Mia made herself scarce following the outburst, not a particularly difficult thing to do. She found it easy enough to be on her own now. It had been that way ever since the family left Forks, but it was especially true while Carlisle and Esme were away for the week, leaving only Jasper, Alice, and Mia at the house in Ithaca.
Mia was never truly alone. She knew there was always someone nearby, but the house never seemed as full as it once had. For months, Edward had been off somewhere on his own. And now, Emmett and Rosalie had gone off as well.  These days, it didn’t feel like someone was always looking over her shoulder, but she should’ve known better. She should’ve known Alice would be looking.
Mia had tried to be civil, sensing that Jasper wouldn’t tolerate anything less even if Mia was entitled to her emotions. If it was anyone else Mia was treating this way, Jasper may have supported it, but since it was Alice, his mate, Jasper was more protective and less open to tolerating Mia’s behavior.
And Mia didn’t want to go there anyway so she’d been avoiding and ignoring them both to the greatest extent possible. Had Carlisle and Esme been reachable through cell phone, she was certain her father would have been able to talk her around, but seeing as her parents were away from cell service and none of them were interested in disturbing their first solo vacation in years anyway, Mia’s emotions were still unchecked, unprocessed.
And they’d been that way for days. It was easier to let them simmer while keeping distance from Alice and Jasper. She went to school and when the final bell rang, she walked a little over a mile downtown to Ithaca’s public library. It was there she stayed until they closed at 8 pm. She would ride back home with Jasper when he finished his class at Cornell and she would keep her earbuds firmly in place for the whole ride. Then Mia went straight to bed when they arrived home. It had worked all week, but today was Friday. The library closed at 5 pm on Fridays and Jasper didn’t have class.
Mia had known it was coming, felt it rising in her from the moment she woke up with the sun to prepare for school. She knew she wouldn’t be able to justify shutting herself away in her bedroom until Monday morning, and anyway, she’d sensed that Alice was becoming impatient with the tension between them—her sister was hurt.
So while Mia had been anticipating Alice’s attempts at reconciliation while she sat through her classes at school, she wasn’t ready for them. She didn’t want it. Not yet. Mia was still too angry, too hurt. The betrayal and control and resentment was still too strong—too confused. Jasper had been the one to pick her up from school, a small kindness, and she’d passed a few hours alone in her room, but then it was dinner. Mia had to eat. Alice had approached her then, refusing to relent, refusing to let Mia simply go back to her bedroom with her dinner in peace.
Mia had released it all on her sister then.
She’d slammed her bowl of pasta down in the sink, sauce and vegetables splattering the counter as Mia released the words she’d been holding for days. She saw the hurt in her sister’s eyes as she spoke. Somewhere deep down, Mia felt a twinge of guilt, but another part of her felt a twinge of satisfaction at Alice’s pain. It was terrible, she knew, but Mia couldn’t imagine that Alice’s hurt amassed to anything close to her own.
As soon as the words were out of her, Mia left through the back door, her hunger forgotten, adrenaline pushing her through the forest behind their house. She hadn’t noticed Jasper’s presence until he grasped her arm and pulled her to a sudden stop, turning her toward him on the muddy path.
“What was that?” Jasper asked, his accent slipping through and betraying the last veils of calm he was trying to display.
Mia tried to shake her arm free. “She was the one who wanted to talk. That’s all I have to say to her.”
“You had no right to speak to her like—”
“I had no right? She had no right to do what she did!” Mia scoffed. “And you have no right to come after me now. This has nothing to do with you. It’s between me and Alice so why don’t you fuck off—”
“You need to calm down or—”
“Or what? You’re going to call dad and tell on me?” she asked, ending the question with a laugh. “Go ahead. Do what you want. I don’t fucking care.”
“You will control your anger or you’ll have me to worry about,” Jasper said. “You are allowed to be angry for not getting your way, but I will not allow you to lash out at—”
“You think this is anger?” she asked.
Maybe it seemed that way, but Mia knew herself well enough to know that it was a front or at least just a small piece of it. She wasn’t just angry—she was hurting and she was afraid…and the fact that Jasper couldn’t see that, couldn’t see past the anger or the fact that it was directed at Alice, for long enough to actually see and hear his sister…that fact compounded the hurt more than she cared to admit.
Maybe her father would have understood. He probably would have sided with Alice and Jasper about the need to keep her away from the life they’d left in Forks—it wasn’t safe for any of them to return—but he would have at least understood. And if he hadn’t understood right away, her father would have listened. He would’ve tried to understand her point of view, the way she was feeling.
Sure, Jasper could sense emotions. He could read and manipulate them without thinking, but Mia realized that those powers didn’t mean her brother could empathize. And missing Jacob…missing the life they’d all built in Forks…that wasn’t something that Jasper understood. It wasn’t a loss he felt. Sometimes, he could be drawn toward empathy by Alice, by the things she cared about, but that wouldn’t work this time.
Alice could be the kindest, most giving creature on the earth. Mia knew that, but her sister could also be hateful and othering when it suited her. While Alice loved Bella, it was no secret that she didn’t approve of  Jacob Black. Alice didn’t care that Jacob wasn’t responding to Mia’s calls. She didn’t care that there was clearly something wrong. All she cared about was stopping the connection, stopping Mia from going back to Forks.
Maybe Mia should have been worried about those things. Maybe she shouldn’t have been contacting JAcob in the first place, but he was the first friend she’d ever really had, the first real connection outside of her family, the first person she’d ever truly shared a part of herself with who wasn’t a Cullen.
And no sooner had the connection been formed then they were pulling her away from Forks, away from that life and into a new one. And they just expected her to leave it all behind? To just forget about Jacob and Bella? The closest bonds she’d ever made outside of their family?
Mia could feel the emotion swelling within her, a lump burning in her throat as she worked to hold it all back and control her breathing as it grew more and more shallow, the thoughts in her mind swirling—blame and worry, longing and hurt—all of it begging for another release, though the anger would have to come out first.
Even if Jasper hadn’t seen the emotion sowed into his sister’s features, it rolled off of Mia in waves, the intensity of it cracking through the fortifications she always worked so hard to maintain. She had trained for years to control herself, but the training was failing now. It was too much, too strong.
“Mia, I need you to calm—” Jasper started.
Everything coming off of Mia crashed into Jasper, stopping his appeal. It overtook him, eliciting not a rush of sympathy for his sister’s intense emotions, but inciting fortification of the defense that had been mounting from the moment she blew up at Alice.
Mia could feel it—Jasper forcing his calm on her—the leading edge of it merging with that of her own emotions, both of them fighting for control, fighting to gain a bit of traction. A part of Mia wanted to let it in, to let her brother win, to let the all-consuming anger fall away while Jasper’s forced serenity cooled her off. It would have been easier to accept that, easier to pretend that nothing else mattered. It would have been easier to let it go, but she couldn’t.
Mia knew she would only regret it. She would only grow to be filled with a certain resentment, a starving painful curiosity that would stay with her—growing, living, and breathing within her like a living thing, begging for a fill she could never satisfy on her own. She needed answers. And she needed freedom. She needed to be in control of her future. And she needed to know she could trust her sister to not constantly interfere.
“Let me go!” Mia snapped as Jasper’s hand finally caught her arm, her sudden words accompanied by a strengthening of her protective walls. It pushed Jasper’s reaching influence out of her mind, blocking him completely. All of the rage she’d been allowing to spill out pulled back and Jasper suddenly felt nothing but his own attempts to soothe her, to dilute her.
All Mia felt was deeply alone. Edward gone. Emmett and Rose gone. Her parents away. Jacob and Bella as good as dead.
And all Mia wanted was to see Jacob or hear him, to know that he was okay. Maybe that would give her the confidence to believe everything would turn out alright, but it was impossible. There was no chance of contact. The realization had Mia sinking to the ground, wrapping her arms around her knees as she pulled them to her chest. Sobs wracked Mia’s body as she sat there on the muddy forest floor, barely aware that Jasper was still there, consciously trying to find a way in, an apology on the tip of his tongue.

Forever Yours || Paul Lahote
Summary: Request -Okay so reader is Bella's (fraternal) twin sissy. She moved to Forks with Bella and the whole first book happens WITHOUT her knowing what's going on. She's just as in the dark as Charlie is..... Read Rest Here
A/N: LOVED THIS. LOVE TWILIGHT. Keep them coming!! Thank you for the requests as always!
Pairing: Paul Lahote x Swan Sister Reader
Word Count: 4.0k
TW: Possessiveness
Tumblr media
You and your sister, Bella, had always gotten along well even being so different. She was the shy twin who always stood behind you. You on the other hand always fought Bella’s battles because she needed it, that’s what sisters were for. The two of you weren’t identical, and your personalities could not have been more different. Yet, at the end of the day, she was the person you knew would always understand you. She was your best friend and confidant. So, when she proposed moving back in with Charlie you followed along with her.
