Lil I'm ready for all the soft domestic Crosshair in the universe

“You need to sleep.” Her warm voice comes as a murmur against his temple, there in the blissful silence as he lays reclined back on the sofa with a baby draped delicately over his shoulder; which, speaking of sleep, the one-week-old Ramser’ika is unbelievably sound in. Crosshair nearly hums at the contact but it’s already gone as Delana is circling around in front of him. In the thick shadows of the living room, Crosshair can make out his wife’s silhouette with ease.

“I’ll sleep when I’m dead.”

The chrono just shy of 02:30, Delana chooses to ignore him. “It’s time for him to eat,” she supplies instead.

If it were even possible, Crosshair’s grip on his newborn tightens even further.

“You can have him right back,” Dee inveigles, and he doesn’t miss the amusement in her voice. “C’mon.”

Crosshair feels just a bit like a kid being asked to hand over his most prized possession - in which case, is his newborn son. With utmost petulance, he transfers over the itty-bitty Ramser’ika, and stands so that Delana can take his seat.

“I’m not going to sleep,” he voices needlessly, in his defense; the overwhelming desire to ensure to himself (and his wife) that he will be right here, by her side through the night.

Delana feigns an exasperated sigh, but he can hear the smile, the oh-so tired smile playing on her lips as she eases herself carefully - mindful of her surgery scars - down onto the cushion. “I hope your son doesn’t inherit your stubbornness.”

Crosshair’s got a sure, steady hold on her. Through the exhaustion that’s currently a conduit between them, he has to chuckle. “My devilish charm, maybe.”

“Mm. Maybe.”

Crosshair presses a kiss to her forehead as she settles back, and he silently waits for a cue, any cue - more specifically, as to when he can find himself cradling his son once again.

“If you’re not going to sleep,” There it is. “Make yourself useful and come hold me.”

Crosshair’s movements are immediate as he takes up a spot next to her on the couch, bringing his legs up and turning his body so that he’s long-ways and spanning across the cushions. He maneuvers his wife and child between his legs, gently bringing Delana’s head back to his chest while the baby latches onto her below. His arms worm around her middle, and settle underneath her arms, cradling Asher. “How about I hold you both.”

Need some Tech whump?

Oh Maker, this can not be happening. It can not. Can not. I am going crazy.

Please tell me this is a nightmare, and I will wake up in Kamino. That Crosshair is with us, that Echo did not leave. This is a terrible dream, and I will be awake in our barracks, and life will be normal.

Tech, 'Good Enough'

Quick sketch I did this morning in between bouts of grant writing.

I sat on this fic for a while. I wanted to write Tech's perspective from the first part of Far Past the Ring, where he finds out massive news, and a world-ending betrayal happens.

I wanted to get into Tech's head, deeper, and this was it. But oh wee, it's a roller coaster. There's hope, fear, anger, joy, rage, and sheer, unbridled grief.

Hi, it's me again with another theory cause I'm an overthinker ! Phee theory it is.

Let's put all the Tech and Phee situation aside. I personally have nothing against the ship and Phee. She's an amazing character and a boss lady. Tech deserves happiness. I enjoy her character as much as I enjoy Cid. That's why she's intriguing to me.

However, I don't trust neither of them. I don't trust anyone except for Rex when it comes to The Batch.

I just feel that the writers are trying really hard to misdirect us. Away from Cid and Phee's true intentions.

So let's compare. We have ☯️ situation here.

Cid

From the start, she was shown to be kind of mean, dislikable, morally grey character and all she cared about was her business. The subject of "trust" has been mentioned many times between The Batch and her and we know it's definitely not there.

In the episode (that people call a filler episode) "Faster", we had a chance to see more of Cid. We found out she has a low key dark past. We heard Millegi's advice to not trust her.

With her The Batch was always busy, going on missions with their guard up. They were always ready for a fight.

Now we see they decided to cut ties with Cid due to her denying them help on Makko.

