hyunjin x reader. seven minutes in heaven except you're heartbroken and hyunjin has a huge crush on you. angst and softness and slightly suggestive in the end.

part 2. say yes to me

Hyunjin's legs are aching from sitting crisscrossed for so long. The music reverberates loudly, bouncing off the walls in Changbin's house. You are all playing truth or dare, a gathering of twenty people or something. But he isn't keeping count of anyone around. His eyes are fixated on you.

You are downing your drink, nudging Chan's side so he'd pour you another shot. He understands why you feel the need to forget, to fog up your mind until the world around you blurs. Your ex Suho, the one you had just broken up with two weeks ago, is kissing someone else, right in front of you. Hyunjin doesn't care enough to see who it is, his heart clenching at the sight of the tears brimming in your eyes.

You are hurt, rightfully so. Hyunjin never understood why you've ever dated Suho. He never cherished you, never treated you the way you were deserving of. Because you were beautiful, so beautiful it rendered Hyunjin putty in your hands. Though that was merely the surface of everything captivating about you.

The bottle is spined again, and Hyunjin's breath catches when it lands on him... Then you.

"Seven minutes in heaven!" Changbin shouts and you roll your eyes, before standing up and heading first into the closet. Hyunjin follows closely behind.

He closes the door, plunging you both into pitch darkness. Your hands find his arms suddenly, gripping them tightly.

"You okay?" he asks, concern dripping from his tone.

"It's really dark," you whisper, and Hyunjin's brows furrow further.

"We should leave," he suggests, moving to open the door but you pull him back. "No, no. Let's stay."

"But you're scared."

"It's okay. You're here."

"Is this about Suho?" Hyunjin asks tentatively, after a few silent beats, and he can hear you suck in a deep breath. He knows he just hit a sensitive chord.

"Yes."

One.

"I'm sorry you had to see that," he whispers, placing a reassuring hand on your back.

"Save it. I won't make out with you," you reply, sudden anger lacing your words. Hyunjin understands it's just your walls being put up so he wouldn't dare peek behind them.

"I know," he says softly, and your hold on his white shirt tightens. You're both so close, his chest is almost pressed to yours. Can you hear how wildly his heart is beating?

"Fuck, I'm sorry Hyune," the nickname slips from your mouth, sweet and familiar. He missed hearing it. Missed what you had before Suho came into the picture. "I'm just really really hurt," you admit, tears glistening in your eyes.

"Do you want me to fight him? You know I would," he tries to keep his tone soft even though raw anger simmers within him.

"You don't even know what he did," you chuckle weakly and he shakes his head. "He made you cry. That's enough for me."

Two.

You stay silent, but your forehead rests on his chest, as slight tremors shake your body. Your wound was still so fresh, and seeing Suho tonight only made matters worse. But Hyunjin's body is warm, and his arms tightening around you feel safe. You think you can face your ex again if he's by your side.

"Please don't cry," he says, hands reaching up to smooth down your hair, as his chin rests atop your head. He's so gentle with you, so sweet, more than Suho has ever been in your relationship.

"I'm sorry, this isn't what you signed up for," you apologize, but you can't find it in you to pull away. Instead, you wrap your arms around his waist, drawing him nearer to you.

"It's okay. This is nicer." You can't see him, but you can hear the smile in his voice. His smile is always so pretty, and his perfume is making you dizzy. You've drunk too much.

Three.

"How have you been?" you ask, fingers drumming gently along his back. Hyunjin doesn't know how he managed to speak normally to you up until now. Not when you've intoxicated him, when all he could feel in this cramped up space was you.

"Good," he finally manages to say. "And you?"

"I'm good. I missed you," you admit, and his heart seems to pause within his chest.

"You're drunk," he dryly chuckles but you shake your head against his chest. "I know what I'm saying. I'm sorry for taking my distance these past few months. The truth is... I didn't have enough energy to be a good friend, it was draining me to deal with Suho."

"Don't apologize. There is nothing to forgive."

"You promise me?"

"I promise."

Four.

You're full-on hugging now, arms tightly intertwined around one another, and hyunjin thinks this is his heaven- to bury his head in your hair, to smell the sweet scent of your shampoo.

"You smell nice," you mumble, cheek resting right across his chest. "Why is your heart beating so loud, Hyunjin?" you ask curiously, eyes closed.

Hyunjin thinks if he stays silent enough, then you'll forget you've ever asked. Because he can't bring himself to lie to you.

"You smell nice too," he settles on saying. "You look really pretty too."

"Thank you, Hyune." That damned nickname again. "I think... I think you're making my heart beat faster too," you mumble and Hyunjin shuts his eyes closed. You are killing him, stabbing him, and twisting the knife deeper inside his heart. And he's allowing it because it's you.

Five.

"Why do you think he cheated on me?" you ask, voice barely audible, and Hyunjin has to try his best not to storm out right now. He had guessed it was bad, but not this horrible.

"Don't. Don't ever think it was your fault. It wasn't. It could never be. It was his," he speaks the words firmly as if trying to drill them into your mind, erasing every wrong belief you held about yourself.

"Do you mean it?"

"I do," he leans away, cradling your face between his hands. He's so gentle. his voice and his touch and his existence. How could one be so gentle to you?

"You are everything someone would ever dream of. If I were him I would..." he cuts himself off, before saying something stupid; something that would tip the scale of your friendship.

"Finish it, finish what you were saying," you plead, voice shaky and he can't find it in himself to say no.

