🍖 Very exciting CG!!!

🍖 He makes sure to spoil you with affection, whether that’s blowing raspberries on your cheek, or reminding you about how cute/handsome you are!!

🍖 Very good CG with playtime!!! Very fluent too!

🍖 Bigger kids that like running around, playing hopscotch, wrestling? Sign him up!! That sounds like a blast!!

🍖 Little/calming activities, such as building blocks, blowing bubbles, or pattycake? That sounds fun! Do you wanna sit outside on a blankie and play too?

🍖 Very big on getting some outside time, and will take you to his (Raiden’s) small personal garden so you don’t feel too uncomfy being small in public (unless you really don’t want to, he won’t force you)

🍖 ^ And you get a reward at the end of the week!!! :D (and don’t worry about a couple of slip ups effecting your reward, accidents happen sometimes)

🍖 No touching his hat, it’s a big no no

🍖 Well . . . maybe you can touch it

🍖 But he has to put a protecting rubbering on the blades!!! You could get really hurt, and just cause you wanna look cool just like Lao, doesn’t mean you should put your safety will be put on the line

🍖 He’s very good with regressors that use padding!!

🍖 In past games, it’s hinted that the Kung Family is decently big (hyposithis, but still), plus he also has Kung Jin as a nephew/cousin depending on the timeline, so he probably has some brothers/sisters of some sort

🍖 He’ll blow raspberries on your tummy, or jingle keys above you, trying to make sure your not too embarrassed <3

🍖 Kung Lao’s a big competitive, but he’ll always make sure to let you win

🍖 It might hurt his ego a bit (lot), but you look so happy when you run the race!! Or when your car was faster!! 🥺

🍖 He loves arguing with you, especially if you babble, thinks sassy babies are adorable

❤️ Protective Dada, you’re always within his reach

❤️ And even when your not, he’ll keep a close eye on you

❤️ Again, super good with a lot of ages!

❤️ Middles that want to sit down and watch TV or talk about their favorite band, he’s up for a nice chat (and is really good at treating you your age!!!)

❤️ Bigger kids that want to run around and play chase? He’s gonna make you a leash kid 😮‍💨 (lovingly of course)

❤️ Toddler that wants to make bracelets? He’ll wear them with pride!! And he’s good at tieing the knots at the end!!

❤️ Baby that just wants to cuddle up to him? How about you sit on Dada’s lap while he helps you color your picture?

❤️ Any kind of pet regressor? Well, he can play ug-a-war, or have you lazy on him or his coat!!

❤️ Guys, I dunno about you, but his voice makes me feel really tiny 🥺

❤️ He’s trying to learn how to change you without Sento (he’s not the best, but he’s getting good at it!!)

❤️ When he got blinded, he struggled with some activities and watching over you in general, but he also made sure to reassure you that he wanted to watch after you and you shouldn’t feel ashamed being small

❤️ It’s just a process of reworking and figuring some things out

❤️ Yes, he can see with Sento, and he mainly does, but he’s also working on not being hinder on it

❤️ His tattoos are pretty filled in from what it looks like, but if you wanna take a makeup brush and make him your personal canvas, he’ll let you (he finds it cute)

❤️ Kenshi knows how to cook, and he’d make your favorite little meals!! Whether they’re extragevent, or just some dino nuggies he can pop into the stove

❤️ No, you cannot help him, you might get burned and he doesn’t want you injured

❤️ He will let you sit on the stove nearby though!! Maybe you can pass him some seasonings (if you can read them correctly)

❤️ His chuckle when you hand him the wrong one, redirecting you to the right one as he calls you Silly 🥺

well obvi my FAVORITE thing to write is versions of fall out boys who are so far removed from canon they might as well be OCs! I like writing original characters, though you wouldn't know it from reading my work. I had a blast writing reader inserts with my bestie when we were kids, though; we would sit on my front steps and pass her laptop back and forth and it was the best of times.

i want @carbonbased000 to write me a steddie d&d adventure that is actually about processing and potentially subverting death! and i want @alienfuckeronmain to write me a story about incestuous sister monsterhunters who slowly realize they've been raised to hunt monsters that aren't actually real, and they're the ones doing monstrous things

*consumes media so selectively it is genuinely fucking hard to think of a character i hate* writing has to be bad for me to hate a character! hateable characters who are well-written i usually like. i want to answer this question without hating on an author so... a villain i love to hate is sam rockwell's character in iron man 2, he is so fucking great, his little outfits and the pure contempt with which he says 'bird' and the way he is the pissbaby figurehead of modern tech ceos who hide behind their money! *chef's kiss*

Nov 10-12, 2022 - Thursday-Saturday | tranquil’s challenge 27-29

More knitting and checking papers 😭🤧 went on an unexpected walk with my dad to a place I’ve never been to before and saw a house with a neat sign (in the second pic!) and also the most beautiful caramel + white cat who looked a dessert🍦🍨 who just sauntered away from me and down the street leisurely, weaving between the bars of the gates of the row of houses on that block 😔

