Random Fact #6,401
Most Gen Z Americans don't know how to read or write cursive, meaning they can't read anything written for a good chunk of history.
Note: This is not true for many parts of the world, where cursive is still taught.

This is the note Katharine discovered in Almasy's book, at 1:06:30 of the movie. I can only recognize:
"K. at dawn, silhouette.
Froy burns. Carthage burns.
8 o'clock in the moring K. prsent in ashes. Sand flieas.
M?? alort pre-occupied K. faltered to the Earth.
K. open to all arguments, not with-hold. But laughing au ??? reduced by K. to ??? ???
The neck of K. can never by …. not in any measure???.
??? ??? she to betrayal.
Would K. like to ??? ???"
And that's all I can recognize. Thanks for your help!

Been practicing my cursive writing again and making it's, my every day writing.
I used to write completely differently compared to now and I'm aware I used to copy some of my ex friends and girls in my class. Looking back, I understand why they were mad. I was copying their style. They have every right to be mad. Rightly so.
But I'm guessing, you want to know WHY? Well my mother would get rid of my food for 2 days. I wasn't allowed to watch TV. I wasn't allowed to see friends, when I wrote in cursive. She said "that's not English writing" 🙄. So I had to learn from other people on how they wrote.
I get it, copying other people's work is never okay.
I just wish someone would ask me, WHY. Instead of jumping in conclusions.
The abuse in my home was fucking hell.
So I've been breaking bad habits I had for years and re-learning, Cursive Writing.
I love being away from my family. I can finally do this shit. To me, it's so fun. I have like 5 or 6 books on cursive writing.
The books only cost me £5 or $6.21 on Amazon.
Here's some of my work. It's really fun.

And here's this book I bought on Amazon. You can buy a whole series for a really cheap price, especially when you're on a budget.

If anyone ever talks to you about kids these days not being able to read cursive, tell them, "Kids these days can read cursive, they just can't read your cursive." Honestly I can read cursive but some of my relatives barely write English.

Personally, I loved cursive. I used to pass notes that way in high school. My writing was so horrible that only my dearest friends - with a trained eye - could decipher it.