Things changed when the two of you moved to Forks and not in a way you liked. She began distancing herself from you after she met Edward. Instead of coming home and gossiping about your respective days she started going to the Cullen’s house. She stopped telling you things. She became protective and oh so secretive over her boyfriend. You confided in Charlie more than you could ever expect. You hung out with Jessica and Angela more than you would’ve ever dreamed. Still, you looked after your sister. She was the shy one who fell hard and fast. For whatever reason you just couldn’t seem to trust Edward. When she finally let the two of you meet he was just off and you couldn’t seem to pinpoint what it was.
It wasn't until the departure of Edward Cullen, leaving Bella desolate and shattered, that the mysterious shroud enveloping your lives began to unravel at a rapid pace. As Bella struggled to navigate through the abyss of heartbreak, you tried your hardest to be the strength that she needed. But it often felt like you were failing her. Like nothing you could say would offset any of the heartbreak she was feeling. And you were angry. Angry at the stupid family that decided to vanish without a trace. For even though Edward seemed off he seemed like he truly was deeply in love with your sister.
Your only saving grace was your old friend Jacob. He found a way to bring your shattered twin back to the surface of the water she was struggling to swim in. The three of you spent so many nights together doing everything and nothing at the same time. Laughing till your faces were blue and finding the human connection she so desperately needed. You could never thank him enough for bringing back your sister you had lost for so many months.
But even that wasn’t enough for him to leave. When Jacob withdrew from both of your lives you became the sad twin. It was Bella who became angry like you were so many months prior. Bella forced you in the truck one afternoon claiming she had a bone to pick with the second boy who abandoned her in so many months. You had no desire to see the boy, but Bella demanded you come with her.
You watched as she pounded on the door of his home only to be met with nothing. You waited in the truck as Bella noticed Sam and his pack off to the side of Jacob’s home. Her footsteps treaded the path towards Sam and his pack, heart pounding with a mixture of apprehension and anticipation. It was only when you saw her physically push Sam, the leader of the tribe, did you bolt out of the car trying to catch your sister from doing anything too drastic.
"Bella, stop!" you cried out, your voice tinged with desperation as you rushed forward. Your heart was hammering desperately in your chest, a whirlwind of emotions swirling within you as you reached out towards Bella, hoping to stop the impending confrontation.
But it was too late. Bella's palm has already met one of the dark-haired boys cheeks with a sharp crack, the sound reverberating through the trees. You watch in dismay as the man’s expression darkened. His features contorted with fury, a primal growl rumbling in his chest that even startled you. The forest seemed to hold its breath as the world became silent at what the next move of the man could possibly be. You gulped feeling the tension thick in the air.
And then, in the midst of the events that were unfolding. You looked to the men in front of you looking at each of them one by one before your eyes finally met the one who had just been slapped. His gaze locked onto yours, a fleeting moment of connection amidst the tumult that surrounded you. In that instant, everything seemed to crystallize, the world narrowing down to just the two of you even with all the people surrounding you.
Timed seemed to slow to an utter crawl. The world around you faded into insignificance as your attention was locked in on the man. A sharp gasp came from you as you continued staring right at him. It was a feeling you had never experienced in this lifetime. Something you could never have expected. He too couldn’t seem to break his gaze away from yours. In that fleeting instant, everything seems to shift. The air crackled with anticipation, the forest holding its breath as the weight of the moment bears down upon you. It's as if the universe itself has paused, allowing you and Paul to exist in a suspended state of existence, isolated from the disorder that rages beyond the confines of your shared gaze.
As Paul staggers backwards, a whirlwind of emotions courses through his mind, each feeling vying for dominance over the others. Anger, once burning bright within him, now dissipates like mist in the morning sun, leaving behind a hollow sense of bewilderment and wonder. His chest heaves with the effort of controlling the torrent of feelings threatening to overwhelm him. He had felt every single emotion. Saw every single emotion. You were her. You were his imprint. Only Sam had been so lucky to have found his person. And now Paul did. And he didn’t even know her name nor you his.
To your surprise you felt your feet moving forward as he dropped to his knees on the forest floor. Paul was acutely aware of the weight of this moment. He had to wonder what you were feeling. You too were locked in on his own eyes, yet you could have no idea what was going on and how chaotic your seemingly normal life was about to get. But amidst the heaviness of the moment, there is something else—a glimmer of hope, a spark of possibility that ignites within him like a flame in the darkness. For in your eyes, he sees not just a reflection of his own turmoil, but also a flicker of understanding, a shared recognition of the bond that now binds the two of you together.
"What... what just happened?" Bella's voice wavers, her eyes wide with disbelief as she looks between you and Paul. But you have no answers to offer, you were just as confused as she was. While Bella's voice wavers with disbelief, her eyes dart between you, Paul, and the surrounding men, searching for answers amidst the bewildering scene.
Embry, who had been standing nearby with Sam, catches your eye with a knowing smirk, a hint of understanding dancing in his gaze. He stepped forward, as if he's seen this scenario play out before. "Looks like we've got ourselves an imprint," Embry remarks, his voice tinged with amusement as he addresses Sam, who watches the unfolding scene with a composed yet cautious demeanor.
Sam nods in acknowledgment, his expression unreadable as he assesses the situation before him. His eyes shifted between you and Paul with a measured intensity, as if gauging the depth of the bond that now connects you.
Meanwhile, the boy you had originally came to see, Jacob, came sprinting out of the house that he had just ignored Bella from. His expression a mix of surprise and concern as he takes in the scene before him. His eyes narrow as they settle on Paul, a flicker of protectiveness crossing his features before he turns to you, his look softening with understanding in your utter confusion. Yet in all that was happening so fast you couldn’t seem to tear your eyes away from this man. He had captured your mind, body, and soul all within a single look.
"Y/N, are you okay?" Jacob asks, his voice gentle yet tinged with worry as he approaches, his footsteps echoing against the damp grass.
You finally tore your gaze away from Paul somehow, your heart racing as you meet Jacob's concerned gaze. Despite the frenzy that surrounds you, his presence offers a sense of comfort, a reminder of the unwavering support that has always been there for you, negating the two weeks he had decided to ignore you for.
"I don't know what happened," you admit, your voice barely above a whisper as you try to make sense of the whirlwind of emotions that flowed through you so unexpectedly. "But I feel... different."
Bella's eyes widen in disbelief, her mind racing to comprehend the incomprehensible. But amidst the uncertainty that envelops you all, one thing remains clear—the ties that bind you to Paul, are unbreakable, defying logic and reason with an undeniable force.
"Jacob," Sam's voice cuts through the silence, his tone firm yet tinged with a hint of urgency. "Take them to Emily's. We need to talk." He motions towards Paul who was still on his knees before you.
Jacob nods in acknowledgment, his gaze flickering between you, Paul, and Sam, a silent understanding passing between them. He moves forward, his hand reaching out to gently guide you away from Paul, his touch reassuring in the confusion that surrounds you.
"Come on, Y/N, Bella," Jacob murmurs softly, "Let's go."
As Jacob reaches out to guide you away from Paul, a low, guttural growl rumbles deep within Paul's chest just as it had earlier after Bella has slapped him. His possessiveness flaring in the face of Jacob's touch. His eyes narrow, a primal instinct driving him to protect what he now considers his own.
"Hands off my girl," Paul's voice is low, but the irritated edge to it is unmistakable as he stands to takes a step towards you. His eyes never left yours. The intensity of his declaration sends a shiver down your spine, his unwavering stare holding you in a trance.
But Sam, ever the voice of reason among the sea of emotions, steps forward with a measured stride. His expression unwavering as he addresses Paul with a firm yet understanding tone. “Paul, calm down," Sam's voice carries authority, tempered with a hint of empathy as he meets Paul's frustration head-on. "We need to talk, separately. She will be just fine with Jacob."
Paul's protest is immediate, his feelings for you overwhelmingly strong. "No, she's not going anywhere without me," he insists, his voice tinged with desperation as he takes a defiant step forward, his resolve unyielding.
But Sam's gaze holds steady, his alpha like authority asserting itself in the face of Paul's defiance. "Paul, stand down," he commands, his voice brooking no argument as he meets Paul's gaze with unwavering determination. Paul winces but gives into Sam’s demands, though the reluctance is evident in the tension that lingers in his frame. His eyes remain locked on you, a silent promise of protection and devotion burning brightly within their depths.