☕️ What do you do to calm yourself down when you feel anxious? I am actually the queen of this tbh so here's a list. - deep breaths - anxiety = racing thoughts so write down all these thoughts and they won't race around in your head anymore. will they go away? Maybe not completely but they aren't racing ! and that's important ! - knit / crochet / draw - drink some water - open a window esp if its cold outside - (if muslim) read duas + remind urself abt qadr + read ayatul qursi + read surah ikhlas 10 times

👻 Do you enjoy spooky season? What things do you like or dislike about it? uh personally not really. immigrant parents who are suspicious of everything country means that a night where ppl are allowed to wear costumes that obstruct their identity means more chance of possible crimes. Since I was little I was kind of conditioned that halloween means you come home early before sunset and lock your doors to avoid anything bad / drunk ppl on the street 😭

I am here to follow up the sweet headcanon and backstory post with... THE SADNESS MWUAHAHAAHA-

I thank @sin-sidejob for letting me use Delaney we love a good MVP mom✨

Warnings: Inside job spoilers? For the ending and such? Mentions of mental illness (depression and anxiety), and some very sad dad stuff.

Ok so, I did mention last time that I was giving you another reason to hate Rand Ridley. Here’s the explanation for that mess!

Okay so like, Finn? Already not doing too hot. JR is their only real father figure and he is being accepted into the shadow council and they won’t get to see him much at all anymore.

But they don’t want to ruin his dream and life goal so those feelings? Immediately bottled up. Only showing JR the happiness they feel for him getting “Promoted.”

Finn would absolutely go to Delaney about it, they work for the shadow council directly? That sounds like a good plan!

They do not get very far before the entire day goes to crap- So it’s announced that the building is on lockdown, people are freaking the fuck out and something was stolen. Finn may be sugar crazy but they aren’t an idiot.

They do feel bad for not being at the cameras though, they still don’t say anything.

So Finn is probably with a bunch of randoms but I would also like to think that MVP mom Delaney grabbed Finn’s arm when the sharks were emerging and pulled them to safety. MVP mom Delaney is on the case.

So Finn is working on trying to hack the cams they have no clue what is going on and eventually Delaney is talking them down from a panic attack in whatever room they happen to have rushed into during the panic.

The day ends and they are ready for everything to go back to normal, I mean everything was fixed, Regan seemed to be even more ready for her promotion and if that didn’t say something?

Today was going to be better! Dad got his promotion! Friends are ok! Cognito is still up and running! What could go wrong?

Spoiler alert. Many things, so many things can go wrong. And they do.

So Finn is watching the cameras, they totally aren’t 100% more focused on doing their job because of what happened yesterday, what are you talking about.

But then they see their dad’s office. Reagan’s walking in and... There’s Rand. Sitting in JR’s chair, where Reagan should be.

Finn is running, they spent a second getting out of their room before breaking into a full on sprint down the hall. They don’t blink when they see Robotus passing by them, Not when Andre calls out when he see’s them running by with tears in their eyes. They don’t have time.

They rush into the hallway. They make it to the door just in time, But then they see it.

Their dad being sucked into the tube. He’s gone.

Finn’s breathing was heavy, panting from the run trying to catch their breath. They want to lunge forward to grab Rand and throw him out of the window behind him three stories in the air.

Neither Reagan or Finn acknowledge each other. Both panicking and reacting to their news.

It would be the next day? Week?? It’s been a while-

Finn hadn’t shown up to work again. They haven’t been answering many calls and they don’t really know what they are going to do.

The fear of what happened and what is going to keep happening is setting in. someone calls to tell them that they are going to have a funeral and that they should be the one to plan and speak at it, Delaney had asked them as well. They had to have known by now, Finn knew they did. They were sobbing and screaming into what felt like the void that was Rand Ridley.

“YOU TOOK HIM FROM ME! YOU TOOK MY DAD AND GOT HIM KILLED! YOU MONSTER-”

They weren’t ever good at subtlety but, this was much different. And the calls from staff all around Cognito coming into their phone proves it. But they won’t answer, they haven’t so far. They listen to the voicemails but they can’t bring themselves to call back.

Andre calls them worried, telling them he’s there if they need it, they can come over whenever, and that he loves them.

They think even Kate from the clone department tried

Gigi making sure they were okay in her own way, Finn suspects is to get them out of the house and to try and feel better.

Finn knew they would have to leave eventually, they weren’t even sure if they owned the house anymore. Besides, it felt much less like their home when JR wasn’t here. Less lively, not inviting or warm.

