It all started on a rainy day.
I had missed the bus and both my parents were working. My only option to get home was to walk nearly an hour in the pouring rain.
I was walking as fast as I could without flat out running, my backpack held over my head. It wasn’t doing much to shield me from the rain, but it was better than nothing. I was already drenched from cars splashing me and I was shivering so hard my teeth were chattering.
I flinched as I heard another car approaching. It slowed to a stop beside me and when I looked over, I was shocked to see it was Billy Hargrove’s car.
“Need a ride?” he asked.
If it were anyone else, I would’ve said yes. But Billy Hargrove had a reputation for being a bully. He had never spoken to me before, so I wasn’t sure if this was a joke or not. For all I knew, Billy was about to splash me like every other car had done, or would take me further away from home and dump me on the side of the road.
I shook my head and continued walking. Billy drove beside me at a slow pace to keep up with me.
“Are you sure? You look like you’re pretty soaked already. How far do you have to walk?”
“I-I’m o-okay. Th-thanks,” I stuttered, trying to suppress a shiver.
“(Y/N),” he said, shocking me by knowing my name. “You’re shivering so bad you look like you’re vibrating. I’m not gonna do anything to hurt you. Just let me drive you home so you don’t end up sick.”
I had to admit, the offer was hard to pass up. The thought of walking another few miles in the rain already had me feeling exhausted.
So, I got into the passenger seat of Billy Hargrove’s car.
He already had the heat turned on, so I was immediately engulfed in warmth. I put my soaked backpack at my feet. I was dreading the damage that had undoubtably happened to the books in there. The school was going to fine me a fortune if the textbooks were too damaged.
“Here.” I looked over at Billy as he shrugged out of his leather jacket. “It’ll help you warm up quicker.”
I took the jacket and pulled it on. It smelled incredibly good. I stopped myself from pulling it closer around me and inhaling the scent.
I gave Billy my address and we drove off towards my house. The ride was mostly silent besides the loud rock music coming from his stereo. As if reading my mind, Billy reached for the volume nob to turn the music down. I put my hand on his to stop him before quickly pulling away when I realized what I had done.
“Sorry,” I said. “But you don’t have to turn it down. I like rock.”
“Really?”
I gave him a playful look. “What? I don’t seem like the type?”
“Not at all, honestly.”
I chuckled. “Well, my dad loves rock music. It’s always playing when he’s home. Mom says she hates it, but I think she secretly loves it but doesn’t want dad to know.”
Billy was smiling as he focused on the road ahead of him while driving.
“So,” I started, trying to keep the conversation going, “where’s your sister? Max, right?”
I realized that was actually the wrong thing to say when Billy’s smile dropped. “I don’t know. Off with one of her boyfriends, I guess.”
“One of? You mean that group of kids who play D&D? They’re really nice, actually. If they’re friends, that’s great for Max.”
“Yeah, frankly I don’t give a shit.”
I felt my heart drop to my stomach and I sunk back in my seat. Where did the hostility come from all of a sudden? We had been getting along just fine until now.
Billy looked over at me and sighed. “I’m sorry, that was uncalled for. Max isn’t my sister, she’s my step-sister. I’m just tired of having to look out for her as if we were actually related.”
“You may not be blood related, but you’re a family now because of your parents, and I guess everyone just assumes that it’s the big brother’s job to look out for the little sister.”
“She seems to do fine on her own with that,” Billy said. “I’ll be her chauffer and that’s where it ends for me.”
I decided to drop the subject there. It was clearly not something he liked talking about and I really did not want to make Billy upset. Things were going well so far and I had a feeling I didn’t want to get on Billy’s bad side.
The rest of the ride was pretty silent besides the music. I desperately wanted Billy to say something, or to come up with something to say myself to break the tension, but nothing came. I was almost disappointed when we pulled up to my house and our time had to come to an end.
I started to take off Billy’s jacket but he stopped me. “Keep it. For now, anyways.”
“Are you sure?” I asked.
“Yeah. It looks good on you.”
I felt my face heat up and I quickly looked away from him so he wouldn’t see.
I opened the door and started getting out when he asked, “Hey, do you have a ride to school tomorrow?”
“I usually take the bus,” I responded.
“I’ll come get you tomorrow.”
It wasn’t a question, so he didn’t give me any room to reject his offer. Not that I was going to. I smiled and nodded, mumbling a quick thank you before getting out of the car and running to my door. Once I was inside and out of Billy’s sight, I pulled his jacket close to me and took a deep breath, savoring the scent; his scent.
~~~~~~
The next morning, as promised, Billy’s car was in my driveway. This time, a head of red hair was sat in the front seat as I approached.
I opened the back door, thinking that’s where I was going to be sitting, but Billy quickly cut me off. “Maxine, get in the back.”
“Why?” Max demanded.
“Just get in the back!”
Max rolled her eyes and jumped over the center console to get into the backseat. I closed the door and got into the passenger seat instead. I had Billy’s jacket in my arms and went to pass it to him, but he stopped me again.
“You can wear today if you want. I’ll get it from you at the end of the day.”
I was too stunned to speak, so I just put on his jacket in silence, trying to hide the wide grin on my face.
Understandably, everyone at school looked at me with shock as I got out of Billy’s car with his jacket on. His usual trio of admirers glared at me as I walked past them, trying to keep my head down as to not make eye contact with them. The staring continued right up to my locker, where I finally took off the jacket and put it away for safe keeping.
I hated being the center of attention like this. I wasn’t a popular girl; I was the exact opposite actually. I was quiet, I kept to myself. I was invisible to all of these people normally. But now I was the big thing to talk about in school. The quiet girl who showed up to school with Billy Hargrove, wore his leather jacket, caught his eye as she walked past him to get to her class.
Just before I turned into my classroom, I met eyes with Billy and he winked at me. Suddenly, the embarrassment from all the attention I was getting washed away and I smiled as I disappeared into the room.
~~~~~~
That’s how it all started. One ride home on a rainy day, one trade of a leather jacket. When I got into Billy’s car to go home that night, he denied taking his jacket back again.
“I’ll get it tomorrow,” he had said.
Eventually, I stopped offering it to him. Eventually, it became routine that he would pick me up in the mornings and bring me home in the afternoons. Eventually, we started eating lunch together and spending time together after school and on weekends.
Eventually, Billy Hargrove became my boyfriend.
The first few weeks of our relationship, although I was loving the attention he was giving me, I found myself on edge. Like I was waiting for the big reveal that all of this was a joke. That he was just building me up to break my heart for laughs. That maybe he was dared by his friends to try and seduce the quiet girl for some sort of prize or arbitrary school title.
I decided to bring this up to Billy one night while we were hanging out in my bedroom. The look on his face when I said it was enough to confirm to me that this relationship was real to him.
“Why would you think that?” he asked.
I shrugged, looking away from him. “I don’t know, I just don’t see why you’d be interested in me. It’s not like we run around in the same friend group or anything, or even the same clique. We’re in completely different circles, and I...we’re...different.”
“Because I’m a bully and you’re the sweetest girl in school?”
I felt my face heat up in embarrassment. I tried to deny what he said, but it all came out as a bunch of stutters instead.
Billy chuckled. “It’s okay, you can agree with me. I know how people view me. I’m not entirely ashamed to be seen that way, but I hope you don’t see me the way others at school do.”
I shook my head. “I don’t. I’ll be honest, you’ve really surprised me with how nice you are. I’ve never heard of this side of you before.”
“I don’t show it very often. Being nice like this is...well, it’s weakness. I don’t want to be perceived as weak.”
I furrowed my eyebrows together. “Being nice isn’t weakness.”
“It is where I’m from.”
I didn’t know what that meant, but I didn’t want to ask him.
I found out days later when my mom came to my room and said, “Billy’s here. He’s bleeding. He looks upset.”
I rushed down to the front door to find Billy stood there, his hands shoved into his pockets and his head hung low. I reached out for him, taking his face in my hands to make him look at me. When he did, I gasped. There was a trail of blood running from both nostrils down over his mouth and chin.
“Billy,” I breathed. “What happened?”
He didn’t respond. I brought him into the house and led him to our bathroom. I ran warm water over a cloth and gently wiped the blood from his face. When I touched his nose, he flinched. I pulled my hand back, cringing at seeing him in pain.
“Who did this to you?” I asked him, my voice gentle.
