How does Jesus have a Father? Studying John 5:17
In John 5, Jesus heals a man on the Sabbath. This causes a controversy between Jesus and the Pharisees who had an extremely restrictive view of activities which were allowed on the Sabbath. In John 5:17, Jesus says: “My father is working until now, and I am working.” That’s a theologically loaded statement. It’s so […]How does Jesus have a Father? Studying John 5:17

Ms. Goth: Today we're doing problem solving. If I have four object babies in the living room and two in the basement conversion bedroom and I accidentally delete my basement, how many object babies do I have? Think carefully.
Naomi: What patch version is this related to? These textbooks are ancient, Ms. Goth.

You would think I hadn’t spent mountains of time delighting in the idea of Thomas mentoring George and Sybbie, and Marigold when she visits, as they grow up, from how elated I have slowly become that Thomas is leaving the butler position before George is forced to start treating him as furniture in front of his peers.

Did I mention I've added Richard Carson's Maxim de Winter to my list of 'my poor little meow meows'? Well he's in there, high up on the list. I knew the musical's Maxim is written to be a more upright and likable man than in the novel but I was not prepare for the London production and how likable and sympathetic Maxim is in the English language. I remember when the casting and promo stuff came out people were writing in the comments saying he doesn't look right for the part, and they were right from the standpoint of honouring Du Maurier's vision. Richard's Maxim is a much better man and husband compared to Du Maurier's Maxim and indeed even the German musical's Maxim. He's gentle, soft, charming, and distinctively non-threatening, his violent outbursts are tinged with melancholy and stems from the fear of being hurt again, and behind the self-assuredness is a sense of glass-like fragility that can be shattered at any second.
I really need art to stop making me simp for objectively deplorable men.

My favorite thing about Ken being a husband is that he is literally the most "I miss my wife." Guy to exist. Like even if he's been around for 20 years now in the real world, he's still very much Ken™️ and people at this point just think he's a sweet guy.
He's in some big PTA meeting or business dealing and people start gossiping.
"What about you Kenny? What do you think?"
He just sighs having been barely paying attention.
"I miss my wife."
He stands up and shrugs then just walks out