While Jacob leads you away from Paul you can't help but feel torn between the conflicting desires that rage within you. Part of you longs to stay by Paul's side, to bask in the warmth of his unwavering love. While another part recognizes the need for clarity and understanding in the sheer confusion that threatens to consume you. And as you and Bella follow Jacob through the dense undergrowth of the forest you can't shake the feeling of Paul's presence lingering at the edges of your consciousness, a constant reminder of the inexplicable bond that now defines your existence.
Jacob guides you and Bella through a trail in the forest, a heavy silence hangs in the air, punctuated only by the rustling of leaves and the distant calls of unseen creatures. Sensing the need to break the tension, Jacob takes a deep breath before breaking the uncomfortable silence. "Look, I need to tell you both something," Jacob begins, his voice cautious yet resolute. "But it's going to sound... well, it's going to sound crazy."
You and Bella exchange a puzzled glance, the weight of Jacob's words settling uneasily in the pit of your stomachs. You've both sensed that there's more to the Quileute tribe than meets the eye, but the truth remains shrouded in mystery.
Jacob takes a moment to gather his thoughts before coming out with it. "The thing is... we're not exactly... normal," he admits, his words halting as he struggles to find the right way to explain the inexplicable. "We're... werewolves."
The revelation hangs in the air like a heavy fog, enveloping you and Bella in a cloud of disbelief. For a moment, neither of you can find the words to respond, the enormity of Jacob's confession leaving you speechless. "Werewolves?" Bella's voice is barely above a whisper, her eyes wide with shock as she looks to Jacob for confirmation.
Jacob nods solemnly, his expression grave as he meets Bella's gaze. "Yes. And there's something else. Something called imprinting."
You nodded along, “That’s what the one guy just said. We’ve got ourselves an imprint? What is that?” You asked pressing him further.
Jacob smiled knowing that your life was going to change, hopefully for the better. "It's when a wolf finds their soulmate. Their other half. The one person they're meant to be with for the rest of their lives." Bella's brow furrows in confusion, her mind struggling to comprehend the magnitude of what Jacob is telling her. But you, on the other hand, feel a strange sense of recognition stir within you, a faint echo of the inexplicable connection you felt with Paul.
As Bella sighs with uncertainty, Jacob senses the weight of her confusion and seeks to provide clarity. "And... and what does that have to do with what happened back there?" Bella asks, her voice laden with hesitance as she gestures back in the direction of Paul and the pack.
Jacob's gaze flickers towards you, a silent acknowledgment passing between you as he prepares to reveal the truth. "It means that... Paul imprinted on you, Y/N," he explains gently, his eyes filled with compassion as he meets your bewildered gaze. "He's your soulmate."
“Paul.” You whispered his name out loud for the first time. Paul, your soulmate. Your heart skips a beat at the revelation, the words sinking in slowly as you struggle to comprehend the enormity of what Jacob is saying. Soulmates? It's a concept you never thought you'd entertain, let alone experience firsthand.
"Soulmate?" Bella's voice echoes your thoughts, her eyes widening in astonishment as she turns to you for confirmation.
You nod slowly, the reality of the situation beginning to sink in. "I... I don't understand it all," you murmur, your voice barely above a whisper as you grapple with the implications of Jacob's words as the three of you walked through the forest to what you assumed to be Emily’s place, whomever that was.
Jacob offers you a reassuring smile, his expression filled with understanding. "It's okay, Y/N. I know it's a lot to take in," he says softly, his tone gentle yet firm. "An imprint is... it's like finding your other half. Your perfect match. And for Paul, that's you."
Bella's eyes widen in realization, her mind racing to process the revelation. "So... he's bound to her? Like... forever?" she asks, her voice tinged with uncertainty as she seeks to grasp the intricacies of the imprinting process.
Jacob nods solemnly. "Yeah. It's a permanent bond," he explains, his tone heavy with the weight of the truth. "But it doesn't have to be romantic. It can be... it can be like a best friend too. Someone who's always there for you, no matter what."
The realization washes over you like a tidal wave, the enormity of the situation sinking in as you come to terms with the truth of Paul's imprint. It's a bond that transcends the boundaries of time and space, forging a connection between two souls that can never be broken.
And as you walked surrounded by the whispering of the trees and the steady presence of Jacob by your side, you find yourself beginning to accept the truth of your newfound destiny. The road ahead may be filled with uncertainty, but with the unwavering support of your sister and the friendship of Jacob, you know that you'll face whatever challenges may come your way head-on.
Tumblr media
As you, Bella, and Jacob step into Emily's cozy kitchen, the aroma of freshly baked muffins envelops you, a comforting contrast to the whirlwind of emotions swirling within. Emily's warm smile greets Jacob, her eyes alight with joy as she rushes forward to embrace him.
"Jacob, it's been too long!" Emily exclaims, her voice filled with genuine affection as she pulls back to look at him.
Jacob returns her embrace, offering a sheepish grin. "I know, Em. It's good to see you," he replies warmly.
Emily's gaze then shifts to you and Bella, her smile widening as she takes in your presence. "And who do we have here?" she asks, her tone friendly and inviting.
Jacob gestures towards you and Bella. "Emily, this is Y/N and Bella Swan," he introduces, a sense of pride evident in his voice. "They're new to town, and we thought I'd bring them by to meet you." He spoke referencing the pack as a whole. It was intriguing watching him operate now that you knew why he up and disappeared on you those weeks ago.
Emily's eyes widen with recognition as she looks at Bella. "Ah, the Swan sisters! Charlie's girls. I’ve heard a lot about you two," she remarks with a knowing nod. Then her gaze shifts to Bella, and her expression changes to one of surprise. "And you're the vampire girl, aren't you?"
Your heart nearly stops at Emily's words, the revelation hitting you like a sudden jolt. Vampire girl? You exchange a bewildered glance with Bella, who looks equally taken aback. Edward was a vampire? What next… mermaids?
"What? Bella? Vampires?" you stammer, your cheeks flushing with embarrassment as you struggle to comprehend Emily's words.
Bella's face turns crimson, her embarrassment palpable as she shoots you an apologetic glance. Her eyes told you that she would explain it all later. "Emily, I'm so sorry," she begins, her voice tinged with mortification. "Y/N, this is... um... kind of a long story."
As the truth about vampires and the supernatural world of Forks begins to unfold, you can't help but feel overwhelmed by the enormity of it all. But amidst the confusion and embarrassment, there's a sense of shared understanding that together you'll navigate the challenges that lie ahead. As the conversation continues in Emily's kitchen, laughter and chatter filling the air, the sound of approaching footsteps draws your attention. Sam, Paul, and Embry enter the room, their expressions relaxed and jovial as they exchange banter with Jacob.
"Hey, look who decided to join the party!" Jacob teases, a playful grin spreading across his face as he greets his packmates.
Sam chuckles, his eyes crinkling with amusement. "Couldn't stay away, could we?" he retorts, a hint of mischief in his voice as he exchanges friendly jabs with Jacob.
Paul's gaze finds yours amidst the commotion, a soft smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Y/N," he says, his voice gentle yet earnest as he steps forward, his eyes meeting yours with a depth of emotion that leaves you breathless.
"Paul," you reply, your voice barely above a whisper as you meet his gaze, a rush of anticipation coursing through you at the prospect of speaking with him alone.
Sensing the unspoken tension between you and Paul, Jacob steps forward with a knowing smile. "I'll leave you two to get to know each other," he says, his tone light yet meaningful as he gives you a subtle nod of encouragement.
As Jacob and the others retreat away from the kitchen to give you and Paul some privacy, you find yourselves alone in the midst of Emily's bustling kitchen. The air crackles with anticipation as Paul takes a step closer, his eyes searching yours with an intensity that sets your heart racing. "Y/N, I wanted to talk to you," Paul begins, his voice soft yet filled with determination as he gathers his thoughts. "About what happened earlier. About us. If that’s okay with you."
You swallow hard, the weight of Paul's words hanging heavy in the air as you search for the right response. "Paul, I... I don't even know where to begin," you admit, your voice trembling with uncertainty as you struggle to find the words to express the whirlwind of emotions that threaten to overwhelm you completely.
But Paul reaches out, his hand finding yours with a gentle touch that sends a shiver down your spine. "We'll figure it out together, Y/N," he says, his voice filled with conviction. "Whatever happens, I'll always be here for you. I promise you that."
As you stand there, enveloped in the warmth of Paul's presence, a soft blush tinges your cheeks as you struggle to find the right words to express the swirl of emotions coursing through you. Your heart races with anticipation, your thoughts a jumble of uncertainty and longing. "This is all a lot," you murmur softly, your voice barely above a whisper as you meet his gaze with a shy smile. "But it's a good thing you're so... so handsome." You weren’t sure where that surge of confidence came from, maybe it was the bond. But even you couldn’t deny the sheer beauty of the man that stood before you. You feel a rush of exhilaration mixed with nervousness, unsure of how Paul will respond to your flirty compliment.