Finn hadn’t been in their own room since it happened either, they had been waiting and trying to sleep in JR’s bed. Hoping that they would wake up and it would all be a dream, dad would just walk through the doors and give them a hug! It would have just been a misunderstanding! Nothing was wrong it was all just-

But then the door opens. And Delaney comes in, she waves the key JR gave her to signal her entrance. JR had given her those keys, and the small keychain attached to it was from the nearby aquarium from the first trip she joined JR and Finn on. Finn felt weak, they couldn’t even bring themselves to smile at the memory.

JR had let both of them feed the sharks together. It felt like a family trip, it was one of their favorite memories if they were honest with themselves. They were just starting to feel like they finally had a family.

They were gonna miss those small visits with dad.

She doesn’t look great either. But that makes sense, they were both going through it.

Not a word is exchanged. Finn and Delaney share a glance.

Finn’s eyes start to water and Delaney meets them for a hug. It’s bone-crushing, filled with sobs of devastation and as much care as they could pack into a single one. But it’s enough. They know they are there for each other.

And that’s enough.

Haha, idk if it's the sweetest but it's definitely my cheesiest. Just Because, a one-shot I wrote for a fandom friend after she saw a tweet I'd made about burning my cookies. Tho I would say there's some sweetness in all my fics. :D

I will give myself two, bc they are the two I am most adamant about inducing into my writing. One, I'm funny af. I'm not kidding. I inject so much humor. Maybe it's why Tony is so easy for me to write. Bc I am sarcastic af in real life. It used to irk my mom -- but then I'd point out she's the one I learned it from and she'd shrug like "Meh, you're right." LOL. And, two, I try to write my fics as realistic as possible. This of course only pertains to relationships and RL situations. Not Loki, God of Mischief, or Tony Stark, the billionaire playboy who flies around in an iron tin can. lol

❌What’s a trope you will never write?

Hmm, probably Daddy Kink, Alpha/Omega, Mpreg, and Coffe Shop AU. I don't have anything against any of these tropes -- except Daddy Kink which gives me the heebie-jeebies but that's just because I hate my dad lmao -- nor do I think people should NOT write them. I've read some great Coffe Shop AUs and even ventured into Mpreg. They're just not things I'm familiar enough to write. But of the four, I;d probably only venture into Coffee Shop AU territory.

iOS mostly because (sob) i am an ipad kid. in my defense it’s so easy to take chem notes when you can write them down on your ipad rather than attempt to type out lewis structures or whatever. my gaming laptop is windows tho <3

What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?

You know what, I don't actually remember a specific line. I've laughed a lot with my own crack recaps, if that counts XD but I do have an entire short fic I wrote that I was cackling all through writing it, and it's the one about Hope from OUAT growing into a teenager who likes whump. It was written in a bit of spite but I actually poured my own experience into it and I found it so funny! Considering that angst is my main inspiration, I don't get a lot of chances to laugh while writing my things XD

What's the sweetest fic you've created so far?

I think the one that has the least amount of angst is that ficlet about Rogers and Tilly (while still cursed) "accidentally" spending Christmas together. I really enjoyed writing that one and getting into the feeling of it :)

Have any of your readers accurately guessed major plot points? Care to share which?

I only have two multi-chapters where that would be possible, and though it wasn't something too unexpected, (SPOILERS for Macabre Theme and Variations), I was so excited when I saw people comment they wanted to see Twilight and Yor team up at the end to get the guy!! I was so close to commenting back with a "YES! Read on and you'll see!" but I had to hold back to not spoil it for them, lol.

What advice would you give to new fanfic writers that are just getting started?

For starters, write. Just write your heart out. It may be cringe, it may look silly, it may be out of character. Write it. It's your only way to get better. Experience is the first thing that makes a writer grow and become better, so write your shit. You'll be better before you know it.

Something that isn't discussed much but helped me actually finish the aforementioned multi-chapter: write as the flow goes, and if you can't remember a word or aren't sure about a fact and can't find it within a few seconds, write a bunch of question marks (or whatever kind of symbol will help you find it later with control + F) and keep writing. You might end up spending too much time googling what you wanted and you'll lose track and flow otherwise.

Take an estimate of how much time you need to find the information you're seeking. For example, it takes a couple seconds to find how much an African elephant weighs in average. But if you want to find out how to properly take care of an elephant, you might need some long minutes of research. Find the weight, then add your symbols for the second information.

For me, that was a saviour for writing MTaV. I don't think I would have finished it if I hadn't implemented it. Treat the first draft as it is; a first draft, that you will edit later, so let it have holes and questions (to a certain degree, of course). When the long process of editing starts, you can take your time spending long hours researching because the scenes and dialogues are already written with the flow.

Tell me about an up and coming wip please!

