Art by @decodingkunst Turbulent Emulsions This one will always be very special to me, as I designed it for my PhD thesis cover (I used the second one in this series). After days of grappling with terrible ideas for a design, I stumbled upon this which saved my neck. I had also planned to have 150 unique covers for each copy of the thesis, but alas, that turned out beyond my budget. Sharing a few selected iterations here. The algorithm is simply a Perlin flow field (rendered with opacity stacking of particles) coupled with an obstacle avoidance routine on a random circle packing.