He still wouldn’t look at me, so I took his face in my hands again and made him look in my eyes. I could see that his eyes were bloodshot and tears were pooling up around the brim of his eyes. This was all I needed to get an idea of who had hurt Billy, and, for the first time in my life, I felt a type of rage inside of me that made me want to go over to Billy’s house and make the person who hurt him feel the same level of pain.
“God, I’m such a fucking pussy,” he muttered, quickly rubbing the tears from his eyes. His voice broke as he spoke and it made my heart ache for him.
“You’re not a pussy,” I told him. “Nobody here is going to judge you for being upset, especially not me. I don’t know who told you that you have to be this emotionless, heartless piece of shit in order to get by in this world, but you don’t have to be that around me. If you need to be upset, if you need to cry over your d - over whoever did this to you, then you can do that here.”
Billy looked at me, the tears brimming in his eyes again, before he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me to him. He buried his head in the crook of my neck and I could feel his body shaking slightly as he began to cry. I held him tightly as he let all of his sadness out. I had never seen Billy cry before. In fact, I don’t think I had ever really seen him upset over anything. So to just stand there, letting him cry on my shoulder, nothing to do besides to be his emotional anchor, really broke my heart for him.
When he pulled away, his eyes were puffy and his face was tearstained. I turned on the cold water and soaked the cloth again before lightly dabbing his eyes and wiping his entire face. I ran my hands through his hair, fixing a few of the stray hairs that had been out of place.
“I love you, you know,” he said, taking my hands in his as I lowered them from his head.
“I love you, too,” I responded.
“Picking you up that day in the rain was honestly the best decision I could’ve ever made.”
“I was so surprised when you did it. You didn’t seem like the type to offer random, soaking wet girls a ride home.”
“The truth is, I actually have had a crush on you for a while. I never thought you could ever like me back because...well...I am who I am. But that day when I saw you walking home, I knew I couldn’t just drive past and let you go on in the pouring rain. Even if that was the only interaction we’d ever have.”
I leaned in close to him, taking in his warmth and that smell that I could easily get intoxicated with. “And look what happened instead.”
“The best thing to ever happen to me,” he mumbled against my head.
I looked up at him and gave him a quick kiss before pulling away. “You’re going to stay here tonight. It’s been decided. I don’t want to hear any arguments or anything. You can stay in the spare room, and you can stay as long as you need to.”
A relieved look passed over Billy’s face as he pulled me in for another kiss. I giggled as he picked me up in his arms and sat me on the bathroom counter, deepening the kiss and tangling his fingers in my hair.
“I really love you,” he said again.
“I love you, too, Billy,” I said. “For now and forever.”
“Promise?”
I nodded. “Promise.”

late night talks - billy hargrove x reader.
Tumblr media
a/n: in this i refer to the reader having a younger brother, i didn’t name him so it’s completely your choice as to who he is. he can be one of the stranger things kids (the only one i cant see him being is will because will is a sweetheart and i cant see him acting like this), or he can be just some random kid. enjoy!
you twirled your hair around your finger, a bored huff forcing a gush of air to blow at the few loose strands of hair that had fallen from the front of your tightened ponytail. you had been sat outside, on your doorstep for what felt like hours now (but in reality it had only been close to one hour) the cold concrete had caused a few shivers to travel up your spine and the light breeze of wind every now and then didn’t help but you didn’t want to move.
yourself and your boyfriend billy had a date night planned, you usually made sure to squeeze at least one in a week, preferably at the weekend but if needed an after school date was never really an issue. it was nearing eight o’clock on a friday night and billy had told you he was going to be picking you at seven when he had dropped you home after school, with a kiss and a promise that he wouldn’t be late. yet here you were, getting a few nosy glances from the neighbours that attended to their gardens as they took note of how long you had been stuck in the same spot. but you didn’t let it get to you.
the door that belonged to your house creaked open behind you, “(y/n), the phone for you. it’s billy.”
you didn’t miss the disapproving tone in the voice that belonged to your beloved younger brother, who was stood with a hand on his hip and a judgemental look in his eye. you just rolled your eyes at the tone, knowing he hadn’t approved of your relationship with hawkin’s self proclaimed bad boy since day one but he didn’t know billy the way you did. nobody did.
you didn’t bother to give your brother any kind of response, only lightly pushing past him to enter your home. the warm air engulfed you in a cozy hug the moment you got through the doorway and your body relaxed in satisfaction, delighted by the newfound heat. you quickly made your way into the kitchen where the phone was placed face-down on the counter.
“hey billy, where are you?” you questioned your boyfriend, the finger that was previously twirling at your hair now twirling around the phone cord instead.
“hey gorgeous, um...” you instantly picked up on how quietly billy was talking through the phone, almost whispering as if not to disturb anyone and your stomach dropped the second you understood why. “i’m really sorry but i don’t think i’m gonna make it tonight.”
of course you were sad to find out you would no longer be spending the evening with the boy who had stolen your heart within weeks of moving to the small town you had lived in since birth, but one feeling overpowered that and it was fear.
“that’s okay, don’t worry about it baby. is everything okay?” you questioned, now nervously chewing at your bottom lip, surely leaving some of the pink lipgloss you had applied earlier to stain your teeth but that was far from your biggest concern right now.
“yeah ... well no but.” he sighed, and you heard some movement echoing through the landline before he spoke again. “i can’t really talk about it right now but i promise i’m okay. nothing to worry your pretty little head about okay?”
you weren’t entirely convinced, but there wasn’t much you could do in this situation. storming over to billy’s house to find out what really went down would only cause more trouble for him and you knew he’d be the one to suffer the consequences, not you. so all you could do was nod and hope it wasn’t as bad as your mind was making it out to be.
“okay. but please, if gets any worse don’t suffer in silence. i’m always here for you, i’ll leave my window open for you tonight, okay? just in case.”
five miles away from where you were currently stood, billy hargrove’s heart swelled triple in size in his chest. he had never had anyone that cared for him the way you did, aside from his mother but he still held a whole lot of resentment towards her after she left him with his poor excuse of a father. everyday he feared you were gonna wake up one day and realize just what a piece of shit he was, come to your senses and tell him you were leaving him and that was that. but it had been near eight months now and you were both going strong.
“thank you sweet girl, i’m sorry for standing you up.” he frowned at the thought of you stood at the front door in a pretty outfit and a pretty smile, all gone to waste. “tomorrow night okay? we’ll go out tomorrow.”
“don’t worry about that right now, just look after yourself please billy.” you near enough pleaded through the phone, to which he responded to with a light chuckle but he eventually promised he would.
“look i gotta go, he’s been pacing around outside for a few minutes now he’s bound to come back in any second and if he sees me adding to the phone bill, i’ll be on for a round two. i love you, okay? i’ll make this up to you.”
your heart clenched, you swore you could feel actual pain in your heart at the hell your boyfriend lived through everyday from the one person who was supposed to provide him love and comfort.
“okay billy. i love you too, so much. don’t forget that okay? i’ll speak to you tomorrow.”
the two of you exchanged a few goodbyes, neither of you actually wanting to hang up the phone knowing that once you did the comfort of having the other person with you was gone, even if you weren’t technically in each others presence, hearing each others voice was almost as good. you let out a heavy sigh, your back resting against the wall as you closed your eyes and attempted to clear your head before it went on overdrive with a hundred different ideas of what was going on at the hargrove residence.
“he stood you up didn’t he?” the familiar voice of your brother broke the tension, a smirk present on his face as if he wanted to blurt out a proud ‘i told you so’.
you glared at him, yet again infuriated by the presence of your younger sibling who always thrived in your misery.
“it’s not like that dipshit, he’s dealing with stuff.” you crossed your arms, awaiting whatever bullshit came out of his mouth next.
