Welcome back to this blog, happy to see you! May I request either Eaglefeather or Cranerush ? They (and their dynamic) used to be my favorite.

Honestly? They’re my favorites too. I think about them all the time, way more than my actual protagonists tbh. I really like their dynamic and they’d be very fun to write if I ever actually did that. Their character arcs have some pretty heavy stuff going on. I think they’re excellent foils and I made them to basically be warnings of what happens when you have blind faith. They’ve got some very mixed feelings about each other

Piercing emerald eyes stared back at him, unwavering. Her claws glittered in the dappled light, shadows covering her snarling face.

"Please, Eaglefeather, you don't have to do this," Cranerush begged. He tried to swallow his fear, but it made the words come out in choking breaths. He could feel his bones rattling under his skin.

"You know I do," the golden tabby hissed. "Look at what he has done to us."

Cranerush looked down at his shaking paws. He knew Willowstar was a cruel leader, but StarClan had granted him his nine lives. Who was he to judge his ancestors? "I can't let you defy StarClan. If you want to kill him, you'll have to kill me, too."

Eaglefeather snorted. Was that a glint of sympathy in her eyes?

"Fine," she growled. She raised her paw back, ready to strike.

Cranerush, warrior of SunClan

No known kin

If there were one word to describe Cranerush, it would be “coward.” Cranerush is nervous, easily spooked, and ready to turn tail and flee. Most cats don’t trust him in battle. The only reason Willowstar picks Cranerush as his deputy is for his sharp intelligence. The grayish tom has a talent for organizing battle strategies, understanding behaviors of prey and potential predators, and picking up on other cats’ thoughts and feelings. Willowstar uses this to his advantage, and keeps him very, very close so that he can always be passing on information that he can use to his advantage. Eaglefeather always looked down on Cranerush, but never harbored any ill will to the tom until being named deputy, where she became jealous of his position. She even challenged Willowstar over the decision. Despite bearing the blunt of Eaglefeather’s anger, Cranerush has a lot of admiration for her, as she is brave, strong, and has an iron will - all things he does not have.

If Yarrowkit had survived- how would the story have changed? And who would Yarrow & Bristle & their mom turn out to be if Willow never killed him?

Bristle would have a more grounded support group from their family to help them with their trauma. In the canon timeline, since yarrow is dead and dandelion becomes closed off bristle has no one but eagle to turn to, and while eagle loves them, she is not a good influence. If yarrow lived he would have been a very patient cat with a strong moral compass that could balance out bristle's more temperamental personality. They could figure out what eagle wants to do isn't right and convince her to choose a better path. Maybe cranerush would have lived too. Ultimately I don't think there would be much of a conflict if yarrow isn't killed. His murder is a catalyst for many events

🍅 she's not very easily embarassed as she takes great pride in what she does and plans things out meticulously. She doesn't like talking about Cranerush, especially after his death

💧 one thing she's really ashamed of happens in the story and is pretty spoiler-y so I'll avoid that for now! Another thing she's ashamed of is following Willowshade and supporting him as he becomes Willowstar since he ended up not doing anything he promised to do. Thinking about him makes her furious

🐟 kind of your generic kit. Very excited to train as an apprentice and become a warrior. However she tended to play more rough than other kits and had a hard time empathizing with others. Despite that she still showed promise as a responsible warrior even as a kit, she just wasn't as sociable

🔮 she believes her best trait is her sense of justice. She believes what she does is for the good of the Clans, but we see that those things really aren't that great. Her best trait is her ambition and devotion to her goals. She is capable of planning out in detail was to do to get the results she wants. This does cause her to be trouble of course, but she has also done good with it. She knows she is flawed and doesn't explicitly hide them but she doesn't like to talk about them. She wants to look strong for her Clan

Cranerush is such a cutie. Does he have any friends? If so, who are they?

Cranerush is super quiet and dedicated to his work as Willowshade's deputy when he becomes Willowstar, so he doesn't spend a lot of time socializing, but he does have a few cats he likes to hang out with! He gets along well with Dandeliontail, Finchface, Paleshadow, and the medicine cat Raccooneyes (who I dont have a ref for yet). So cats that are a fair bit older than him. He also has a sort of admiration for Eaglefeather, although they are not friends by any stretch and Eagle even kinda looks down on him and they butt heads on a lot of things

Out of your oc cats, which is your favorite (or top favorites if you have multiple)?

Well, I of course have to put my protagonists (lichenstrike, cottonthroat, dustfern, and webfoot) up there but I really really like Eaglefeather and Cranerush. They have a really cool character dynamic imo and their personalities give me really fun expressions to draw! I also really like drawing their markings. If I'm doodling my ocs it's usually eagle or crane
