Update:  Having poked around Runner’s World for a bit, I have come to the conclusion that I’m probably fine to run once a week as long as I’m cautious, slow, keep it short, etc.  I have also come to the conclusion that I need to up my deep breathing exercises to twice a day because holy shit you can lose your ability to breathe from your diaphragm? Not fucking doing that!  Not doing it.

My wife and son are still testing negative for COVID which is *great* but that means I am on day two and a half of isolating upstairs. When in isolation it is very important to keep up a routine so as not to go too stir-crazy. I for example am making a point of changing out of my nighttime sweatpants and into my daytime sweatpants, and transitioning from reading smut on my phone to reading smut on my tablet.

my 11 year-old niece called to check on me 😭, my mom’s been checking on me every day, my work friends and bff asked me if I needed them to get me anything, I had some emotional release/ catchup time while stuck at home, my symptoms are mild, and my quarantine ends tomorrow AM. my heart feels both light and full rn ❤️

Covid Update: Today's symptoms are bad. I had to call Healthline (national free medical hotline where you can speak to a nurse) and basically I'm on the far end of 'normal', just toeing the line towards 'go to urgent care right now immediately' soooooo yeah

I mean it's NOT unexpected? I have so many underlying conditions that are exacerbated by covid. (This is why I spent nearly THREE years locked in my house bc we KNEW if I got covid it would be VERY bad -- it is)

Waiting to hear back from my GP but it seems likely we'll make a trip to the ED in the coming hours or days (fml)
