first game with the new terrain and some newish models. a rematch against my friend's Imperial Guard. tried out a night spinner and Eldrad for the first time. one fate dice per phase definitely hurts, but we're still plenty strong enough. close game, it went to round 5 and I ended up taking it 60-45, burning objectives and performing psychic rituals along the way to deny the enemies points, though we were pretty evenly matched on fire power. I also had first turn and some very lucky tactical missions in the first round. the Catachans and Kriegers fought fiercely, but the wraiths and guardians of Yme Loc fought harder to defend this maiden world from these imperial interlopers!

Remember when @honeywell-mts showed us the concept art for SSU and we all said “wow this is amazing, someone needs to re-create this” ...

Well I am NOT volunteering LOL! I can’t take on big projects right now.

But when I found out that no one has re-created SSU’s map before, or at least failed to upload any that I could easily find, I figured this is how I could help: 

I re-created the SSU map in Sim City 4. With this, you can modify roads/terrain as needed for the project - or for any other purpose, really.

You’ll need Sim City 4 and relative experience with it, but it’s not hard to learn. Essentially, install this file into your Sim City 4 game, make your layout changes, then copy the file into your Sims 2 game and use HoodReplace to apply the changes to U001 (SSU). That should make sense to SC4 vets I hope lol.

I finished fiddling around with terrain and spend a looot of time downloading CC and putting up decorations.

I've decided that I don't want to play BACC. We will stick to rotational gameplay and I will use a random generator to come up with unexpected events and mini challenges. I'm also planning on adding rules for expanding the neighborhood (for example, we will need to collect certain amount of $$$ to build a university).

I'm debating between doing everything myself for this neighborhood and downloading ready sims. I'm not sure if I'm able to create interesting looking folks.

Btw, the town is called Godos!

WINDENBURG 2024 ... A HUGE REDUX & UPDATE :)

Here we are ... After 2 weeks of intensive work :D comes the release of Windenburg 2024, 4 years after the first update and 8 years after the first release ... A long time due bold update where we tried to enhance one of the most iconic sims 4 World ...

We made a lot of work on urban stuff ( mainly ) and tried to enhance everything we could, except the ruins which are a work apart ;)

We enhanced the grounds ( streets, pavements ), the walls, some colors of the soils, the rocks, the textures, and even the fake buildings and houses :D

We made too some modifications such as the kakemono ( we made newer simlish pictures ), the streetlights ( we removed the stupid little posters in order to get cooler street lamps ), we added some textures to the plastic/glossy sculptures, we corrected basic textures we didn't make last time, we made an overhaul brighter aspect, we worked on many details all around when it was possible ...

Even where the textures were already ok, we revised the whole stuff ... Well you'll see ;)

We divided this Windenburg ( Get Together ) update in 5 files :

There are an important k-303 file in order to get all the textures in the right place ... a kinda "bizarre" element which doesn't appear without this :/ but do not worry, it's nothing embarrassing for your game ;)

There's patchy grass, clay dirt, real dirt, mountain rock and I turned the road into two floor tiles that you can use to make driveways with that blend right into the game. Everything is BGC however so even if you don't own Snowy Escape you can still use these.

I'm working on a terrain for my future neighborhood. I've played The Sims 2 for my whole life, and yet it is the first time I've tried to create a terrain. If you have any useful tutorials it would be very much appreciated.

It was very important for me to have lots with access to the beach. I'm also not sure if I want to play BACC or just do a rotational gameplay, but I'm preparing for both.