Phee

When Phee was introduced, we immediately fell in love because we met a cool pirate lady, who doesn't take anyone's shit and she gave all the deserved attention to our man Tech. She's doing God's work.

Another filer episode "Entombed" where Phee taking them on a mission to look for a treasure. We could see more of her and her amazing stories. Omega absolutely adores her, she's like a cool aunty. She's all smooth and awesome. Sweet.

Now we have her helping The Batch. She took them on Pabu, where she made them feel safe and relaxed. She showed them a place to stay.

What a nice contrast, isn't it?

Also quick note : Those "filler" episodes are not fillers in my opinion. They had a purpose – to mislead us even more. See how all the fillers were connected to Cid or Phee?

But as I said in my Cid theory, this show taught me to pay attention to every detail and every little word.

And what made me go "hmmm" was Phee's "makes you wonder, doesn't it?" When Hunter asked why did she bring them on Pabu.

I dont trust both of these ladies, but while everyone thinks Cid will be the traitor, I think it's Phee whom we should worry about.

The writers seem to try to make us see Cid as a bad person. While with Phee, we are totally sold to the vision of her being a friend.

The moment when Phee heard they cut ties with Cid, she immediately took them on a planet that is a secret sanctuary and that Cid doesn't know about its existence.

She took them on Pabu, saying this is a place to stay. When Hunter asked her if she meant them staying there permanently, she didn't say simple yes. She used Hunter's weakness - Omega, "She seemed to like it here."

And Hunter was sold. They are now thinking of Pabu as a potential home. They are safe, relaxed and what's the more important... they lowered their guard.

Let's look at this from the "If Phee is indeed the traitor" POV. She took them on a secret planet. No one now knows the batch's location except for Phee. They don't suspect anything bad happening. So...one signal sent to the Empire, and they have the batch on a golden platter.

You'd ask, "If it's true, what does Phee gain from betraying the batch?". Maybe it would be an exchange for freedom of Pabu? Maybe some ancient good or someone of a high value to her that the Empire now posses? Treasure can be many things right?

It's true that she would endanger Pabu but Shep said they don't have any reason to come on Pabu since this planet has no valuable resources and even if they come they will be manage, whatever that means.

We all know that Pabu being the silence before the storm is a fact. Funny enough, the whole episode looked like a foreshadowing of it.

The Empire is looking for Omega. We will probably see Crosshair being sent for the hunt. He needs some information about where she can possibly be. Cid doesn't know about Pabu's existence, so she can't be the traitor, even if she wanted. She has no location to give the Empire.

Some may think my theories about Cid and Phee are too complex for this show. But are they? Meanie becoming a hero and sweet soul turning out to be a traitor is one of the most basic tropes in both kids and adult shows. Also if you think I'm reaching then scroll away idk 🤷🏽‍♀️.

At the end of the day I really hope both, Cid and Phee turn out to be the batchers' friends and will help them escape the Empire for good. But you're lying if you say theories aren't fun 😌

Sins of the Past: Sisters

Summary: A collection of drabbles set in my modern au where the Bad Batch raise Omega after rescuing her from the abusive hands of their mother. And just when Omega thought that there were no pieces of her world left to shatter, she meets a woman claiming to be her sister.

Omega was sitting in the reception area for Tantiss Gym, waiting for Crosshair's shift to be over. The rest of her brothers had been called to an emergency job by Cid. Fortunately Crosshair finished early that day, so they'd dropped her off at the gym after picking her up from school so that he could take her home later.

Omega couldn't have been sat there for longer than five minutes when she heard someone shout out across the room.

"Are you Omega Se?"

At the call of her name, Omega looked up to see a woman around her brother's age heading straight for her. The woman had just walked out of the chill out area for gym members although in her long white coat and pressed trousers she didn't appear particularly dressed for working out.