“yeah, stuff meaning another girl. it’s so obvious.” he scoffed, and you rolled your eyes at the ignorant comment.
of course that’s what he’d think, that’s what everyone thought about billy. the only way you could prove him wrong was if you told him what was actually going on, but it wasn’t your personal life to share with whomever you felt necessary. you could never do that to billy, not only was it an incredible violation of his trust but you also knew billy would most likely want nothing to do with you if he found out you’d spilled his darkest secret.
so instead you bit your tongue, but sent another extra mean glare towards your brother before your turned on your heel deciding to retreat to your room for the night before nasty words were exchanged.
it was now just past midnight, and you were nice and cozy in bed with the book you were almost finished with and an almost cold hot chocolate sat on your bedside table. the only light in the room was the one coming from your lamp beside you, the rest of your room was enveloped in a darkness that you could only see through if you really focused.
you never minded the dark when you had a distraction from it, your book being the perfect one right now. you only had a couple chapters left and you were done, which was almost as heartbreaking as it was satisfying. luckily you had a few other books stacked up on your desk that you hadn’t read yet so it’s not as if you were at risk of lacking any entertainment when you finished this one.
just as you turned the page to the next chapter, you heard a clanging noise echo into your room almost as if something had clashed against the window. you jumped at the sudden break of silence, but it only took a second to understand what the noise was, or rather who it was coming from. you sat up right in bed, preparing yourself from the worst as your muscled boyfriend climbed through your window and landed on your carpeted floor with a light thud.
you didn’t know whether to cry or breath a sigh of relief when you saw his face and noticed he got away lucky this time, only a discoloured bruise sat on his cheekbone. it saddened you that you counted that as a win, that it was such a norm now to see billy walk around with cuts and bruises. but you decided not to dwell on the darkness of it all, not when you had billy right in front of you and right now he looked as if the only thing he wanted was some comfort.
“hey baby, come here.” opening your arms was all it took for billy to quickly kick off his heavy boots, his denim jacket quickly joined the boots on the floor and he was all but diving into your bed with his head resting on your stomach.
the book had been knocked onto the floor, the page you were about to read lost as the book closed but you were more focused on the broken boy laid on top on of you. you began running your fingers through his golden curls, using your nails to lightly scrape at his scalp, something you knew always calmed him.
it wasn’t long before his tense body caved in and relaxed at your comforting touch, his arms moving to give your body a tight yet gentle squeeze, his way of thanking you. no words were exchanged whilst you continued to play with his hair and massage his scalp, for the next ten minutes all that could be heard was the light breathing shared between you both and the occasional hum of approval that slipped past billy’s content smile.
he eventually moved, sitting up so he was now sat on his knees facing you with a vulnerable look in his beautiful blue eyes.
“he found out about our date, said i was wasting my time getting all dressed up like some pansy because i was on babysitting duty tonight.” he shook his head at the memory, and you were quick to lean forward and grab his hand between both of yours. “i tried telling him we had this planned for awhile, that it wasn’t something i could just cancel but he didn’t care. he just started screaming at me for talking back, called me disrespectful, said i didn’t appreciate all that he did for me and then he gave me a backhand to the face.”
he gestured to the dark bruise on his face, and you sighed giving his hand an extra squeeze. neil hargrove was a complete asshole, it was a shame he hadn’t fallen victim to one of the creatures that had escaped from the upside down last year.
“susan tried telling me he didn’t mean it, he was already pissed off from work and it had him getting mad at everything but-“
“that’s no excuse to go around hitting your son.” you finished for him, not entirely sure that was where he was going but it needed to be said.
he nodded in agreement, but didn’t say anything else.
“billy that man is a sad excuse for a father, the way he treats you everyday is disgusting i don’t know what could possess any person to hurt their own child the way he hurts you. it’s evil ... i don’t think you understand how incredibly strong you are for putting up with this your whole life.”
you moved, inching towards billy with a light grip on his shoulder and your other hand moving to caress his cheek being mindful of the new injury. “not many people would be able to live the life you live without crumbling under it all, i love you so much and i am endlessly proud of you for dealing with his shit without blowing up and doing something you can’t undo.”
billy finally held eye contact with you, his own glossy with unshed tears that only took one last blink for them to come rushing down his tanned face. you wiped away the streams, gripping the back of the californian boy’s neck to pull him towards you so you could place a gentle kiss against the now wet skin.
“what did i do to deserve you?” his deep voice reached your ears and you rolled your eyes playfully at the question.
“absolutely nothing hargrove.” you smiled, the same expression reflecting on billy’s features. “absolutely nothing.”
his hands that had been by his side throughout the whole interaction now rested on either side of your face and he slowly pulled you into a passionate kiss, his soft lips clashing with your own to give you the most love filled kiss he had ever given you. it almost brought you to tears of your own, feeling the deep intimacy in the act of affection that billy once was scared to show you, before you had broken down the walls the boy had built around himself over the years of neglect and abandonment.
the burn from lack of oxygen had you reluctantly breaking the kiss, one you had wished you could enjoy for two hours straight. a loving smile was present on your swollen lips, “sleep?”
billy smiled back and nodded, his eyes never leaving your own. “sleep.”

Billy Hargrove x reader
You make me breakout.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary:  After noticing you with Max, Billy harbours feelings which do not come clear to him until he ends up on your doorstep once again.
Word count:2328
Warnings: Mentions of Neil, language,
A/n: Billy lives au, Max and Billys relationship is improving. Based kinda over how I'm feeling lately.NOT MY IMAGES , also don't question them.
Billy hadn't noticed you at school because you never went to Hawkins high. Your family had moved to Hawkins after highschool had ended.  He had noticed you talking his sister, Max on multiple occasions,  and the other kids and Steve. He had told himself that was because you worked with Steve. Billy had even went into the video store claming to be looking for Max, funny how he never went in unless he saw you in the store.
When Max had announced to him that her and  Robin ( not mentioning the boys for obviously reasons, Billy wouldn't allow it)  were staying over at Y/n's house. Not until Billy had questioned who that was did a devilish grin crept up his face.
" Oh, I'll drop you off, don't want to start an argument with Neil.  Bullshit and he knew it , she knew it. If she protested Max knew it would be hopeless. Not long after Billy drove to your house. With his music blaring he did love to make an entrance.
When the party excluding Will and Eleven had came to you  ,knowing you had the house to yourself,  asking if they could have their campaign at your house. Using the word 'asking' was not appropriate it was more like 'We are having our campaign at your house.' Dustin shining you a toothy grin before giving Eddie a wide eye grin almost to say 'see'. Eddie only shook his head in fake disagreement, his hands tucked deep in his jean pockets.
Apparently they couldn't go to Mikes because the plumbing was being fixed and they coouldnt't go to Steve because he had been dragged out of town by his dad. ( Supposedly, big business trip that his dad wanted to convince Steve to join his fathers company. Supposedly from Robin anyways.)
Oh, speaking of Robin yes she was staying over too as to not leave Max out of the party if she didn't want to play D&D which she did not.   Figuring you, Robin and Max would just hangout whilst they played and the boys would likely just be going home after the campaign ( or so you hoped, didn't want them to ransack your kitchen in the morning).
The party hadn't arrived before you heard the purring and blaring of rock music traveling down the street. Robin had arrived previously and was sitting on your sofa going on flicking through the tv channels .  The music came to an abrupt stop which was followed by the slamming of two doors.
Robins eyes flicked up to yours, where you stood in the door way. " Max."  Is all she said before the door was knocked.
Your socked feet turning smoothly on the hardwood floor, making your way towards the door. Your fingers clutching the handle the cold metal against your palm as you unlocked the door. Pulling the wooden door to rest against your shoulder, so that the door was only partly open.
In front of you stood Max smiling slightly, sympathetically almost, as she clutched her sleepover bags, her headphones rested around her neck. Next her stood her brother, it was hard not to hear about Billy Hargrove , more specifically his ass. His hands stuffed deep in his front pockets, chewing the piece of gum with a toothy grin. Flirtatious grin.
"Hi , you must be y/n." Max rolling her eyes because Billy definitely just pushed his hair back with his palm ( Danny Zuko moment for sure,) purposely flexing his muscles. His tank top exposing his chest.
"Yes, and you're Billy." You thought maybe that tone would but him him off deciding not to let him to say more.
"Thanks for dropping Max off." You continued opening the door for Max and shutting it harshly behind her as she scurried in. Billy had scoffed smirking lingering on his face as he stood for a moment before heading for his car, swinging his car keys around his finger as he did.
Knowing Billy wouldn't be too happy with the boys coming over you had decided your harsh actions were necessary to get rid of Billy before the boys arrived shortly. For being roped into having the kids over and Eddie you had a good time. The boys ended up falling asleep at your house because the campaign had lasted longer than intented( well so they insisted).
