I know I don’t owe any of you anything but I still felt compelled to write about my long term absence. And I feel far enough away from the dangerous spot I was in to be able to make this comic. I have a therapist now, and she agreed that making this could be a very cathartic gesture, and the start of properly leaving these thoughts behind me. I am still, at seemingly random times, blindsided by fleeting desires to kill myself. They’re always passing urges, but it’s disarming, and uncomfortable. I worry sometimes that my brain’s spent so long thinking only about suicide that it’s forgotten how to think about anything else. Like, now that I've opened that door for myself, I'll never be able to fully shut it again. But I’m trying my best to encourage my mind in other directions. We'll see how that goes.

I am still donating all proceeds from my store to Palestinian causes. So far, I've donated over $15K, not including donations coming from my own pocket or the fundraising streams which jointly raised around $10K. In the time since I made my initial post about where this money would be going, the focus has shifted from aid organisations to directly donating to escape funds.

If you'd like to do the same, you can look at Operation Olive Branch, which hosts hundreds of Palestinian escape funds or donate to Safebow, which has helped facilitate the safe crossing and securing of important medical procedures for over 150 at-risk palestinians since the beginning of the genocide.

Feelings again about Izzy's lack of imagination being highlighted in 1x04 and coming full circle in 2x02 when he has so clearly not been taking a hint that Ed's goading him to mutiny and kill him so Ed finally sits down and gives him "they look like clouds because they are indeed fucking clouds" speech, only this time it "this is a gun. this is my face. this is you shooting me."

Had a dream the fandom was in shambles because TSC released and it was a multiple-choice kind of deal. And there were two distinct paths. Romancing Jeremy, which ended up with Jean offing himself on the phone with Kevin like in one of the earlier drafts, because Jeremy's "think happy thoughts" attitude lead him to just try to hide his trauma for the comfort of rest of the team. While the happy-ending path meant no romance and had a lot of deep introspection about his relationship to Kevin and Riko and a lot of details about Riko's own abuse in the nest as well.

4x16: WILSON'S HEART | 5x20: SIMPLE EXPLANATION

it k!lls me every single time i think about the parallels between 4x16 and 5x20 because in 4x16, thirteen was telling kutner about how he changed his behavior just because their patient was amber and that he was friends with her and then in 5x20, we see thirteen ALTERING HER OWN behavior when she saw kutner's lifeless body on the floor.

gunshot wound to the temple. his body; cold. and yet what did she do? she still tried to resuscitate him. tried, desperately tried to find a pulse even when it was impossible at that point. all rationality and logic shut down as soon as she saw him on that floor, lifeless and lying in a pool of his own blood.

"we shouldn't be treating her at all" then a season later, we have thirteen trying her hardest to bring kutner back to life even when his body had already gone cold. even when he had no pulse. because kutner was her friend dare i say her best friend even ㅡ she altered her behavior. for him. to treat him. even when it was impossible.

"there were lots of times that stuff just got put in-" he says. he STILL doesn't get it. it's not just about Not Citing People, it's about taking peoples' livelihoods away from them. it's about stealing other peoples' work for DIRECT, not indirect, financial benefit. YOU ARE SELLING OTHER PEOPLE'S WORDS... words that those people are trying to sell THEMSELVES, just to pay rent.

i hope he seeks help and doesn't harm himself. but his apology is barely even an apology.

likewise his acephobia, misogyny and transphobia are barely acknowledged.