"If I were him, I would never let go of you. I'd do everything, anything to make myself worthy of you, of your love."

Six.

"Can I try something?" you ask tentatively, and Hyunjin feels as if the world stopped spinning around him. The outside world doesn't exist anymore, all he knows is you.

"Yes," he whispers, voice raspy, and you nod. Your shaky hands reach up to trace his face, cupping his cheeks gently. You're standing on your tippy toes, and Hyunjin can feel your breath fanning over his skin, feel goosebumps burst across his body. And then, the most tender kiss, placed on his cheek.

Your lips linger, pressing into his skin and marking it up for eternity. His hands find your sides, they're trembling, but they're warm and they feel nice to you.

You gulp, before kissing his cheek again. And then, you trail down, your lips finding the corner of his mouth. Hyunjin's knees buckle underneath him. It's too much, colorful dots cloud his vision and he hasn't even drunk anything.

Your hand curls around the nape of his hair, and then you brush your lips against his neck, slowly, deliberately, as if testing the ways in which you could drive him insane. You've succeeded, he wants to say. He's yours to do anything you want with.

Seven.

"Time's up!" Changbin's loud voice rings outside of the closet, and it snaps you both out of your haze. You stumble back, fingers brushing tentatively across your lips. It feels as if your entire body is on fire, even though your kisses were innocent, tentative. But you're feeling more than you've ever did with Suho.

"Hyunjin, I-" The door pulls open, sudden light flooding your vision. You can finally see the evidence of your kisses- crimson imprints on his cheek, trailing down his neck, giving way to a flushed chest. He's so pretty. And you've marked him up for everybody to see.

"We'll talk later, okay?" Hyunjin smiles, tucking a strand of your hair behind your ear.

"Okay."

Seven minutes felt like seven lifetimes for Hyunjin. And he'd live them all with you, love you in each if you'd let him. He'd do anything so you'd let him.

❃How EXO acts around their crush❃

a/n: This is 10000% just for my own pleasure. I may have had this in my drafts for weeks... I am totally okay with all the Kyungsoo solo content and EXO ladder dropping. Totally. Super functional, delusional who?

ALSO to any EXO-L that are sharing Chen's LEAKED wedding photos. Please be respectful and either delete them or, at the very least, blur out his wife's face. Chen has gone to great lengths to safeguard her privacy, as she is not famous nor wants to be in the spotlight. Not to mention that there could be crazy sasaengs out there with ill intent. Sharing her info is basically doxing, and it is insane to me how many people shared these posts without much thought. Anyway, I needed to share my frustrations.

Xiumin/Minseok:

✾ He is a lot shyer than the other members; where most of EXO probably feels comfortable enough to act on their crushes, he is a bit more reserved. He wants to test the waters first, ascertaining whether the feeling is mutual. Whenever you are around and are talking to other people, he sits back silently, observing your reactions.

✾ Xiumin is smiling so widely around you that the other members worry that his muscles might start cramping up soon. The moment he sees you, his bubbly personality starts to really shine through, and sometimes you can't help but wonder whether this man truly is 33.

✾ That being said, from the moment that anyone offers Xiumin a couple of drinks, his confidence spikes, and he will start flirting with you. His flirting is still extremely sweet and cute; Xiumin can be incredibly charming when he wants to be.

Suho/Junmyeon

✾ He is such a gentleman around you, trying to make you feel at ease with his kind gestures. Whether it is him pulling back a chair or opening a door for you, he will do anything to make you feel like a princess.

✾ Being one of EXO's proud black card owners, he will casually buy you whatever you need. He keeps repeating that he wants to treat his friends when you try to interject. You can't completely refute it; he does spend a lot of money on the members. Yet, you can't help but feel like his gifts are slightly too expensive and excessive for 'just friends'.

✾ So. Many. Soft. Glances. Suho looks at you like you hung the moon and the stars; you catch him staring at you almost every time you look over. Conversations with him can, therefore, be a tad awkward. He doesn't always register what you are saying; he is so absorbed in watching you that he forgets to listen.

✾ The other members relentlessly tease him for it. If you don't catch on based on Suho's actions, you will definitely catch on due to his members' relentless teasing. Whenever he does anything remotely romantic around you, their faces light up like Christmas came early. The members are not subtle about it whatsoever, thoroughly enjoying putting their leader in a slightly uncomfortable position.

Baekhyun:

✾ The members didn't think it was possible, but Baekhyun somehow became louder. It is as if he wants to draw your attention simply by screaming, as he no longer has any volume control when you are around. Everyone can hear your conversation from across the room, and his laughter becomes borderline obnoxious as it overpowers any other sound.

✾ He is such a tease and a suggestive one at that. Considering he has no problem revealing intimate, not suitable to be aired on national TV, details about the members' bodies, he won't have any trouble suggestively flirting with you. Where Xiumin's pick-up lines are cute, Baekhyun's are far from it. Give this man some holy water, Jesus.

✾ He is so intense with his flirting that it sometimes crosses the line of sexy to parody, coming off as a joke. Baekyhyun has a very flirty personality and isn't above flirting with his friends. Even though he isn't subtle about his crush, he can accidentally fall into the "he flirts with everyone" category, making you question whether he genuinely likes you or is just being friendly.

✾ He really enjoys the chase when it comes to relationships. Thus, it will take him quite some time before he asks you out, simply because he likes the push-and-pull game.

