a fun thing you can do when you're a grownup is buy a bunch of ingredients and make 6 litres of spaghetti sauce in a big pot and divide it up into a bunch of containers and put it in the freezer!

#food #I used 4 cans of tomatoes and 2 small zucchini and a pound and a half of ground beef #and 3 bell peppers and a bulb and a half of garlic and 2 thingies of mushrooms and I think 5 onions? #I'm spaghetti sauce rich! I can have easy spaghetti occasionally for many weeks to come! #I was going to make it yesterday when I bought most of the ingredients #but then I realized the 2 cans of tomato I had in the cupboard were probably not enough #highly recommend making a lot of a freezable thing and freezing it! future me is going to be glad to have so much sauce! #cooking #I wish I had a cheese grater. I must get one

#Kim kitsuragi #Im just playing around with the setup of a really small living space #There seems to be two schools of though re kims living space #Which are either really kept or really bachelor pad but im not sure its that simple #I think the kitchen and living space are fairly jept as they are able to be with toolspace being well sorted #But inside cupboards are kind of 'wherever things happen to land' #Im going to pat myself on the back for designing the cooking caddie i bet theyre popular for odd shaped aparments #No propane hookups but gas and water hookups #I bet kim lets dust hang out in corners. call for ideas y'all:

does anyone know of a good site/blog/book/idk for recipes that anticipate 1 person is cooking and eating them? and I mean like, not necessarily all single serving meals, but recipes that don't produce more servings than reasonable for one person to eat before they go bad, and recipes that maybe are like "hey we used a cup of cauliflower here, your leftover cauliflower can be used in xyz, or blanched and frozen"

I am so sick of looking for recipes that meet literally any of those criteria. like bro. I am not buying 5 produce items (fresh fruit, veg, and often herbs) for your recipe, do you think I can find uses before they all go bad? I can't even use a whole onion without it going bad.

also, preferably including recipes that don't assume (thank you upper middle class white food bloggers) I own shit. I do not have an air fryer. I do not have a fancy electric mixer. I do have a rice cooker and no, I don't understand why these blogs never use that but anticipate I own ramekins.

i love all those like homemade whatever kitchen appliances that make cotton candy or popcorn or something they're like the pinnacle of the human spirit to me and when they work it's so fun. deeply stupid and i would never buy one but we've been given so many over the years it's like whatever. and honestly isn't that just what a toaster is at the end of the day... i heart appliances i heart air fryer cotton candy maker cupcake maker popcorn maker hotdog cooker slushie and snowcone maker and whatever the hell else i think i want to live in the food stall area of a carnival

Whoopsie, another late entry into my "It's All About Me!" weekly Bake-Off bakes. This week was pastry week, and there was a double elimination 😮 But enough on that, here's what I made - a caramelized honey pumpkin pie! Ooooooooh! I feel like every time I make my own pastry, it's never enough to make a cute edging with. Are my imperial -> metric unit conversions a little off? Do I have unusually tall pie tins? We'll never know... Besides, it gives it a rustic look, so you know it's handmade!
