Quarantine Tag Game

Thank you @learning-to-think for tagging me!

1. Are you staying home from work/school? I am.

2. If you’re staying home, who’s there with you? I am with my parents and my brother at my hometown.

3. Do you have pets to keep you company? I have two cats and other random street cats. My parents have a house with garden and street cats are very popular in Turkey. We feed the ones in our neighborhood and they mostly hang around with our cats in the garden.

4. Who do you miss the most? İstanbul, and everything I did in my usual routine. Also all of my things are in my dorm including my passport so I am quite anxious. 

5. When was the last time you left your home? I came back from Denpasar in 15th March and I haven’t left home since, the first 14 days I was in self quarantine in my room just in case.

6. What was the last thing you bought? I bought some books online because like all my other shit my books are in İstanbul.

7. Is quarantine driving you insane or are you finally relaxed? Well if all my life, things and documents weren’t left at dorm my menrality would be a bit in a better place.

8. Are you a homebody? Nope.

9. What movies have you watched recently? I watched all the horro movies and space movies in Netflix. And, not a movie but, I rewatched The Good Place and B99.

10. An event that you were looking forward to that got cancelled? It is not cancelled currently it is postproned until things get better but I was supposed to intern at Permanent Reprasentation of Turkey to UN.

11. What’s the worst thing that you’ve had to cancel? JMC. A court simulation where I was to be a board member.

12. What’s the best thing you’ve had to cancel? I mean I miss everything. Midterms and boring lectures included.

13. Do you have any new hobbies? No, still studying, getting certificates, participating in virtual exchange. I still have to apply for master’s next year and Covid is not enough to stop me from growing my CV for the scholarship.

14. What are you out of? Patience.

15. What music are you listening to? Mostly old Turkish pop songs, Hamilton mixtape and the Weeknd.

15bis. What shows are you watching? B99, The Good Place, a lot of miniseries in Netflix.

16. What are you reading? Anything Stefan Zweig.

17. What are you doing for self-care? Not much.

18. Are you exercising? I started few 30 day challanges from Darebee.

19. How’s your toilet paper supply? I mean we don’t really have a supply we bough 32 pack last time we are still using that. There is no chaos in Turkey. There is only stocking for the weekends because there is lockdown at weekends. And the stocking mostly doesn’t include paper, just food.

20. Have you made any changes to your hair during quarantine? Nope.

May 31, 2021 - 75 days till the DAT

Graduated a little over two weeks ago and got accepted to a dental school, but only if I retake the DAT and 2-3 more upper level sciences. The grind truly never ends.

Meanwhile, I baked a berry brownie a few days ago and spent 3 hours making a jam last night when it was only supposed to take 30 minutes because I can’t cook (oops). Luckily, it turned out fine in the end!

Moved back home yesterday and hauled myself to my local library for the first time since middle school 😅

It snowed a few inches today, so I got the chance to go outside and play with my friends. Currently doing some virtual shadowing to get back into the dental grind 🦷😤

Lunch a few days ago consisted of apple cider, a baked sweet potato, toasted brioche bread with apple butter, and some really badly sliced nectarines.

Have been studying every day nonstop for this DAT since my last final.

Made a cheat sheet for respiration and photosynthesis. You’d think I know the process by now after reviewing it 3-4 times this year already lol.

Just took my first practice exam yesterday and that was tragic 🙃

It’s another hell week! Got two exams, an essay, and supplementals due this week, and then two more exams next week. Don’t even get me started on all of the assignments I have due too 😩 Ya girl can’t catch a single break.
