It’s time for shitposting friday!
Male love interests of my novels (WIPS and published ones), ranked in order of “Oh babygirl, there is something wrong with you”
7. Heka “Deer Knight” (Married to the Evil Wizard King) : Actually doing pretty well? Is a construct created like two months ago, didn’t have time to pick up a lot of trauma yet. The most stable guy in the lineup, an absolute pillar of mental health and zen. 1/10
6. Caspian Sterlet (Space Academia) : LMAO. Lol. Messed up but in a “the author thinks this is funny” sort of way. 2/10 absolute white man failing up mediocrity and the best part is that he’s aware of it.
5. Adrien (Skin Deep) : You guys watched Leverage? He’s like Eliot Spencer level of fucked up, but like pretty stable on average. 4/10 traumatized but he’s acting normal about it.
4. Lie Ingelf (Crimson Vines) : oooooh baby. Now here’s some crunchy trauma, but compared to some others on this list he’s handling it fine. 5/10 He and Adrien are having a beer and absolutely not talking about it
3. Zeta Greenshank (Space Academia) : Oh babygirl there is something wrong with you! (Affectionate) (Compliment). Not in terms of trauma but in terms of he thinks he’s the main character of the x-files and he refuses to be normal about it. Daniel Jackson pre-SG1 core. Absolute chaos gremlin man 10/10 funniest dude at the party
2. Eltanin “Evil Wizard King” Darkmore (Married to the Evil Wizard King) : whoops fucked up backstory and 1000 years of self-imposed solitude to escape a curse go brrrr. Has feelings and doesn’t know what to do about it. 10/10 would bully again.
1. Archibald “Jim” Montgomery (Four Liars in space) : Absolute poor little meow meow, incredibly fucked up, trauma up the wazoo and he’s NOT dealing with it, was once described as “now there was a man that needed to be buckled into a harness and told what to do for an hour or so. He looked like he desperately yearned to escape the pressure of inhabiting his own brain.” 11/10 no notes

Did you see that someone made vines of your Crimson And Noire AU? It's on YouTube and I think the title is "Almost 2 Minutes of Miraculous vines but it's Crimson And Noire AU"
Ooo!!
My favorite has to be the "Daddy? Do I look--" one with Ezra and Adrien. xD xD Also Alix, Kim, Apex, Cottontail, and Speedstar was gold too. xD And the one screaming into a jar, someone give Mari a hug--

HC I made where the egg is a chrysalis of sorts :)
Bad thought that the sudden appearance of red vines had nothing to do with the egg- no, that was incorrect. He hoped it had nothing to do with it. But as he stared in horror at the thing that had now been opened, he knew that it had everything to do with the strange creature that had been spotted.
The entire side of the egg had been... ripped, yes, that was the best way to put it. A gaping slit ran the length of the egg, with scraps of the papery skin littering the floor beneath it. Upon closer inspection, the inside of the egg was hollow, and a dark, dried substance that Bad hoped wasn't blood coated the inside. The same substance coated the ground, with footprints leading out of the puddle that had formed around the egg. Human footprints.
They scared Bad the most. Whatever had come from the egg was clearly not human- everyone who had seen it had said that it had had four arms and distinct, moth-like wings- but it was clearly human enough to leave perfect footprints, leading along the ground before fading from sight. Bad shivered at the thought of some moth-human hybrid stalking the smp by night. While he was no stranger to the hybrids that walked the smp- hell, he was a demon himself and had a cave dweller for a husband- the idea of this weird, mutated, night dwelling moth that had quite literally come from the egg made unease set in his gut, heavy and bitter.
A funny feeling itched at the back of his brain, his instincts screaming at him to turn around. So he did- and froze.
Two pinpricks of red stare at him from the darkness, fixing him with a gaze that freezes Bad to the spot. Bad doesn't know how long he stands there, matching the calm, red gaze with a frightened stare. Then the eyes vanish all at once, sucked into the darkness like a light being switched off. And Bad comes to his senses and runs.
That night, when he's dwelling anxiously in his and Skeppy's house- right, it's just his house now, Skeppy hasn't been there in months- he can't stop thinking about the calm, red- eyes? Were they eyes? Bad isn't sure. But whatever it was, he doesn't like what could potentially be the body that those eyes belonged to.
He glances out the window, almost half heartedly. Then he freezes. On the path, staring into his house through the wall length window, is a shape. From the bottom, it looks human- well, it has two legs anyway. But its torso is a lump of darkness, and there are two shapes like feelers that sit atop the thing's head. And those eyes are staring at him again.
Bad wants to run, to hide. But his curiosity gets the best of him, and instead he moves, albeit cautiously, towards the door and out into the night.
It's still there. It doesn't move as Bad approaches it, simply watching him. Waiting for him, as it becomes more and more visible.
The person is pale against the darkness, and appears to be wearing some kind of red suit jacket with a tail, a black dress shirt underneath. But what's even more unnerving is the two extra arms that are under the two normal arms. And, of course, there are two, crimson, moth like wings, speckled with white. Red hair curls around the moth-creature's face, past its shoulders and ending shortly before the wings began.
Bad wants to speak to it, to ask who it is. But he can't form the words.
Silently, without breaking eye contact, the creature puts one of its arms, the one that should be there, into a pocket in its jacket. Equally calmly, it pulls out a handful of seeds, which it throws in the bush behind it. Bad watches in horror as the bush shrivels and dies, replaced by the choking, red vines he knows oh-so-well.
The moth tilts its head to the side, and Bad swears it's smiling. Then it turns and walks away, vanishing into the shadows. Bad is left alone, staring numbly at the spot where it had been swallowed up by the darkness. Then, once more, he turns and runs back to the safety of his house.