Chanyeol

✾ There is nothing subtle about Mr. Park Chanyeol. The moment he sees someone he wants to date, he is going for it full steam ahead. Puppy Chanyeol is momentarily retired as he makes his way over to you; Chanyeol knows that he is handsome and sexy, and he is ready to show it to you. I hope you weren't interested in anyone else because the moment you return any of his interest, he will be flirting with you like there is no tomorrow.

✾ Internally, he is so excited to be talking to you, and sometimes, you will see glimpses of his cute puppy-like persona, especially once he feels like you are just as interested. Still, the words coming out of this man's mouth, Jesus part two. Please go and ask Baekyhun to pass the holy water.

✾ That being said, he will get embarrassed when the other members are around or slightly bashful when you return his flirting at full force. I don't think Chanyeol is used to anyone sharing his level of intensity, so once you do, he gets a bit flustered. He absolutely loves it, though. Your compliments got him grinning from ear to ear.

D.O./Kyungsoo

✾ Don't get me wrong, I adore this man to a delusional extent, but he is absolutely hopeless when it comes to communicating with his crush. He won't go anywhere near you if he can't help it; he prefers looking at you from afar. He is someone who favours being approached first over approaching you himself. It isn't that he doesn't want to talk to you; he simply isn't the type of person to initiate contact with his crush and tends to stay back when he can tell that someone else is interested, too.

✾ Even if he finds himself near you, don't expect him to have a full-blown conversation with you. He already tends to be a man of little words, but when it comes to you, he is a man of not a single word. Being around you is enough to make him happy; he doesn't really need to have a deep conversation.

✾ Nevertheless, his actions make more than up for it. He is such a gentleman, being the definition of preferential treatment. You don't have a chair to sit on? He will quietly offer you his. Your sweater got caught on something? He will silently help you get it out. Although he may not say much to you, he communicates his feelings through his actions.

Kai/Jongin

✾ If you think Xiumin or Kyungsoo are shy, you have not yet met Kai with a crush. He turns into absolute mush the moment he sees you, giggling and blushing whenever you do as much as breathing. You can't even see him because he has resorted to hiding behind the other members, preferably Sehun or Chanyeol, as they are tall enough to obscure him completely.

✾ If he somehow musters up the courage to talk to you, good luck having it go anywhere because he can barely make it through a sentence without giggling. It is obvious to everyone around him that he is smitten with you; his laughs are awkwardly loud, and his eyes are literally shooting hearts.

✾ The moment he manages to ask you to dance, his shy demeanour completely changes. His movement… His expressions… The way he is smirking at you… Maybe you should go and ask Chanyeol whether there is anything left of the holy water he borrowed from Baekyhun.

Sehun

✾ He has one of two ways of acting around his crush: either he acts super bratty or becomes painfully shy. It depends on whether he has met and talked to you before. But, if you are complete strangers, he would be so quiet, hiding in the furthest corner he can find.

✾ He will pester the members to go over and collect as much information as they can about you. They will do it because he will whine the entire night about it if they don't and, repeat with me, what Sehun wants, Sehun gets. The members try to convince Sehun to go talk to you himself, but Sehun stubbornly refuses. Bro will be playing the Maknae card harder than he ever has in his entire life.

✾ In the end, he will drag Suho with him, trying to 'casually' strike up a conversation with you. The small talk is painful, and in all honesty, Suho, with his dad jokes, isn't helping in the slightest. At the very least, it provides the two of you with a new conversational topic: the teasing of Suho.

son hyuk ( 2011 ) ୨୧ hyuk is the brother of cheri’s close friend and dancer hyesu. hyesu introduced the two when cheri was a trainee and hyuk really liked her. they dated for only a few months and are on good terms.

im sooyun ( 2014 ) ୨୧ this was a really bad situationship if we’re being honest. they had trained together and were pretty good friends. cheri realized that she might like girls but it was risky being an idol and all. sooyun wanted cheri to commit to the relationship but she couldn’t because A.) she wasn’t 100% sure if she liked girls and B.) what if people found out and ruined her career. it was only for a few months and sooyun dropped her afterwards which broke cheri’s heart.

exo’s baekhyun ( 2016 - 2018 ) ୨୧ cheri had the biggest, fattest crush on baekhyun and was a massive exo-l during her debut days and now you will not catch her even listening to exo. she had the opportunity of the lifetime MCing with him and suho at inkigayo in 2014 and they remained friends. in 2016, they released a collaboration which sparked rumors immediately. the two were incapable of staying away from each other. they officially started dating in april 2016 and were quite literally the least inconspicuous couple ever.

they continued to release duets which basically gave ARMY and EXO-Ls all the confirmation they needed about the relationship and was also the perfect opportunity for both fandoms to slut-shame her. they were so very in love and wanted to be able to tell everyone. unfortunately, time and personal issues got in the way and they broke up in april 2018.

seventeen’s joshua ( 2018 - current ) ୨୧ cheri believes that this man was sent to her by god himself. they met in 2015 during ‘run’ promotions and seventeen had just debuted. she has never told anyone how they met (she fell asleep in their green room and joshua found her.) cheri fell in love immediately, yet they remained incredibly good friends for years.

joshua was always there when cheri needed someone to talk to and her members were busy. he would take her to her therapy and other various appointments then hang out with her and her mom. at that point, they still were not dating, but cheri’s mom finally encouraged them to make it official. joshua is cheri’s everything. she truly doesn’t know what she did to deserve him.

What Exo do when they've got a crush on you

Xiumin - Shows off

Xiumin was naturally very sweet and kind and that's how he was most of the time. However, the second you appeared he got competitive and wanted you to be his. So that went out of the window and a new Xiumin was born.

