You made me realize that my family isn’t healthy. I’ve never been physically abused by my mother. But she used my father, my sister, my brother against me. She would actively limit my access to media (and not like inappropriate stuff when I was young but like everything even now) to the point I barely know what’s going on in main stream media unless I was told it word of mouth. She would actively accuse me of villainzing her when I wanted to discuss things with her that bothered me or turn herself into the victim. She called me a liar when I told other people about her and she found out about it. Blames a lot of things on my autism. Denys my pain sometimes when I have it. Refuses to let me eat somethings or only let me eat one portion of that food that day because ‘we have to always follow portion sizes on the box’. And I’m incredibly skinny to the point when I breathe in and you see my ribs. I was nearly r*p*d once my a classmate in middle school and she didn’t believe me. And she threatened me with a wood spoon for a year. And will tell my father when she’s angry at me to punish me for it and he’ll make me do push-ups or wall sits. I don’t even have a working credit card anymore. And there’s a lot more. But thank you for helping me realize this. I never would have started reaching out to friends and others for help if I didn’t find this blog.

Yeah it sounds like there's something she really didn't want you to find out from the media (possibly cases of abuse, information that you could gain about your domestic situation, and stuff you could say to others if you were allowed to interact via internet), it sounds like a cult situation where the sources of information are limited and forbidden, should you accidentally learn something that gives you an insight into abuse, or say something that uncovers your home situation. I'm so sorry you've been cut off like that, it's good to protect the kids from the predators and cults online, but to cut them off from news and socialization is not a reasonable measure.

God I am so sorry you have to struggle so much, it's really insane! Being berated for eating when you're already skinny, she's working to force you into an eating disorder. Blaming your autism on things she caused herself, instead of managing your life to make it easier on you! Not believing an actual attempted sexual assault! That is not only neglectful, that's evil and incredibly dangerous. She even threatened you with violence, she really wants you to be as cornered and scared and alone as possible.

The punishments they're forcing on you aren't normal either, that sounds like an army training and you're a kid, it's inhumane and incredibly painful to be forced to do things against your will when you're already suffering their anger and contempt.

All of these are terrible, I hope you'll manage to get away from them one day, I hope there's anyone you can complain to, remember your parents are scared of you reaching out to people and uncovering what they did to you, because they know it's abusive and wrong. Hang in there, you don't deserve any of that.

Stardew Valley is a cult

Okay, here me out. After a few years of in-game time, and you've pretty much gotten perfection, Pelican Town would start to resemble a cult.

Everyone is best friends with the Farmer. Everyone. They're walking in the streets and suddenly people are just running up to them to say hi and offer them gifts. And then strangely, the farmer offers them gifts back, everything they want, everything they love. None of them know how the farmer knows, but they don't care.

In Zuzu city, there a rumors of a person that dated every single young adult in a town at once, and they were all okay with it. No one knows more. No one dares to find out.

The Farmer is everywhere. People relaxing on the Ginger Island resort were disturbed at first to see the farmer run in from the West of the island, when they weren't on the only boat over and there are no other means of transport onto the island. Upon investigation, they found out they had made a second farm on the island.

The farmer completely paid for a new house for Pam, without even batting an eye. They then also paid for a shit-ton of renovations around Pelican Town.

And then there are the festivals.

At the luau, the Governor of the entire region is quite shocked to see a single person in a funky straw hat and very odd clothes talk to every single person in the town before putting an entire bottle of wine in the potluck. He is then even more shocked when they go up to Lewis, the bloody MAYOR of Pelican Town, and tell them that they can start the serving of the Pot Luck.

Every year from then on until his old age, the Governor realized that the Pot Luck would only be nice if the strange farmer put in something nice, no matter what anyone else put in. He decided to stay away from that one.

The Flower Dance won't start until the Farmer has a partner, or allows it to happen without them. They always find more fish in the ice fishing competitions. They give the best presents at the Feast of the Winter Star.

Whenever tourists visits Pelican Town, they are always unnerved at the people's undying loyalty to this one farmer, but well, they carry a glowing sword everywhere, so who's to judge them?

The cult activities have always been extremely important to c!Dream, as they fed his ego better than anything else, save only for c!Tommy, his Angel, whose his place was above everyone else.

Because of c!Tommy's worth, c!Dream had no choice but to keep his Angel in his possession, safe and sound, and far away from everyone else's greedy hands. It was quite a challenging task, as the two resided in a place full of other people. Although they were already brainwashed and very easily influenceable, c!Dream regarded them as a threat, and couldn't overcome his paranoia, insecurity and jealousy. He was afraid that c!Tommy would end up trusting one of his followers, seeing through his manipulation and blatant lies, and attempting to escape the cult; letting his possession slip out of his hands was the last thing he could tolerate, so he devised his own methods of resolving this issue.

Firstly, he kept c!Tommy at his side at all times, and if it so happened that the consequences forced them to be apart for a while, c!Tommy either remained locked in his room, waiting patiently for his owner's return like an obedient puppy, or stayed in the man's line of sight, so that he could ensure that nothing happened to the teen.

Secondly, he had sabotaged c!Tommy's relationships with the cult members to ensure that the teen trusted no one else but him alone. With time, c!Tommy noticed some of his belongings missing, although he was incredibly careful with them and never misplaced them; c!Tommy was being yelled at by some followers for absolutely no reason, and sometimes received threatening notes on the door leading to his room; not to mention that time when he was attacked by yet another cult member, and feared the possibility of dying, yet before receiving one blow, he had been saved by c!Dream. All those unfortunate events occurred at the request of no other than c!Dream... :) 

Finally, c!Dream began using jealousy as a way of controlling c!Tommy, and increasing his dependence on the man, and clinginess. Although c!Dream never considered the believers human beings, and had absolutely no care for their lives, he sometimes pushed himself to spend more time with them than with c!Tommy, because it made the teen literally erupt with jealousy. 

The man also relished scolding and/or punishing the teen for something extremely insignificant right in front of the cult members, and then rewarding someone else for an achievement of lesser importance the next second. In such moments, c!Tommy felt as if there was something very wrong with it, but didn't dare voice his opinion, because he had learnt the hard way not to defy his owner under any circumstances. 

The most rewarding thing to c!Dream was seeing the teen's obvious distress at the mention of someone else. And the longer the man played this game, the more c!Tommy feared that he would be abandoned in favour of someone else...
