Hi welcome to random things that I think the Reverie characters do, including their listeners but I'm really tired and can't remember all the pet names given.

(and this time I'm gonna proofread it. <- that's a lie)

LES GO

Jacob - he's already a goofy dude with his whole red flag business. But aside from that, he doesn't like those mint things that Olive Garden gives you. (Totally not self projecting) and instead chooses to toss them to other tables without alerting the patrons eating at that table.

Jacob's listener - they don't like the color blue gray that mold is. You know that color? Yeah they have a violent reaction when they see it. I'm talking about swearing like a sailor, throwing a shoe at whatever had that color, ect. Their assistant wore a color similar and they locked him out of their lab until he changed. They want funding to develop a super weapon against the color.

Dion - he constantly puts the box of cereal on top of the fridge. No one knows why he does this, he just does and he refuses to explain. It's very frustrating.

Bodyguard - he doesn't finish movies. He will watch almost all the way through but at the last ten minutes he exits out of the movie claiming boredom. Also infuriating.

Bunny - they leave mugs and cups out. Once they're done, they will just set it down. Sometimes they use it again the next day depending on the previous contents. They always claim that they'll use it again, but more often then not they complain they can't find it before grabbing something fresh. Dion is constantly and rightfully complaining whenever they blame him for the cabinet where they keep the cups and mugs being empty.

Gage - he always buys gag gifts. He also buys genuine gifts but he won't give it to you until a week and a half after your birthday or whatever. He waits so you think his genuine gift is the joke one.

Bug - they can't match their socks for the life of them. Like every time they get a new pack of socks, they somehow always wear mismatched ones. They don't know how it happens but they say opposites attract. It's making people think they do it on purpose. They don't, that's just copium.

Neo - Neo can get competitive. Like reeeaally competitive. This foxy boy will quite literally nearly cause himself injury to "win". He has to open the door first because then he won the race to. (he hides it behind being polite but thats not his main focus) he will eat his food the fastest, nearly choking on it. He will win cuddling even if it's the last thing he ever fucking does.

Darling - they have canine behaviors. Which doesn't seem like a big deal. Until they're sitting in front of a closed door complaining and knocking on it because they're curious. Or when they sprint away full speed with something in their hands (or mouth) that they shouldn't have. Or that they have a specific spot on the couch or bed or table or floor or counter or fridge or blanket or chair that is their spot and no one else can be in that spot. Or when they grab things that smell like people they care about (most often Neo when possible) and just carry the items into common or public areas. Sometimes the person is still attached to the item.

Desmond - he has a bag of bags and a box of boxes. No one knows why since he barely uses them, but everyone is too scared to ask.

Newbie - they obsessively dig holes. And they don't refill them. They've gotten told off a few times for just leaving holes in the work yard but they just can't stop. They also regularly send pictures of the holes to Desmond like "LOOK WHAT I MADE 💪🤩" what he doesnt known is that this was in his front yard 😈

Law - he gets really into princess tea parties. Like, intense. He knows all the drama between the dolls and sometimes he'll try to instigate more drama. These tea parties have extensive lore now. Also he religiously watched great British bake off.

Sweets - They collect pumpkins. And hear me out on this. Every fall they go with Law and his kid to a pumpkin patch. Photos are taken and Law lets his kid get one pumpkin to bring home. Sweets never grew up with that kind of opportunity so one of these trips they decide to try it. And now they have a pumpkin. Suddenly their eyes are opened and it's pumpkin everything! They get several pumpkins each year. They have pumpkin decor they decorate with. Pumpkin (the color... Or pattern) clothing. Pumpkin spice becomes like crack. They really really like pumpkins. Just wait until they find out about the glory of fresh pineapples... Their home will look like a swingers without them realizing it.

