that dfohiko verse AU with toshinori and rikiya as test tube twins
//
WC: ~1000. Fun detail that I didn't actually incorporate in the snippet but I feel compelled to tell you anyway: All for One named Rikiya ("power" + "to be"; riki + ya), and Sorahiko named Toshinori ("genius" + "law"; toshi + nori). This absolutely positively does not give the twins issues about which parent loves them more (big lie).
//
(age seven)
“Who’s older?” Rikiya demanded, because he was canny enough to know that there was something to be held over his brother’s head if he could secure the status.
“What does that matter?” their dad asked, levelly.
Toshinori had other concerns. Dinner, mostly, because their dad had cooked. He usually did when their father was out on business. “I told you they don’t know,” he told Rikiya, digging into his omurice with barely restrained glee. “We got dropped off by a big white bird, so they can’t tell.”
“That’s not what happened,” Rikiya said. “Garaki-hakase said--”
Their dad’s head tilted. “Said what?”
It was not like the doctor had told Rikiya to keep what he had said secret. And, anyway, Rikiya was pretty confident that everyone had to follow what his dad told them to. If not his dad, then definitely his father.
“He said that you and otou-sama ‘knew us from the beginning,’ and that he ‘was there to scream our lungs out for the first time,’” he recited. “But even Garaki-hakase wouldn’t tell me who was older! All he said was that you’d know.”
Their dad made a noise in the back of his throat, like a scoff.
“I guess I could call you Riki-nii,” said Toshinori dubiously. “But Toshi-nii sounds just as good!”
Rikiya looked first at Toshinori’s guileless face, then at the spoon clutched tight in his hand. Before he could throw the spoon, their dad reached over and curled his fingers over Rikiya’s fist. Firm enough to prevent further movement, but not enough to hurt. It was warm.
“What does it matter?” their dad asked again.
“I wanna be older than Toshinori.”
“Because?”
He frowned down into his bowl. Saying what he really wanted out loud would alert Toshinori to what he was missing, and the last thing Rikiya could win at was a competition with his brother to get what he wanted. Toshinori always got what he asked for; Rikiya needed to take it.
“Because I want a younger brother,” he said.
“Can we have a younger brother?!” Toshinori interjected, and at his words, their dad twitched back. Rikiya’s hand felt cold without the restraint.
“No.”
Stated so plainly, flatly, forcefully--it was clear that their dad wasn’t even up to entertaining the idea of a third child, which Rikiya was fine with. But Toshinori didn’t get the message, because he only made an idle humming noise and then said, like it was a cunning loophole, “What about a younger sister?”
“No,” their dad repeated. “The two of you are enough. For us and for yourselves. You don’t need another sibling.”
“Okay,” said Rikiya, “but otou-sama talks about his younger brother all the time.”
“That’s his own deal.”
“Do we have to fight for it? Like, whoever wins is the older one?” It was surprising to hear the question not come out of his mouth, but his brother’s. That was a concern. Toshinori was getting the gist of what was going unspoken. Well, Rikiya thought blackly, it was only a matter of time.
“If I catch either of you starting a fight about who’s older,” their dad intoned, “I’ll end it. The two of you are twins. You’re equals.”
There wasn’t really anything to say back to that. Rikiya sulked into his dinner, and so did Toshinori, but it was definitely for different reasons.
(age eleven)
Toshinori knew Rikiya was glaring at the wall, picturing Toshinori’s neck, and he refused to quail. He got dared, so of course he would follow through. It was just… It was just a little daunting, to have the question put to him, to put to their dad, who wasn’t exactly the greatest at emoting soft feelings.
Still. Toshinori got dared, and so he would dare.
“Tou-san,” he says carefully. He is sprawled on his belly in bed, covers drawn up to his shoulders, sleeping cap wrestled over the ruffled mess of his hair. Half of Toshinori’s face is squished into his pillow, but even half is good enough to peer anxiously up to their dad’s face.
