oh man, this is going to be such a lame answer from me, because i don’t know anyone! i don’t follow the tags or tag my own shit; i can only name the people who i interact with who are amazing don’t get me wrong but it’s also just such a small sample! there’s my nott-fandom mentors @nonbinarywithaknife and @i-mean-nevermind; there’s some people whose meta and/or tags i love like @disasterjones and @kimabutch even if i rarely interact, there’s also my tl;dr post pal @theregoesmylurkerstatus and tons of people i just like lurking on from afar and/or debating with?? like @yfere or like... my ships passing in the night arguments with @luckthebard or petty pals @revvetha whose username makes me angry to type!! and @bravenot or my anti-swedish alliance with @fightingswedes or SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE, up to and including my random nott anons? but it’s such a small pool too, these are just people i interact with sometimes, i don’t know ANYONE, i like everyone who i can argue with, this is a bad question to ask me

43. What’s your favorite Sam ad?

THE BIRTH dramatic reenactment, for three important reasons!

1. it’s. really funny. “i bring you news from the womb!” never fails to crack me up, and neither does marisha’s 90s anime impression of laura and sam’s spot on travis impression.

2. the amazing mood whiplash from remembering this aired at the start of episode 26, the episode forever reduced to “and then molly died.”

3. it was, no lie, the very first critical role content i ever saw. for some reason youtube suggested it to me one day. i’d never seen it before, although i’d heard of it from tumblr. i had no idea what it was. i remember thinking that liam seemed like a try hard although i’m not sure??? why??? anyway, welcome to the fandom, me.

50. What CR backstory/arc/moment resonates with you the most?

the cheap answer is episode 48/49, which served as my entry into the fandom and so, obviously, that one, although i can’t think of a particular moment or arc that struck me as “relatable” as such. as for backstory… beau, lol. there is a reason i very rarely talk about beau, and it isn’t because i dislike her! it is very hard for me to look at her and her actions with any sort of objectivity, so i just… stay out of it lmao.

since it’s a been while, and c3 of critical role is airing in an hour, just a reminder that i do minimally liveblog during episodes, so if you’re not interested in that, just block the arctic watches cr tag, or cr spoilers. (i don’t tag everything new with that, mostly just what i consider really spoilery or various gifsets, etc.)

i’m not a super active liveblogger, mostly because doing so - switching between tabs and staying on one tab to type - causes twitch to become all laggy and it’s entirely possible i might not say anything at all. but those are the tags for your use.

1. How did you first discover Critical Role?

Recommended to me by one of my DMs.

2. Do you prefer the livestreams, VODs/posts, or podcasts?

I prefer the VODs because I can pause them.

3. What was the first CR episode you watched/listened to?

Campaign One, Episode One. I believe at starting at the beginning.

4. What episode have you reached in each CR campaign, or how many times have you watched/listened to each campaign?

I am halfway through my first rewatch of Campaign One, but otherwise I am all caught up.

5. What has been your biggest CR binge?

When I first started watching, I watched all of Campaign One in 34 days.

6. Do you play in a D&D campaign inspired by CR or the Tal'Dorei/Wildemount guides?

No, but I am planning to DM one.

7. Do you have any official CR merch?

So many t-shirts, the calendar, the blanket, the CR cap, the Wildmount dice, the VM D20s, and the Whitestone dice.

8. Have you ever been to a CR liveshow?

Nope.

I do Critmas on Facebook.

Not because of CR, but I have gotten a bunch of friends into it.

I usually watch alone, but my wife listens sometimes.

Usually play games on my computer or phone.

I cry to my wife.

When I started I was very depressed and suicidal, but the cliffhangers gave me a (sad) reason to keep going through the worst of it.

My predictions for the premiere that I haven’t seen anyone else say

Either Laura, Marisha, Matt, or all three will be crying before the intro is finished

Liam or Sam will make a joke about how they can all touch eachother again

New intro animation of their set being a little cottage or something idk

More props, projectors, or ambience music will be used immediately

Travis screams in reaction to Sam’s new character

Tal will surprise us all somehow with his character. We will either fall in love with them or be disgusted. Whichever is amazing

Laura will play a buff masculine character (I just feel it in my soul)