Paul's expression shifts, a mischievous twinkle dancing in his eyes as he leans in closer, his breath warm against your ear. "Is that your way of saying you think I'm cute, Y/N?" he teases, his voice low and husky.
You bite your lip, a playful glint in your eyes as you meet his gaze. "Maybe," you reply coyly, a hint of flirtatiousness creeping into your tone as you lean in closer to him. "You'll just have to stick around to find out."
As a smirk tugs at the corners of Paul's lips, his gaze intensifies, locking onto yours with a magnetic pull that leaves you breathless. You feel a surge of anticipation coursing through your veins as he leans in even closer, the air crackling with electricity between you.
"Oh, I intend to, pretty girl" Paul murmurs, his voice a low rumble that sends shivers ripping through your body. His words are filled with promise, his eyes sparkling with mischief as he closes the distance between you, his breath warm against your skin. “Don’t you worry about that.”
A soft gasp escapes your lips as Paul's hand gently cups your cheek, his touch sending waves of warmth cascading through you. Your heart pounds in your chest as his lips brush against yours in a tantalizing whisper, a feather-light caress that ignites a fire deep within your soul.
"You're so beautiful, Y/N Swan," Paul whispers against your lips, his voice filled with sincerity and admiration. "I can't help but be drawn to you. I’m forever yours pretty girl."
The sweetness of his words sends your heart soaring, a rush of euphoria washing over you as you lose yourself in the intoxicating embrace of his affection. In that moment, all doubts and fears melt away, leaving only the undeniable connection between you and Paul, a bond forged in the flames of desire and longing. And as you surrender to the irresistible pull of his embrace, you can't help but feel a sense of bliss wash over you. With Paul by your side, you know that the journey ahead will be filled with laughter, passion, and endless moments of pure, unadulterated love.

Okay, hello! I love your work so much and wanted to make a request (if they're open let me know if I've been too rude to you dear) for "being Isabella Swan's big/little sister and being Jasper Cullen's mate." BECAUSE, at first he tried to repress that feeling by acting weird around her, and she hated the way he wrinkled his nose every time he saw her. Another thing, she grew up in Forka with Charlie... That's it, I'm sorry if I threw this too hard in your lap 😔. Kisses 💗

A/n: thank you for the request and don't feel bad for requesting, I always love writing for Twilight.
Main master list Emmett cullen story
Tumblr media
So first off, I think thst you being Bella's older sister and living with Charlie kinda changes the story a bit. First off there's something special about you, but you living with humans all your life none notices.
You were about two when your parents devorced so when it came to living situations you stayed with your father.
You met the Cullens before Bella even showed up. Like everyone else at Forks High to took notice to the family. You weren't upsets with figuring out their background like everyone else though.
Your first day meeting Jasper was his first day in your history class. The only empty seat left was next to you.
He hesitated as he sat down next you. When he did he tensed up and turned his nose away. You glared at him wanting to know what his problem was. When the bell rang he was out in a flash.
The next few days he didn't show up. When he did he remained silent but didn't turn his nose like you stunk.
Instead of turning his nose away he would silently look at you then turn away before he would get cought. This went on through out the class. You would look at him then look away before he noticed.
The first words you actually exchange words till you had to work on a history project together.
“your name is y/n Swan right?” he asked. You nodded immediately falling for his southern accent. “yeah, and your Jasper”
He smiled slightly. “sorry for being so rued last week” you shrugged. “not a big deal, we all have bad days”
You guys continued to talk and he quickly got comfortable talking to you. He started to fall for everything about you. He knew you were his mate but he started finding small and big details about you that made him enternally thankful it was you.
Jasper took another aproch than his dear brother when it came to relationships. He 'corted' you by becoming friends with you first, you actually became best friends. As your relationship grew you became close to his siblings too, especially rose.
Your first date was the movies and suprisenly you guys just sat there for two hours laughing at the gore in the horror movie you picked.
After your first date he confessed to being a vampire and to his reilef you didn't freak out. He was so scared that you would leave him but he didn't want to lie to you.
“I understand if your scared... But I didn't want to start our relationship with a lie”
I immediately wrapped your arms around him and hugged him tight. “I don't care, I still want to be with you”
You started officially dating about a month before Bella showed up.
You don't get along with Bella or your mother, so let's just say you weren't thrilled when you found out she was moving to forks.
During the time she started to settle in at home with you and Charlie you spent more time with Jasper and his family. You told Jasper that you two never got along and the hate and neglect your mother caused you.
The first time Bella saw Jasper is when he was picking you up for school. She kept pushing on who he was but you bairly awnsered. “he's my boyfriend, bella”
Dispite Bella and Edward dealing with their problems you and Jasper have a very strong relationship.
You two may not have much in common but that doesn't mean you two don't show interest in each other's Passions.
Your a movie nerd so he'll happily watch any movie with you. He's a history buff and he's was around for most of it so if he wants to talk about something you'll always there to listen.
Speaking of history, it didn't take long for him to open up about him training new borns and Maria using him.
He's very gentle with you at first, he would hate himself if he ever hurt you, but later on in the relationship he's more confident and isn't afraid to touch you as much.
Speaking of which, his kisses are always full of passion and love. His favorite place to kiss you is on your forehead beacuse of how much taller he is than you.
He's always holding your hand. He always needs to be touching you and needs to be close to you. Emmett teases him for being Clingy but it's mostly just an anxiety thing, especially if he's around Humans he needs to ground himself by holding your hand or his arms around you.
If your wondering, Charlie loves him. At first he thought Jasper was weird(much like Edward) but he appreciated how kind and and well mannered he was. He knew he could trust Jasper with you.
Through your relationship with Jasper you had also gained a best friend through Rosalie and Emmett.
Rosalie loved you immediately and took you under her wing. Alice is a loyal friend but your not thst close.
Carlisle and Esme are like your second parents and they love you like your part of the family.
During the events of New Moon Jasper refused to break your heart. He knew that was Edward's plan with Bella, but he's not Edward. Yes they did move but you two stayed in contact. He would call you every day and you'll see each other on weekends.
He came to your graduation during the time the whole family moved then proposed to you a few months later.
Your wedding was unfortunately put on hold due to the who new-born army. It didn't bother you, you understood under the circumstances but Jasper was furious with not only Bella but Edward too. It wasn't their fault, he knew that, but then again Bella made it all about her and ignored the fact the vampires were after you too.
During the battle you were hurt causing Jasper to turn you. He didn't want to and he blamed himself for fighting instead of protecting you.
You loved being a vampire and never once blamed him. And it's a good thing he had experience with New-borns beacuse he was with you every step of the way during your transition.
You had your wedding about four months before Edward and Bella's. You went to Memphis for your honeymoon and stayed out till it was time to go home for the other wedding.
Oh I forgot to mention, Bree survived and since you were now an adult you and Jasper adopted her as your own. Your amazing parents and you three make an adorable family.
Later on in life and when everything was peaceful, no one dying or fighting, you two adpot two twins. They were both infants and needed loving parents.
Jasper is very loving husband and even if being a vampire is hard sometimes you wouldn't change your life for anything.

Characters: [name] Swan, Bella Swan, Charlie Swan, Jacob Black, and The Cullen family
Plot summary: Renae had enough of your attitude, she decided it was best for you to stay with your sister and Father in Forks. Paying to fly you out to forks, To Charlie's Delit and Bella's chagrin. However, seeing how Bella has been acting you watch closely as to what she does. And seeing how she treats Dad and an old friend Jacob, you feel it best to call her out. Because that's what big sisters do.
Warning: swearing, yelling, Bella being a hypocrite and not like other girls, crying, arguments, slapping, Edward being a creep.
A/n: Fuck Edward. And not in a good way. In a grossed out over his bs way.
Tumblr media
Chapter one: welcome Home.
Chapter summary: finally, after so long of arguing, craving to get out of the heat, wanting to be with your dad and go home. Your mother finally agreed. You were on your way back to forks.
This chapter will contain? Bella is stand-off-ish (what else is new), Charlie is the best dad he could be, fluff, and readers' first day in forks.
Tumblr media
You ran to your Dad; he had been waiting for you leaning against his car a smile on his face, happy both his litter girls were home. His arms were wide open for you, "Dad!" you screeched as you let your body crash into him, you missed your dad. You hated being away from him, and while Bella took to your mother, you were and always will be a daddy's girl.
Charlie looked at you, pulling away his hands resting on your shoulders. "wow. Look at you!" you smiled as you brushed soft curls from your face, "My little girl, grown up!.. Well. Not grown up too much. You're still my baby girl you hear me?" you laughed as you nodded your head. "well. What do you say we go home, sweetpea?"