Casey - he can't be allowed to go into Michaels. Not because of anything necessarily bad, but he just loses any and all impulse control. He'll go in with the intention of just getting a few things and suddenly he renewed his membership, has three signs, four fake vines, two picture frames, and seven full rolls of ribbon. (He originally went in for tye-dye for a date idea with Honey. He forgot to buy it and now needs to go again. He'll end up buying the materials to make a DIY wreath)

Honey - dating a florist is fun. But they now have flowers everywhere. Some are in pots, some in vases. Some are pressed between the pages of a book. Some tied in colored mesh baggies for sachets (I think that's the word I'm thinking of) and placed in their dresser drawers. It makes their clothes smell of the flower. They sometimes forget to change them out and next thing they know their clothes smell of rotting plant and need to go through the wash. But they're happy to have it, officially handing out the little gifts to even random strangers they meet in the street.

Cyril - he collects action figures. I have an angst hc connected to this, but I want to keep this fluffy for the most part so I'll just leave it at that.

Rival - they get heated if someone peels off that plasticy cling cover wrap thingie. The one that is placed over device screens or something? Yeah they're obsessed with that shit. If you peel it off before they can they will give you the silent treatment until they get the chance to peel it off something again.

Roman - Dissects pinecones. This dude will find the pine cones that are opened up and will meticulously start to pick the shards (?) Out and try to create towers with them. He'll never admit it but he's traveled back in time to find the same pine cone and repeat the process if he messes it up.

Pip (I think that's what the listener is called?) - they throw cotton balls at people they don't like or people they want to get the attention of. No one knows how they just have a bag or pockets full of cotton balls but they do. And they will throw one at your head with the force of a thousand spartan warriors.

Ellis - They really really like black out poems. (Those ones where you color over a sheet of text to only show certain words and create a poem out of it) which can be a problem considering where they work. The urge to just grab a book and start making a black out poem is so strong. They need to keep their hands busy for fear of giving into the urge.

Ellis' listener - they try to catch the dust that you can see floating through sun rays. The ones where if you stare long enough it's like you're hurtling through space and the dust is the stars. Anyways, they like to catch that shit and present it to Ellis. Ellis humors them and "thanks for catching the stars for me"

Before I forget it again, I'm going to upload this years OC_Tober Again I created my own prompts but only 15 in total. On some days I just drew a portrait of one of my OCs. I managed to draw on every single day and that was the goal after all. 1) Hafwen taking care of an injured Tsafried. 2) Diriora, Cyrille and Hafwen are trying to set up a new TV but Diriora wants to call a professional. 3) Yanna 4) Cyrille: Who's your favorite person in the whole world? am finishing up the last couple sidequests in ffxvi and i have to say that, although i really miss the exploration of ffxii my beloved, and also an aesthetic that isn't in grayscale, this very streamlined experience is working for me, in the sense that i am actually finishing all the sidequests and hunts!

also narratively the lack of exploration is working in the sense that the characters aren't simply free to go wherever but also in how their continent is (deliberately) very much cut off from what's around them.

#anyway i have a lot of things that could be much better about this game (more women! and let the women we do have take center stage more!) #(please some environments that aren't Gray and/or Brown) #(please give me more party members) #(give me more dion too) #(let me tinker with the hideaway's interior!) #but the tight narrative focus does very much help in getting you attached to places and i actually like the way they dole out the sidequest #and i do like how clive and cyril butt heads. if you fight for free will you've gotta accept some people will do things you don't agree with

Waaaaahh I love your drawings!! I feel v conflicted tho because Ven looks v cool but if this Ven guy is as bad of a person as the guy who hurt audio Des is then ooooh I'm gonna fight em! Oh and you don't need to answer this if you don't want to or if it's a sore spot or smth, but is there a reason you stopped the webcomic/went to audio? It looks like it was fantastic!!

Thank you! Ven was... well he started out okay, if a bit prickly (honestly kinda like Cyril now that I think about it lmao) but then he kinda snapped and things went downhill real fast.