“Yeah?”
“You wanted the both of us, right?”
A strange expression crosses the usually grim countenance. Neither Toshinori nor Rikiya got the eyes of their parents. Toshinori sometimes wishes he looked a little more like Rikiya, who had the curve of their dad’s nose. Their father liked to tease Rikiya by tracing its bend and delighting in its prominent trait, and Rikiya pretended to hate the attention, but Rikiya once told Toshinori that it was definitely preferable to, you know, not having any defined features of their parents.
Probably the worst thing Rikiya’s ever called Toshinori was ‘donor-child’, but considering Toshinori came out of that fight on top, teeth bared and knuckles bruised, Toshinori’s inclined to leave the incident behind them. His father had been weirdly pleased, hauling him off his brother.
“You’re my child,” his father had said, before picking up Rikiya too. “And you are too, Riki. The things we pass on aren’t purely about appearances or meta abilities.”
Backlit by the hallway light, dressed down in casual clothes--their dad wasn’t a househusband the way their father teased him, but Toshinori noticed him wearing the trappings of normalcy for once, and some part of him had thought vulnerability.
“... Yeah,” their dad says, gruffly. “The both of you.”
Toshinori quails first. He lets his eyes slide away, burning in shame, and clears his throat to say a quiet goodnight. Their dad inclines his head, the dusty gray of his hair catching yellow glares, and then he leaves, closing the door shut behind him. They wait in the dark for a long, long minute.
And, quietly, Rikiya says, “He hesitated.”
“He still said it,” says Toshinori, staring at that closed door. Something had gone through their dad’s face, and Rikiya had definitely had his back to them, so it’s up to Toshinori to decipher it. He doesn’t think it was a bad expression. Their dad loves quietly, that’s all. Toshinori shouldn’t have pushed the matter so clumsily into the open.
“He had to. He probably thinks we’ll run to otou-sama and get him in trouble.”
“Stop talking about the worst case scenario like it’s gonna happen,” Toshinori mutters, and he digs his nails into the pillow.
“It’s because you won’t that I have to,” Rikiya sniffs, and there’s a creak of the bedsprings. He’s curling tighter in his blankets, Toshinori would bet anything, because he’s doing the same thing.

Okaayyy thanks God requests are open again dbsbdb I jope tou are fine hun!
As for the request, I dunno of ypu are willing to do but can you do something with time-traveller! Phantomhive! Reader with Ciel, Sebastian and one character that you love? The choice is yours but I'd be pretty happy if you can do it a bit detailed :)
Like reader is from the future, was hunting a witch or something and the witch kinda curses her to stay in the Victorian era or something, she also has a cousin like Elizabeth, then they end up in the manor, the servants and Seb attacks but she easily dodges easily etc. Bonus part if she is cocky, a bit cunning but sweet hdjsjdj
You don't have to write this one ofc I'm already grateful that you read this idea!
Have a nice day Muahh💗🤩❤
I did some headcanons for the whole household, but I did try to do a couple extra for Ciel and Sebastian!
honestly I just love the whole concept of characters meeting their descendants and stuff, and this was fun!! I hope you like it~
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To be perfectly honest, you’re a headache that Ciel is completely unwilling to deal with at first. Not only have you fought with his entire small army of servants, you’re also somehow from the future? And a Phantomhive? Of course, this knowledge means he survives at least long enough that his bloodline doesn’t die. That he’s going to have a child in the future, then maybe a grandchild, and that his family name isn’t going to be swallowed when his soul is… he’s not ready to address those kinds of things and the feelings that go with them.
For the moment, take your… friend? Sister? Cousin? Partner-in-crime, and assist the servants in cleaning up. If he’s stuck with you, he’s not going to let you get off easy for making a mess in his home, no matter who you happen to be. He’ll let you sleep in the servants’ quarters at least for now, but with good behavior maybe you can move to a guest room.