The drive back wasn't painfully long, time seemed to fly catching up with your favorite parent. You told him about how you found a love for fashion, how you missed forks, how good it was to not be in constant heat.
Pulling to the house you could barely remember still felt good and nostalgic, "who's truck?" you asked confused. Maybe Dad got a new car? "oh, yeah that's Bella's got her it as a welcome home gift." he paused then looked down then to you, "Well...now I feel bad I didn't think to get you something." you smiled at up at your dad, you loved Charlie. "it's ok dad, im just happy to be home."
He smiled at the use of the word home, giving a cheery "let's go!" you practically bounced to the front door. Ready to get in the house and race up to your old room wanting to see what had been made of it.
As soon as Charlie opened the door you rushed up the stairs, Charlie letting out a chuckle locking the door behind him before following after you, "Slow down! I'm getting old I can't chase after you like I used to!" he huffled with a smile.
Your room was untouched. Just as it always has been. Twin bed, white ruffled bed frame, light dusted pink walls, soft carpet, chipped white painted bedside table and dresser, the vanity in the middle of the wall near the window. It was perfect. Just as it always has been.
But then it hit you, "Wait. Where's Bella?" you turned to a slightly out-of-breath Charlie, "Oh, well. She's got this new... Boy. Friend. A friend she's been hanging out with recently." he mumbled unsettled by the topic, Bella... Your sister. Your awkward, no-fun, book-loving, blend-in-with-the-crowd sister Bella. Was out late... With a guy?
Maybe this whole moving to forks thing was a really good thing for her.
"oh! Before we do anything else someone wants to see you!" you focus your attention back on your dad and not on your thoughts as you tilt your head, you just got here who would want to see you already? Charlie was now the one rushing down the steps to open the door, you laughing and closing on his heel.
"[Name!]"
"Billy!"
" Hey [name]"
"JACOB!"
You hugged Billy, before pulling Jacob down to your height and messing with his hair, he laughed and 'struggled' in your grip. You always loved Jacob, he always followed you around when you were younger. You were a year older than him and Bella, they always wanted to hang out with you, no matter where you went Jake and Bells were close behind you.
"im happy to see you [name], im glad to have my two best friends back." you really hugged Jacob this time. No longer the little boy you had to protect from the other older kids like Paul.
Feels so long ago.
Just then a car pulled up to the house, an expensive car at that.
Out came Bella still in her loose hoodie, layered shirts, unbrushed hair pulled back with a plain headband, baggy jeans, and a brown book bag. Yup. Same old Bells. But then came out a boy. Pale as could be with fluffed-up hair, nothing noticeable with what he was wearing, he looked like 'random guy in a crowd #4' the one thing that stood out was his eyes. Pricing gold eyes.
He stared at you, an odd expression on his face. His Face contorted like he was in pain. Looking you up and down.
From your softly curled hair, light eye make-up blushed cheeks, and plump lips, the loose complementary scarf that clung loosely around your shoulders, your tight top, fuzzy sweater, skirt, leggings, and fluffy leg warmers, what was this guy staring at?
His eyes shifted to Billy and Jacob and he made a face, one that shifted from pain. To disgust. You narrowed your eyes, just what in the hell was this guy's problem?!
Then what made you realize you had work to do, and a serious chat to have.
When your Dad smiled at your sister slightly opening his arms and giving a "Hey sweetie Bells!" she made and face heading in side with a mumbled "hi Charlie."
... Oh fuck no.

Muffin, what is your favorite March sister from Little Women? Do you think Jo or any of her sisters would survive Edward?
Well, I'll answer your second question first.
Who Survives Edward?
The funny thing is that most people survive Edward quite easily. If you're an ordinary person who's not on Edward's 1920's hit list then he pays you very little mind and you never really interact with him. For all Jessica annoyed him, she was never in danger from him, nor was Angela, nor many of the other characters we meet.
Even Mike wasn't Edward's concern until Edward became obsessed with Bella and decided Mike was his rival.
So, the March sisters would all be absolutely fine. The likelihood of them smelling as good as Bella is very small, remember Aro's 3500 years old and he hasn't come across his own singer once. Edward's probably not going to run into another singer and it's very unlikely to be one of the March girls.
Now, if they smelled as good as Bella...
Beth and Meg have the best shot at it. Jo is too assertive and too myopic, Edward wouldn't approve of her treatment of Laurie and then her getting upset when Laurie goes and marries Amy. Amy is too self-centered (look, guys, the recent movie was made by Amy stans and I have to go off the book here but even in the recent movie Edward would see it this way).
Beth is incredibly sweet and caring and actually kind of what Edward believes he loves in Bella. She's caring at great cost to herself and with no resentment after scarlet fever destroys her health, she's the heart of keeping her dysfunctional family together, she even sweetly plays piano. Her sickly nature after the fever would also be a bonus for Edward as it means that they're in a doomed romance where woe he could turn her and remove all her health problems but he can't and she's very likely to die young. It also means she'll always need him to care for her and adds to her Victorian style frailty. Beth, for her own part, being the youngest and generally overlooked for her sisters because of her health/youngness/sweetness would probably be very flattered and into this mysterious hot boy who is paying attention to her.
Beth might very well survive until she dies of health complications.
Meg might get by in that she's generally... tolerable. She does what's best for her/the family, does what Aunt Marge thinks is best, and quietly gets married and lives her life the way she's supposed to. The trouble is if she attracts Edward's notice...
Without Bella's mental shield I don't think he's convincing himself she has an entirely different personality and I don't see him being into her. I take it back, Meg dies.
My Favorite March Sisters
I like all of them except Meg, I find Meg boring, which is kind of the point of her, so I guess it works out.
EDIT:
I forgot Beth is the second youngest, not the youngest who is Amy.

Cullen Family w/ Prompt 2
Summary: Reader is the youngest adopted daughter of Carlisle and Esme Cullen, but she's human. The Cullens have done their best to protect her, so when they receive a phone call from her on Carlisle's day off, they react... intensely.
"I'm at the hospital"
Edward Cullen couldn't remember the last time he'd seen his surrogate father take a day to himself that didn't revolve around going for a hunt. There he was, though, on the couch with the remote in his hand, turning on a movie as if he hasn't seen it a million times. He was probably there for the premiere. Still, he rests his ankle on the opposite knee and seems to sink into the cushion behind him.
"Y/N has cheerleading practice today, right?" Esne asks Edward, relaxing into Carlisle's side. Edward nods. "She's there until 4:30. Do you want me to pick her up after?"
"If you don't mind, just make sure you're not reckless with her in the car please." The Cullen clan had always been cautious with their favorite fragile human, but none more than Esme. She'd finally gotten a child that she could raise at least a little, to take care of when she got sick, and to coddle and love the way she'd always wanted. She would remind each of her other adopted children to be careful with her youngest, even after years of Y/N living with them.
"Of course, and thanks Alice, no I wasn't expecting a call." The phone was in Edward's hand before it rang, thanks to his sister's clairvoyance and his own telepathic abilities. He smiled softly as he read the caller ID and answered after the first buzz.
"Hey Y/N/N? What's up, is practice done early?" Edward heard a muffled sob on the other end of the phone and immediately he stood up. "Y/N?"
"Eddie, I'm at the hospital." He bristled and turned to Carlisle and Esme, who, thanks to their enhanced hearing, were already ready and heading out the door. "Alright honey, we're on the way, okay?"
Edward didn't have time to think about which of his siblings just flew past him and out to the car. He was right behind them, still on the phone with his baby sister. "Y/N, can you tell me what happened?"
He hears another soft sob across the line and his unbeating heart shatters. "It's my arm, my season is over." He has an idea of what's happened now.
"Of course, the one time I'm not at the hospital... she's alone right now". Edward can tell Carlisle is frustrated with himself, but even Alice didn't seem to know what had happened until Edward had gotten Y/N's call. Esme rests her hand on her husband's knee. He only picks up speed until they're right outside the hospital.
"Where's my daughter?" Carlisle storms into the lobby and to the counter, where the receptionist seems a bit shocked to see him. "Dr. Cullen, I thought it was your day off." Carlisle, usually cool and collected, couldn't be patient with the woman. "Where is my daughter?"
"Dr. Cullen, right this way." A tall brunette waved the family over. "I see the whole gang is here. Y/N fell on her arm while a stunt went wrong and her bases couldn't catch her. She'll be out for several weeks, possibly months, unfortunately. She doesn't seem to mind the broken bone, just that she won't be able to finish out the season with her team."
He stopped them outside of a room and pushed open the door for them, allowing Carlisle to enter first. He immediately dropped to his knees beside his girl. "Hey sweetheart, I heard you took a fall at practice. Are you okay? Do you need any more pain medicine? Did you hit your head?"
