LIKE I HAVE LOREE!! theres this guy Charcoal who is based on swap sans and his universe is counted as a swap universe but he isnt one of those guys!! Hes just a silly guy!! AND LIKE. grggrgggggrg hes traumatized... His magic is fear based and ALSO he wants to help people but so much is stopping him from doing that and when he gets the chance (joining the stars) its at the cost of everything he knew, on TOP of him being rundown and exhausted and just TRYING so HARD to keep up but he CANT

Woo! Finals finished up so I finally got to draw again :] Here's my boy Denton "Dent" Hawke, do not be fooled by his battle-ready expression he is a wet rag of a man who usually gets his ass kicked. He is a huge supporter of mage rights but even more so mage wrongs.

Fun fact! The quote here is from the codex entry "Blood Magic: The Forbidden School". Because he's a blood mage. If you couldn't tell.

I cut myself with corn yesterday. The dumbest injury I've ever sustained.

Let me explain.

I was at (insert store) working. I got up at 5:00am (disgusting time to be awake btw) so I could be to work by 6:00am. We had a lightning storm going on (surprising for the place we live).

I get there, and the power completely goes out. Woo lightning! Anywhoooooo,

We finish trying to save our produce, and my boss wants me to help shuck corn (it was dry so we were making it look pretty). My boss and I were chatting, we'll call him Derek.

Derek and I were shucking corn, and I twist one of the longer bottoms to pull it off, but, my hand slips. And it goes down onto a hard leaf? Thingy?

Like the long ends on those. I was twisting those off. But I guess a part of the stem or something was left on the bottom. And it was hard and I guess sharp.

So I twist and pull down, my hand slips, and I cut my left hands middle and ring fingers pads, and I stop. Derek glances at me. I turn my hand over and after a moment blood starts going up and pouring down my hand. And I go

"Oh"

😂😂 and Derek starts giving me shit! "How the fuck did you do that?" "What the fuck did you do???" All jokingly of course. (No one aside from workers were in there since the power was out). "Alright let's go get you cleaned up."

He did try to make me feel better about it by telling me he cut himself on literal frosting. (It makes sense I promise)

Man I dripped blood everywhere. There was some on the floor out in the produce area, it was on the corn I was holding, we went to the back where we cut produce and I got it on one of the tables when I was grabbing paper towels (I cleaned and sanitized that once I had the paper towls around my fingers), and when I got my hand in the sink and ran water over it, blood just continued to pour from the pads of my fingers.

Keep in mind the power is still all out. We're doing all of this with phone flashlights. We finally get it to a point to where we can slam on bandaids super quick so I can continue working.

I bleed through 2 bandaids on each finger before it calms down. The lights eventually come back on and my coworker, I'll call her Annie, sees some blood and goes "Scarlet, look, you left some of you on the table!" Jokingly and proceeds to clean it up and sanitize it.

I work until 1 ish without doing anything else to my poor body. I go home, take the bandaid off, and immediately start bleeding again. I wrap it with toilet paper for a few and it stops. I leave to go to the pool with friends (we met at the library) and the librarian had to give me bandaids because I lightly bumped my fingers, I guess, and they started violently bleeding again (but no messes this time thank goodness).

So, after an excessively long (for me) shift at work and coming home feeling like noodle-brain...I ended up spending about an hour doodling the scars/injuries Node and Bless have, post-event. Funny since it's been several months, but.

Under the cut for depiction of a naked body (can you call it 'naked' when I didn't draw any anatomical- ANYWAY), amongst other things. Open at your own risk.

All the writings in the image are transcribed under it, alongside a few additional notes.

For those who cannot read my handwriting:

+ First few months of recovery & additional scar references for Bless & Node.

Permanent gouge in mid-bottom quill- can cause it to sag & and cause pain. NOTE: the quill will literally dip lower than it should, resulting in pain to Bless since it feels like the entire thing is trying to slowly tear off his head. This only occurred until he was able to get stitches and several grafts. If he is severely injured there again, there's a good chance he will lose that entire quill.

"Please don't stare..."

Running causes pain, as does turning their upper half independent of their legs.

Burnt skin, fur no longer grows there.

Quills crushed, skull injury. Scar from wall impact.

Cries @ inability to draw quills-

Top quill perma-scrunched, causes headaches.

Note: Most pain fades by six month marker.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: Around the six month mark, Bless' 'gouge' has healed as much as it probably ever will. It is now an indent near the base of his mid-bottom quill, where the fur is lighter/more sparse.

Even after the six month mark, Bless is still far more cautious about letting anyone near his quills. The two in the middle of the back of his head are far more sensitive than they used to be, while the patch of missing fur between the two is essentially numb.

After the six month mark, Node's burn scar has healed as much as it can- and all the pain is gone. If anything, it's a bit harder for them to feel much on the left side of their lower chest/upper hip. The scar is mostly in an elliptical explosion-shape (from hip to lowest rib), due to how they were positioned when they blocked the shot from hitting Bless.

...love how how I write and how I draw sometimes contradicts, like when I drew Node's official art for the event. Gun me down, lads-

The rings are not depicted due to those having no physical appearance in flat line-art. If this were shaded, Node would have had the ring in their chest.- But there are no scars/physical damage/etc. from both having an Ark of the Cosmos.