However you got here, you’re still a Phantomhive, so… Sebastian at least seems to forgive your audacity. He’s bound by contract to serve Ciel, which includes making nice with you as his master’s descendant. Certainly, though, should the truth come out, (which it very well may, there’s no sense keeping supernatural secrets from a time traveler), he’ll admit he’s surprised you managed to keep up with him in a fight. If you managed to land a hit, you might have even caused a little bit of pain; the only other mortal who’s ever inflicted any pain on a demon like Sebastian is Lau. Though he may not understand you, he does respect you.
The household really is rather more lively with you around. Even not being dull at the best of times, you appear to bring out that much more chaos when it comes to the rest of the servants. (This is the main reason Sebastian gets easily frustrated with you. You encourage reckless behavior with the people under his supervision, and they all have enough of a problem with that as it is.) Thankfully, it really does seem that you can handle yourself, so in the event of everyone needing to protect the manor, you’re more than able to hold your own alongside the servants.
There’s absolutely no reason for Pluto to not still be around, so you and your cousin might have some fun assisting Finny in wrangling the demon hound. Pluto really prefers Sebastian’s company over anyone else’s… surely, you’re a close second, though, especially because Sebastian doesn’t really like dogs. And, this does mean that practically from the second you meet him, you’ve got a built-in attack demon. You dare anyone to defy you now!! You’ll have London’s worst cowering before you know it.
Speaking of Finny, whenever you or your cousin need a break from all the crazy adventures, he makes it clear you’re always welcome in the garden. There’s a little spot just for you two… in part because he might have a crush on one or both of you, but, mostly because he wants to be nice. Even though none of the others know what’s happened and why you’re here, they do know you’re related to Ciel in some way. That makes the servants want to protect you as well as him. At the end of the day, Finny wants to make sure you have a safe place amid all the chaos. He knows how it can get round this household, and everyone needs some rest.
You’re forever sneaking snacks, sweets, and tea from the kitchen… even behind the servants’ backs. Although Sebastian gives you a stern warning to leave some for everyone else and not ruin your appetite, Bard is your accomplice and is equally as to blame for your sticky fingers. He’ll pretend he doesn’t notice you in the kitchen at all, claiming his back was turned while cooking if he’s questioned about it. More than once he’s loudly proclaimed in full earshot of Sebastian or Ciel that he’s sorry, but he doesn’t want you to spoil your dinner, he has a cup of tea for you and nothing else… while pressing a little bag full of sugar cubes into your hand. Then Sebastian wonders why he has to go buy more in the middle of the week. (… Ciel’s sweet tooth is only rivaled by yours, after all.)
Far as Mey Rin is concerned, thank God, another couple of women!! Despite that she adores her coworkers, sometimes it drives her a little batty not to have another girl round the house. Now she’s got you and your cousin to make conversation and bond with. It gets a bit lonesome unless Lizzie comes over, so, she’s happy to steal you both away for a moment under the guise of making sure she’s made your beds to your liking… only to immediately muss the linens up by bouncing on the beds like a couple of schoolgirls at a sleepover, giggling and talking. Of course, she still does her work, and she’ll fix the bed later; it’s just nice to be able to spend time with other ladies. If you want, and if you don’t know how already, she’ll even teach you to shoot a gun. Even though you shouldn’t need to help protect the manor… well, it’s a dangerous world, so if you want to be prepared to keep yourself safe, she’s here to serve in any way she can.
The one who’s a bit of a toss-up as to how he interacts with you is Snake. He’s nervous around other people in general, and here he is among upper society as a servant, and he doesn’t really know how to behave, so he… often simply stays silent and still just so he doesn’t say or do anything wrong. Mercifully, though, you’re actually a little easier to interact with. It’s like you don’t fully know the social mores yourself, which is a comfort to someone like him who doesn’t either. He still does his best to help you in whatever you might need, despite that it’s in a quiet kind of way. Watching you fight like you do, so much action whereas he’s typically about stealth, he’s mystified. You’re a puzzle, alright. But… he sort of likes having you around.