The girl looked at her father, tears pooled in her eyes, then glanced at Edward. He moved closer, grabbing the hand that wasn't casted. "I know it sucks, not being able to finish this season, but you need to heal and you won't be able to if you go right back to tumbling."
"I know, but it just... I'm the flyer. How are we supposed to do any stunts now? Nobody knows any of the flyer's routine but me. I feel like I'm letting everyone down."
"You're not letting anyone down" Esme interjected immediately. "Nobody can blame you for your injury, no one can hold you accountable."
"If they do, just tell them your brothers wouldn't mind having a chat."
"Emmett, no need to make threats. Y/N/N, would you feel better if we got some ice cream?" Carlisle always seemed to know what to say to cheer her up. She nodded and Carlisle stood, ready to go back to the receptionist desk, apologize for how he'd spoken to her in his panic, and fill out Y/N's discharge papers. Nobody could really blame him for how he'd acted, though. She was his little girl, after all.

Edward Cullen x Salvatore!reader Salvatore brothers x platonic!reader
Word count: 0.7k
Proofread: Mostly
Warnings: Angst, Damon being a bad brother, fighting (kinda), yelling
Part 1/?
Tumblr media
My phone was buzzing like crazy as I got ready for the party, I assumed it was the group chat I had with my friends. We were all pretty excited for the party, it was supposed to be the biggest of the year. I spent all afternoon doing my makeup and making sure my outfit was perfect. I had to look flawless as most of my boyfriend’s family were going to be there. Edward had spent hours begging his siblings to come, hoping that we could all hangout together. After I finished getting ready I gathered my brothers and our friends into the living room.
The first time our families met didn’t go very well, the night ending with arguing and Damon storming out. The Cullens left shortly after that after I apologized profusely to Carlisle. We’ve both hung out with each other’s family and gotten along well, both becoming part of the other’s family.
“Before we leave I need to talk with you guys,” I started, “Edward and his family are really important to me so I need you to be on your best behavior tonight, meaning that you at least try to get along with them.”
After I got all of them to agree we all shuffled out the door, all planning to ride together. I smiled as I read the text from Edward saying he talked to his family too and that they were on their way. Caroline nudged my shoulder teasingly when she saw me smiling at my phone. She was always pretty supportive of our relationship, making her one of my best friends. She completely understands how our friends tend to act around other vampires they don’t know.
As I climbed out of the car I immediately saw Edward standing by his car with his family, talking and laughing together. I shot Damon a look as we walked over, if he messes this up again I am definitely locking him in the basement. I knew he got the message when he rolled his eyes with a sigh.
When we reached Edwards car I gave him a small hug and greeted the rest of the family with a smile. I could tell that he was nervous by how tightly he was holding my hand as our families started to speak again, Caroline politely greeting everybody as we all walked into the party.
“God I hope tonight goes well,” I sighed as I leaned my head on Edward’s shoulder.
“Me too, love” he mumbled, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
It had been a few hours since the party started and it seemed to be going well, Stefan keeping his promise to make sure Damon didn’t do anything stupid. My nerves have calmed down a bit from the alcohol in my system.
Just as I went to get another drink I heard yelling from the other side of the room. By the time I got there Stefan was holding Damon back while Emmett was dragged in the other direction by Edward.
“Seriously,” I yelled, mostly at Damon, “you couldn’t control yourself for one night? God, you’re the oldest out of all of us, would you act like it for once?!”
Stefan and Jeremy pushed Damon outside while I went to talk to Edward. I found him sitting in the backyard with the rest of his family by his side.
“I am so sorry about him,” I said to them, “Damon can be very…stuck in his ways at times”
“It’s alright, y/n, you don’t need to apologize for him,” Emmett sighed,” but I think it’s best that our families stay away from each other for a while.”
I looked over at Edward, tears pricking my eyes as I realized that he agreed, we needed to stay away until we could both get a hold of our siblings. I nodded my head and turned away, walking back inside before I let a tear fall.
As I walked up to my room I realized something, Damon had promised he would never let us be happy, and he set on keeping his promise.

For the Best
Tumblr media
Summary: They had given Mia three-thousand miles to process all that had happened with Edward, Bella, and the Volturi. The road trip from Forks to Ithaca with Jasper was planned for her benefit, to allow her time to think, time to sort herself, while the rest of the family was already back in their old home and getting resettled within the familiar walls they’d left less than a year before. It hadn't been enough. Mia still didn't feel sorted or settled or ready to forgive her brother for all that had passed between them, for all of the things that hurt, but had nothing to do with her.
Characters: Edward Cullen & Mia Cullen (OC)
Request (from anon): How about #55 with Edward (Twilight)? Congrats on 500 followers love! You deserve that and so much more!❤
Content Warnings: Angst (no fluff at all), Mentions of Death, The Volturi, Mentions of Suicide, Depression, Mia draws the wrong conclusion about her mental health issues/ social support available to her (I feel like this one might at some point require the fluff of a part 2), minimal proofreading
A/N: Wanted to note that I think Mia and Edward have both come to very wrong conclusions on a lot here. Our brains are really tricky and they can be real jerks, convincing us of some pretty damaging things that simply are not true. If you’re hurting, reach out for support even if your brain is telling you it’s better for you to keep it all inside, even if your brain is telling you no one cares. I promise, it’s not better and there are people out there who care and want to support you. Take care, my loves. ❤️

Please take a moment to tell me what y'all think! Reviews and comments are always appreciated. 😌❤️
Mia sat on the floor of her bedroom as her brother settled against the frame in the open doorway. She had a fleeting wish that she could go back in time and shut her bedroom door properly, not that she had the type of family who would respect such a thing as a closed door, but at least it would have given her more of a warning.
"Hey."
Mia snorted at Edward’s grand opening. They hadn’t spoken properly since they arrived back in Forks, with Mia enacting the sort of silent treatment Carlisle didn't often allow to hold between his children for any significant measure of time. He usually took a more engaged approach in helping to repair a damaged relationship. He usually knew just the thing needed to mend and fortify a bond between siblings, but this time, their father left Mia and Edward to settle things on her own, with no prodding or prompting or confining them to the same room for hours until they worked it through. Carlisle hadn’t even broached the topic with his daughter in any sense beyond acknowledging the situation existed. Mia figured that meant some part of her father felt she was right to be upset and some part of her felt her anger fortified by that.
They had given Mia three-thousand miles to process all that had happened with Edward, Bella, and the Volturi. The road trip from Forks to Ithaca with Jasper was planned for her benefit, to allow her time to think, time to sort herself, while the rest of the family was already back in their old home and getting resettled within the familiar walls they’d left less than a year before.
But it hadn't been enough. Mia didn’t feel sorted or changed. She didn’t feel as though the time had done her any good, nothing in her shifting after she considered all of the pieces she’d been given—the secondhand bits of knowledge passed by her mother and father—from Emmett, Rose, Jasper, and Alice. None of it had come from Edward, not much had come from him in the whole time he’d been gone, really. Somewhere along the line, Mia had stopped asking questions to or about him. She had stopped reaching out. She had stopped speaking with him even when he did call.
But even so, Mia knew enough to be upset and confused and hurting, feelings she’d come to accept as commonplace, simply part of her now.
She knew that Alice had seen Bella jump off a cliff.
And she knew that Rosalie had told Edward what had happened.
And Mia knew that Edward had gone to the Volturi. She knew her brother had begged for death. She knew that he sought it out in his own way when he was politely declined by Aro, Marcus, and Caius.
And Mia knew that Bella had now made the same arrangement with the Volturi that her father had once negotiated for her, the permission to live as a human for now traded for the promise that she would one day be turned—both of them deemed suitable enough of an asset to be afforded a temporary extension of their mortal life.
Mia hadn't attended the family vote on the matter, shutting herself away in her father's study for the duration and locking up her mind, protecting herself from her siblings’ presumably well-intentioned intrusions, protecting herself from releasing anything she intended to keep locked inside. She’d been doing that quite often these days.
"Mia—"
Mia met her brother's eye for a moment, the first time in days that she'd even looked at him. She shook her head, a bit unsettled by the fact that her gaze had been enough to silence him, intimidated by the fact that Edward was tentative of her. She looked back to the books she'd scattered across the carpet to organize before replacing them on her shelves.
Mia clocked Edward’s movement as he took a step over the threshold, but she didn't acknowledge him.
"We're going to have to talk eventu—"
Mia tossed her copy of War and Peace into a new pile, a satisfying thud sounding as the tome slammed against the hardwood, cutting off Edward’s words.
