The young pup was gazing in awe at the tinier robot. He was gushing alright, and squishing his own face in fascination.

“C-Can I hold you, pretty please?”

Cube-Loving Robots

They were humming, the faintest hints of a tune playing from the decayed tape that still clung in to their system. Trash was easily pulled in to their chest compartment, and they worked with their hydraulics for a few seconds, thrumming, before spewing out a now perfect cube of nothing more than trash.

That was when they heard a strange noise- which was strange in of itself, to hear noise. Wall-E turned, head tilted, eyes re-formatting so that they could focus.

“Hrm??”

Was that... A robot?- A functioning robot??-

“W-oaw!”

Hunson had a fascination with robots. Just like the one right in front of him. He gave off a chuckle and knelt down. “Hey there! You are the most fascinating creature I have seen in awhile!” He told the robot. “What’s your name?” The demon asked.

Actually, this wasn’t abnormal; Gaster always did talk to inanimate objects.  

He didn’t understand how humans could make things so cute while plotting more efficient ways to murder each other.  

Bending forward, one tendril of darkness split free from his form and lightly patted the tiny robot.

June knew that no one in Special Forces saw Cozmo like June did, this little robot, really only good for more menial tasks, an extra pair of hands around the lab. After all, June had many responsibilities and she was stretching herself thin as it is.

But she saw the little machine as more than that, an artificial intelligence, capable of learning, of helping, of caring. He was like some kind of puppy, or a toddler. But most of all he was one of the very few in the lab to get a smile out of June. She’d grown protective over him, giving him upgrades to make him more durable around a lab that could be dangerous on a regular day. 

For now, June thought it best to help the robot speak. She picked up his language quite well, but June wasn’t really a regular human. “This one...” June picked up a blowtorch and showed it to the robot. “Is a blowtorch. Blow. Torch. It’s used to apply flame and heat to materials. It’s very hot, so be careful when putting it away. Repeat after me: Blow. Torch. Blowtorch.” 

June never dumbed down her words, that made her at times hard to work with, but for Cozmo, she’d endure.
