i love fiona and cake for being basically AUs the show (obvs its deeper then that but for this post thats the most important factor), but the problem is that it existing made an idea pop into my head.

Breaking Bad version of Fiona and Cake. Where all the internet’s weird little ideas of the show are canon, and Jesse and Walter go around exploring them. There could be universes then about “oh what if this character did this instead” or “what if this character won” but who cares about that. Show the walter and transfem jesse cook estrogen AU. Show me the AU where Walter and Mike actually hook up. Have Walter get captured so now Jesse, Transfem Jesse, and Transmasc Jesse have to save him (Also maybe catboy Jesse if you want.)

I have a vision. It’s not a very well developed vision, but in my mind’s eye I see a Hatchetfield character recapping some important lore, then a Lord in Black (probably Blinky) coming onto the stage out of nowhere, saying “And that’s what you missed on Glee” then leaving with no context. Nobody acknowledges that it happened, but when the characters leave the stage for the next scene you hear the Glee transition music.

I vaguely remember that I made something called a VoidCores au a while ago and i wanted to kinda clear it up a bit.

Basically the whole au was about how new ghost cores are formed. Ghost cores are the most essential part of a ghost, without which they instantaneously destabilize and turn back into ectoplasm. Ghost cores cannot be created by anything other than the Ghost Zone itself (the zone is sentient). The GZ creates new ghost cores in areas where there are dense clouds of special ectoplasm, kind of like stars forming from nebulas. The fully formed cores are then pushed out to the very borders of the ecto nebula, where they can gather regular ectoplasm and eventually form a blob ghost. Alternatively, a new core can be adopted by another ghost, and in that case, that ghost carries the core around and feeds it their own ectoplasm, enabling the cores to form a much more advanced humanoid type of ghost.

Very rarely though, the GZ can decide to "gift" a core to a ghost. (This is considered a kind of prophecy as the creatures borne from those cores turn out to play very important roles in the future. Often saving the gz.)

The gifting process though, is not very pretty. The Zone basically rips the chosen ghosts abdomen open and shoves the core inside. Not very comfortable, 0/10 experience, would not recommend.

Clockwork has had the dubious honour of being chosen by the Zone to bear one such core.

Except, it wasn't one core. It was a half of one.

The other half of it beat gently, kept safe under fragile ribs of a newborn child called Daniel Fenton.