Maybe that wasn't a good idea as your previous actions were to protect Max from trouble with her brother. The house was so loud in the morning that when you and Robin were clearing the mess from the kitchen, no one heard the door being knocked multiple times. All the blankets and pillows littered the floor could be seen as Billy opened your door ( that's really safe) his boots making contact with flooring .
His eyes darting around the entrance of your house calling out for Max. He saw all the sleeping equipment that was clearly for more than three individuals,  seeing the boys arguing with his sister in the middle of it.  You were heading into the living room when you almost bumped into Billy.
"O-oh,I didn't hear y-"
"Max said only Robin would be here." From Billy you half expected to go on rampage on how the boys had obviously slept over. Though he was still very unimpressed, feeling small under his harsh glare comparedly to how he looked at you the day before. Your socked feet slippery against the hard wood floor.
Instead he just let out a low chuckle as he looked around thinking for moment his hand against his jaw. Stereotypical hot guy action, looking at you Jensen Ackles. Quickly regaining your posture, staring him dead in the eye.
"They're like fourteen, don't cream your fucking pants they were playing D&D in the dining room whilst Max , Robin and I watched movies and ate pizza. Max and Robin stayed in my room. For the fucking record Steve owes me big."
"Such a filthy mou-"
"I wasn't finished, dickbag. If I hear that you go off at her for this , I swear I'll bite your fucking dick off. "
The gaping hole of his mouth turned to a straight line. The blue danced in his eyes like fireworks, his pupils dilated huge. Both of you unaware of the army of gremins hidden behind the sofa. Billy and you sharing eye contact, Billy unsure what to say, though those thoughts were quickly interrupted.
With fast pace Dustin had ran to the door after hearing several knocks to your door. The sound of Steves voice made both yours and Billy's heads to snap towards the door.
"Where have you been, man?!"
"Well I am so sorry, I'm not working at family video for the rest of my- ew what's he doing here."
"Awe, sweet talking me, Harrington?" Scoffing at Billy, folding his arms weight on one foot more than the other, Steve had look of disgust and disinterest written on his face. For moments only before Robin and Dustin had stolen him away , tug of war pretty much as they both ranted at him. Following behind them in search of Max informing her that her ride is here.
Your encounters with Billy were more frequent after that, very frequent. Not that he was stalking you or anything but he just started taking Max literally everywhere. She didn't have to ask either.
The Billy that everyone had met when he came to Hawkins was different to the person you had come to known. Maybe the change had happened because he had graduated highschool and no longer had portray constant asshole badboy. Though, he had his monents everybody gets that way. Nobodies perfect you live and learn it.
He had quickly used the money from lifeguard job and the current money he was earning from his mechanic job to rent a place to stay. He wanted to go back California to visit where his mum layed to rest, he wanted to move back in honesty. He would tell himself he needed to stay and save more but really he couldn't bare to leave Max with Neil. Worry drowned him that his old man would turn to her now he was gone. Can you imagine the look on Steves face when he pulled into the garage with his car to see Billy?
"Hey, Winchester? Johnnnn? Dad sent me-"
"He's not here, whatcha need?" Seeing Steves face drop made Bilpy laugh as he placed down the rag from his hand wiped his hands on his overalls qnd made his way towards him. Billy would take over the shop often when John was busy with his sons.
Billy rarely went to parties anymore and couldn't go to bars to drink. He found himself lonely which was weird for him , sure he was lonely living with his dad but that was different. He was more isolated. Less and less did he brought women home or in some cases the back of his car. Truthfully he had began to thinking about you a lot, more than a lot. He wouldn't admit he had a crush god no. He hadn't had a crush in years. He always got whoever he wanted , but not you.
More often than not he ended up on your door whether or not if Max was there or needed to be dropped off. Your late night conversations with Billy almost became routine, many reasons caused your perspective of Billy to change. Him asking Max constant what movies did she like, what was the album she had been wanting, giving the kids rides even lucas without trying to kill anyone.
So, when he had turned up at your house again you hadn't needed to think before you had let him in. Sometimes you would go to him but mostly he came to yours. Usually you'd both lay in your bed the glow of the tv the only source of light. Nothing sexual, only company and someone to talk to. Your sleepovers with Billy were more frequent than the ones with Max and sometimes he'd be there too. There was barely any point for Billy to be renting he was barely home.
His knuckles tapping gently against the hardwood of your door, you were waiting for him. Even though you didn't ask for him to come , you had hoped. In a baggy t-shirt you pulled yourself from the sofa, bare feet padding against the floor. Opening the door Billy studied your tear stained face, not mention you looked like you hadn't slept, trembling body.
Pushing you into the house pulling you into a hug, his arms around shoulders as he closed and locked the door behind. Your arms latching around his waist, the smell of smoke and mint engulfing your nose, tears soaking the cotton of his tank. One of his hands gently gently rubbing your back the other holding your head to him.
"Shh, It's alright, i've got you now."
Whether it was anxiety or loneliness maybe a few months ago you definitely would not have believed Billy would take care of anyone like he did you. The fact is he just wanted to loved and thrown away like a piece of gum after being used. He didn't want to sleep with different women each night. You took care of eachother.
Removing his shoes and jeans Billy pulled a pair of joggers from your wardrobe slipping them on. Kneeling on your floor fingers gently placing the video in your Vhs player, screen lighting up.
"Rocky horror? Tired of Indiana Jones?"
"Never," Billy had already gotten in your bed turning of the lamp you climbed in next to him. His arm immediately wrapping around you pulling you closer to him. At the start Billy would sleep on the floor, considering the first time he was blackout drunk and bloody. Then over time you'd talk to eachother about more personal subjects.
His breath on your neck as your eyes stuck to Tim Curry on the screen. "What's bothering my girl?"
Tears long gone since Billy had just held you for an hour. Heat travelling to your face even though he had been using constantly for a month. The kids often discussed whether you were together as Billy was not afraid to use the petname infront of literally everyone with his arm latched around you. He had to be near you or touching you. The kids and Robin betting on how long it would take, Steve outright denying you'd ever be with Billy Yuck.
"Fed up, I guess. I couldn't sleep again."
"I don't get why you don't call me instead of worrying. "
" Figured you were busy." The scoff that came out of his mouth was harshy as he moved his arm from you to grip your hand under the cover interlacing them with yours.
"Bullshit. Look at me." Your eyes still on the tv, not moving until his calloused hand cupped your jaw causing you to lock eyes with his. The light from the tv illuminating his features.
" Y/n, I care about you...fuck, I think I love you. You matter to me above everything, you're the only one that I can come to. " both yours and Billy's eyes widening after his words but he had continued nevertheless. You believed his words maybe that was stupid. Glancing at his lips briefly before pressing your lips against his soft ones , a tiny peck which still caused Billys mouth to open slightly in shock.
"I love you too, Billy."
Another night falling asleep next to Billy and waking under confined with his arm around you, breath on your exposed neck.

Author's Note: I’ve decided that for my New Years resolution I’d learn Italian. With that being said I decided to try and add some into the story. So I used my translator on my phone for some of the Italian in here. I am in no way shape or form fluent in Italian yet, but I hope to be eventually. If you guys see anything wrong with my Italian I am so so sorry and we are not trying to offend or anything. We just thought it’d be cute if the reader had some Italian background.
Also we now have voting open for Jason snippets!!! You can vote here. Please please please go vote and let us know what you want to see! Now please enjoy the chapter.

Jason’s Pov:
The girl in yellow gets dragged from her hiding spot, kicking and screaming. She gets dragged halfway down the hall and I fight my instinct to keep y/n away instead of deciding to rush in to help.
“Didi, I’m coming!” Zack yells out as he jumps out of his hiding spot before I even have a chance.
Her screams come to a stop and she looks at what looks like a robot in front of her. She stares at it in shock as it bends down to her.
“You’re real!” It exclaims in excitement before standing up straight when it hears Zack yelling.
Zack lets out a primal yell as he runs at the little red and silver robot, but the robot's arm extends like it did when grabbing the girl in yellow. The robot grabs Zack by the throat and throws him behind it. I rush out along with Kimberly and Billy before coming to a stop in front of the thing.
“We will kill you,” I warn the robot in hopes it’ll deter it from fighting.
“Kill me? How?” It asks, gesturing with its weird arms as it talks and shakes its head in disbelief.
“There’s six of us,” Kimberly states hesitatingly from beside me, trying to help.
“Yes, I know! I’ve been waiting for you,” the robot speaks as it throws his arms out.
