His sprites were traced off of Cody Hackins from 1-2. His little puffed-cheek sprite screamed Jin Ling.

(NASA announcer voice) Aaaand we have soundtrack. I thought Luke Atmey's and Furio Tigre's themes both suited Jin Ling pretty well. Other contenders before I decided on Moderato 2004 were Allegro 2002 and Investigation - Middle 2002.

Will take a break from these for Art Fight probably but they have been sooo fun to make. Plus I get to show off my objection.lol skills outside of stupid discord arguments.

My favorite ost from anything ever. When I first heard it start to play as I watched itsay I KNEW I’d need to look the song up bc I was instantly hooked. It was my top song in 2021 and is generally a favorite song of all time (as in even outside of ql osts)

産声 - omoinotake (cherry magic)

All around a great song, a real ear worm. There were even two other omoinotake songs I listened to after I heard this that I also love! If I discovered it outside of cherry magic I’m sure I would’ve loved it too

何妨 - jia jia feat 茄子蛋 (HIStory 3: trapped)

No ql ost discussion is complete without THIS. I just love the vocalizations between the two singers and the instrumentals too! It stands out as very unique from other osts I usually hear. A top choice by far

Something different from when I first made my bl ost poll lol! I hadn’t seen utsukare at the time but now that I have it’s Consumed Me and so has the ost. I love how the lyrics match the series so well but it’s also just a great song on its own. I find that I tend to really like osts from Japanese qls

เพลงรัก - gemini norawit (my school president)

Of course I can’t complete this without a song from the literal musical bl. I love so many msp songs but I’ll choose hook as a fav for the hype I felt for the release after we heard a bit in the credits. Gemini is a great singer and I’m so happy he got an ost despite not being a part of chinzhilla in msp lol

Yes I’m doing an extra sixth one for this. I actually quite like the love sick soundtrack and this might be my fav out of all of them. This particular ost is a cover and the original song by better weather came out over a decade ago. I noticed it again (as the original) used in the cherry magic Thailand trailer which I thought was fun :) anyway, I keep getting it stuck in my head

Does anyone know what is going on with the Untamed OST Companion Album (the one with the character songs) on Spotify?

Because when I listened to it today after a while I noticed that the Bibi Chou version of Wuji and Jin Guangyao's character song (Duo Hen Sheng) have been changed into different versions from what they originally were on the album 😶?! The ones there now are quite different, and even if they are nice, they just feel...weird 🤔 (I loved the originally included versions, which are still, luckily, on YouTube in the form of the official MVs).

9. What's your all time favourite movie/tv show?

Fav movie is The Handmaiden for sure. No other movie has ever come close to me i absolutely fucking LOVE that movie. It's everything to me <3 My COMFORT movies tho are Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Little Stitch and Anastasia... So they have a special place in my heart. Don't have one single fav series tho, even though i watch series more often than movies... Some series I adore would be The Untamed, Word of Honor, Utena (the anime), Sense8, Hill House, Black sails, My School President, Cherry Magic, Kieta Hatsukoi and Not Me. My fav series currently airing is Our Dinner Table.

12. Your favourite music genres?

I really do listen to a little bit of everything, but I guess MPB, rock in general (pop rock, hard rock, indie rock, j rock etc), symphonic metal, blues, jazz or bossa nova if i'm feeling romantic... It really depends on the mood. Like i actually do love latine pop, brazilian funk, raggeaton and samba, and even the ocasional kpop, but i only really listen to those when i wanna dance, u know? Like it's not something i would go for when i'm just walking around running errands or on the bus. I do listen to pop rock and metal when just running errands and commuting tho. Cuz i'm always on the mood to be a little emo lufihasduihfsdfuh

Thangamey - Paava Kadhaigal

I can't stop screaming about Paava Kaidhagal enough, and this episode was so emotional. I love this song so much, and it is a beautiful song but I still feel so much pain listening to this. When this starts playing on shuffle, it always a bittersweet feeling.

2. เพลงที่เพิ่งเขียนจบ (Our Song) - Bad Buddy (Nanon Korapat)

Of course I was gonna include this. There is no way I was gonna leave this out. It is my baby's song from my fave series. It is special. I still remember not being able to process the song when it came out during episode 11. Like I could not watch the MV after the episode. It was such an emotional attack. I would have also included Just Friend?, but I could not find the rock version the both of them did for OhmNanon1stFM. That version of Just Friend was always be on another level!

3. 不忘 - The Untamed (Wang Yibo)

The whole CQL soundtrack is beautiful. But this is my favourite song from the OST. Yibo's voice is just so beautiful and it goes straight to your heart. He brings out LWJ's emotions so beautifully.

4. รักษา (Healing) - My School President (Gemini, Fourth, Ford, Satang)

MSP is a musical, and all the songs are beautiful! But my absolute faves are Healing and Come Closer. I'm adding an alternate version of Come Closer below instead. The way all their voices mash so soulfully here!! And I love the lyrics.

5. จังหวะตกหลุมรัก X อีกนิด (Magic Moment X Come Closer Mash Up) - Beluca Concert (Tay Tawan, New Thitipoom)

This might be cheating. But I do love Come Closer alot, and I love this mashup version of it so much. So I am linking this. Ford's voice texture is so similar to Tay's. So I love that they did this. I lost my mind when I heard it on the stream.

years later we still get new filming tidbits and this is one of them. A lyricist for CQL OST shared this story ( actual post / this is her weibo ) The producer came to her house during the late stages of CQL when it was not yet broadcast for the music. When the producer saw the scene where LWJ finds out about WWX’s golden core, He said the the script did not require LWJ to cry after WWX fainted. However during the actual shoot, WYB shed tears on his own and completed the scene.

This is further explained by Rufeng ( if you know her, you know. If not, she was part of CQL production ) who said they asked if they should make the scene so that there is no tear but they kept it. It’s one of the scenes in CQL that broke my heart. The best. I can’t imagine if they edited that out and make it look like he was not crying. So I guess it’s really true that Yibo’s acting in this drama is his “true feelings” ( zhenqingshigan ) .

and apparently, it’s a scene that he loves too. Yes Bobo, you are handsome in it. 😊
