P1 Crypters: What if...a Member of Team A had Survived?

Which among you Fate fans likes Mephistopheles? Was it zeravmeta? xenodile? shuttershocky? I can’t remember, it’s been months since the last time I saw someone enthusiastically talking about clown caster.

I’m seeing a sprite comic on Reddit exploring the idea of Guda partnering with a single member of Team A, with their partner Servant being one of the original FGO promo Servants. (Kadoc gets Mephisto, Ophelia gets Altera, etc)

Most of them are compiled in this thread on Spacebattles. (at least the Kadoc ones so far)

Let me tell you, Kadoc and Mephistopheles has the funniest Master-Servant dynamics I’ve seen in Fate fanfiction and the well-written jokes really emphasize that.

Also, despite the humor, there’s some genuinely impressive moments coming later on.

idea: guda gets sent to a new singularity that takes them to a chaldea where the explosion in the command room never went off

they have to go through that first day again, pretending they are their "old self" - a civilian with no magical experience

as well as befriending the crypters team A, what could have been! — and seeing roman once more

i would assume the story would go through the orleans singularity at least...

i don't know where to go from this starting point, including how it ends, the how- and whydunnit. but hey! anyone's free to bounce off this if they want

Plot

an Alternate Universe where the Incineration of Humanity doesn’t happen and the mission of Chaldea goes on as normal. Operates on the headcanon that the Servants shown in the game's promotional videos (which are also seen in the Part 1 Intro) are the Servants of the Crypters/Team A (aligned with the classes Da Vinci say they were supposed to contract with in Act 2 Prologue)

AU Name comes from the promo video headcanon.

Guda

Candidate 48, a normal civilian with a high aptitude for rayshifting. As always, I write Guda with they/them pronouns and undefined appearance wise.

Their Servant contract is undefined and open to interpretation, i like a lot of pairings for them that I can't choose. Whether its one of the latest 7 FP Servants (Charlotte, Chen Gong etc), or surprise!! the newbie summoned a really powerful Servant!

general rule is: no Alter Egos, Summer forms, Event Servants (with some exceptions), Pseudo Servants