Hm I actually have one for SxF that I should be finishing up. It's short, sad but with a bit of a feelings ending. One hint I can give is that it has a lot to do with Bond :D

I think I mentioned this before with a similar question but any kind of name reveal/people switching to use a more personal name for someone makes me so emotional. like wilbur telling niki his name in glass, or wilbur giving phil permission to use his name in stars, or when tommy started using wilbur's name in world forgetting, etc etc I just love the kind of trust that comes with giving someone permission to use your name in worlds where names have a lot of importance put on them

👀 Tell me about an up and coming wip please!

well since we're nearing the end of glass I actually have the first chapter of my upcoming royalty au already planned out, and I'm planning on writing it on the plane ride over to amsterdam next week (I'm hoping I'll be able to publish ch 1 of the royalty au the same time I post ch 26 of glass, and then I'll do my usual thing of finishing glass before I start updating it regularly)

anyway, you're in luck icy! the royalty au is going to be very heavily sandduo focused. like if there are three main relationships in it, it's going to be sandduo, rainduo, and crimeboys

I've talked about it a bit already, but my inspo for this fic was from watching house of the dragon so it's going to have a lot of game of thrones style politics in it. phil is going to be doing a lot of scheming, wilbur is going to be doing his best to follow in his father's footsteps, the story might end up taking place over the course of several years instead of how my stories usually just take place over the course of 6-10 months (still not decided but I think that's the direction I'm going), there's going to be so much grey morality, and people will get murdered :) it's gonna be a fun ride and I'm so excited to start writing it

Wilbur Soot-centric is my go to bc gonna be honest, most of that tag is actually tommy-centric fics that claim they're about wilbur too but wilbur is just reduced to a generic older brother figure. so I like to try and do my part by filling the tag with actual wilbur-centric fics

Like sometimes if i have enough hope in the concept or i want to see the rest of the plot i'll scroll past it (like it comes on chapter 6 and i'll skip past cause i'm too invested in the story) but usually if it appears i'll click out (sometimes i'll click on a fic knowing it has smut and kinda hoping it'll be skippable and then it either is and i skip it or it's definitely not and i just click out of it so i consciously know it's not a deal breaker but it's something that usually makes me click out TT)

🍓 how did you get into writing fanfiction?

Oh that's something I haven't thought about in a while! Okay, so my first introduction to fandom was through DeviantArt. I grew up on transformers and went looking for cool fanart. I found some but couldn't comment without an account, so I made my first fandom account. I wasn't planning to post anything, but a stranger followed my empty blog and sent me an encouraging note saying they couldn't wait to see what I did. (I still think of them, we never became mutuals or anything, it was like they were a benevolent fairy godmother telling me to create, and then I never saw them again, but I owe them a lot!)

So I posted a few drawings and followed a bunch of people and groups on DA. I began reading fanfiction there. But I still never even thought to post my own work at the time.

But circa 2014 I am very invested in reading fic and I have a favourite Transformer character (Starscream) whom I have created an entire backstory for (sparked by a take I didn't agree with in a fic). I'm deep into mentally writing stories, with my own Mary Sues and everything. It's my daily pass-time, daydreaming these stories and meta.

It still doesn't occur to me to write any of these until one day I'm watching The Hobbit, and Ed Sheran's I See Fire plays and hits me like a lightning bolt. This song is perfect for my fav character!! Someone's got to have written about it, right???

So I scour fanfiction sites (I can't remember if I'd started reading on Ao3 yet, but I'd definitely been on FNN) but No One had written this Very Niche idea???

And that's when the concept of writing my own fic started. I just had too. The idea was too good. So my first fic was a song fic writing on the DA STASH program (not even Word lol. This thing didn't even have a word count, and my editing process was to read the wip backwards word for word, searching for misspellings or other typos).

And after that I suddenly realised that if I wanted people to see my fav character in the same light I did, I had to write it. And so it began.

I eventually started posting on FNN, and then in 2016 on Ao3. My first Marvel fic followed a similar process where I got an idea and it was just too good and people needed to know about it, so Lessons Learned was written on STASH. (I think around then I finally moved to Word XD). I still have an old account on DA, but I haven't been active on it in many years. It does hold a special place in my heart for being the place I started learning about fandom and writing in though.

So I guess I started writing fanfic because no one seemed to be writing my stories, and I had Opinions that needed to be shown.

🍦 name three good things about a character you hate

Oh geez, lemme think.

Quickest name comes to mind is Rumlow. But that's in a Love to hate situation. I know some people like to redeem Rumlow, but I love how he can shorthand so easily as just the worst guy you know.

He's just the worst (positive). No matter what AU you're reading you know any character named Rumlow is going to be the worst scum ever.

I mean, I've heard about what it's like to live with large, bad burns. So good for him for making it through the acute period and living with it I guess.

Kind of ties in to the first point, but there's not much he wouldn't believably do. You want an unhinged bad guy? Rumlow will help you out. Does he have morals or did he lose them with the burns? Your choice writer! He's up for anything.