Sehun was throwing a leaving party for Kai's enlistment as a thinly veiled hint he wanted the same when he left. Xiumin's eyes were on you as soon as you entered and he knew you'd probably head into the kitchen at some point for a drink so this was his time. He took off his jumper leaving him in his small tightly fitted tank top and started carrying crates of alcohol in from the garage. On the 5th one you entered and Xiumin pretended not to see you until he was right in front of you "hey Y/n, you look nice". You smiled "thanks so do you...do you need any help? That looks heavy". "Not for me" he smiled and saw you look down at his bicep. Xiumin put the crate down and made a show of stretching in his skin-tight top "so how're things?".

You talked for a while and Xiumin got you a drink, effortlessly popping the cork and acted like it was nothing even though he noticed the impressed look on your face. He then took you around the room impressing you whenever he cound. He climbed up the DJ booth to tell him your request and effortlessly jumped back down before asking you to dance with him when your song played.

Xiumin knew your favourite song so he'd already thought about how he'd dance to it. He acted as if he hadn't choreographed a dance he knew looked good on him and went with the music. "Wow you're such a good freestyler" you commented and Xiumin smiled "true but every dancer needs a partner, care to be mine tonight?" he asked holding his hands out to you. You blushed but nodded and Xiumin placed your hands around his neck "good" he told you.

Safe to say his plan was a huge hit.

Suho - Does stuff and then instantly regrets it

Suho is what we call a spontaneous romantic. He would do things that in the moment seem like a good idea and then cringe at what he'd just done. Suho figured the best way to win you over was to be nice to you so he tried to show you his support but it always went wrong.

At an award show, he was being interviewed along with Exo when he misheard the presenter. He thought she asked him to sing his new favourite song so he sang the solo song you'd recently released and got odd looks. The presenter had actually asked him what his favourite food was so Suho looked a little odd. Another time he'd accidentally kidnapped a dog for you. There was a doggy daycare at your company building and Suho knew your dog. So one day when he saw you leaving but spotted your dog still in daycare he panicked. He flew into the daycare, explained/yelled to the staff what he was doing and ran out after you. Turns out it wasn't actually your dog at all and he's stolen someone else's.

These had both happened within the same week and Suho didn't think he could cope with any more mishaps, but fate was not on his side because you were MCing at an award show that night. Before the start, Suho promised himself he wouldn't do anything embarrassing. He broke that 20 seconds in.

You walked out on stage and started addressing the crowd. You were talking quite quietly and Suho hoped you were okay when to his horror he realised you greeted the room and none of the idols replied. A silence stretched out and Suho couldn't get why nobody was reacting. Never wanting to see you upset he stood up and loudly cheered. You paused and Suho spotted some people looking at him but you carried on asking if they were ready for a good night. "Yeah! Go Persephone!" he screamed your group name and several more idols looked at him before Chanyeol yanked him down. "What are you doing she's just doing a mic check. We're not live!". Suho realised with horror Chanyeol was right and he'd been screaming like an idiot. He was mortified.

At the afterparty Suho wanted the ground to open up and swallow him. All through the award show he'd been staring at the floor replaying how bad it had been. He was only at this party to show his face, he figured 20 minutes and he could flee then you entered. Suho tried to hide. He could only imagine what you thought of him and was going to leave right now when you made a beeline for him. "Hey, how are you?" you asked and Suho smiled pretending he wasn't dying inside. "I'm good, you were amazing tonight". You blushed "thank you...I really appreciated your support. It was really sweet". Now Suho blushed "I'm so sorry I never realised you weren't live". "No don't apologise, you didn't do anything wrong. It was funny and nice. I like people who do what they think is right and aren't afraid to go against the norm. It's really impressive". "Impressive?" Suho asked and you nodded "you do it a lot and it's really attractive when men don't take themselves too seriously". Suho blanked as you called him attractive and you smiled "want to get a drink with me". Suho nodded "yes very much but let me buy it". "How about you get the first round and I get the second?" you offered and Suho nodded.

Any thoughts of leaving were now long gone.

Lay - The sweetest

Lay was kind to everyone but the guys could tell he was interested in you because he went overboard. You worked in the same building and Lay would go out of his way to make your day. He'd buy an extra coffee on his way in for you. He wouldn't let you carry anything bigger than your phone up the stairs without insisting he took it for you. He even cleaned his car weekly because you carpooled and commented on his nice his car smelt. It was cute but the guys didn't think you'd realised Lay was in love with by how clean his car mats were. So they encouraged him to flirt with you a little more. Lay wasn't sure but they told him this would work and so he decided to give it a go.

Lay saw you at an award show and hung back from the guys to come over to you. He could only spare a few seconds because they were going to perform but he managed to appear next to you. "Hey" he said and you smiled "Hi Lay" How are you?". "I'm good, I have to go perform but I wanted to let you know, you look really pretty tonight". You paused blushing "I do?" and Lay nodded "then again I think you always do. See you later Y/n" and he rushed away.

Later on after the show Lay saw you waiting at a bar and appeared next to you. He asked you how your night was and you chatted before Lay insisted on paying. "I want to treat you" he replied when you asked why and you blushed again. "Are you sure?" you asked and Lay nodded "I like seeing you smile" and he passed you your drink. You thanked him and rushed away a little flustered.