They had the sort of relationship where them staying together... forever... would have been the "bad end" lol

And it's fine, I'm not bothered by it or anything! I had the whole thing planned out, posting schedule worked out, and everything all lined up, but then life happened and I didn't have the time/energy to work on it for a long time (like 4 years lmao). Around... January of this year? I think? I decided I wanted to get back into it, but I had also wanted to get into audio rps and stuff for a while, so I decided to combine the two and just rework some of the old characters/lore into a modern setting

Kane,dion bunny/visera

- OK since Dion is a gamer I feel like Kane would be a comic book nerd I know he doesn’t seem like the type but I don’t know I get a sneaking suspicion that visera got him into comic books

- I feel like visera/ bunny got Kane a phone and they just gossip Dion doesn’t know anything about it not at all (obviously if he doesn’t have a phone already)

- I feel like Dion is the type of person to collect crystals

- Dion for sure dragged bunny/visera and Kane to the petting zoo where the bunnies and the other animals were and the animals only wanted to be with Kane and dion was so upset about it

I only have a couple of Nat Head cannons

- The first one is law and Nat both know that Desmond loves shiny/sparkly things so every time they go to the park if she finds a shiny rock she puts it in her pocket to give to uncle des same goes for if they go to a store or something

- Second one is that once nat Warmed up to sweets she takes Laws phone and messages them

Cyril and dove

- Cyril definitely has a record player and a lot of records (I’ve already use this for another character in another universe) but I feel like it fits him and Ellis

- also I feel like he draws pretty well I feel like he did it a lot in high school and in college may be a little in middle school but I feel like he leaves a little doodles for Dove to find without even realizing it after they accidentally always end up working in the same area

- I feel like when Cyril blushes he’s ears end up being red like his cheeks

Neo and darling

- darling Definitely was an ice skater in high school professionally but now they are a little rusty And now they are going to classes again and they make neo go with them

- I feel like neo definitely has a couple scars from his fighting era definitely has one going through his top lip and his bottom lip on the left side of his face

Ellis and dear

- Ellis loves building Legos they have a full collection

- I feel like after a while of them dating dear got a tattoo to resemble ellis Lightning bolts

- ellis in middle school won a short story Contest

Gage and bug

- Since we know that gage has a little bit of a sweet tooth I feel like bug likes more salty things

- Gage is a skater boy and I will take no further questions

- gage at one point had split dye hair at one point and bug definitely gives him shit for it

Hi I'm waiting for class to start at the time of writing this and I decided to spout bullshit!

So welcome to whether or not I think the Reverie Characters can skateboard!!

(I need to make a Reverie Masterlist once I get a computer charger again.)

Starting strong with my favorite-

Jacob - I wanna say yes, I really do. It would be faster than walking which seems like he enjoys doing. But considering what he is, I'm gonna say no. He would probably say that they're inefficient or something. Which, okay fair I guess. But I would like to point out that he would look very hot skating to his listener to slam the deck over their head so they stop whatever it is they're doing.

Dion - another dude that makes me unsure. But he would definitely try it out if Bunny has one. Just imagine him repeatedly trying to do kickflips or other tricks while Bunny shouts at him to stop scratching up their hardwood flooring. They already worry about him leaving fire damage.

Bodyguard - No he doesn't. He's trying to get in Bunny's good graces too (to see if that will help Dion go back) so he would help hide that skateboard from Dion. It's an ongoing struggle.

Casey - he does give off a bit of that vibe, but I'm still going to say no. He likes to stop and smell the flowers (pun very much intended) so he doesn't use a skateboard. He could if he wanted though, I fully hold onto that.

Cyril - Yes. And let me explain why. It gets him away from people faster and is convenient to carry so he can escape any annoying social interaction near immediately. No other reason. Just that.

Neo - typically no, but he saw that Gage could do it (and his listener totally can but I'll make the listeners in a part 2) so he decided to learn. He wants to be able to cruise with his listener and also wants to be better at it than Gage. And depending on the route that Gage took, Neo's level of success is iffy.

Gage - YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES! it goes one of two ways though. He's a total master at it and can do dozens of cool stunts. Or he's absolutely horrid, can't keep his balance and always leaves with scrapes and a cheeky grin. That doesn't mean he'll stop though. Man is destined to be a skater boy.

Desmond - another one that I want to say yes because he would look very hot just cruising down the road. But no he doesn't. Another guy that sees them as impractical. Plus Gage and Neo's rivalry over them kinda made him want to avoid trying at all costs.

Roman - Also yes. He has those menace vibes that he sometimes hides under the surface. I could totally see him just cruising down the hallways, whistling as he pretends not to hear Cyril yelling after him to come back. He has more than once tried to get his listener to climb behind him so they can go together. But it always throws the balance off and then both of them are visiting the infirmary again. But maybe it will work next time... Right?