Ciel has given Sebastian an order that he must obey you, to treat any order from you as if it were an order from Ciel himself. He grants you this privilege as soon as he knows he can trust you not to abuse it, and not a second sooner. It’s almost as if you’ve got your own contract with Sebastian, with all the benefits and none of the risk. (Ciel’s reasoning is that if you really are a Phantomhive, and you’ve proved you aren’t going to betray him, then you deserve the right to access whatever he can give you, including his demon butler.) This irks Sebastian to no end, mainly because he has to follow your orders without the promise of a second meal. Not that your soul would be nearly as enjoyable as Ciel’s, but still, it’s more work for no additional reward. That being said, unless you show incredibly poor judgment in your orders, he can’t complain too much. He’ll fulfill your wishes to the best of his ability, so… whether you use him for good or evil is up to you. Should you take advantage, though, Ciel isn’t above rescinding this order and preventing his attendant from being your plaything.
… You’re not so bad, Ciel supposes. You can fight, you have knowledge the rest of them don’t, and… alright, well, he has a soft spot for determined people like you. If he can help get you home to the right time period, he’ll try to find a way. In the meantime, however, he finds that he doesn’t mind so much having you around. It’s nice to see that the strong will of Phantomhive didn’t stop with him.

can you see what kind of trauma Tim has that’s causing all this? some other reader said he was tou*hed by a older man when he was in school but i don’t remember who said it.
4 of swords: The Knight is clad in a suit of armour and so we must assume that he has been engaged in a battle of some sort and has needed to protect himself. This Knight has been on the front line too long and through injury or just pure exhaustion no longer has the energy or stomach for the fight. He is mentally worn out with the stress in his life. He was running on empty for some time and this crash was bound to happen. He must ask himself what the real problem is and once identified must concentrate his focus on making it his number one priority. The Knight may be receiving help from a doctor, counsellor or spiritual person. He may also have the support of friends and family even though they could find it hard to reach him during his time. He may be withdrawn, uncommunicative and not his usual self.
The Four of Swords typically represents a low time for you. It is a time when friends and family cannot reach you. It can represent a time when you feel that you would be better off dead. You may in fact feel you have died inside. It warns of the potential for mental breakdowns.
The Four of Swords also raises the possibility that you may have got yourself into an unpleasant situation and now find that you cannot face people. You can only keep this up for a period of time and sooner or later you are going to have to deal with the public at large and their opinions of you. You may feel ashamed or guilty of something you have done and have gone to ground and are waiting for the whole thing to blow over.
King of swords reversed: This card represents manipulation, selfishness, and dishonesty. Be cautious, as there may be hidden agendas or unseen factors that could lead to unfavorable outcomes. This could have been someone moving in the shadows, extracting information, and gaining someone’s trust only to turn against them when things go south. An inconsiderate bully who is smart enough to shape his words into a weapon that serves his own needs. In some cases, silence and humility are better than the brutal truth, if it is a truth that hurts. he might represent someone who expects others to obey their will and conform to their truth. Indicates a cunning person who aspires to be a puppet master.
I don’t interpret the cards as such that Timothee has suffered from any trauma in any sexual abuse or such. This is more about trauma that has to do with trusting in the wrong people time after time. Being naive. Being easily manipulated by people who had hidden agendas. Being hurt time and time again for believing in narratives that held no truth. Being thrown into the lion’s cage. Being a target for everyone’s own gain. Being used for money, for fame, for connections, for clout.
The King of Swords, in reverse, can for him also be a warning that his actions are damaging his reputation and his mental stability. It is lonely at the top, and a fine man can turn into a sly, uncivilized brute. Maybe you are repeating the same mistakes, investing your energy in the wrong direction, and wondering why nobody listens to reason. When reversed in the advice position, the King of Swords serves as a warning that your thoughts are turning against you, affecting your image and behavior.

