It's that time of the year again where I look back on everything I crocheted over the past year. Looks like this was the year of the hanging plants! There were a handful of crochet things that I didn't have time to photograph bc they had sold immediately during the many markets I participated in this year, including some donut coasters, strawberry charms (final photo taken by @its.greychen !), and a variety of other plants. Thank you to everyone who bought one of these from me!! You've truly helped me embrace my love for botany, despite me having a black thumb lol. My high school self (half of my lifetime ago!?) would be so proud to hear that I'm still crocheting into adulthood. Here's to more projects in the new year!

I made beaded lizards. One for me and one for my sister. The blue one is mine and my first attempt and the pink one is my second attempt. My own pattern and fun to make except for weaving in those darn ends.

Finally had some nice sunshine to take better photos. 🌞 I’m so happy with how my partner’s scarf turned out - it really looks nice with the two colored fringe! Now I’m working on a striped hat that will match their scarf. Relieved that I finished this scarf in time for their birthday, and they absolutely love it! 🥰

I wanted to show off my improvement from my first scarf made to my second scarf. My scarf is the pink, red and purple striped scarf without a fringe, instead I did a border. I made that first, in late April this year. For the fringe scarf for my partner I made it in two-ish weeks in October.

It’s very satisfying to be able to make clothing and blankets for fall and winter so we can stay warm and cozy. One of these days I’ll try my hand at doing a shirt, but for now I’m content with making outfits for my favorite stuffed animal.

My crafty people I need help!

One of my co workers is expecting soon, and I was thinking of making a teddy bear. Nothing too crazy. Just a classic brown bear with embroidered eyes and nose to make sure there aren't any small pieces.

My big question is: what is the best yarn to use for a plushie for a newborn? Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.