"We won't,” she said, a great effort set into considering her well-worn copy of The House at Pooh Corner. She ran her fingers over the antique cover before gently setting it on the top of a pile. “You'll graduate and marry and Bella will—"
Edward cleared his throat, taking another step further into the room as he readied himself to correct her, but Mia shook her head, cutting him off before he could even get started. She did it without even sparing him a glance, knowing his mouth would be opening for a rebuttal to argue against her. She didn’t want to hear it. She didn’t want his excuses or platitudes.
"You'll leave us behind," Mia ground out, tossing another book on the pile. "You've done it before."
Edward nodded, settling against the empty bookshelf. "I did. And at the time, it was for the best.”
Mia swallowed, rage bubbling up inside of her at Edward’s words, all of it ready to spill out. "For the best?” she scoffed. “What if I did that to you? Would you think it was for the best or would you hate me? You were gone for months without a single word, Edward! Who exactly was that best for?"
"You," he offered. “It was best for you.”
Edward hadn’t thought about it when he first left. He’d been too consumed with his own wants and needs to consider his sister’s, but he had thought of it a handful of times since being home. Despite her anger, Edward was nearly certain that his sister had benefitted from his absence. She’d somehow come out of the time apart stronger—more resilient, less dependent.
She'd grown.
It had been good for her to be away from him.
She had been better off without.
"Look at you now, Mia."
Mia swallowed the hard lump in her throat. It was all she could manage considering the thoughts rushing through her mind at her brother’s words.
Look at you now.
Mia usually tried not to look at herself. She tried not to think too hard about who she’d become because when Mia looked at herself...when she really allowed herself to see the girl who stared back in the mirror after the last six months, she didn’t like what she saw. She didn’t like the girl who’d made it by—just barely—struggling to sleep, fighting with the people to whom she’d once quite easily agreed, put off entirely by the idea of school work, put off by the idea of family, put off by almost everything she’d once enjoyed, courting her own company more than anyone else’s, more occupied with her own pain than that of anyone around her, more concerned with being angry with the people who had left rather than being grateful for the ones who had stayed.
Mia thought back on the fights she’d had with her mother and her father, the ways in which she had pushed Alice and Jasper away, and she hated herself for it. She hated herself almost as much as she hated Edward for leaving. Almost as much as she hated Emmett and Rose for taking time to be a couple on their own, accessible to her on a per diem basis, present to her hurt only when it suited their schedule, seemingly able to forget that one of their family was gone when she was reminded of it every day.
Mia had hated the three of them for simply not being there almost as much as she hated Rosalie for her part in Edward going to Volterra, almost as much as she hated Edward for what he’d only put a stop to for his girlfriend’s sake, only brought around and brought home to them because Bella had jumped into his arms at the right moment, mere seconds before it would have been too late…
Seconds later and Edward would have left them for good.
Mia hated herself most of all though. She hated that she hated, hated that her family’s actions could do that to her. She hated that Edward’s absence could change her in this way. She hated that she cared enough about her brother to pass her ire off to the rest of them. She hated that she’d let herself become someone she barely even recognized.
The old Mia would have forgiven him already. It may have taken some gentle nudging by her father, but she would have done it. She would have shown compassion and understanding. She would have listened. She would have talked. She would have shown empathy, foregoing her rage in the name of love and family. She would have forgiven herself somewhere along in the process, too, but Mia wasn't that girl anymore.
And she didn't know if she could let go of the anger long enough to shift that way because, above all, the anger had become a comfort. The hate she felt toward them and toward herself was somehow safer than the pain of the hurt and the fear that haunted her beneath the rage.
“You’ve been better off without—”
Edward stopped himself, nearly choking on the words as an almost physical force hit him. He could suddenly hear his sister’s thoughts, Mia’s words coming at him though there was still silence settled between them. Each fragment of a thought came quicker than the last, louder than the last, more pained than the last, all of the sentiment Mia had pent up over nine months’ time, all of the anger and hate and self-loathing, all of the pain and hurt she kept hidden deep within her.
Edward had expected his sister's anger. He had braced himself to withstand it when he came to her room to try to set things right, but he had never expected this. He had never Mia to direct the bulk of it at herself. He’d never actually expected her to feel that amount of pain. Edward hadn't thought his sister was capable of feeling even a fraction of the hurt that he’d been holding, almost as if he believed that he held a monopoly over this particular type of agony. The realization that Mia had been feeling this way, was still feeling this way...the weight pressing down against him—the weight of Mia’s pain—nearly crushed him and all Edward wanted to do was take it away from her and fix it—to soothe it, to soothe her.
“Mia, this was never about—”
“I know!” Mia shouted, her eyes and her thoughts snapping shut at the sounding of her brother’s voice. “It’s not about me,” she continued, her ragged breath breaking on a sob as her brother’s unfinished words hung between them.
It wasn’t about her. None of what happened over the last nine months was about her. Mia knew that, but knowing that didn’t make it any of it hurt any less. She looked at her brother's face through tear-stricken eyes. She saw her pain reflected there, confusion and horror etched in his features.
It had been a fleeting look, something Mia wasn't meant to catch, but it was more than enough for her to decide that her relationship with Edward had changed too much for her to set any of this on him. He wasn't the brother who could take this on anymore. He wasn't the one to help her sort through the pain or soothe the hurt. And he’d moved on. They all were moving on and making plans, even if Mia felt stuck in it.
Everyone was giving her space, giving her time to process, to shift, to follow. Mia had thought she was grateful for it, grateful that her mother, father, and siblings were leaving her be, but maybe that hadn't really been for her benefit either. Maybe it was just that her pain was too much for everyone else to deal with, too much for her to be sharing, too much for them to be expected to fix... Maybe they were just ready to move on, to move past this. Mia closed her eyes and pushed it all back down, fitting the pain back into the dark depths. She put the hurt and loneliness back on the shelf of her heart and covered it all with her anger and some part of her accepted that even if it hurt, this was better.
It was for the best that she kept it to herself. Mia had never understood the real benefit of her mental shield. She couldn't protect anyone else with it. She couldn't shield anyone but herself, but she'd always thought of her gift as protection from the outside world, a protection from bad things. Maybe Mia's real gift was protecting the world from herself, to protect her family from the darkest, most horrible parts of herself.
Had Mia said as much, her brother would have readily corrected her, but Mia didn't say as much. She didn't say anything.

Under threat from my sister @awkwardlysarah I have been forced to return to this hellsite in the middle of a delirious long day to post what she has informed me is the best idea she has ever had. please share and show her some love so that she thinks i’m a cool older sister and not just a tired grad student with a nostalgic affection for this series. Seriously she’s really excited about this post and I love her so make her happy or else :) Without further ado:
The Cullens as Different K-Pop Fans
Disclaimer: this is all my @awkwardlysarah head canons not my sister’s @queertwilight. I decided to combine my love for K-pop with my sister’s love for twilight. My qualifications are that I’ve been listening to K-pop for 6 years, so I kinda know a lot. Also no hate to any of the artists mentioned, you can have your own opinions and I’ll have mine. Silly little post enjoy!
Edward:
Tumblr media
-exclusively listens to K-drama OST’s
-mainly for the instrumental and piano
-listens to the Best KDRAMA OST: of all time playlist and ranks them by instrumental
-secretly does watch K-dramas but claims its to help “appreciate” the music, has cried to almost every drama he’s seen
-Does not understand the appeal of K-Pop groups, prefers what he believes to be the classics
-Though, Alice once showed him RM’s album Mono and is now his biggest fan
-“No, you don’t understand guys if I met Namjoon we would get along perfectly. We could go on a museum date together and talk about life.”
-Loves RM’s newest release Indigo and locked himself in his room to reflect on the lyrics in the album.
-He too, mourns the loss (of what would have been) his 20’s
Rosalie:
Tumblr media
-she is such a baddie with her K-pop taste
-mainly a 2nd gen girl group stan, but dips her toes in 4th gen (mainly AESPA) because Emmett showed her a couple groups
-also loves soloists-mainly IU and BIBI and DPR
-BIGGEST 2NE1 and 4minute stan there is (prays on YG and Cube’s downfall)
-if the songs are about being bad bitches then Rosalie is listening to them
-she can low key body any rap by CL
-has her more mellow moments when listening to Girl’s Generation and IU
-overall supports her girlies
-will fight trolls online that try to discredit any of the girls’ careers (
-has made multiple accounts deactivate because she proved them so wrong they could not show their faces online again
Emmett:
Tumblr media
-OH BOY
-when Emmett discovered K-pop it was like opening up a portal that could no longer be closed
-he had casually stanned 3rd gen groups (since Alice listened to them)
-but then he found LOONA and other girl groups
-Rosalie low key curses this day btw
-became the biggest Orbit and Chuu stan
-“Emmett we have to go save Bella, she’s in danger.”