David's Triumphs
Tumblr media
1 After this, David defeated the Philistines, subdued them, and took Gath and its villages from Philistine control. 2 He also defeated the Moabites, and they became David’s subjects and brought tribute.
3 David also defeated King Hadadezer of Zobah at Hamath when he went to establish his control at the Euphrates River. 4 David captured 1,000 chariots, 7,000 horsemen, and 20,000 foot soldiers from him, hamstrung all the horses, and kept 100 chariots.
5 When the Arameans of Damascus came to assist King Hadadezer of Zobah, David struck down 22,000 Aramean men. 6 Then he placed garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Arameans became David’s subjects and brought tribute. The Lord made David victorious wherever he went.
7 David took the gold shields carried by Hadadezer’s officers and brought them to Jerusalem. 8 From Tibhath and Cun, Hadadezer’s cities, David also took huge quantities of bronze, from which Solomon made the bronze reservoir, the pillars, and the bronze articles.
9 When King Tou of Hamath heard that David had defeated the entire army of King Hadadezer of Zobah, 10 he sent his son Hadoram to King David to greet him and to congratulate him because David had fought against Hadadezer and defeated him, for Tou and Hadadezer had fought many wars. Hadoram brought all kinds of gold, silver, and bronze items. 11 King David also dedicated these to the Lord, along with the silver and gold he had carried off from all the nations—from Edom, Moab, the Ammonites, the Philistines, and the Amalekites.
12 Abishai son of Zeruiah struck down 18,000 Edomites in the Valley of Salt. 13 He put garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites were subject to David. The Lord made David victorious wherever he went.
14 So David reigned over all Israel, administering justice and righteousness for all his people.
15 Joab son of Zeruiah was over the army; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was court historian; 16 Zadok son of Ahitub and Ahimelech son of Abiathar were priests; Shavsha was court secretary; 17 Benaiah son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David’s sons were the chief officials at the king’s side. — 1 Chronicles 18 | Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) Holman Christian Standard Bible ® Copyright © 2003, 2002, 2000, 1999 by Holman Bible Publishers. Back translation:
“The Broken Horses”
When I am drunk on wine the screams
Will sometimes cease
I cry alone, the numbness
Is the only release
Some soldiers will say
A battle is Tartarus
We tormenters are tortured
By our victims
And by broken horses, the accusers
Broken horses like those whom I killed
Broken horses riding me down
Broken horses
Βroken horses
“See, the drunk Ulysses was once not only the soldierly Ulysses, but of high rank. So there was a brutal twenty-year siege of Ilium. The brutal war was against the best-defended district of the City. The soldierly Ulysses resolved to win the war.”
The defences of Ilium
Endured for ten years
Heartless and cunning and scheming
I secured the victory
Making peace and leaving
We honored the enemy
The statue which I had built
Was sending a message of hope
And of broken horses, I have only built
Broken horses, blood-guilty
Broken horses, I will not outrun
The broken horses
Broken horses
“Ulysses put forth a solution. Ilium could have both peace and freedom from the hands of the Olympians. The agreements were written, the treaties were signed and sealed, and to commemorate this distinctive occasion, the greatest statue was built in order to honor the fame of the district, for the people of Ilium were famous horse breeders, when such animals still lived. The statue was searched for bioweapons, searched for explosives, searched for hidden soldiers. Nothing was found. And the gift was accepted, and all rejoiced.
“It was, however, not scanned for a faint, nearly inaudible signal which was being broadcast, created by Ulysses in order to drive the listener mad. Within seven days, all in Ilium was being bloodily ripped and torn and rent asunder. When the army finally opened the gates, none were left living. The war was finished.”
