. He wrapped his tail around your waist as you moved, with him following your movement.
It was enough to give him something to hold onto.
