I saw an interview yesterday of Darren and an Australian morning show. It was lovely. He spoke about his daughter and his music. At one point he mentioned that some members of StarKid would be performing as well. I thought about the nasty (always nasty) remarks the tin hats made about them for performing with him in LA and Mexico.

I’ve never understood the hate but I’ve chalked it up to them believing he’s too good for his college friends - that and the fact they were at his wedding. But it has occurred to me that the hate has more to it than that. They cannot accept that he is loyal. Loyal to friends and colleagues, loyal to his loved ones, loyal to his fans. You see, if he is so strongly loyal then how can they explain his treatment of “the love of his life” Chris Colfer? How can he be loyal, and loving, when he has hidden this relationship for more than a decade. Truly, at this point in time, 13 years after they met, why wouldn’t he just say that he’s realized he is in love with Chris and finally come out into the open? Why is he so fiercely loyal to everyone but Chris? There are two possible answers: 1) he cares more for the money and his career than he does for Chris, or 2) the Criss/Colfer relationship does not exist.

It has never existed.

I just caught Jane Lynch on Here’s What You Really Missed pod. I believe it was during the AMA episode when she was asked if anyone was ever shocked to find out how nice she is IRL Jane responded that she doesn’t think anyone confuses real life with what they see on TV. I chocked on my coffee. We all know people who still believe Blaine and Kurt are real people living their lives as Darren and Chris 8 years after the show ended!

I'm trying to find story that I read quite a while ago. It included Darren and Chris, not Blaine and Kurt. It was set at the University of Michigan, and Chris was a freshman and had no friends yet. Darren was popular in a theater group (like Starkids) and was really attracted to Chris right away, but Chris didn't know it. It was a long story. Any help would be great...it was a great read and I want to read again! Thank you!

So I haven’t been on tumblr go awhile as I’ve been recovering from surgery. Took a look at Cassie’s site and found this. Talking about spreading love rather than hate and the two posts immediately following are nasty and hateful.

There’s a distinct disconnect here. She seems to have no self awareness at all. She and the other tin haters should do some introspection, try to find their way back to reality.

idk if it’s rpf if it’s not a pairing but I find it utterly fascinating that c*meron m*naghan (censoring so fans don’t find this idk if they’re rpf friendly) played THE gay guy of network television on shameless for 10 years and is straight irl. I commend him for being so convincingly gay for pay but like. what kind of acting did he do or therapy did he get that he could be that gay onscreen and be straight offscreen. it perplexes me greatly. and he was totally an advocate for letting his character be in a same sex relationship too like he wasn’t against it.

if I had to kiss my coworker and fake date and fake marry him for multiple years I think I’d lose my mind. this is how rpf happens! and this is why I’m not an actor.

I've spent the whole day (I mean... four hours whatever) photoshopping and editing photos to make custom christmas presents because I am out of time to get my shit organised. And watching the rpf spirals on my dash and like, on the one hand, I very, very, very much get it. I Get It. I am not immune, etc.

But on the other hand I lived through the crisscolfer era and I've seen the same kind of really fucked up toxic shit in the corners (twitter and tiktok) and like... yeh.