You kept noticing Lay watching you and his behaviour towards you had been so hot! You were however anxious at a guy like Lay expressing interest in you and so drank a little more than you should. Hours later your members were helping you to the car but you were the tallest member and were difficult to escort. Lay noticed you stumbling and came over "Y/n would you like any help?" he asked and you nodded. Lay took your arm and put another around your waist as he led you to the car. He flagged down a taxi for you and your members and placed you in, fastening you in securely. "Drink lots of water and rest" he told you. "Why are you so kind to me?" you asked and Lay blushed "because I like you" and you nodded "I like you too" and kissed him. Lay was taken aback because you were his crush and your members rushed to apologise. Lay told them it was fine and watched the car drive away.

His members were thrilled when he told them he'd gotten a kiss but then he confessed you were drunk and probably wouldn't remember a thing. So Lay went to sleep very dishearted, figuring you'd never be his when he woke up to a text. "Fancy getting dinner with me next weekend? I can't remember much of last night but if you meant what you said then I'd love to go out with you". Lay let out a happy squeal before texting you back. You replied back soon after and your response almost floored Lay.

"Great, hopefully our second kiss will be better than our first".

Lay would make sure of that.

Baekhyun - Will not stop flirting

Baekhyun flirts with everything and anything. Chanyeol once said he'd flirt with his reflection if it'd talk back and Baekhyun admitted he would but with you it was different. Baekhyun literally couldn't turn it off and was blatantly obvious he wanted you. What really drove him crazy is you could give it back.

Baekhyun had a sixth sense and that sense was you. His head turned before the door even opened and you walked down the corridor. Baekhyun smiled because he'd been eying you all through the show and now you were finally here. "I've got a bone to pick with you" he cried and you smiled "I'm sure you have". "Why would you wear that outfit? You did it just to test my attention didn't you?". "Why? Were you struggling to watch the show?" you asked. Baekhyun shook his head "no there was no competition, my eyes haven't left you all night so if articles come out about us it's all your fault". You laughed "you'd love if an article appeared like that". "Of course I would, I want you" Baekhyun replied seriously and you smiled at him toying with his tie. "We all want a lot of things" you replied and walked away. Baekhyun loved how you could make him speechless and hurried after you.

You managed to evade him and he didn't see you until afterwards at a club. Baekhyun saw you talking to some Seventeen members and stepped forwards. "Sorry boys but if you're asking Y/n out I bagsied it". Seungkwan, Dk and Hoshi laughed. "Oh are you two together?" DK asked and you smiled "he wishes". "I do" Baekhyun nodded "and Y/n won't admit it but she wants me too". You rolled your eyes but were smiling. "You can deny it all you want but we're destined Y/n and one of these days it will happen" he said gazing down at you "but for now enjoy your night" and with a kiss to your hand he disappeared.

"Wow" Seungkwan said "he didn't even say that to me but I'm swooning". The others nodded and you laughed "he's always like that". "And it doesn't affect you?" Hoshi asked. You watched Baekhyun across the room and shook your head "I wouldn't say that...more I'm biding my time".

You knew Baekhyun was right and one day you'd admit everything to him but for now, you were having too much fun flirting with him.

Chanyeol - Gets competitive

Chanyeol liked to win and do well at things which was why he hadn't asked you out. He wanted it to be perfect and to do it right. He'd liked you for a while now and was just waiting for the right chance when he realised he had competition.

He saw you chatting to Got7's Jackson at a table and could tell it was quite flirty and he shot the boy daggers. He remembered a few weeks ago when the two of you had been at a restaurant and you'd bumped into Jackson. He had eyes only for you and Chanyeol knew he was into you. So seeing the two of you together shot a sense of urgency into him. There was no way he was letting someone else slip in before him. A guy he couldn't trust to treat you as well as he would? Not happening.

So Chanyeol came over to you with a drink. "Here you go" he said passing it to you and you smiled "you remembered?". "Of course I remembered your drink, who do you take me for?" he asked putting an arm around your shoulders before turning to Jackson. "Oh hey I didn't see you there" he said. Jackson smiled "hey, I like your shirt". "Thanks" Chanyeol said and you looked between them. "Jackson and I were just discussing what it's like to be a foreign idol" you explained and Chanyeol nodded because you were from Japan. "Yeah I still remember when you arrived, you thought it was so cold" Chanyeol said laughing "you were shivering so much I gave you my coat". You chuckled remembering that moment "yeah I forgot about that. You were so welcoming and kind". He shrugged "I just wanted to make you feel at home. Then we were attached at the hip from then on" he said and you smiled at him.

"I think I'll go back m to my table" Jackson said and Chanyeol feigned sadness "aww no really?". "Yeah I'll see you both later" and he walked away. Chanyeol smiled seeing him go and you chuckled "why don't you like him?". "Who says I don't?" he asked. "Just the way you were looking at him, it was as if you hated him". Chanyeol shook his head "I didn't hate him I just didn't want him to beat me to something". "And what's that?" you asked and Chanyeol smiled. This was as good a time as ever so he told you everything.

You said yes of course.