“Wait, there’s two missing. Where’s the other guy and girl?” It questions as it looks at all of us.
“One, two, three, four…” the robot counts us out in confusion.
“Oh! There he is!” It exclaims as it shoots its arm out and pulls a screaming Zach over to us.
“Now, where is number six…?” it questions, looking around again as Zach steadies himself.
“Ahh, there she is,” the robot comments and its arm shoots out to y/n, who’s still practically catatonic.
He pulls her over and she stumbles so I quickly catch her. She leans into me and I pull her a little closer -as close as I physically can in hopes of protecting her better- as I quickly look her over to make sure the thing didn’t hurt her. Once I’m sure she’s ok, I look back up at the robot.
“All of you,” the robot says as it motions to us.
“In a spaceship buried underground? How long have you been waiting?” Billy asks in pure confusion as we all continue to keep our guards up.
“What’s today?” the robot throws his hands up again.
“Monday?” it asks with his head tilting ever so slightly as he gets a little closer.
We all instinctively move back a step and I make sure I’m more in front of y/n. Billy gives a small ‘yeah’ as confirmation to the robot’s question and I keep up my ready to fight stance with my one hand that’s not holding onto y/n.
“Then 65 million years,” the robot explains, making me and Billy look at one another.
“I’ve been very lonely,” the robot dramatically tells us after it lets out a sound that sounds like a sigh.
“You’re all so young looking,” the robot says in excitement before moving forward again, making us all quickly jump back away from it.
“This has to do with the coins?” I ask as I look at the robot in confusion.
“Yes, yes, the coins!” the robot exclaims as he throws his arms in the air.
“Different colors… different kids. Different colored kids,” he explains as he motions from right to left.
“I’m so excited you’re here!” it shouts as it jumps with its arms extending out just a bit at us again and we all shrink back in fear with gasps.
“Turn around…” it tells us as it motions with its hand.
We all watch the robot as it snaps its arms back into place and we all jump a little. We continue to stare at it as if we’re frozen.
“Go on,” it tells us as it throws its head lightly to the side.
Slowly we all turn around together only to be in awe once again. We look out over a small balcony at what seems to be a big TV-like screen with a glowing force in the middle of six platforms.
“No way…” I murmur in awe of the place.
“Proceed,” the robot speaks up from behind us.
Together we all start to head down the stairs, Kimberly and Zack go down before me. I stop for a moment and look down at y/n, who’s still wrapped around me. She slowly blinks and I smile.
“There we go. Come on, pretty girl. You’re all good,” I whisper as she blinks some more, but still hasn’t fully come out of it so I opt to just pull her along with me.
“Think this’ll work,” the robot mutters from behind Kimberly and Zack.
I follow Billy and the girl in yellow down the other steps on the other side. I gently pull y/n with me and it’s like she’s here, but not quite all the way with us, still frozen in fear.
“One, two, three, four, five, six. Different colors,” the robot continues to mutter as we get about halfway down the stairs.
“Guys, let’s focus on getting out of here,” Kimberly whispers loudly as we continue down the steps.
“Stay together, and then when we see a chance-” Kimberly continues on as we hit the bottom of the stairs.
“We run like hell,” the girl in yellow states, cutting Kimberly off.
“Okay… if we don’t get a chance?” I skeptically ask as we all come to a stop in front of the center that’s a glowing force of some kind.
“Then we kill it,” Zack comments and I look at him, but move my eyes when a small squeak comes from y/n.
I quickly look her over and now it’s like she’s waking up. She blinks and when she sees me, she instantly wraps her arms around me. I smile a little as I wrap my arm back around her shoulder and hold her closer, the feeling of instant relief washing over me.
“Welcome back, pretty girl,” I mutter as I leave a kiss on her forehead as comfort.
“Shouldn’t hurt, but let’s see,” the robot talks to itself as it stops on the other side of the platform.
“Please, step into the footprints,” it asks us as it motions to all the platforms.
We all look at each other in confusion and I feel y/n’s arms tighten around my middle. I gently squeeze her shoulder to let her know I’m there as I look at the others.
“No. We are not going to do that,” I whisper out to them and they all seemingly agree with me.
“Hey, question,” Billy speaks up, lifting his arm to get the robot’s attention before putting it back down.
“Um, what are you?” he asks and we all look at the robot.
“I’m Alpha 5, an alphormic lorcaid persona android,” the robot explains with his voice going out at the end.
“What?” I ask in confusion with furrowed eyebrows.
“He said he’s an Alpha 5…” Billy starts, but I hold a hand out to him.
“Yeah, I know,” I tell him and he nods before turning back to look at the robot.
“I’m a talking robot. You can trust me,” Alpha 5 tells us, its voice lowering to a whisper at the end as it holds out its hands in an open manner. Its eyes make a weird blink motion and I hear a scoff of disbelief from y/n, making me look down at her.
“Yeah, cause it’s definitely ok to trust a talking robot. Can’t see how that’ll end badly,” she says quietly, rolling her eyes and I hold back a laugh.
It then goes quiet for a moment and we all think it over. I see movement out of the corner of my eye, making me turn to see Billy stepping onto one of the platforms.
“Billy!” I whisper-shout at him, but he keeps moving.
He steps up on to the small platform before tapping a foot on it. It makes a ding sound and a dust-like substance flies up from the platform. Billy looks down at the platform in awe before taking a small leap with his eyes closed.
When nothing happens, he opens his eyes and looks at us. He laughs lightly and looks back down at where he’s standing before looking back up again. He then waves his hand at us in excitement.
I feel y/n let go of me and I immediately reach for her, but she avoids my grip and walks over to a platform of her own. Next, Zack turns and looks at us for a moment.
“What the hell,” he says with a shrug before he steps up onto a platform too.
“Okay…” the girl in yellow whispers out as she and Kimberly simultaneously agree before walking to their own.
I start to walk over to the last one between Kimberly and y/n as the girl in yellow and Kimberly step up onto theirs. As I make it about halfway, y/n smiles at me and nods.
“Why do you keep looking at each other? Is that, like, a human thing? Fascinating,” Alpha 5 asks as Kimberly and the girl in yellow keep eye contact the whole time they step up.
The girl in yellow takes one last deep breath before both her and Kimberly nod to each other. Y/n finally fully steps up onto hers as I slowly reach mine. She watches me with a smile and I look at her one last time for confirmation that I should do it.
She nods at me and with one last deep breath, I step up onto mine. As soon as I do, there’s an explosion of light that starts from the middle and works its way out around all of us. At first we all jump to cover our faces, but we quickly adjust to the light and lower our arms.
“Oh, it’s working! This is great! It’s working!” Alpha 5 shouts out in excitement as he dances around and I hear y/n let out a giggle.
There’s a surge of power and the whole room starts to shake as the wall behind me seems to start moving. We all instantly crouch to the floor and reach for anything to stable ourselves as the shaking continues. Instantly, I look over at y/n to make sure she’s ok, but her eyes are wide.
At first I think she’s looking at me, but I quickly realize her eyes are trained behind me. I turn around and my own eyes widen when I see the clear outline of a face coming out of the wall.
“Zordon, are you there? Zordon!” Alpha 5 yells out as he walks closer to the wall.
The head coming from the wall speaks a weird alien language as it seems to be looking around frantically. Alpha 5 talks back to it with wild arm motions in the same language. They have a conversation in the language for a few minutes as we all continue to try and get grounded from the continual shaking.
“Okay, okay,” I whisper out as I take a quick look back at the face before turning to look at y/n again.
I quickly jump off the pedestal and rush over to the girl in yellow. Out of the corner of my eye, I catch y/n jump off after me and rush over as I pull the girl in yellow up off of hers. Y/n grabs my hand and I pull her with me.
“Come on,” I tell her as we start to run off.
I feel a tug on my arm and turn back to see y/n. She’s looking at Billy, who seems to be frozen on the ground still.
“Jay. He’s in shock,” she tells me and I nod.
“Go with the others. I’ve got him,” I tell her as I pull her around in front of me and push her lightly towards Kimberly.
“Come on! Let’s go! Move!” I yell as I grip onto Billy and pull him up, snapping him out of his shock.
I run towards the group with Billy hot on my heels and y/n holds her hand out to me when I get closer. Together we all run back up the steps and towards the door, but come to a stop when the door closes us in. Billy knocks on it and the head in the wall keeps talking in the alien language.
