this is unfortunate but -- the reveal that the upside-down-face demon is a recurring thing at ?? maybe the end of the the black tapes season 1 ?? whenever that happens, it freaked me out SO BADLY. let’s sit shiva for that show etc.

i could pick a great number of examples from wolf 359 but really let’s be real --  the season finale of w359, which i listened to lying down in the back seat of my car in the parking lot of my job and had to text my boss that i’d be late because i was full-body sobbing uncontrollably. some day i will actually be able to like, relisten to that show in its entirety but that day has not come yet.

Three sentence fic prompt: 5 am au, u know who

so as proof of the fact that i DID actually start writing this even though i haven’t done very much, here. not so much a three-sentence prompt response as a sneak peek.

“Courfeyrac,” Enjolras hisses, prodding his shoulder. “Wake up. I need to talk to you.” 

“No,” Courfeyrac says into his pillow. 

“Wake up,” Enjolras repeats, trying not to sound desperate and certain he’s failing. “I made it weird.” 

“Shut the fuck up, holy God.” Courfeyrac half sits up, glaring. His hair is standing on end and his eyes are venomous. “If you’ve sent another irately worded email to the mayor’s office in the middle of the night, we’ll deal with it tomorrow. It’s three in the morning. Weird can wait.” 

There is no easy way to say this, or even begin to. Enjolras is already wishing he hadn’t woken Courfeyrac up at all. Wishing he hadn’t let Grantaire run, hadn’t waited so long to follow, hadn’t come up at a loss for words. Hadn’t even - 

But no. 

He isn’t wishing he hadn’t done it. And that’s the greatest surprise at all. He can still feel the pressure of Grantaire’s mouth against his own, a memory of heat and the scrape of his unshaved chin. The look in his eyes. The tremor in his shoulders. 

One deep breath - and he leans into the fear of clarity. When he says something aloud, it means he stands behind it. That’s the only way forward. 

“I don’t mean emailing the mayor’s office,” Enjolras says. “I mean kissing Grantaire.”

Top 5 fav things you have written

you’re making me compliment myself and i don’t like it. everything i’ve ever written immediately flew out of my head. 

the sam & oliver sections in superstition (which include the episodes in season 1, and the weird interlude episode in s2 that was secretly about sam seeing a black dog in his old age)

this scene about eli & sonny, where eli is pretending to be an actor pretending to be hamlet

my two favorite episodes of superstition (other than s/o stuff) which are 1x01 and 1x10. intentionally meant to mirror each other. i still love this line: “People say that the past is never really in the past until you’re dead. Maybe not even then. Because if there’s anything I’ve learned since I crossed the state line into Arizona is that just because something’s dead doesn’t mean it’s gone for good.”

the holmes/watson i wrote recently! because i feel like i really captured them and their relationship over time, AND it was funny and sweet and sad all at once.

his mind’s a blur of work - half-finished agendas - that running to-do list he mentally updates on the half hour when he’s in the middle of something pressing, and something’s always pressing - the slow-simmering anger - the almost urgent need for caffeine and the triple-shot he’d ordered without hearing himself until the voice stops him. he doesn’t know why it stops him but it does, the gravel in it, and when he looks up the barista is watching him expectantly. bright, bloodshot eyes in a tired face, jawline and five-o-clock shadow, wild hair, an expression that stops everything else for a long and strange moment. 

“sound it out,” enjolras says, surprising himself, and he’s rewarded with the slow slide of a sardonic grin.
