After so many movies reviewed, this one really leapt at me. I think because I can’t really tell what it is. A lot of it is subtext and open to interpretation. Is it cathartic? Is it allegorical to being stuck in society? Did the characters have arcs or did they remain true to who they were all along?
The violent scenes are really violent, but seldom shown outright on camera. Watch only if you can tolerate violence(against children, self-harm, non-cathartic violence).
Hopeless (Korean: 화란; Hanja: 禍亂; RR: Hwaran) is a 2023 South Korean neo-noir thriller film directed by Kim Chang-hoon and starring Hong Xa-bin, Song Joong-ki and Bibi.

Vigilante
A story about a student in the police university giving justice to those who were wronged. While going against the law.
This series has a total of 8 episode out of which 4 have been aired.
I mean a cop being a vigilante. And the two major twists and the cliff hanger they left us with.... 🤌🏻.
This show gets up close with all the graphic scenes. A lot of them. If you are someone who can't see much violence. This one is not for you.

But for the thriller fans ( like me) I am so far liking the show. But I have a feeling that a lot of things are hurried up. It may be due to the number of episodes.
Okay the part that I loved the most was how they used the darkness well for shooting the scenes. Beautiful.

SPOILER - Also this is the first show where the person chasing the vigilante knows who he is.. yet does not caugh him. Like wth is going on? At this point I have no predictions. I thought he would get away with it. ( which he did) but something tells me there is more to it. Awaiting the next episodes.

This duo. I don't know what else to name it. It's a good one. They are both smart, cunning, proud. They know of the situation well and make the best out of it.
I am interested to see where this goes.
Tumblr media
I have seen this actor in Weightlifting fairy Kim Bok-Joo and this character if a full 180 of that one. Complete opposite. I am glad to see him in this way. Though I would like to know more about him. It seems there is something left to know about the character. I hope the coming episodes will let us know more.