Omega had unfortunately had people coo over her before asking if she was Crosshair's little sister (usually because they were trying to flirt with him which eww). But this felt different. For starter's her brother wasn't around for them to try and impress. Plus she tried to avoid using her legal last name whenever possible. So she had no idea why this person would know her surname.

"Why?" Omega replied, hoping that Crosshair would be finished soon.

"My name is Emerie Karr." The woman who was apparently called Emerie said, her words calming stated as though they had been rehearsed. "I am your sister."

And as it had so many previous times in just this year alone, Omega's world view shattered.

Because now that she thought about it, Emerie's skin was a familiar Fett tone of golden brown whilst her sharp eyes had the shape of Nala Se.

Omega staggered backwards but Emerie followed her. Omega glanced towards the reception desk but the receptionist must've been on a break as there was no one there. And as it was three o'clock on a Tuesday there wasn't any other gym goers around either. Omega tried to remember if Auntie Aayla was working that day and wondered if anyone from the exercise room upstairs would hear her if she screamed.

"I tracked down where your brother worked" Emerie continued, her previously calm tone now inching closer to desperation as Omega tried to back away. "But as his last name was Fett, I couldn't be sure if we had the same mother or not without access to his records. So I joined his gym and I've come here every day since hoping that I would run into you!"

Emerie reached out as thigh to cup her face. When suddenly someone stood in front of Omega and shoved the women backwards.

"Get the fuck away from my little sister." Crosshair growled. Omega has never been so glad to see her big brother. She peaked around the back of Crosshair's stance to see Emerie sit herself up to her knees from where she'd been knocked to the floor.

"Please!" Emerie cried, practically begging in front of them. "I'm just trying to find my birth parents!"

"Don't bother." Crosshair warned.

Omega recognised the look her brothers eye that meant he was prepared to do anything to stop Emerie from getting any nearer. But before Omega had the chance to worry about that, her Auntie Aayla appeared standing between them.

"Why don't you take Omega home and I will deal with this?" Aparently having caught the end of their conversation. Although she phrased it as a question, her tone suggested that there was only really one answer.

Omega could the vibrations of anger through Crosshair's skin from where she clutched the back of his shirt.

But she knew that Crosshair knew, that if they stayed her brother would probably end punching Emerie. So Crosshair reluctantly agreed. Plus they were both well aware that despite her appearance, Auntie Aayla was more than capable of handling herself.

Crosshair spun around, placing a still trembling hand on Omega' shoulder and firmly but gently steered her towards the exit.

As they passed through the door, Omega couldn't stop herself from taking a peak over her shoulder.

She watched as Aayla knelt down besides Emerie who's eyes were beginning to spill with tears. And she couldn't help but think of the girl who not so long ago spent her days sitting in front of the letterbox of her old front door, praying for her brothers write back with the words we would love to get to know you.

'Who knew it would all come down to something as simple as a game of catch – with not one, but two Doctors – just moments after a not-to-be-forgotten homicidal dance montage to 'Spice Up Your Life'?

After three anniversary specials that placed us firmly and blissfully in the crosshairs of a nostalgia play, the moment we had all been waiting for, when David Tennant would sunbeam into Ncuti Gatwa, arrived. Albeit 20 minutes earlier than anticipated and bearing a new piece of Doctor Who lore which will irrevocably alter the show.

Instead of morphing into the Fifteenth Doctor, the Fourteenth essentially birthed him, atop a helipad with Neil Patrick Harris's devious Toymaker looking on with a smirk full of too many teeth. Here, Russell T Davies introduced the fresh concept of "bigeneration" into the Whoniverse.

Davies has already teased the ripple effects this will have on the show as a whole, explaining this moment has bigenerated the entire lineage, so every previous Doctor is now wandering out there somewhere in the time vortex.

"I think all of the Doctors came back to life with their individual TARDISs, the gift of the Toymaker, and they're all out there travelling round in what I'm calling a Doctorverse," he said in the episode's commentary. We'll pause here for a moment to try and process what that might mean.

