Crimson Peak “Henry Lee” AU: For years Sir Thomas Sharpe indulged Lucille as a lover, but when he meets Edith Cushing he comes to know what love truly is. While Lucille attempts to seduce him once again, Thomas stands firm and declares his heart belongs to one superior to her...and learns the true depth of Lucille’s mad passions.

So I don’t know why, save love of the film and love of the song (and its singers - PJ Harvey & Nick Cave 😍), but I got inspired to make this. Honestly I think the two fit together in their own way; like the AU would work, you know? At least to me, haha! Either way, enjoy!

Crimson Peak as Told By My Dad

My dad is back at it again. And this time, he’s telling you exactly what Crimson Peak is about. I apologize for the length, but it’s completely worth it. Enjoy, and once again, the best is in bold. @crimsonpeaksecrets

“The main girl was narrating about her childhood, and the existence of ghosts, and how her mom died from cholera, and she was too hideous to look at so they had a closed casket. One night she was sleeping in her bed, and she could hear noises down the hall, so she looked away to her wall, and then she rolled back over, and she saw an image. So she turned back away, and the image spooned her and warned her ‘Beware of Crimson Peak’.

Twenty years later, she’s a young adult and apparently an author. She’s writing a romantic tale of ghosts and such. She goes to some editor and he says she needs to do something else, take it in some different literary direction. So she collects her stuff and goes to her dad’s work to ask to be able to use the typewriter-that way they can’t base it off of gender due to her handwriting. She’s jammin’ on the typewriter, and in saunters Mr. Hiddleston thinkin he’s all that again. He starts acting flirty and looks over at what’s being typed. Somehow, he’s read pages of it already and is like, ‘This is an amazing story! Whose is this?’ And she’s all, ‘Oh, is it really good? It’s mine…’

He’s trying to solicit money for this stupid clay digging machine. He’s like a fisherman out there looking for his next catch. And when I say catch, we’re talkin about a big ol’ money bag. He goes into a meeting with the board of trustees and starts pitchin’ his deal but the chick’s dad, Bobby, has already done his homework on this guy and said he’d been in Milan or Cambodia or some place trying to solicit money. So he just shut him down.

There’s some dance or get together with this hoity toity woman, the mom of Dr….? Not Who, but someone else…. Arthur? From Son of Anarchy. The main girl stays behind to read and work on her book. All of the sudden, Thomas shows up at the door and next thing you know, they’re walking into this ball. So they perform their dance, and no candle goes out until she blows it out to make a point that it does blow out.

The dad calls them in for a private meeting and offers them a check to get the hell out of town. Thomas has to ensure he breaks her heart before leaving town. So they have a dinner party the next night, and he makes the announcement that he’s going back to England with his sister. Bobby’s daughter got upset and leaves the room, and he follows her to talk to her and says, ‘You wanna know more about your book?’ Then he just slams her about her book to ensure that it her heart is broken. Then he gets cracked across the face.

Bobby’s in his club and he hears some noise going on;he looks up, and a mysterious person grabs his face and slams it into a sink until his face and the sink both cave in.

All of the sudden, they’re in England in a horse and carriage going through the gates of “Crimson Peak”. It’s got a big ol f***ing hole in the roof. As they exit the carriage, this dog just shows up out of nowhere from the field, much to Thomas’ surprise. He’s thinkin, ‘Oh, I thought I got ridda you.’ As [Thomas] carries [Edith] across the threshold of this house, they pan back and the first thing you notice is an enormous hole in the roof four stories up, and in a nearly treeless environment, there’s tons of leaves falling down the middle into the entryway.

The sister starts dosin’ her with some tea that’s obviously not good for her. [Edith’s] also starting to see spirits and ghosts again, which are basically there warn her and try to help her see the truth to what those two are. After several visits by these ghosts, she’s freaking out, so [Thomas] says he’s taking her to the post office for some fresh air.

When they get there, all of the sudden there’s a snowstorm so they have to spend the night. [Edith] received some mail from the United States and then also some mail from Milan, to which she says she doesn’t know anyone from there. But the postal magistrate insists it’s for her, so she takes it. The next scene is them in that nice warm place, and then they get jiggy.

[Edith] is able to get downstairs without anybody knowing, and she sees a suitcase with the initials ES on it, reads the letter, then puts it together, and somewhere in the game, she realizes she’s being poisoned. She goes to find [Thomas] and confront him, she makes it all the way to his workshop, or his room, or someplace in the house, and when she opens up the door, she sees them sitting on the edge of bed and [the sister] is full on *****ing his ****. The sister gets her and tells her she’s dying anyway, and she might as well sign the money over. She does, and then they get in a fight. She runs out of there, and Thomas shows up out of nowhere. He’s completely upset and he doesn’t want to go through with this anymore. He’s tried telling her not to drink the tea anymore. He goes up and finds the papers, grabs them, and throws them in the fire. The sister realizes he’s totally in love with this woman, even though he promised he’d never fall in love with anyone else. Then Thomas received the stabbings. She stabs him once or twice in the chest, then pushes the knife through his cheek right into his flippin’ brain.

The sister’s the puppeteer in this little story.

Dr. Arthur apparently showed up because he realized something was wrong and he’s onto them since he got all the dad’s paperwork. He made his way over there and is comin’ to save her. Thomas asked him a question I didn’t understand. He points to his belly and Thomas sticks the knife there. Bobby’s daughter and the Dr. Arthur get downstairs somehow, and Thomas is dead, and the sister’s really pissed off. She wants to kill the girl, a fight breaks out, she runs up the conveyor into the snow, she’s hiding behind the equipment, the equipment starts, blah blah blah, she gets cut across the face, she somehow gets shovel, the sister makes a comment to her twice (to which after she smacks her, the killer says ‘I heard you the first time’), and the sister dies. She distracted the sister because she saw Thomas all aglow in white, with a face oozing smoke out of his cheek where he was stabbed. She goes up and touches his face and he disappears. They walk away from the house (to where, I don’t know) in a blizzard. So ends the story.”

ATTENTION ANY AND ALL BETA’S LOOKING FOR A PROJECT!! Hey guys. As most of you know, I just finished my “Dark Nights” Adam/ “Only Lovers Left Alive” fanfiction A week or so ago. And the Hob Nobs and Tea group just finished our story; “The Surrogate” which is of course and Crimson Peak fanfiction. Both of these stories need desperate beta/proof reading attention. Grammar errors, spelling errors, missing punctuation, etc. Here’s the jest of both stories, their length, a summery, and their vital details. If anyone would be interested in helping out in a beta (proof reading) role please send me a message  Both stories are completed and currently published on our AO3 accounts. Details below. Bascially, if you would copy and paste the chapter to your word program on your computer of choice (Such as my favorite, Microsoft Office/Word. Or Adobe. Or whatever your personal favorite might be you are most comfortable working with  ) and then e-mail me back each chapter that is proof read and I will give you full credit as the beta for each chapter that you help us out with. This is a huge thing and we really really need it. Some story updates were done on cell phones and ya all know what kinda tricky buggers those can be. Words and sentences go misplaced, spellings get way out of control when it decides to (Auto correct is the curse of modern phone technology). If you would be interested in Beta/proofreading for us and our completed stories, or even if you wish to beta for me personally for my stories, please contact me on facebook PM or e-mail me at my address at [email protected] and we’ll talk more. Writing is so much fun. It’s the one passion I have always loved that doesn’t feel like work. It’s always so wonderful to create a cast of characters into a story line in a world of your own creation.
