Beside the Crispy Yam with Whole Egg Yolk (酥皮单黄芋泥) that we gotten earlier, sis also bought this Delightful Reunion (团团圆圆) box of Teochew mooncakes (S$42.80 less 30% corporate discount) from Thye Moh Chan (泰茂棧). These so called mooncakes are basically just glorified versions of Tau Sar Piah (豆沙饼). An info card included inside the box tells you how to differentiate the various fillings of the mooncakes.

Yuan Yang with Salted Egg Yolk (鸳鸯蛋黄) - The combination of spicy pork floss, salted egg yolk and savoury mung bean creates a tantalising treat. As you bite into it, you get to taste the salty sweet bean paste, followed by the slight heat from the pork floss and the salty profile of the salted duck yolk.

This is the inspo I have so far!! I really like almond nails (like in the picture below) but I’m afraid they’ll be too long lol

And French tips go really well with them but oh well, I just feel like they’re so damn long and I’ll break them off lol. Plus I don’t think they’ll be practical 😭😭

My advice would be to go for blunt nails for your first time getting them, since breaking them won't be a worry, you don't hurt yourself and they don't get overwhelmingly long too fast.

omg i wish i was remotely well-versed in linguistics but alas i am not so this is going to be an incredibly limited range of languages... also i am barely bilingual more like 1.5 lingual so i can't rly speak to the language systems themselves...

5. basque - i just think it's cool that theyre language isolate that's all lol nothing deep also their cheesecake is dope 4. korean - obligatory to put here lol but it's so hard to pronounce even after being so overexposed to it thru kpop AND constant correction by my korean roommate lmao 3. japanese - it just sounds so cool ok i love their phonology or maybe i just watched too much anime growing up 2. mandarin - it's cursed how hard it is to learn even for me a 'heritage' speaker lol but reminds me of home, family, good food, etc etc. 1. spanish - it's so nice and comforting to me but also sexy as hell?? i used to be obsessed with learning it in college but then got lazy :( lol any fluency i developed is gone now </3

so I saw you asked for lip balm recs lmao so I just wanted to share my personal faves.

Idk how accessible they are in Canada (? I think you’re in 🇨🇦 if I remember correctly) since minus the Papaw ointment they’re all European brands but my personal fave (recommended to me by my dermatologist) is the second one - the bioderma ultra moisturizing balm. But the papaw cream is very versatile and you can use it on like minor burns etc. so I like that one a lot too. The other too are pretty good, definitely win the “flavor” and smell category lmao but ig that isn’t as important.

lol sorry i’m getting back to this so late, i was asleep 💀

1. What was your first group?

Kinda typical but BTS. Originally, this blog was actually going to be for primarily BTS and anime fanfic. Obviously, that didn’t end up happening 💀

3. Which kpop idol stands out to you the most?

This is kind of a hard one because there are so many artist who stand out in their own special ways to me. Though, choosing just one, I’d have to say Taehyun. His voice has a very distinct tone and range. He has wonderful stage presence and, overall, is a really big inspiration to me in terms of being a performer/musician. He’s also just incredibly funny and i love him lol

5. Favorite album?

Oo another tough one. It’s a lot easier to identify specific albums with songs I really like, but choosing just one? I’m gonna have to go with TCH: Fight Or Escape. It’s at a tie with Freeze because they have the same songs, I’m just saying FOE because it also has LOSER=LOVER and MOA Diary. The album, the concepts, the MV’s, the title tracks, the b-sides, there is just so much I love about this comeback I could talk about it for ages.

17. How many kpop groups are you a fan of right now?

For groups that I’m actively consuming content from and keeping up with, I’d say about 10. There are more in terms of groups whose music is in my playlists or who I like, but i wouldn’t really call myself a full fledged fan.

18. Who is your ultimate bias?

The one and only Kai Kamal Huening. Very much in love with him, very much lose my mind at everything he does. He’s just a guy 🤩 My bestie, my home boy, my sweet cheese.