D.O. - Tries to impress you

D.O. was the type who never wanted anyone to know he had a crush. He preferred to pretend he wasn't interested at all and guarded his heart tightly...but he was very aware of you and determined to make you notice him. He wanted you to come to him and tried to do that by playing the dark and mysterious stereotype. You were Chanyeol's sister and so were over a lot and D.O. made sure to be around when you were there but also a little inaccessible. He'd show up but always leave early because he "had something else on" to make himself seem interesting. Then when he was around he'd quietly watch the group and choose his words carefully. This seemed to work as whenever he made a joke you noticed and laughed. D.O. caught you watching him a few times and he loved it. He made sure to wear clothes he looked good in and didn't let the company anywhere near his hair because he like the current style. Then finally one night it all paid off because you approached him. It was Chanyeol's birthday party and the house was full because he had lots of friends. You arrived and D.O. only allowed himself 3 seconds to admire you before disappearing across the room. An hour later you found him in the kitchen and came up beside him. "Hey" you smiled getting a drink and D.O. nodded to you "hey, having a nice time?". You nodded "I am! Are all these people really friends with my brother?". You were trying to open a bottle but were having trouble. D.O. shrugged "yeah, he claims he’s social and has good genes...which I'm more inclined to believe after meeting you" and he reached across and opened your bottle for you. You blinked at his compliment and the movement "thanks" you said blushing "I still find it odd how many people know what he's like and like him". D.O. smiled "if it makes you feel any better I can't believe it either" and you laughed. "Didn't you ever want to be an idol?" D.O. asked "you've totally got the style for it". You blushed again "I would've loved to but I can't sing". "You could be a dancer?" he shrugged and you smiled "I can't dance either". "Well visual then, you can't tell me you don't have that because I can see you". You blushed going bright pink and smiled "thanks...would you like to get a drink with me? I mean I know we both have drinks but would you maybe want to go sit together and hang out?". D.O. nodded playing it cool but on the inside he was squealing. "Sure that'd be fun" he replied ignoring his internal monologue and led you to a chair outside. You stayed together all night and by the end of the night D.O. had your number. The strong mysterious type never fails.

Kai - Compliments you 24/7

Kai met you through Hwasa. You were in her group Mamamoo and were picking her up after the Olive Young campaign but got here early. You texted Hwasa who brought you inside to wait and Kai was hooked from the first glance. Hwasa could tell from the look on Kai's face that he was into you so she decided to be a good friend and lied telling you her car was in the garage all week so you'd come and pick her up. She thought one day or two tops Kai would work his magic and you'd be going out on a date but Kai wasn't as sexy in real life as he seemed on stage. He was oddly sweet. Hwasa walked in with you one morning and Kai actually gasped "wow Y/n I love your shoes!". You looked down at them as did Hwasa and both paused. You were wearing Converse which you thought looked a little old but smiled "Thanks Kai...I like your shoes too". "They're nowhere near as nice as yours" he said and you chuckled "okay" while Hwasa facepalmed. Every day was like that. Kai would find the weirdest thing to compliment you on, your forearms or your black jeans. Every day you thanked him and returned the favour. At the after-party to celebrate the shoot close Kai was at it again and he complimented you on your forehead, socks and gums all in one conversation. "Is Kai okay?" you asked Hwasa and she sighed. She figured if she didn't intervene nothing would happen "he likes you, that's what the excessive complimenting is". You paused "really? But how is he so bad at this? He's Kai!". Hwasa laughed "and? You're Y/n, I guess he's met his match". You blushed but smiled watching him across the room "you're sure he likes me?". "Yes so go get him!" Hwasa said pushing you towards him. She watched as you made your way over to him and began to explain. Kai went bright pink before a huge smile spread across his face and he nodded vigorously at what Hwasa presumed was you asking him out. You stayed together for the rest of the evening and as Hwasa passed you both later in the evening she called "you're welcome" making you both blush.

Sehun - Tries to seduce you...but fails

Sehun had a curse. He could be sexy doing the most mundane thing, he'd literally had compliments about how he took his wallet out of his pocket and things like that. However, when he wanted to act sexy, like when he was talking to the pretty stylist at work, he just couldn't. Sehun had his eye on you from your first day when he gasped when he saw you and asked Suho what group you were in. His hyung explained you weren't an idol but a member of staff and Sehun was sure you were in the wrong profession but your talent with clothes was undeniable. Career decision aside, Sehun decided he wanted to date you so he started trying to flirt. Sehun thought this would be easy considering you were his stylist and he looked good in clothes but he was wrong. The first time you worked together Sehun wasn't very well but tried to make a good impression. It was going well, you were smiling at him and joking around and then he let out the loudest more powerful sneeze of his life. It got messy and Sehun had to run for tissues while trying to hide his face from you. The next time Sehun heard you were going to be measuring him for a skin-tight concept so he made sure to exercise in the gym the day before as he'd have to be shirtless. Everything was going well until he overslept and had to race to get to the building. When he arrived he started taking his clothes off before realising the underwear he'd chosen this morning...was his oldest pair which had Spongebob Squarepants on as a joke from Kai. He debated climbing out the window so you wouldn't have to see them but too late you knocked on the door and entered. Sehun saw the smirk on your face when you noticed them and he could've died right then and there. The guys all thought it was hilarious but Sehun didn't agree. He felt as if time was running out for him to make a good impression with you and so when he heard you'd be working at their concert he decided this was his time. He arrived at the venue and there you were. "Good Afternoon" he called to you and you smiled "Hi Sehun, we've got some good looks for you today". "Cool, thanks Y/n" he said and came over to where you were standing. "You can't always tell you're a stylist because of the way you dress" he said and you paused. Sehun saw the frown on your face and realised what he'd said "I mean you can! You CAN tell you're a stylist...because you dress like all the magazines...I mean not like all the magazines, you're unique but you're also not..." he said cringeing. You nodded "right...shall we try your first one on?". "So how did round 3 go with Y/n?" Lay asked as they were going on stage. Sehun frowned "I insulted her". "On purpose?" Baekhyun asked and Sehun shook his head "no but it still happened". The guys went to comment but had no words and Sehun told them not to bother. Sehun enjoyed performing because it made him feel good and helped him think. He realised he'd been playing this all wrong. The slow game never worked well for him. He was best at confidence and committing to what he wanted so he decided to go for it. So in the interval when you came to assess his clothes he took a breath "Y/n I'm sorry for what I said earlier". "It's okay I'm sure you were just nervous" you said smiling and Sehun nodded "I was but not about performing...I like you Y/n and want to ask you out". You blinked a him "oh..." and Sehun nodded "I think you're super pretty and cool so would you like to get a drink with me after the show?". You blushed going red and nodded "yeah I'd like that" and Sehun grinned "great...so I'll see you afterwards" and he raced back on stage and gave the performance of his life.