“Still think it was a good idea to investigate, J?” Y/n sarcastically asks, rolling her eyes.
“So not the time, sweetheart,” I whisper back and she just shrugs.
I feel y/n squeeze my hand and I squeeze hers back as we all slowly realize we’re not leaving. We all stand there, breathing hard for a few minutes before finally Alpha 5 speaks up.
“Come forward, please?!” he yells out to us and Kimberly sighs.
youtube
“Do we have a choice?” she asks in irritation and again I feel y/n squeeze my hand.
“Don’t think so,” I hesitantly reply with a sigh as I squeeze y/n’s hand back again.
Alpha 5 says something else in the alien language as we all slowly turn around. We slowly walk back down the stairs.
“Look! It’s Zordon!” Alpha 5 shouts as we start down the stairs. “Zordon, they don’t know who you are,” Alpha 5 states as he turns back to the head in the wall and we get about halfway down the stairs.
“Come in! Come in!” he again shouts as he turns back to us and motions us to him.
“These are them? They’re so small, especially the one next to red,” Zordon seems to observe and I feel y/n sink back a bit.
Once again, I squeeze her hand and she looks up to me. I give her a small nudge like I normally do when she gets insecure about her height. I mean, she’s not overly short, just a little shorter than me and maybe a little bit shorter than Billy. It’s just something she gets insecure of sometimes, but she knows she’s not as short as people make her believe. I’ve had to remind her many times that she’s the perfect height and not to worry about what others say, but sometimes I know she definitely still thinks about it.
“Funny, I said the same thing, actually,” Alpha 5 agrees with the head in the wall.
“You mean to tell me that the fate of the universe is placed in the hands of these— these children?” Zordon asks as he turns to look at all of us before moving farther down the wall.
“The universe? That’s a big place,” Billy mumbles to himself and I see y/n smile softly at him when he catches her watching him.
“They’re teenagers! Somewhere between infancy and full maturity. It’s hard to explain, really. I don’t—” Alpha 5 starts to explain, but Zordon cuts him off.
“Show me the coins,” Zordon demands before again sliding across the wall to me, y/n and Billy.
I reach down, pulling my coin out as does y/n and Billy. Together, we all hold them up to Zordon.
“The morphing grid is never wrong. If the power coins have returned to the ship with these…” Zordon starts, but pauses.
“Teenagers!” Alpha 5 shouts, filling it in for him.
“With these teenagers,” Zordon repeats in annoyance.
“Then these teenagers are the power rangers,” Zordon says doubtfully as he clearly rolls his eyes.
“Power rangers!” Alpha 5 exclaims as he puts his head down and does a victory motion with his arms.
I put my coin away in my pocket as Billy claps in excitement. I let out a chortle and shake my head in amusement at his excitement. Y/n lets out a small giggle as she also shakes her head, a small smile gracing her face.
“What?” The girl in yellow whispers out as she looks at Kimberly.
“Okay, quick question,” Zack is the first to speak up as he steps back up onto the ramp of his pedestal.
“Hello. Hate to interrupt. Did I just hear you say we’re power rangers?” Zack continues as he fully stops at the end of his pedestal.
“Yes,” Zordon starts before once again he’s sliding down the wall to look at Zack.
“Yes. You are the power rangers. Any other questions?” Zordon confirms what he said as he stops.
“No, I think I’m good,” Zack tells him and Zordon replies with a firm ‘good.’
“I got a question,” Billy quickly thinks out loud.
“Um… hi, how, you doing?” Billy speaks as he raises his hand before stepping off his pedestal as Zordon slides across the wall again.
I turn to look over my left shoulder at him and y/n turns over her right. I then quickly spin back around as he stops behind me to look up at Zordon. I look back at y/n, who now has her arms crossed and she gives me a shrug.
“Oh, okay— um, my name is Billy. Billy Cranston. Kids used to call me billy crams-tons—” Billy starts to ramble and I feel y/n nudge me with her shoulder.
“Billy!” I call out to him and he turns to look at me and y/n.
“Stop,” I tell him in a whisper as I hold my hand out.
“I’m sorry,” he whispers to me before turning back to Zordon.
“Uh… the images here in this sphere tell a history of the power rangers. Looks like the power rangers were a team that protected life,” Billy explains as he looks at the glowing center between all the pedestals, making us all look at it with him.
I hear a small gasp and look down at y/n to see awe on her face. I chuckle lightly before squeezing her hand, making her look at me. She gives me a tight-lipped smile before looking back at the moving colors.
“And life is a bright light. Or a piece of light?” Billy finally asks his question before turning back to look at Zordon.
“Yes. Yes, very good, Billy,” Zordon praises and we all turn to look at Zordon.
“It is called the Zeo Crystal,” Zordon starts to explain, taking a pause.
“Oh, I love this part. This is good,” Alpha 5 exclaims as he leans back in excitement before standing straight and walking closer to the glowing center.
“And every planet in the universe that has life has a piece of the crystal inside it,” Zordon continues to explain as we all look back into the glowing center.
“Sixty-five million years ago, Zordon’s Team died defending the crystal here in what is now Angel Grove,” Alpha 5 adds on as he points up at Zordon, then back at the center.
“The coins have chosen you five,” Zordon proclaims and I feel y/n squeeze my hand again, making me well aware that her fear is rising even more, so I squeeze hers back.
“Yes! I knew it!” Alpha 5 yells out as he fist bumps the air.
“Now you must protect the Zeo Crystal and life on earth,” Zordon tells us and I arch an eyebrow.
“Because… we… are the power rangers?” I ask in confusion and alpha 5 turns to Zordon.
“He’s smart!” Alpha 5 exclaims and y/n lets out a breathy giggle, making me look down at her. She shrugs, trying to hide a massive grin.
“Well, he’s not wrong…” she whispers out to me, wiggling her eyebrows at me and I shake my head, trying not to laugh.
Kimberly’s scoff pulls us both out of our little moment and we both turn to watch as she takes a step forward. She raises her hand, but puts it right back down.
“I’m sorry, um, is this some kind of joke?” she asks and out of the corner of my eye, I see y/n roll her eyes.
“Like, I’m standing here with a wet wedgie. My socks are soaked. We’re squishing around in here. We’re talking to a wall! I mean, guys… ” Kimberly starts to freak out a little bit and again, y/n rolls her eyes.
“Silence!” Zordon yells out and suddenly the whole room is a bright white.
We all go flying off our feet and I try to keep a grasp on y/n’s hand, but somehow we lose each other's hold. I freak out a moment, trying to locate her before I’m suddenly waking up on the couch of the living room of my house. I blink and for a split moment it’s utter quiet.
I sit up and look around, confused and feeling an absolute dread falling over me. It stays quiet, but I find myself getting up and walking to the front door that’s slightly ajar. It creaks as the air gently pushes it and I reach down to the handle.
I pull it open and find myself in downtown Angel Grove as I walk out the door. I find myself in the middle of the road, but everything seems desolate and eerily quiet.
“Dig! Dig, Goldar!” I hear a whisper that makes me turn to look behind me, but nothing is there, just road and more Angel Grove.
I turn back around and just as I do, there seems to be some explosion in front of me. There’s a green light and smoke before suddenly everything changes. It’s now all gray and people are screaming.
I look to the side and see what seems to be statues of frozen people. I realize they’re all people I know, like dozens of statues before suddenly there’s a person in green right in my face. I move back a bit, but she stays there.
Suddenly she starts making ragged breathing noises and it feels like all the air is being taken from my lungs. Pain is all I feel for a few minutes and she reaches out for me. I then push myself back and my arms hit the statues, making them dissolve into dust.
Then before I know it, I’m back in the ship and falling to the ground. We all fall to the ground and I let out a few coughs as my mind tries to come back. I hear another groan that pulls me out of my own pain and I turn to find y/n laying on her stomach.
She groans as she moves to her back and I slowly slide over to her. I look at her for a moment, silently asking if she’s ok. She lets a tear roll down her cheek before nodding slowly. I sigh and lay my head back on the ground.
I feel her hand come closer and grip onto mine. I grip onto hers right back as we both still try to recover from the blow of the landing.
“Sir. I’m detecting elevated heart rates. They’re— they’re very scared,” Alpha 5 observes and I roll over, trying to get up.
“I don’t understand,” I say as I am finally able to stand back up.