Aside from the new mythos of the moment, once we could bathe in Tennant and Gatwa's magnetic chemistry, the bigeneration began to feel like a natural progression, gifting Davies the elbow room to usher in the Fifteenth Doctor with a fresh slate.

'The Day of the Doctor' told us that the Tenth was "the man who regrets", while Matt Smith's Eleventh Doctor was "the man who forgets" and even though we can see differences in Tennant's two Time Lord iterations, he was still just as introspective this time around.

Throughout the three 60th specials, we saw pained flickers of the Doctor agonising over his recent history, whether it be The Flux or the demise of a string of companions. But while Donna (Catherine Tate) tried to probe what had happened, the appearance of Mad Aunty Mel (Bonnie Langford) touched on how the Doctor's companions only ever see a brief sliver of the Time Lord's life and might then never be mentioned again.

If the three episodes, traversing from Earth to the edge of the universe and back, were all in search of closure, it seems the Fourteenth Doctor got that from a warm embrace with the Fifteenth Doctor. It was only his own self who could truly understand what it is to be the Doctor and to have lived his many, varied lives.

Like Buffy the Vampire Slayer's finale expansion of Slayerdom beyond the lonely life of the Chosen One, having another person to share that burden with transforms Fourteen into someone who can now have the one adventure he told Rose he would never be able to: live a life day after day, with the Noble-Temples.

The decision to bring Tennant back allowed a shift from a Doctor who said he didn't want to leave when he regenerated as the Tenth, to one who said it was time moments before he bigenerated. It was an opportunity to find closure for the man who has regrets and to tend to a number of the defining wounds of his recent life.

Beyond that, it seems a logical step to tie up the big, unwieldy storylines from previous seasons, to create a fresh slate for Gatwa to make his own mark unburdened by the trauma of the Doctor's recent past.

This is not to say that regenerating – or even bigenerating – is like downloading a new iOS system and jettisoning all that has gone before. But going by the episode labels on iPlayer, which has separated this new era out into its own bundle from 2023 onwards, Gatwa's Doctor is going to be a reset of sorts.

You might have now wrapped your head around that new lore, so we can start to hypothesise about how this major bisecting of the Time Lord timeline could result in some familiar faces strolling back onto our screens one day not too far from now.

But it also ushers in a new Doctor Who jumping-off point for Gatwa's Doctor, Ruby (Millie Gibson) and the brand spanking new accessible TARDIS.'

Figured I might as well start actually posting about this Au I made-

The au in question is a Star Wars modern au that I plan to one day turn into an actual fic, but as of now it's just one poorly put together chapter and a lot of brainstorming!

It's sort of a slice of life/everyone lives/happy ending story. It's centered around Boba Fett and started as a joke about his name and how in a modern setting when people first meet him they say 'Like the tea?' And he gets irrationally annoyed by it. Hence the name "No, Not The Tea" (but shortened to "Not The Tea" because removing 1 word suddenly makes it less of a mouthful)

But let's meet the characters, yeah?

The star of our show, Boba Fett, is 15 years old and the story starts with his first year of highschool. He's grumpy (your typically moody teen) and the youngest of his brothers unless you count Din (14) and he does because he's tired of being the baby. (It does have its perks, though) Din isn't actually his brother, but he and the rest of their little rag tag group might aswell be family. (Peli 17, Fennec 16, and Cobb 15)

Next up we have everyone's favorite dad, Jango Fett! (He's a very good father in this) Father of 3 boys(or so he thought) Kote "Cody" (23), Rex(19), and Boba, he has his hands full despite two of them being grown. He works as a bounty hunter (cause that's an actual profession) and his hobbies include annoying his family, and crushing on his kids history teacher. At the age of 18, he signed up to be a sperm donor unaware of just how much they would be using his DNA. Turns out? A lot. And the majority don't seem to have a good home life. He's sufficiently pissed, when he finds out.

