When remodeling a large old kitchen, turn one corner of it into a place for a favorite hobby or craft. This area has become a workroom for the gardener-herbalist who loves to grow exotic plants, dry flowers, and create handcrafted items of beauty from dessicated stalks, leaves, and brambles.
The costume pieces have been mounted, and now I can't get over how frickin cool it looks! Also, it's finally out of the way, and the mannequin is free to be used for something else other than storage!
Mom and Dad came over and watched T while I repainted this green wall to purple.
I liked the green and gave it a fair chance but it never worked with my lighting and furniture. I dunno if purple will, and I'm terrible at picking colors for walls. But it's definitely way less jarring in person already than the green. And the reflected lighting in that whole end of the room is more pleasant and less, well, green.
Mom also wrangled T last week while I cut the baseboards, so after this paint dries I will finally put those on. It's only been what, a year since the water leak?? 😂
