I made some notebooks for my player, and since everyone knows that a book that starts with a map is bound to be a good book, I used a map of my D&D world for one of the endpapers
Everyone’s gone to the moon -- Map to adventure on the surface of Lunitari, the red moon of Krynn, one of three moons in the world of Dragonlance (AD&D 2e module DLE3: Dragon Keep by Rick Swan, cartography credited to Diesel -- David S LaForce, TSR, 1989)
Most of the maps that I post are practice pieces or ad hoc ones that I put together square by square, so here’s what it actually looks like when I sit down to do a full, detailed, finalized map (clean version and the in-universe annotated version)
A map of my (very clearly based on real life) D&D map for my side-project.
As you can see, a lot of the stuff talked about in previous posts are there: the cardinal directions, the center of the world, and the real-world endonyms of various cultures, as well as some made-up creations when those are a bit too similar to the real thing. And, of course, the yellow snake ‘round the world.
A cookie to those who guess the origins behind some of those names!
I normally try to sit on these sorts of things until after my players see them, but I am a little proud of this one (and you may feel free to use this in your games, same with the associated NPCs that I don't have drawings of)
Presenting Yurtam's Yurt of Treasures
Operated by a pair of Tortle brothers named Remus and Theodore (think Alligator snapper like tortles who talk like they are the from the deep fried southern US).
I will make a few charts of items in stock in a bit.
Been updating the map for my D&D campaign. The actual map was made a long while ago with a website that I cannot fucking remember but if I do I’ll link it (partly for proper credit, mostly because it’s a pretty damn good tool) but I added in the territories of the biggest bandit clans of the world (top image) and the towns and settlements (bottom image)
The world is mostly a desert, but with very cold and frozen poles andis basically a wasteland that people only live there because they can’t leave or are trying to hide from something/someone. It’s the asscrack of the universe.
