A teaser from my next long fic!!!

Their conversation lapsed as they got to the lifts that would take them to the surface levels. There were others there as well as their small group, so not only did they not talk, but Rex ended up pressed close to Kit's chest.

His bare chest, because he wasn't wearing anything beneath his Jedi robes. They weren't touching, but it was a near thing. This close, Rex could tell he was a little cooler than him, temperature wise.

He could smell him too.

There was that scent of fresh sea air again, of salt on the wind, but it was overlain by other scents that Rex could only discern now that his face was mere inches away from the man's chest.

He smelt like ocean garbage and seagull vomit, rotten seaweed and old fish. The racoon that controlled Rex's brain got very excited, it's mangey ears twitching.

Thanks to @penguinkiwi @crowbafett and @purgetrooperfox for their very serious suggestions about what Kit Fisto smells like. Without friends to help me, I wouldn't write anything at all.

Song Stuck In My Head: so theres this bobs burgers episode where bob goes to the dentist and gets a crown and dr yap pulls his guitar off the wall and sings "your tooth's a king now/its got a crown on it" and ive had that stuck in my head for 2 days

Last song I listened to: hounds of love, ive been on a kate bush kick recently and its a bop

Last thing I googled: omg so i took the train to see my best friend and i thought i left my purse on it and the train was gone and it was 4am so i googled if amtrak customer service was 24/7 but it turned out i had just put my purse in my bigger bag and found it like an hour later💀

Dream Trip: oh jeez i feel like i always want to travel to see people specifically but im learning spanish so id love to go somewhere in latin america that has some lovely scenery where tourism isnt too predatory lmao

Anything I really want to do right now: i want to play stardew valley but im getting my oil changed in my car so im at the mechanic (also this is depressing but i want to smoke **** but im 1 week sober and it sux🫥)