Sometimes I forget
The City was not present long ago
The animals which are now destroyed
Once roaming fearless
The Ilians were called equestrians
They honored their past
Only statues remain
For the riders have fallen
From broken horses, silent
Broken horses, like cracked bone
Broken horses, because of me
Broken horses
Broken horses
Broken
.
Translator’s notes:
Line 1: Ancient Greek is rich in words relating to grape-based alcohol and poor in words relating to any other kind, so I have tragically had to replace all references to whiskey, bourbon, etc. with wine.
Line 6–8: Here we come up against differing cultural ideas of “hell.” As far as I know, Ancient Greek only refers to hell in the capital-H sense—here “Tartarus.” The bit about the devils and the nightmares and all that also suffers from being phrased in a difficult-to-translate way, with the conditional clause (“if”) and the idea of “getting nightmares.” I’ve had to be rather more explicit about Ulysses comparing themself to beings which torture and drop the dream metaphor.
Line 9: I’ve been liberal here. “Staring and still” is too long to fit into a Greek line of equivalent length. I’d imagine, though, that a stare leveled by someone still could be considered “accusatory.”
Line 13/26/39: Greek is a language with grammatical cases, so its nouns change form depending on their function in a sentence (think English pronouns). In all these lines, Ulysses switches from saying “broken horses” in the case suiting the last pre-chorus line (as if to add another descriptor) to the vocative case (as if addressing the horses directly).
Narration 1: The grammatical gender of “Ulysses” changes from masculine to feminine. It will alternate between masculine verse and feminine prose for the rest of the song.
What happened to “one of the best-defended districts”? It was too hard to translate. I’d welcome suggestions.
Line 21: “Blood-guilty” came in partly because “shattered by guilt” was too long and partly because I just thought that it was a cool vocabulary word. It literally means “stained by murder” (μιαίνω + φόνος) and is an epithet of Ares. By its nominative case, here the word describes Ulysses, not the horses.
Narration 2: I love the imagery of the City itself being a living thing which catches smaller settlements, but Ancient Greek isn’t big on personification, so the City is replaced here by its rulers, the Olympians.
“Bioweapons”: βίος (life) + ὅπλα (weapons); “explosives”: “things which burst.”
.
Questions and suggestions welcome.

The Thief King 𓆗𓆃
True name: Bakura. Nothing was more protected than one's true name. He often gives an alias.
Alias: Iaret Hedj
Nicknames: Tou, Touzie. Both in modern era.
Age: 25
Height: 5'11 ish
Body: Muscle definition, but still lean enough to fit into tight spaces. Typical scar down right side of face, has various sizes of scars all over the rest of his form. He is capable of taking physical blows quite easily, so punches won't have much effect.
Eye color: Gray-violet
Hair color: white, but can have a very pale purple undertone
Personality: He's fairly detached from people emotionally unless he's given time to bond with someone. This is mostly due to his traumatic childhood. He's wary of people who try to show good intentions, and will keep them at arm's length. Bakura is used to stealing, and it's a habit from instinct and necessity. If he finds something he fancies, he takes it and doesn't think of consequences. He's more into stealing for the thrill.
He also speaks roughly and behaves roughly. Not quite feral, but not quite domesticated either. Once he bonds with someone, though, he showers them with adoration and gifts and is very protective of them.
He's hard-headed and not put off by threat of conflict whether physical or verbal. He will just dig in his heels all the more. Highly confrontational and nearly just as volatile, but calculating and cunning all the same.
Orientation: Complex. In the past, he'd sneak into brothels and the like, but he never developed an actual romantic attachment. Mostly due to not liking vulnerability. Even in the modern era, he has his guard up. He can fall in love, but it's a process.
Ka: Diabound. The ka was originally of divine origin, pure, and strong even without the influence of Zork or the Items. Holy though it was, the darker Bakura's thoughts became and the more the Ring darkened his heart, the more twisted and warped Diabound became. Diabound can also interact with the environment by appearing as a white, winged cobra, and can be seen in glimpses around the thief.
