i've had this reaper mausoleum piece for years now and wanted to finally paint it. the mausoleum comes with two optional faceplates that go above the door but i lost them so i took that as an opportunity to sculpt my own. i took inspiration from takayuki takeya and his love for skulls with weird eyesockets

Most early dungeon terrain sets were flat 2-D designs, with the occasional 3-D version made as a homemade DIY craft project, but TSR eventually released their own cardstock dungeon in 1984, AC3: 3-D Dragon Tiles featuring The Kidnapping of Princess Arelina. The tiles, walls, and figures were by Dennis Kauth and Jim Roslof, with a short adventure by Garry Spiegle intended for use with either D&D or AD&D.
I wonder whether this was created in response to that scene in E.T. which may have created some expectations about what a D&D game should look like on the table.

I finished off this old building that I made, geez, several years ago and sort of left it on the workbench. The base is separate, in case I ever decide to finish that little Mordheim section.

Model of a crashed spelljammer I dropped on my party while they were minding their own business
The ship is a dice tower that can be removed so my parter can still use it- thinking about pasting a ufo or something in the empty spot eventually
I made the fields out of cardboard peices I ripped the top layer off of, then glued them to a board. I built the rest up with various acrylic mediums (pumice gel my beloved)
After it dried I gave it a layer of black gessopodge (gesso I mixed with modpodge, smells very.. interesting) and a layer of base paint/dry brushing. Then I just glued on some grass and voila!

Does Dr d light go swimming? If so what does he wear? Would rune be friends with Dr light? If he did take embry under his wing, would people question it? What would he say? 🍪 Here's a cookie for your troubles! Thank you! (Sorry about all the inmimnb questions, it's my current hyper fixation)
I think if Dr. D. Light went swimming he'd wear something like this!
2. I think in Crowscare Rune and Dr. D. Light have talked before! Their relationship is friendly enough
==
3. I don't think people would really question it. in Noisrev proper, many young folks often start apprenticeships for fields of study/work they'd like to pursue, so it wouldn't be that weird.

Ritual Pool + The Guardian Lady of the Manor
I'M DONE I'M DONE I'M FINALLY DONE.
This is a battle map for tomorrow's D&D session; a subterranean chamber under an abandoned manor, where the vengeful spirit of the former Lady (ritually drowned in the very pool where she now resides) guards a secret even deeper underneath the earth.
The floor pieces are made from foam board, the rest is various foam packing pieces. The pools are sculpted from hot glue, and everything is painted with acrylic paint. I considered lining the central pool's border with stones as well, but decided I don't want to cut up and individually paint the pieces of more packing peanuts.
(banshee mini from paperforge btw)

i don't know if some mad god whispered to me, or if I'm just losing my mind, but I decided to spontaneously start not 1 but 2 new projects. started making some mushroom forest/grotto/cave scenery that I've wanted to do for a while to break up the mostly industrial theme that the rest of my terrain currently is. and then I also got some gobbos to go with the terrain because 1) goblins have been on the mind since I started those d&d minis a few weeks ago, and 2) I just started learning the gloomspite's lore and they might just be the funniest faction in all of Warhammer. recipes under the read more.
the craft store I went to today had a sale on all their summer floral stuff, so I grabbed a random bunch of things to make this with (not pictured are the other floral/fake aquarium plants I got to add some color at the end). those big hedge looking things were formerly foam letters covered in grass and flock. after breaking them up, rearranging them as platforms, and gluing them together I figure they look like overgrowth/shrubbery of some sort. i sculpted the giant mushrooms from air dry clay, I will attach some to their own bases, and others I'll use to accent the other parts, like the shrub things. the bases are just chipboard covered in white glue and sand. when they're dry, I'll prime them black and drybrush them to look like dirt and rock. once that dries, I'll start gluing the shrubs and mushrooms and stuff to them. I also have a twig wreath that I'm going to cut up and make look like fallen logs and such, in addition to the actual half log that's also shown. finally, I made some small mushrooms by letting dollops of hot glue dry, then super gluing toothpicks to them. like I said, this was all very spur of the moment and not super planned out, but I'm super happy with how much I got done in one day though.
