Happy Thursday besties!!!💞

Try to find one thing to be grateful for and/or one thing you can look forward to.

My mom’s covid test came back negative so I’m happy about that! And I’m looking forward to the next few weeks because Demi’s docuseries is coming out on Tuesday, a new song next Friday, her album comes out the Friday after that, and my birthday is coming up and it’s on Easter this year which is one of my favorite things! I am very grateful that I have so much to be grateful for and to look forward to.

Happy days may not be permanent, but they’re starting to become worthwhile. My life is far from perfect and will always be that way, but I’d rather fight for my happiness than have no desire to search for it at all.

Please keep fighting. I’ve been doing it every day of my life and I’m still here. You have it within you to survive. There are days where I don’t even want to survive, but I’m stubborn and refuse to let the universe get the best of me. If I’m gonna die, it’s gonna be when I’ve fulfilled my purpose. Do not let the hate in this world take you and all you have to offer away. You have every right to be here and deserve to live free of burdens.

We may not know why the universe is so relentless in testing us, but letting the evilness fester and infect (sorry for the unintentional heathers musical dead girl walking reprise reference) you will not change that. The only way to make the world a better place for you, others, and those to come is by staying here and being a part of that change. You may never see the beauty and the good that comes from fulfilling your purpose, but someone will. That is enough. You know how hard living can be, so if what you dedicate your life to can make someone else’s existence a bit less dreary, take it and make the best of it.

You deserve to be a positive force in this world. Make it happen. Demand that you are worthy of living your dreams, even if you have no faith in yourself, even if it doesn’t happen. At least demand that it could happen, maybe in another reality, who knows? But make the reality you have as lovely as you can.

I know how much it hurts to have that ache. That ache from a lack of motivation, the need to find meaning and purpose. Don’t let it debilitate you, or at least not forever. But if you think about it, feeling that ache means you want more from your existence. That means you WANT to want to live. You are aching for a purpose, a reason to find reasons to stay alive. It sounds very redundant and a bit confusing, but I know you understand what I mean.

So take this energy, HARNESS IT. I know nobody really knows what that means, but basically just savor it, keep it in your memories, keep a portion of it for yourself as motivation and so you dont lose it all. The rest of that energy... put it towards a passion. Don’t worry if it’s something arbitrary in the long run, it doesn’t matter. It’s today and that’s all you need right now. Make that enough for as much of your soul as you can.

Practice is progress. You don’t need to get it all right and sorted out. That’s the beauty but also the bitch of life: The most important things don’t have an answer, nor an explanation. But it’s worth seeing what happens. Use things you’re waiting for as motivation. It’s not always a bad thing to put your faith into external things. If Demi Lovato’s album is gonna keep me alive for at least until I can sing the entire thing by heart including the adlibs, then I will let it keep me alive for however long that takes. There will be more to look for as you go through the motions. It’s OKAY to be burned out, hopeless, stuck. It fucking sucks ass, but it’s not your fault. You didn’t make a mistake or fuck up. Life just sucks sometimes and it has a funny way of showing up unannounced and uninvited.

You don’t HAVE to fight every battle. You don’t respond to every single negative comment (trust me even if you try, it will never be what breaks you i promise. you might cry bc people are weird and can be total dicks, but hey cryinf is okay too!) LET YOURSELF HAVE A BAD TIME. Let your depression do what it has to do because we must learn to pick and choose our battles and fighting with your own brain is pointless. Fight a conservative instead. Project all the negativity you feel towards yourself onto topics that PISS YOU OFF. Just fucking run. Run. The tunnel doesn’t have a definitive ending, but at least you can decorate the tunnel as you live in it.

You are loved. You are worthy of doing what you dream. You deserve to be happy. Let yourself be yourself, through all the good and all the bad. I love you. Celebrate every victory, no matter how big or small. Be kinder to yourself. You can do it.