“Why would you show us that nightmare?” I ask as I start walking over to Zordon.
Y/n reaches out to me, but pulls her hand back with a hiss before just letting me go.
“It’s not a nightmare. It’s the future,” Zordon answers as all the others stand now too.
“Was that for real?” Kimberly quietly and breathlessly asks as she looks at the girl in yellow.
“Felt like it,” the girl in yellow tells her.
“And who was that woman?” I ask just before coming to a stop.
“Sir? I believe Orange has a broken rib,” Alpha 5 interrupts, making us all turn to see him looking at y/n.
I see y/n still on the ground and my heart leaps into my chest as I rush back over to her. She groans as I quickly pull her into a seated position.
“My bad. I didn’t realize she’d fall on her stomach. She should heal fine, but Alpha, give her a scan just to be sure,” Zordon tells Alpha 5, who nods before walking over to y/n, but I stop him, holding out a hand.
“She’s not going anywhere without me,” I say in a threatening tone and Alpha 5 shakes his head as he flicks his wrist.
“No need. I can do the scan right here,” he tells me and with a little nod, I let him continue over to us.
He scans her and she lets out a few coughs, but nonetheless seems absolutely fine. Once he’s done scanning her, he looks at her.
“You should be 100% healed, in… I’d say an hour tops,” Alpha 5 tells her and she nods, even though her face shows pure shock.
“Wanna stand?” I ask her and she hesitantly nods before grabbing onto the hand I have held out to her.
I gently help her stand and as we do, she keeps a death-like grip on my hand. Once fully standing, she grimaces for a moment before nodding at me. I keep a hold of her and like she reads my mind, walks with me back over to Zordon.
“Ok. You were saying?” I ask as I look back up to Zordon.
“Her name is Rita Repulsa. She will create Goldar, a huge monster who will rip the crystal from the earth, and all life on your planet will die. With the Crystal, Rita will have the power to create and destroy worlds,” Zordon explains and y/n lets out a breath of shock.
“Wow, way to scare us into being these… power rangers,” y/n sarcastically says with a roll of her eyes.
“So, let me guess. You want us to kill this woman? R— Rita?” The girl in yellow asks and I turn back to look at her.
“Ay, ay, ay! Rita,” Alpha 5 corrects her as he puts his hands to his head like he’s pinching his nose in disapproval.
“She must be stopped,” Zordon adds in a solemn tone and I feel y/n shiver lightly.
“When is she coming?” Kimberly asks, looking at Zordon with a look of disbelief.
“She’s already here. My best guess is we have 11 months. Oh, I’m sorry, days. Days, 11 days,” Alpha 5 changes his estimate as he flings his hands up, then back down.
“If we’re the Power Rangers and this is our ship, if I walk through that door right now, will it open for me?” The girl in yellow asks in a scarcely even tone after she huffs.
“Yes, of course,” Zordon answers without hesitation and I turn to look at her.
“Let’s go,” the girl in yellow says before her and Kimberly turn and start to run.
“Whoa. What are you doing? No, no, no come back!” Alpha 5 shouts, reaching out as all of the others except me and y/n run out of the room.
I look at Zordon before taking a step back and starting to walk away. Y/n follows, still keeping a hold of my hand as we walk back to the stairs.
“No, no, please don’t leave,” Alpha 5 begs us as he takes a few steps behind us.
“Jason, my ranger team died defending the crystal from Rita. That’s why I’m in this wall,” Zordon appeals to me and I turn back to him.
“How’d you know my name?” I ask him as I look up at him.
“Because it’s you, Jason Scott. You are the leader. You are the Red Ranger,” Zordon tells me and the light behind us changes, making me turn to look at it.
I watch in awe as the red ranger in the middle does a cool spin-around move. It then changes to the green ranger.
“Rita was a ranger, too. And my friend. But she betrayed us. Wanted more power. She lost her way. Now she is just pure evil,”  Zordon explains as I watch the green ranger in the center before turning to him again.
“But nobody’s pure evil. Did you try appealing to her? Maybe reminding her of what you guys once were?” Y/n asks as she turns to him and Zordon sighs, giving her a sad look.
“We tried everything we could think of. Still, she let the power go right to her head,” he tells y/n with a sigh and I turn back to the glowing force.
“That’s so sad…” y/n tells him and Zordon gives a hum of agreement.
“Believe me. I would have done anything and everything to save Rita,” he tells her and she sniffles, but I know she’s holding her tears back even without having to look at her.
“You must bring them back. All of the rangers. You must train your team to stop Rita before she has the strength to find the crystal,” Zordon urges me and I shake my head.
“Okay. We’re leaving,” I reply as I put my hands up before starting to back away.
“And I only speak for myself and this one here—” I start as I point to y/n.
“No! You speak for all of them. You know that deep down what I’m saying is true. You were born for this,” Zordon says and I stop halfway to look back at him.
“Y/n, you comin?” I ask her when I realize she’s not walking with me.
She keeps her stare up at Zordon and he gives her a look that I can’t exactly read cause he’s a wall. She nods at him before turning slowly to me and grabbing my hand. She looks up at me and I smile softly at her before grabbing her hand.
Together, we walk out of the main room and down the first few halls we were first in. Soon before we know it, we’re back in the cave headed towards the water that brought us here.

He takes a turn and the sun shines on your face. The light, golden and warm, makes you close your eyes. You've never thought you'd know such happiness in your life, and at that moment, with the wind messing with your hair, you can't help but remember.
Beautiful, sweet memories you hold dear, in the most special place of your heart.
It was a rainy day and the moment you stepped outside the building, the sky fell on you. Ignoring the frustration, you focus on getting to your car as fast as possible. No umbrella, you walked fast, high heels clicking on the concrete, the noise almost swallowed by the rain. That week you couldn't use the parking space reserved for the employees because it was being used as a construction site, you don't remember what for.
But why would you? That was the day you met him. Everything else that happened that week, before or after, were secondary.
Your car was two blocks away, and you had no choice but to get soaked on your way there. When you reached the street, a mix of the heavy rain and the desperation to get to your car made you bolt through the street, without looking at the sides.
Then, you see a mass coming at you, dark and huge, and you hear the distinct noise of a car violently hitting the breaks. You stopped, startled, your ankle twisted and you fell on your ass. Another car passed flying by, blasting its horn.
You were still a bit disoriented when you saw someone through the corner of your eyes. And when you turned to see, you were sure you had hit your head. You knew him, recognized him immediately. “Oh.” You remember mumbling, bringing a hand to your forehead.
“I'm so sorry.” He said, and you only noticed he had an umbrella when the rain suddenly stopped hitting you. “Miss? Are you alright?”
“Are you real?” A stupid question, one he still teases you about.
He chuckled, held your arm, and helped you get up, guiding you off the street. “I believe I am.” He answered. “I'm Dacre Montgomery... But I have a feeling you already know that.”
Then, another stupid thing: “You almost ran me over.”
Dacre chuckled again, lips breaking into a smile. “You didn't even look. And the light was green.”
Embarrassed, you bit your lip, finally meeting those beautiful blue eyes. “I know. But I'm soaked to the bone, and I'm having to park my car over there and it's really cold.” You couldn't help but rant about it crossing your arms to try and brace yourself against the cold.
The smile didn't leave his lips. “I can walk you to your car. Or drive you there if you like.” He offered and you sighed in relief because the last thing you wanted was to leave the safety of his umbrella.
“Walking is fine. Is just over there.” You said, pointing at the empty site your company has been using.
“Then let's walk,” Dacre said, and it got to you at that moment that he was leaving his car in the middle of the street, being raged upon by some angry drivers, and accompanied you to the parking lot.
The rain didn't give in, and by the time you got to your car, you wondered how long you'd be stuck in traffic before getting home. “Thank you so much, Mr. Montgomery.” You told him, opening the car door and getting inside. Dacre stood there, the rain falling all around his black umbrella. You didn't understand back then why he didn't just say goodbye and left, running back to the safety of his car. You didn't understand why he stood there, looking down at you. “I'm a huge fan of your work.” You decided to add before you lost the chance, turning the ignition. “I'd ask for an autograph and maybe be bold enough to ask for a selfie but...” Your voice faded when you noticed the car was silent. “Sorry, I...” You tried once again, but the car didn't respond.