Ellis - yes. They knows how good they look just vibing along. There's a mini skateboard toy thing on their desk that they likes to fidget with and make it do little tricks. Whether the tricks are possible or not makes no difference to them. They just enjoys it. So yes, they does use a skateboard.

Law - no. Like Desmond, Gage and Neo kinda warded him away from trying and it never crossed his mind to try earlier in his life. Besides, he enjoys the modes of transportation he uses right now anyways.

     Quiet mummers lulled the young prince out of his deep slumber, his body ached and he felt weak. Was this heaven…? That was the first thought that came to mind. Sitting up he groaned rubbing his eyes with balled fists as his ocean eyes adjusted to the dim lighting. “Your highness your awake!” An unfamiliar high pitched voice said. “______?” He asked instinctively his voice coarse from his dry throat. Once his eyes adjusted he saw messy dark hair and the face of a young girl looking at him with concern. “N-no Lord Rosfield…I’m not Lady ______. I am Jote.” She introduced herself. 

     “…Jote?” Joshua repeated it was an unfamiliar name. “Am I dead?” He then asked earning a small gasp from the girl. “No milord! Please wait one moment while I retrieve someone who may be able to explain your situation more.” She stood up from his bedside rushing towards the door, “Your safe here milord. Please relax” She said before leaving the room. Joshua took in his surroundings he had never been here before. Were am I? Did I not die at Phoenix Gate? He thought tossing the bed sheets off himself he began to sit up but suddenly he fell into a coughing fit. He was weak.

     Joshua had been slowly adjusting to his new life with the help from the members of The Undying. He was weaker and more sickly then he had ever been before. It did not help his health that mentally he was still coming to terms with everything that had transpired at Phoenix Gate. He was considered a deadman to the world and it pained him even more he couldn’t see you nor his brother. 

      He wondered throughout the dimly lit building, it was apart of his daily rehabilitation to move around as much as possible to help rebuild his strength. The Undying were secretive people but they were quite boring it was Jote who helped keep him entertained most days. Humming quietly to himself as he focused on walking It was then he heard quiet mummerings from around the corner he paid no mind to it; only when ______’s name was mentioned did that peak his interest. He peaked around the corner listening intently to the conversation transpiring.

     “….Yes Lady ______ Lannis awoke as Leviathan.” Cyril said to Jote, “For His Highness’ sake of health we shall not mention to him that happened nor her engagement, Jote.” He spoke lowly. Joshua felt his heart stop for a brief second as his breath hitched in his throat in surprise. “B..but he’ll find out eventually.” Jote retorted she was cut off my Cyril, “Milord are you hiding? Then you heard our conversation. Please come out.” He had caught Joshua. 

     Slowly the Prince walked around the corner, “What do you mean _______ awoke? What engagement?” He asked. It hadn’t fully registered in his mind what was being said.

     “Lady ______ is the Dominant of Leviathan something triggered her awakening but we aren’t sure what did. Since the Crystalline Dominion is neutral the Holy Empire saw it as an opportunity to snatch another Dominant for themselves. Our brothers have reported that Lord Angelo was scared of King Barnabas taking her for himself so he married her off to Prince Dion. We are also being told it’s to hold leverage over the Dominion to not provide aid to the other nations.” Cyril explained. Immediately Joshua felt unfamiliar pang in his chest he stumbled forward Jote rushing to hold him up. It was overwhelming to him to hear all of this at once. His frail body couldn’t handle it holding his hand against his chest he steadied himself. “We must save ______. I know she’s scared right now! We promised to marry one another I—“ Joshua’s panic was cut short by Cyril who simply shook his head, “She’s safer with the Empire than us Your Highness im sorry.” 

     It wasn’t fair to you…to him.