Coming in as the eldest child of the Fett household we have Cody! (That was until 17 and Fox showed up at least) Any legal document you find will say "Kote" but people are stupid and difficult and can't pronounce it (it's exceedingly simple, really) so Cody was born. Cody is a caffeine addict (though what Fett isn't?) and will jump at any opportunity to bother his younger brothers. (He once got Obi-Wan to buy Boba a boba-tea..Obi-Wan thought it was sweet! Boba almost committed a murder. They do not speak of that incident)

The middle child that somehow became a father to twins before anybody else could even think of utter the words "grandchildren" would be Rex. It's not like it's his fault! He figured having his 8th period of his senior year would be fun. He didn't anticipate that helping his gym teacher out would involve talking a sophomore down from a panic attack. (Echo, 16 at the time. 17 when our story starts) It's absolutely not Rex's fault that he and his twin followed him around like little ducklings after that. (Fives called him dad as a joke, so Rex took it upon himself to tell Jango that he had grandkids and almost gave the man a heart attack.) It doesn't help the Echo and Fives look suspiciously like Boba- hey wait a minute! Yeah, you guessed it. Long lost kids^^

Alright speed round let's go,

Arla's kids are the Bad Batch boys(she adopted them, they have no relation to Jango. Hunter 21, Wrecker 20, Crosshair and Tech 19) Omega is 11 and her biological daughter. Her big brothers love her to death.

Ahsoka is 19 and Rex's bff.

Luke and Leia are also 11, and they're their parents (and Uncle Obi's, and auntie soka's) pride and joy. Anakin and Padme have basically adopted Han (15. Was in Boba's grade but got held back) as their own at this point.

Wolffe is Cody's age, and the oldest of his brothers (Sinker, Boost, and Comet). They were put into the system (Yes, they came from Jango's DNA) and Plo Koon adopted them. When Jango and Plo first met they exchanged numbers and gushed about their children. (There is much more to that story but that's for a later post)

Ima-gun Di is an ex war general and currently married to Keeli. These two have absolutely NO role in the story whatsoever, I just love them. Jango has only met them once and it was because Ima-gun mistook Jango for Keeli at a grocery store once.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is a tired, loving man who teaches history at a highschool and has a not so secret crush on one of his student's fathers. (He's actually taught all the Fett boy's, lord help him.)

Jaster Mereel just wants to know how his ad keeps ending up with kids. He was already confused where the first three came from but now there are 7??(Alpha-17. Oldest. Jango is more of a brother to him if anything. Fox, did not intend to be apart of this family in the slightest and that was fine up until he met Boba and they bonded. Now he's an Ori’vod?? Yeah that checks. Then of course Cody, Rex, Echo&Fives, and Boba.) Best grandfather ever.

Mando'a is a language, because I actually love it sm-

There is so much more lore to this au than I realized, and this isn't even all of it. I fully plan on posting more, and I have a lot of art that I've done for it if I would ever get around to finishing it/posting it. Feel free to ask questions, and I hope to post more!

Echo x Jedi reader

Mostly fluff. Enjoy!

(have a sketch I did of him too because he is just baby)

The War

· I led the 501st on missions fairly often, becoming good friends with them and finding a particular bond with Echo, bouncing off his strategic brain and cheeky nature. We had limited free time together, and both knew our duty and that nothing would ever come of it, but there was always a vibe there.

· I had left camp to meditate on a particularly difficult mission. Rex had sent Echo to check on me. He found me on a ridge at the edge of the woods overlooking the landscape we were heading into.

· After checking I was safe, I said I was staying here for a while. He asked if I wanted company and took a place beside me. We bonded over our feelings about being in the forces and the pressure that was on us. I briefly ran through my plan and where I was struggling and Echo provided some really smart insight. I was able to forge a plan that night that was successful thanks to him.

· When he died I felt like I'd lost my support human.

· I heard from Rex what had happened to him with the Bad Batch.