-- Abilities Diabound gives: cloaking, ability to pass through walls, steals abilities of defeated ka.
Childhood - Teens: Mostly he was by himself in Kul Elna from age 7 onwards, with some rather direct or indirect aid from some of the local desert dwelling peoples, travelers and even times when he returned to the actual kingdom a time or two. The help was a rarity. Normally, he'd steal food or other items whenever the opportunity arose and perfected using Diabound for this purpose by the time he was 10. He also heavily communicated with Zorku as time wore on, and the angry spirits of the village. The communication between them darkened his mind more.
Teen years was when he really started dipping into the royal tombs, and he had never been truly captured until his final day alive. It was also during this time he gathered together a small group of robbers, and they had a crime ring (no pun intended) that would steal from tombs and sell off the later melted down gold.
Scar: He received the scar during later childhood and early teen years during his first major attempt at tomb robbing. Bakura was nearly killed during the ordeal, but managed to fully summon and use Diabound to save himself. The monster guarding the tomb managed to scar his face, but had been initially aiming to take off his head. They defeated the monster, and Diabound gained an ability. Bakura also learned a valuable lesson and retreated only temporarily to care for his wounds.
Kul Elna:
Contrary to what the passed around story was, Kul Elna was not a village of thieves, but a village of tomb builders. Similar to the real-life Deir el Medina, the residents helped to create the Valley of the Kings. There were artists, scribes, masons and various others who lived there full time.
However, just like the real life equivalent, Kul Elna had its own share of tomb robbers. Who better to break into the tombs than those who made them and knew of every trap?
Kul Elna had at least six families in on the raiding, a total of about 1,000 residents whose numbers were steadily increasing as the money and support from the Pharaoh ran dry. Ironically, Bakura's family wasn't included with the thieves.
With the villagers starving, it pushed the limits of the people until they were chosen for the ultimate sacrifice to create the Items.
This is how Bakura will often explain things, if he's relaxed enough with the individual to do so. He'll also admit that he can at least read hieroglyphic script because his father was the scribe of the village. He cannot, however, read demotic or hieratic near as well, if at all.
Modern Version:
Resurrected in the modern world, he's often curious about how things work since the main personality of the Ring wasn't really him but Zork. So he finds most modern conveniences to be startling, yet will also adapt quickly.
Otherwise, he's the same in personality. Standoffish to strangers, distrusting, tenacious and vulgar.
He's interested in tech to some extent because he figured out how to hack into Kaiba's monetary accounts at least once. He will steal things that are not bolted down, unless he highly respects the individual and that doesn't happen often.
Bakura's modern clothing style could be seen as more 'relaxed' or casual. T-shirts, jeans, hoodies, tennis shoes (or some boots), etc. Stolen jewelry is also worn. Rings, necklaces, bracelets...
He often will have one tattoo on his left, upper arm, of a cobra swallowing a sun disk.
Diabound is still very much accessible and Bakura is careful about using his Ka unless necessary or during modern raids.
Bakura doesn't really 'work' unless it's considered more part-time along with Mariku (dementedxshade) at a bar. Bakura often produces the objects for selling through thievery by raiding wherever necessary, but can also be seen working as a bouncer at the same locale. It's really dependent on how he feels at the time.
Note: I have been role-playing this character since 2005 or so. Any headcanons here I've had since then and merely brought along with me from platform to platform.

Yura Hatsuki - Witchcraft Album: Witchcraft Lyricist: Yura Hatsuki Composer: Drop
Lyrics:
集え壊せ 我が為に
tsudoe kowase waga tame ni
Gather and destroy, it's my purpose.