     Years had passed and Joshua’s pain never eased, he found himself always thinking of Clive, Jill, and most of all you. He heard that you were fighting on the front lines alongside Prince Dion. He also knew that both you and the Prince were still engaged it seemed like Sanbreque’s thirst for more land had prolonged the marriage and with his mother producing another possible heir to the throne he assumed that perhaps you and Dion’s marriage wasn’t important to the Empire right now. He’d be lying if he said he wasn’t happy that you weren’t married yet. Joshua though couldn’t get over that you were now a solider nonetheless a Dominant. Every time he heard of your victories on the battlefield he felt sick to his stomach—scared that the next news he heard was that Leviathan was slayed in battle. Damn it all you should of never had to bear the burden of being a Dominant.

     He kicked a rock across the road a deep sigh escaping his lips. “Are you ready milord?” Jote asked as she finished packing their campsite up. He turned to her nodding, “Yes let’s head to Orriflame. Perhaps I’ll get lucky and be able to catch a glimpse of ______.” He laughed half heartedly. Jote frowned her thin brows knitting together, “Your highness please make sure to stay out of Lady ______’s sight…actually we just need to stay out of sight from anyone who may recognize you.” She reminded him as she tossed her satchel over her shoulders. Joshua pouted every so slightly as he followed behind Jote towards capital city. Drake’s Head could be seen far off in the distance he wondered what you thought as you realized you’d be living in Orriflame for the rest of your life. 

     “I know Jote I only jest. Come let’s make haste.” He prayed that the Flames would bless him and allow him to catch a glimpse of you. He only imagined how you looked now.

Quelques trucs bien. Octobre 2023

Ces “Quelques trucs bien” s’inspirent directement des “3 trucs bien” de Fabienne Yvert, publié au Tripode. 

Pas 3 par jour pour ma part, mais une volonté régulière de gratitude et d’optimisme. 

Accueillir ma fille, mon gendre et mon petit M. pendant les quelques jours de leur déménagement. Rassembler la famille  

Profiter des vacances d’automne. Se laisser bercer par l’arrière-saison avant l’hiver 

Écrire un poème sur la fin de l’été. Ode à septembre 

Reprendre les ateliers d’écriture avec les ados 

Récupérer mon petit M. après sa journée de garde. Le bercer, inventer une chanson pour le faire patienter en attendant le retour de sa maman. L’écouter pleurer pour évacuer le stress de sa journée puis le sentir se calmer dans mes bras

Bouquiner dans mon fauteuil jaune de lecture 

Dénicher deux bd romans graphiques chez mon bouquiniste 

Préparer une brioche maison pendant une insomnie. Me recoucher en pensant au délicieux petit déjeuner qui sera tout chaud 

Faire la grasse matinée après une longue insomnie 

Acheter une robe de soirée pour l’anniversaire déguisé de ma sœur. Soirée folle en perspective 

Visiter le prochain appartement de ma fille, tout près de chez moi. La sentir heureuse de se rapprocher et de faire des projets 

Bricoler avec mon fils. Trier, ranger, nettoyer. Réorganiser la vie 

Accueillir un rouge-gorge qui vient m’annoncer personnellement que l’été est fini et que l’hiver est en chemin 

Recevoir des nouvelles baskets. Plaisir des pieds 

Commencer à rassembler le groupe de de peinture, petit à petit. Laisser s’exprimer et s’apaiser les craintes. Séance en atelier la semaine prochaine 

Aller au restaurant et au cinéma entre filles. Passer une belle soirée à rire de bon cœur. La vraie vie comédie 

Passer tout un week-end avec mon petit M. faire encore une insomnie mais l’écouter dormir à poing fermés

Avancer sur les démarches administratives. Espérer que ça aboutisse vite maintenant 

Aller à une lecture d’un jeune poète syrien réfugié de la guerre et exilé en France. Écouter son témoignage en français, langue de la raison et ses poèmes en arabe, langue du cœur 

Aller à un événement en soutien aux femmes iraniennes et afghanes. Me laisser submerger par l’empathie à l’écoute des témoignages et l’émotion des chants orientaux. Sentir les larmes aux yeux de tristesse et de colère 

Aller à un spectacle de Résistances poétiques de Cyril Dion, vibrer de sa voix grave et des accords de guitare de Sébastien Hoog. Apprécier son humour et l’ironie du sort 

Recevoir des photos de mon petit M. dans la journée. Savoir qu’il s’adapte bien à son mode de garde chez ma sœur