· I got the Bad Batch for a mission and Echo was there. We shook hands and shared the most powerfully grateful look.

· We sat quietly on a hill for the first time since reuniting, just like old times. We exchanged stories and he opened up about how he felt like his human side was slipping away. "So you look different. You're still Echo and that's what matters to me"

· To hear his little chuckle after so long made my heart swell. It made everything easier.

After the war

· After the war, I fled and ended up working as a bounty hunter.

· I came across the Bad Batch in an escape from a bit of shit and after Echo's insistance, tagged along for a while.

· The Batch could see our chemistry - finally seeing Echo how he used to be before his time on Skako.

· On Ord Mantell, I was playing chess with Tech and Echo was at the bar just looking at me. Hunter notices "Echo, you're staring."

· Echo is caught off guard "What? No-no." He avoids Hunter's eyes by looking down at his drunk but feels his gaze as he raises an amused eyebrow and chuckles quietly.

· "She looks at you too you know."

· He tries to brush this off, but it sticks in his mind.

· The banter gets more flirty. He doesnt realise because it happens so naturally with us, but Echo is a smooth talker.

· I'm training with Wrecker and Crosshair outside one day. Tech is on his pad (forced to get fresh air by Hunter), Hunter is sat sharpening knives in the doorway and Echo is at the bottom of the steps, staring again. I dont turn around but amid a completely unrelated comment directed to Wrecker, "Stop staring at my ass, Echo" makes him jump a little and go super red and flustered and Hunter smirks. I throw him a cheeky look before carrying on.

(When we're together I point out I noticed he watched me all the time on the front. "Don't worry I watched you too.")

FINALLY

· We were walking to Cid's bar one night when I came up to his shoulder. "So tell me if i'm getting this wrong, but, you know how the Jedi Order technically doesn't exist now and you're a deserter?"

· He looked at me and I started to head up the stairs instead of into the bar. He glanced after the Batch and then we headed upstairs and finally relished each other's prescense after years.

· We were up there for hours. Hunter could hear us pretty clearly and when Wrecker tried to go and find us following Tech's remark that both of us had been gone for some time. "Wrecker don't. They're upstairs." with a knowing look. Wrecker didnt catch on and tried to go up. "No Wrecker! I think they're... a bit BUSY." Wrecker caught on and "OOH. FINALLY."

· We came down about 4 hours later to Wrecker being very vocal about it. We laughed it off and the rest is history.

· We are like the weird auntie and uncle of the Marauder. We have slightly 'reg' conversations that the Batch don't always understand. I'll sit on the arm of the passenger seat and help him out with right hand buttons.

· We're not a big PDA couple. All we need is each other's presence. We tend to save private moments for when we think no one is watching.

· Sometimes he'll just look up at me while I'm working. I catch him and tease him a little and he doesnt brush it off anymore and embraces it.

· When one of us is sat on the steps of the Marauder, the other will sit on the step above and wrap their arms around the others neck.

I PRESENT TO YOU MY DARLING LMK OC,

Zizi :D

Her full name is Táohuā Zéi, which roughly translates to "Peach Thief" (according to google and google translate...), her nickname Zizi is derived from the word "Zhīzhū", meaning spider, and her surname Zéi, meaning "Thief"

Zizi lived around the 1900s and was accidentally caught in the crosshairs of a Spider Demon battle and got bit. She's been around for more than a century and hasn't aged past her teen years.

She's committed crimes in the past due to her uncontrolled seething rage against both the Spider Demons and the Humans for shunning her, betraying her, hurting her, and not helping her when she needed it most. She killed countless people, commited acts of thievery, and was generally a nuisance. She even hijacked means of transportation to the Celestial Realm to steal a Stone Fruit to replant it in the Mortal Realm.

If there's one thing no one- and I mean literally no one likes, it's a Spider Demon.

