it's nowhere near the perfection of Hideaki Anno's movie, but this series honestly goes so hard in terms of sheer weirdness and complicated character dynamics, not to mention the consistently amazing wirework and stunt choreography.
bless Diskotek for giving this a proper physical release with some really nice bonus features!
DUKE SEIYA ANTHONY WATARI IV from CUTIE HONEY: THE LIVE
JUSTIFICATION:
"I don't really know if transition would do anything for Watari's personal issues, but if the animosity with Yuki were an avenue for her to have even more toxic yuri than she directed at Honey, perhaps she wouldn't have killed Watari (twice)" - @revieloutionne
Fun Fact: Gen's "transformation" in Cutie Honey The Live episode 20 differs from the TV and home video versions. The TV airing has a close up while the home video release has a wide shot.
As far as I know this is the only chang (other than the sponsor cards) between the two versions.
I scanned the Cutie Honey the Live Visual Book! I put it up on archive for viewing and download here !
It has photoshoots, cast and staff interviews and some concept art c:
