Buck and Eddie significant relationship milestone over soup and grilled cheese

"What is this?" Buck asks in amusement as he walks into the kitchen.

"Dinner." Eddie replies simply, looking proud as he takes in the table in front of them. Steaming bowls of tomato soup accompany oozy grilled cheese. The bottom of his sandwich is burnt, and the kitchen still smells a bit like it, but he had lit a candle to cover up the smell and opened a window to get rid of the smoke.

"I can see what." Buck chuckles, moving to Eddie's side and winding an arm around his waist, leaning over to peck Eddie's jaw, "But why? And don't say because we need to eat."

Eddie flushes lightly, "Because."

"Eddie." Buck teases, "Tell me."

"No."

"Yes."

"Your sandwich is going cold."

"Eddie."

"Buck."

"Come on."

Eddie sighs, "It's...it's our two week anniversary." He looks over to see Buck thoroughly confused, but looking absolutely adorable while doing so.

"We've been dating for a couple years, babe."

"I know." Eddie's cheeks heat further, "But it's been two weeks since you agreed to marry me."

Buck's face splits wide into a bright smile, "You are adorable."

"Shut up."

"Nope!" Buck wraps both arms around Eddie and kissing him soundly, "I love you, you sap."

"Buck." Eddie whines this time, squirming in his boyfriend's arms. "Our food--"

"Fine." Buck kisses him once more and then releases him, spinning around to grab the plate that is meant to be Eddie's.

"Wait!"

"Nope." Buck repeats, shaking his head and lifting half the sandwich to take a bite as he sits down. "I agreed to marry you, which means burnt grilled cheese and all."

Eddie can't help but sigh fondly; this is the man he's going to spend the rest of his life with. And he wouldn't change a thing. "I love you."

"Obviously." Buck winks, kicking out Eddie's chair, "Come on. Your food is getting cold."