After escaping the Celestial Realm she was given two glowing marks on her abdomen. The top reads "Thief" and the bottom one reads "Killer"

She's softened over the years and is truly a sweet girl that wants to help and be put to good use but she has trust issues and a fear of rejection.

She used to work as an underling for Spider Queen and referred to her as "Aunty". She talks about how Spider Queen treated her like no one had treated her before: With prideful care. She bonded with her but sadly "Aunty" was ripped away from her as well.

I like to think she grows to train under Red Son and becomes good friends with him and Mei....despite some minor drama in the beginning with the Demon Bull Family cuz...y'know, they aren't too fond of Spider Demons but things work out.

Murmur

Vivi’s favourite colour is green and she takes that very seriously

Everything that can be green is

Water bottle? Green. Pill organizer? Green. Winnie’s service dog vest? Green with as many green patches as her mums could find

Ava let her pick out her “big girl bedding” when she moved from the toddler bed to a twin and of course Vivi picked a sage green flowery one

It’s pretty nice in Ava’s mind cuz she always knows what colour to pick for her daughter when it comes to anything

And her phone lockscreen is a picture of Sarah and Vivi at Disney both wearing green Mickey ears (Viv’s are princess Tiana themed <3)

Vivi was a fussy baby when it came to nap time

It was hard when she couldn’t breathe properly laying down and her nebulizer was too loud or she was in pain

During the worst of it the one thing that helped calm her down was Ava’s fish

Ava would hold her and stand in front of her big fish tank, swaying slightly as the both watched the fish swim around

And that’s why Vivi grew up with such a fascination with fish

So for her 4th birthday (and every birthday after that) she asked to go to the aquarium with her mums

The sharks are her favourite but she likes the jellyfish tunnels too cuz all the glowing lights

Crosshairs

Ava hates leaving for long cases because she knows her daughter doesn’t like change

She loves her job but she knows how hard it is on both of them

She always tries to take at least one weekend a month off

And they spend the time doing whatever Vivi wants

Most times she just wants to spend time playing with her mum there

Sometimes they meet auntie Penny and Sarah for lunch or a fun adventure

But usually Vivienne is content just cuddling with her mother and feeling safe with her finally home

Borderline

Ava was diagnosed with BPD soon after Vivi was born

It was a really hard thing to accept especially with the stress of being a mother and a surgeon

It made sense of course but it also caused her to confront a lot of her trauma and symptoms she tried so hard to ignore

And it explained way too many things Ava had been afraid to admit

The way Vivi became her entire world and the reason for her happiness

How she would swear she heard sounds that weren’t there or saw bugs crawling over her baby when there wasn’t one in sight

How she isolated herself from everyone and struggled to maintain simple relationships

Ava never wanted to admit she needed help but she knew enough about her disorder to see how it could affect Vivi

So she agreed to meet a psychiatrist every week

The first month or so she brought her daughter along

She had trouble trusting anyone else to watch her

But really it was clear that she needed her baby in her eyesight to keep her calm

That proved to be something her therapist had concerns about

Ava had to learn to let Vivi go and play and be her own little person sooner or later

Ava had work and Vivi would be fine in the hospital daycare

But it was so hard and it kept her up at night

Vivienne was HER baby, what if something happened at daycare or what or Vivi started to prefer the care staff more than her

It sounded so silly but it’s all her brain could think of

The last thing she wanted was for a split or episode to hurt her daughter though or hurt her career

So Ava agreed to take quetiapine (even though she insisted she DID NOT need antipsychotics)

And she kept going to therapy despite her hating talking about what she tried so desperate to hide from the world

But she did it for Vivi more than anything

She would put herself through any treatment if it meant her daughter would grow up in a loving and non-abusive environment

It’s what Ava had needed more than anything growing up and what she never got

And she made it clear she would never put Vivi through anything like that ever

Literally sleeping in Ba’vodu Cwoss’s bed was not planned lol, Hunter never told him to expect it, because they don’t sleep in Hunter and Cyare’s bed at home. At Crosshair and Auntie’s though, they do.