“Idk, maybe if she stanned LOONA this wouldn’t have happened.”
-is a photo card collector (Rosalie put a stop to this after he spent 3K on a Chuu broadcast photo card and getting scammed trying to buy other pcs)
-when I tell you he was so devastated that Chuu was kicked out of LOONA
-he didn’t have the strength to go hunting for DAYS
-helped boycott BlockBerry Creative #freeLOONA
-he does also dabble in boy groups; mainly Enhypen because he thinks they are actual vampires. (No one tell him it is just a concept it would break his heart, he streamed Bite Me for days because he felt SO seen).
Alice:
Tumblr media
-MY MULTISTAN QUEEN!!!
-she knows everything about every group (obvi) and knows which groups are unproblematic
-runs an undercover KPOPpredictions twitter account where all her visions go
-Loves groups mainly for lore/storyline purposes
-like TXT, BTS, ENHYPEN, ATEEZ, EXO, etc. she LOVES a good storyline
-does theories on her main stan blogs about what she believes the MVs mean for the overall story
-always has people commenting on her theories about how right she is.
-is also a K-pop dance/lifestlye influencer
-give her 10 minutes and she WILL know the entire dance-will upload and edit it almost instantly
-has been featured in KCON dream stages and has been able to dance alongside some of her fav groups
-love planning her outfits for concerts and giving people inspiration on her social media platforms
“You need help coming up with vampire themed outfits for Enhypen’s upcoming concert, say no more I’ve got just the looks for you!”
Jasper:
Tumblr media
-some of y’all may be a bit mad about this one…
-he’s the problematic K-pop stan
-like his playlist is CONTROVERSIAL
-liked sticker when it first released (believed the flute is what tied it together)
-low key a Jay Park stan on main
-…and a super junior apologist
(what did you expect he literally was a confederate solider)
-If a group has a cowboy concept he will be all over it tho, “takes me back to my roots.”
-will start shit online because he knows in the end he can control their emotions
-loves those unpopular k-pop opinion videos
-Alice does try to get him away from the problematic side of K-pop and it does kinda work, but like quitting human blood it takes him some time
-not a big stan, he’s kinda in it for the drama and to be an instigator

my most evil inquisitor lore is that my trevelyan has a sister who died in the kirkwall circle just before the chantry explosion and cullen had a massive crush on her. she looked just like her. many implications.
#she was caught trying to escape and had to be made tranquil#cullen signed the papers but he warned her ahead of time which gave her a chance to. well you know.#and that was his tipping point turning him against meredith's rule.#he DOESN'T know she was a trevelyan though bc her parents were so ashamed of having a mage child they made her change her name#and he just doesnt make the connection between two blonde girls. he just thinks he has a type.#until. on THE wedding day. hawke is invited (because my trev has a crush on him. and is desperately mad of his tall blonde wife who she saw#when she snuck a glance at his locket one time. she lied about reading tale of the champion.)#anyway bethany sees her and is like. wait. she looks exactly like this woman i was in love with in the circle.#and she puts the pieces together. realises shes marrying CULLEN of all people. and is like oh fuck.#and she like. warns her. but at that point what can you do? the wedding is arranged and trevelyan is a massive public figure#so she walks down the aisle towards a man who is a) possibly only into her because he's chasing the ghost of her dead sister b) possibly the#reason her sister is dead c) actually kind of evil now that she's hearing stories about him from bethany#sorry the dai romances are boring to me i need to inject toxicity and horror into them to be interested.#anyway. all this to say that cullen kisses mary on the forehead when she reaches him at the altar and everyone who Knows (several people#by this point. dorian was there as well so he's been whispering) goes dead silent

Love a little five line fanfic fun. Let’s go with:
There's an art to getting your way, and spitting watermelon seeds across the table isn't it.
Tumblr media
“There’s an art to getting your way, and spitting watermelon seeds across the table isn’t it.”
Carlisle’s words fell short on those he had aimed them at as he walked into the kitchen. It was yet another balmy day, the sun high in the cloudless sky, and so the Cullens were on one of their premeditated sick days. Most of the household were out in the forest, steering clear of humanity, but you and Emmett had apparently discovered a rather...interesting way to spend your time.
No response came to Carlisle. Instead, Emmett pointed an accusatory finger in your direction. “Cheater!”
“I didn’t cheat!” you protested.
“You ducked before I spat the seed!”
“I did not!”
Carlisle, unsurprisingly intrigued, leant back against the kitchen counter and crossed his arms over his chest. “What exactly are you doing?”
“It’s a game,” you said, reaching over the table to brush some stray seeds back towards your pile. “We’re seeing who can hit each other the most with seeds.”
“Yeah, and I’m winning,” Emmett unhelpfully chipped in, picking up a seed between two fingers.
Carlisle delicately rose a brow as another disagreement between the two most rambunctious of his family broke out. He was never not entertained by your interactions, whether you’d made a competition out of who could polish the cars the quickest or who could bake a cake with the most absurd ingredients but still have it taste good (your tester being Bella, of course). The two of you were to be reckoned with, laughed at, and feared.
“Ow—Emmett!”
Carlisle turned back to the kitchen table just in time to watch you slam a hand against your ear as Emmett spluttered in laughter. You shot up from your chair and tilted your head completely to the left, repeatedly hitting the other side of your face. Before he could ask either one what had happened, you shrieked.
“Dad! Emmett spat a watermelon seed in my ear!”
Twilight Masterpost
send me the first sentence of a fanfic and i’ll write the next five, except i don’t know when to stop writing so i guarantee there’ll be more than five

Gonna be writing HC for something, depending if people want it or not I might make it a full series 👀
Prompt? Being Bella's older sister, only you are a fabulous fashion diva who isn't afraid to read a bitch and you've got a big attitude.
Basics: [name] Swan, adopted Bella's older sister. You are your sister were very different. She "wasn't like other girls" and thought make-up and dressing up was stupid, she kept to herself and didn't start trouble (unless it benefits her) you on the other hand didn't give a shit about "being like other girls" you liked make-up and dressing up and you did it for you, you didn't give a shit who didn't like it or who called you "too much" or your personal favorite "over the top" and unlike Bella, you could be a bit messy, you didn't care who it was you would call anyone out. (you've called out your mom one too many times and now you are her can't stand each other) that's why shortly after Bella left home to Forks you soon followed, you always liked your dad more, he was nicer and didn't do anything you found worthy of calling out. He was only ever trying to help you and your sister. This is why you were less than pleased to see your sister has gone out of her way to disregard your Dad to spend time with some stuck-up, racist, posh, incest family. You were gonna have some words with her.

Unexpected?
Edward Cullen/Sam and Dean Winchester/Castiel (R)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Twilight and Supernatural crossover. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Y/n Winchester was looking around a shop in a small town in Washington called Forks. She had been living in the cosy town for a couple of years now. Her younger brothers didn't know about her staying there and making a life for herself. Castiel had found out thanks to the zip zapping of his angel powers. She knew he was keeping tabs on her. While she was minding her own business and debating on what to get, she hadn't noticed a brown haired male come up behind her until he wrapped his arms around her waist while kissing her cheek. She let a squeal out.
"It's only me n/n. So have you decided on what to get?" He reassured her as he had put his chin on her shoulder.
"Geez, Edward stop doing that you going to end up giving me an heart attack." Y/n spoke as she turned in his arms and wrapped hers around his neck. "And yes I have chosen, if you must know." She finished.
As they were talking they hadn't noticed a tall 'moose' or a short 'squirrel', as Crowley likes to call them, and an angel that is still learning about the human race. When Edward kisses y/n that's when all hell broke out, again, and they made their presence known. Y/n just stared at them as Edward pushed her behind him, even though he knew that she could protect herself, and stared at the brothers demanding them to tell him what they wanted with y/n. She let a breath out and waved to Cas as Edward and her brothers were arguing.
"So, how long have you been with him?" Cas asked y/n.
"Don't ask," she said looking at him. "I know you have been watching me."  Y/n told him.
Cas looked away from her knowing that she has caught him red handed. Y/n let a sigh out as she looked towards her brothers and boyfriend, she shacks her head as she calls Edward who quickly makes his way over to her and holds her face to see what is wrong. She puts her hands over his and holds them as she pulls them away from her face with a smile on her face.
"Nothing is wrong." She reassures him as she gives him a kiss on the check. "However, I don't think you want to anger my brothers." She finished explaining.
He agreed with her and held her close and before Sam and Dean could say anything Cas assured them that Edward was safe and would do anything to protect y/n even if it means giving his life, which Edward agreed to. Before they could say anything else, y/n grabbed Edwards hand and quickly left them.
That didn't stop Sam and Dean from visiting their little sister y/n any chance that they got.
The end.