静粛なる夜の闇に 白の少女 虚空へ詠う 開け扉 魔の使者共 我の血と旋律に集え 穢れた剣 驕る貴族 命を売り笑う商人 弱き者は身を潜めて 声を殺し 心を殺す
seishukunaru yoru no yami ni shiro no shōjo kokū e utau ake tobira ma no shisha-domo ga no chi to senritsu ni tsudoe kegareta ken ogoru kizoku inochi o uri warau shōnin yowaki-sha wa mi o hisomete koe o koroshi kokoro o korosu
As the night becomes silent, a girl in white, chants to the open sky. Through the open door, demon messengers, gather around my blood and melody. With an unclean blade, an arrogant noble, sells her life like a laughing merchant. The weak hide themselves, kill their voices, kill their hearts.
現れよ 猛き狡猾な獣 贅となる魂 捧げる私を さぁ、喰らいつくせ
araware yo takeki kōkatsuna kemono zei to naru tamashī sasageru watashi o sa~a, kurai tsukuse
It appears! The fierce and cunning beast. I offer to you, my luxurious soul. Come, devour it.
此の世界に光など要らない 願いは虚しく消えて逝く 憎しみこそが力と成る 世界を変えていくの 掴め 腑を 目を 手を! 恐れない 戯れの誓いでも良い 身も意も添え 真の呪をご覧入れよう

There’s no need for things like light in this world where hopes are extinguished in vain. My hatred becomes power, and it will change the world. Seize my reason, my eyes, my hands! I won’t be afraid, even if its a playful oath. With my heart and soul, I’ll take a look at the true curse.
厳粛なる夜の闇に 黒い羽の使徒は降り立つ
genshukunaru yoru no yami ni kuroi hane no shito wa oritatsu
In the somber darkness of the night, a black-winged herald descends.
【お前ごときの虫ケラが 小賢しくも力を獲るか 闇を乞う者よ 何故にそのしゃは 人想い 善を抱き 「悪」として囀るか 今、問う
[omaegotoki no mushi kera ga kozakashiku mo chikara o eru ka yami o kou mono yo naze ni sono sha wa hito omoi zen o daki `aku' to shite saezuru ka ima, tou
[An insect like you is clever enough to gain power? You who beg for darkness, Why do you hold on to your humanity and call it "evil"? I ask now.

When this world is bathed in light, fools blinded by the glare, Hide themselves further in the shadows, sharpen their claws and bide their time. Leave it. Go to sleep. When you awake tomorrow, nothing will have changed, But the pain, that you feel, ah, I'll replace it with power!]
(The line here is repeated, but its not written down, and I can't understand it.)
わかってる 私一人の犠牲では何の価値も無いの
wakatteru watashihitori no giseide wa nani no kachi mo nai no
I know, my sacrifice alone is worthless.
百の羊を積み重ねて 千の楔を身に受けましょう 悲しい顔をした魔を連れ 染まれ紅の華
hyaku no hitsuji o tsumikasanete sen no kusabi o mi ni ukemashou kanashī kao o shita ma o tsure somare beninohana
Stack a hundred sheep and you will receive a thousand cuts. Flowers stained red, with the sad face of a demon.
潰せ 腑を 目を 手を! 側にいて 戯れの誓いでも良い 身も意も添え 真の呪を貴方に捧ぐ
tsubuse fu o me o te o! soba ni ite tawamure no chikai demo ii mi mo i mo soe shin no noroi o anata ni sasagu
Destroy my reason, my eyes, my hands! Stay by my side, even if its a playful oath. With my heart and soul, I dedicate the true curse to you.
Notes:
This song is about a girl turning to the dark side. She sells her life to a demon to turn her pain into power. The music is really powerful without being too chaotic (like some of Drop's tracks) and is easily my favorite song on the album!
百の羊を積み重ねて 千の楔を身に受けましょう
I do not understand this line at all. I feel like its probably a proverb or a play of words but I couldn't find anything that sounded similar. 楔 means wedge, so I translated 千の楔を身に "A thousand wedges on the body" as "a thousand cuts," but I doubt that's what she meant.
♠️Please consider buying this album to support Yura Hatsuki on her booth!♥️