Cross comes in one evening to behold three or four Huntlings sprawled across his bed, blinking at him so sweetly unlike Delana who he’s quickly deciding is most definitely the mastermind behind this.

Crosshair somehow manages his way onto his delegated corner of mattress while the girlies fidget in excitement next to him. It was going to be a long night.

Especially when the baby decides she needs all five of her stuffed toys in the already cramped bed with them. XD Crosshair is appointed to hold one. “Mr. Papa”, he thinks. The names are constant changing.

WIP Wednesday means I finally start going at something I’ve been stewing on for a while: characters from The Bad Batch as characters from The Blackfyre Rebellion, a conflict that takes place between House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones.

It all started because, upon watching the first episode of TBB, I realized that Daddy Warcrimes Crosshair was a PERFECT Brynden Rivers/Bloodraven. Longer hair, medieval clothes, and boom. That's him. Pack it up, we're done. HBO, I'm waiting for my contract as a showrunner, thanks.

And Hunter? Let's give him the same wardrobe, drop the bandanna, color his hair silver-gold and his eyes purple and....there. There's the beautiful Targaryen bastard prince Daemon Blackfyre in all of his glory.

Oh and these guys are half-brothers, as is Daeron II, who will be played by Tech, and Aegor Rivers/Bittersteel, who is Wrecker, for sure.

The ladies? Their sisters, Daenerys (not the one from GOT) and Shiera Seastar are absolutely Omega and Emerie Karr. With Targaryen coloring. Errrybody getting a silver wig here.

I'm coloring them all in and will post as soon as I can. I needed something out of my Expanse/multiverse world and this was perfect.

The Clones as Things I Hate About Roadtrips

Rex- the amount of people who reply "with these gas price?!?" Every time I mention driving

Echo- alternatively, when people park at the gas pump and go into the store PARK IN A SPOT

Fives- accumulated trash in the car from snacks and drinks

Jesse- wrangling two dogs everytime we stop. I LOVE having them with me, however this is Artoos first road trip adventure so he's a little excited

Kix- primative rest areas

Tup- when my leg cramps up from sitting crosslegged so long

Dogma- toll roads

Hardcase- vending machine ate my snack money last stop:(

Coric- when the radio station immediately changes right in the middle of a good song because you switch over towers

Bly- can't cuddle the puppies they are in the back

99- old lady toots from my auntie

Cody- dropping my phone out of my lap a million times and it getting stuck between the door

Waxer/Boil- Kansas City

Wolffe- WHEN PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE THE PASSING LANE

Boost/Sinker- debating on just ripping the bra off because it's so uncomfortable

Hunter- when the AC is too cold, but when you throw a lap blanket on it becomes too hot

Wrecker- everyone is so damn loud in the car

Tech- the sun being at just the right angle to not be blocked by sunglasses

Crosshair- exits to go to the gas station, only for it to be on the OTHER side of the highway

Omega- "I'm bored" a million times from the kids in the car

Howzer- seeing a cute person at a rest area while your hair is sticking up in all directions

Fox- knowing if I drink anymore coffee, I'm going to be up all night.

Gregor- driving behind a semi but being too scared to go around

Things that are NOT fun with TBB

Any kind of play fight. Pillow fight? toy guns? water guns? Don't.

Cooking together. None of them are helpful or try to be helpful. Crosshair is willing to commit arson just out of entertainment. And Hunter passes out the second someone takes out a garlic clove.

Watching action movies. They will badmouth every stunt, be unimpressed and actually try to show how it is supposed to be FOR REAL making you fear for their life's.

Any kind of negotiation scenario. They are just so bad with money or bartering.

Civil Family gatherings. Only fun when you hate your family and want old Auntie Erna to die from a heart attack.

Learning a skill they already have. The only one bearable is Echo. The rest will be impatient, mean, give you trauma as a joke or be a know-it-all. not fun.