Summary: Suho can’t hide his desire for you when he watches you get changed in front of him...

Prompt: “Judging by your… reaction, I’m guessing I look good?” & “Can I stay here tonight?”

As Suho opened his front door, you pushed him against the wall.

“Wanna fuck?” you whispered.

Suho’s heart was throbbing. Was this a dream? This had to be a dream. You were his best friend - his bad-ass, genius, way-too-hot-for-him best friend.

Well, you saw Suho as your best friend. Suho, meanwhile, spent every night imagining your body on top of his. Imagining this moment.

Suho was in love with you. And you had no idea.

“Y-yes,” he cried out.

You froze. A look of confusion crossed your face. Then, you threw your head back and laughed. You ruffled his fringe. “Just kidding! The look on your face is priceless. God, you are easy to mess with.”

Suho nodded, cursing himself in his mind.

“Yep.” His voice was dry. “You got me.”

You barrelled up the stairs and into his bedroom, trailing popcorn crumbs and destruction. You had a massive pile of dresses in your hands.

As soon as you reached Suho’s bedroom, you ran into his ensuite bathroom.

“Okay, I’ll start trying them on!” you called. “Thanks so much for helping me.”

Oh yeah. You were going on a first date with some jerk called Chanyeol today. And Suho, like the idiot he was, had agreed to help you pick an outfit. Did he enjoy getting his heart trampled on? He had no idea why he did this.

Suddenly, you leaned out in just a bra, your brown skin glowing deliciously in the light. You kissed him on the cheek. “You’re a lifesaver.”

The world wobbled a little as Suho drowned in happiness. Oh yeah. That was why he did this.

His cheeks burning painfully, Suho took a seat. With each dress – a black silk with a slit thigh, a puffy white one made of tulle – Suho tried to give a considered opinion.

You see, you and Suho were both journalists at the same women’s magazine. When he first met you four years ago, his career as a writer was struggling. He had no inspiration. There were only so many “21 cute throw blankets for your apartment” that he could write.

And then he met you. The girl who teased him mercilessly for being a man working at a women’s magazine, (you called him the “Lady Whisperer”) wrote so much better than him, and made him smile for hours every time you sent him a stupid sloth gif.

That was when he started the series, “How to Get Over A Crush (Hint: You Can’t)” and quickly became one of the magazine’s most popular writers. Suho told you the series was all made-up. Not once did you suspect that it was about you. That hurt Suho a little. Was it that hard to imagine you dating him?

“Okay, picky… what about this one?”

You came out, grinning breathlessly, in a dress covered in red lace flowers. Well, it could barely be called a dress – it cheekily revealed so much of your bronze skin. The neckline rippled down your chest, and Suho’s eyes felt glued to it.

For a moment, Suho was so overcome he couldn’t speak. His whole body pulsed and shivered with excitement.

“Well, silly? Can you speak or what?”

You jumped onto the bed next to him, and squished your fingers to his lips, pretending to open and close them. “Speak, speak, speak,” you chanted.

As soon as you touched him, Suho felt a jolt of excitement. Then a very familiar and very, very disturbing sensation in his pants. He had an intense erection.

Inhaling sharply, he leaned forward with his elbows on his thighs, as if thinking very hard.

You frowned at him. “What’s wrong? You’re acting funny.”

He cleared his throat. “N-nothing, just… more comfortable this way.”

You stood up, spinning slowly in front of the mirror. “Well? What about the dress?” you murmured.

Oh god. Seeing your whole body – including your very sculpted ass - was not helpful.

In the mirror, you noticed some little buttons at the back of the neck. “Oh, would you mind doing these up for me?”

Suho shook his head. “I’m think… you can manage.”

You spun to face him. “Oh my god, you’re being so weird right now. Just help me.”

Suho’s face was blushing up a storm. “Yeah, about that… I don’t feel like getting up right now.”

You pouted for a second. Then, suddenly, you pushed a fist in front of your lips. A tiny chuckle burst from your throat.

“Judging by your… reaction, I’m guessing I look good?” you said.

Suho screwed his eyes shut, wishing he could die right now. “Is it that obvious?”

A sweet, soft smile came to your lips. Suho was surprised. It was like you were letting your guard down for just a moment. “I’m flattered. I didn’t know I was that attractive.”

Suho smiled. “You are. Dangerously attractive. A guy should have to sign a form before dating you.”

“Like a gun license?” you asked.

“Exactly. A Y/n license.”

You stood up. “Well, I think fate is telling me to wear this one.”

You started to pick up the dresses from the bed.

Suho felt crushing disappointment. In a few minutes, you’d be out the door, flirting with that Chanyeol idiot. And he would lose you. Maybe for good this time.

Suho did something very uncharacteristic for him. He took a chance.

“Don’t go,” he called out, his voice thick.

You turned to him. “What?”

“Don’t go on the date,” he said, meeting your eye. He could barely believe what he was doing. Suho? Confident? This was crazy. “Can you stay here tonight?”

“Why?”

“Because… I don’t want you to date that Chanyeol guy. I want you to date me.” Suho took a deep breath. “I really like you. I’ve liked you ever since you walked into that office and called my tie ugly. And I’ve been too afraid to say anything till now, but, if that goddamn Chanyeol guy turns out to be the love of your life I’ll never be able to forgive myself.”

You sat down on the bed again. Your eyebrows pulled together, like you were doing a difficult calculation.

Suho groaned. “What? Stop looking like that! Just say something!”

You bit your lip. “No, it’s just… your crush. The one you write about in the “How to get over your crush” series… it’s not…”

Suho nodded. “It’s you. It always has been.”

You shook your head in disbelief. “The girl you write secret poems about? The girl who makes your throat dry every time she comes near? The one you call the boy-whisperer…” You realised the connection. “Oh my god…”

You fell into stunned silence. Then, quietly, you said, “I read that in bed every Sunday morning, and every time, I wish I could find a guy who loved me that much.”

You shuffled closer to Suho. “You goddamn idiot!” you cried.

Suho’s heart fell. This was it. The rejection he had always known was coming.

“Why the hell did you not tell me till now?” You were grinning, red spots of blush blazing high in your cheeks.

Suho’s stuttered. “W-what? You mean… you’re not mad?”

You laughed. “Mad? Suho, I had a crush on you from the start! That’s why I teased you. I just- I felt so many things and I’m not used to… feeling things.” You looked down. “I kept looking for signals that you liked me back, but after a while, I gave up. I thought you just wanted to be friends.”

Suho shook his head. “Well you could not be more wro-“

You interrupted him - by pressing your lips fiercely to his. The kiss- the kiss was like being born again. Your lips were just as soft as he’d imagined. He was so absorbed in the feeling of your mouth on his that he totally forgot about his embarrassing hard-on.

When you pulled away, you grinned at his lap. “Sorry. That probably isn’t helping… that situation.”

Suho shrugged and pretended to look thoughtful. “Well, you know, I’m starting to think it won’t go away on its own…”

You smirked, running your hand over his chest. “Fuck Chanyeol. I’m staying here. Coz I know just how to help you with that.”

SPOILERS ALERT - Last Episode Reaction (Rant Part 2)

Tw: DEPRESSION, SUICIDE

Nah.. it turns out that for the sake of my blood pressure, I had to make two rant posts in a row.

Thank you, Seopass-jakkanim for writing and creating this wonderful work with Kim Jinseok-nim, but I'm sorry that I can't be lenient about the less pleasing parts. So here is my reaction and long rant part 2 (not that you two writers or anyone would care, but I had to vent). I also included the pleasing parts at the end of the post.

First, you developed the characters' backgrounds in such a meticulous and detailed way and now you've abandoned them, or so I heard, to move on to another work. I mean gosh GOSH. Thank you for creating them BUT NO, THANK YOU for abandoning their proper arc resolutions. What would Sehan / Forrest and the others do? What would Jihoon / Jimmy do? Why are you left them stranded? Who exactly is Seongje / Wolf?

I appreciate that you tried to highlight the issues on young males' mental health problems by writing one character as suicidal (YES IT WAS HINTED THAT BAEKJIN / DONALD WAS SUICIDAL THAT NIGHT, WELL GUESS WHAT, IT WASN'T WRITTEN REALLY CLEARLY, WAS IT? Hmph) and another as depressed (SIEUN /GRAY, WHO ELSE) BUT you don't do that in a swoosh kind of way. No matter if they're suddenly reunited with their crush or best friend or whoever. What the hell was that? Show them being encouraged, show them opening up.

You introduced juvenile crimes and adult crimes into the plot and it's good, but now it's come to nothing. Why were they inserted into the story in the first place? To emphasize Baekjin's cruelty? As if school violence cases alone isn't enough? You could've just highlighted the school violence aspect. Now that part of the plot is left unresolved.

I understand why you make Seokhyeon / Kingsley so obsessed and that he has now dragged Dongha and Seongmok into this, who didn't look very happy or pleased about it. I MEAN PLEASE LET THEM GO? I know that they did wrong but they were minors and this is fiction, fgs.

You make sure that friendship is one of the key themes of the story but after that death, everything comes to a standstill. Is that it? Is that the point? But why, when your characters are minors with their future ahead of them? Why deny Seokhyeon, Dongha and Seongmok future too, when this is fiction and you're in a hurry to wrap things up for Sieun, Suho and the others?

Well I must be fair that there are good things in the last episode, though. These are them.

Hakho / Jake who found closure with himself and moving on to take care of Gwangseok /Kenny

Suho being okay although it doesn't seem that he's gone back to school (again, a reality with many bullying survivors).

The kids went to meet Suho / Stephen together with Sieun to Donghae area. No school trip scene, though. Everything is cut.

Jihwan (Sieun's old friend) being surprised that the monster Baku/Big Ben is Humin and is all smiley.

And he was so shocked that the famous White Mamba a.k.a Baeksa (the White Snake of Legend) is none other than Sieun. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Ok let's start from the beginning