“Funny...” Dacre muttered, and when you looked up at him, not minding the rain getting the inside of your car wet, you found him smiling again.
“I... I don't think this is funny at all.”
“No, not your car, just... It's funny because I was hoping for an excuse to spend a bit more time with you.” He said, and your jaw dropped, cheeks starting to get hot. Was that really happening? “And since your car decided not to work, I can get that time by giving you a lift home.”
You remember gasping, blushing, the cold not bothering anymore, not when the butterflies started flying all over your stomach. It just then hit you, when you once again bracesd your bag against your breast and got out of the car, back under his umbrella, that it could be that Dacre Montgomery was interested in you.
Leaving your car behind, you both made the way back to his car, and he opened the passenger door for you before going around and getting into the driver's seat. “I'm getting your car all wet,” it was the first thing you told him when the car started moving.
“It's alright.” He glanced at you. “You can pay it back.”
Raising your eyebrows, you buckled up and turned to look at him. “How much do you want, Mr. Montgomery?”
“A dinner.”
“A dinner?”
“Yes. Let's say... Saturday. I pick you up at eight.” Another glance, and you had to bite your lip, eyes on the windshield because you couldn't look at him again.
“...Are you asking me out?” You had to be sure, just in case you misunderstood something. Better safe than sorry, even more in an unexpected situation like this.
“I know what you're thinking. You're probably reminiscing every movie and TV show you've seen me on and thinking why would I ask you out when I could have some supermodel or anything of the sorts.”
“Yeah...” He pretty much summed up what you has gone through in your head at that moment. And that's when you realized Dacre wasn't like most men. That he wasn't shallow and selfish, and superficial. The realization made you smile.
“Well, the first thing I thought when I saw you on the ground, soaking wet in rainwater and pale as a blank sheet of paper was that you're one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen.” Another glance, and you couldn't help but smile at him. “Now I want to know the girl underneath the pretty face.”
“Saturday at eight, then.” It was everything you had said to that, because, in your mind, you thought you would have a good time, something you could tell your friends later on, that you had one, or two, or a few dates with Dacre Montgomery. And that would be it...
But today, with the sunshine on your face, making the world under your eyelids a dance of red and pink and hot oranges, you're happy to know Dacre wasn't just a story to tell.
He's your life. A very important part of it. The engagement ring on your finger is proof.
“You went silent,” Dacre says, and you feel his hand on your thigh. “Everything alright?”
“I was remembering the day we met.”
He meets your gaze, the wind messing with his hair. You didn't like the idea of a convertible car at first, but it feels amazing. Free and wild. Reaching out, you touch the back of his neck. “It'll be a good story to tell our kids. ‘I almost ran over your mother because she didn't look at the sides when crossing the street.’ ”
That makes you chuckle, moving closer to him, just enough to kiss him. It's fast because he needs to keep his eyes on the road, but sweet and loving. “I'll also tell them you tripped on the curb on our first date.”
“You wouldn't dare.” He says with a smile.
“Oh, I would.” The memory makes you laugh as hard now as you did two years ago. “I definitely would.”
“Two?”
“Two what?” You ask, caressing his hair softly.
“Can we have two kids?” Dacre looks at you again, those beautiful blue eyes piercing through your skin, making you feel at home.
And his question, the way he makes plans for your future together and talks about the family you'll build, warms up your heart, just as the sun warms your face. “Two.” You agree, and the smile he gives you makes you kiss him once again. “This road is beautiful.” You say as you settle back on your seat, taking your phone to make a video.
“Wait until you see the house I rented. You'll love it.” As he speaks, you take your phone and start making a video. Dacre has such a peaceful expression, and that makes you focus on him more than you wanted to before showing the road behind. “For the future generations or the fans?” He asks just before you turn the phone back to him, and then, to the road ahead.
“Both. This is beautiful, I want people to see it.” Ending the video, you put the phone down and Dacre takes your hand, bringing it to his lips and kissing it.
“Have I told you that I love you today?”
“No, not today.” You say, giggling.
“I love you.” With that, he speeds up, and once again, you close your eyes to the sunlight, letting its warmth bring back all the good memories...
And you can't wait to create new ones, even better, with the amazing man sitting next to you.

Hi I was just wondering if I could request a one shot of a 18 year old named Jamie the sister of Joe Keery who also plays Chloe Harrington Steve’s sister and during the Billy and Steve fight scene from S2 Jamie is holding the kids back while everyone is screaming their lines she gets hit with this overwhelming feeling of dizziness & nausea from exhaustion of filming all day. She quickly shakily grabs onto something to keep her balance & grabs the attention of the crew the duffers yell cut & walk up asking if she’s ok while Dacre & Joe stand beside her. When she says she feels faint & stumbles both boys careful grab her & lead her to a couch on set the duffers call medics to check her over as Joe tries to keep her talking & alert not to faint as well as the duffers doing the same but very little leading to Joe taking care of her the rest of the day.
If you can’t I completely understand have a great day
Hello, love! Thank you for sending this in, this was such a sweet picture sou painted with that in my head, and while I'm not one for real life ships, THIS is some platonic friendship and siblings, so I tried my hands at it and hope this came out alright. I really enjoy writing sibling relationships as it seems (and mix in a little good friend Dacre here). So, I hope you enjoy this little piece 💚
Requests are open | prompt lists for inspiration | Stranger Things Masterlist

---
Working on a show like Stranger Things had been a completely new experience for Jamie, especially because she was playing alongside her brother Joe. In the show, they were playing siblings, just like in real life, so the friendly banter that happened on screen was something they were doing from experience. There had always been little fights as well, but in the end, they had a wonderful relationship, could always count on each other. Something the Duffer brothers had picked up on and had allowed them to show on screen as well. Where there was Joe, there was Jamie as well most of the time.
So, it was no wonder that she appeared in the fight scene between him and Dacre as well, taking over the job to keep an eye out for the kids. It had been a long day already, starting at four in the morning, but they wanted to finish filming that scene before they wrapped up for the day. Jamie felt the exhaustion in her bones, not having slept at all last night, hence being awake for way too long already without taking a break. She’d skipped lunch, because she hadn’t felt hungry, but by now, she was feeling how much that was wearing her down. It was just one more scene, she told herself, she could do that.
They got on their marks, Jamie among the kids waiting for Dacre to come through the door to start the scene. She swallowed hard, bit back the nausea that was threatening to pull her under, but she could do it. It wasn’t the first time, she was exhausted at work and was able to pull through, right?
Action!
Dacre barged in and delivered his lines before he went at Caleb. Jamie did her part and held the other ones back, trying to protect them from Billy, and Lucas was able to fend him off. Enter Steve, her brother who took up the role of protector in this scene once again. He landed his first punch, giving Caleb the opportunity to get back to the others and behind Jamie.
“I’ve been waiting to meet this King Steve everybody’s been telling me so much about,” Dacre spewed his words at Joe, channelling Billy perfectly. If Jamie hadn’t known that they were filming, she’d definitely be scared of him, but she knew what a sweet soul Dacre was.
“Get out!” Just like they’d talked about, Joe spoke his words before Dacre swung at him. While they were fighting, crashing plates in the process, Jamie held her hands in front of the kids, keeping them back, hearing them yell their lines, when all of a sudden their voices sounded dull, like they were getting further and further away from her. She closed her eyes to shake off that feeling, but when she opened them again, the whole room started to spin, making her feel nauseous. Her knees felt weak, and she grabbed hold of the cupboard next to her to not crumble to the floor. Oh, this was bad, really bad.
Gaten’s eyes were on her, checking if she was alright, if this was part of the scene, something he’d missed out on or something they’d added without the rest of them not knowing. When Joe catches a glimpse of her, though, he doesn’t waste a second to get to his sister. The crew eventually realised what was going on.
“Cut!” could be heard throughout the set and everything stilled
Jamie could feel her brother’s presence beside her, someone else on the other side, gently grabbing hold of her elbow to stabilise her.
“Are you okay?” she heard someone ask, not sure who it was, because she’d closed her eyes again, trying to fight the dizziness.
“I… feel a little faint,” she whispered, wrapping her hand around Joe’s arm, because it was something, someone familiar.
“Come on, just a couple of steps.” Another familiar voice said, the one holding onto her elbow, and when she blinked her eyes open, she saw that it was Dacre, helping her to the nearest couch together with Joe.
“Can we get a medic in here?”
The commotion surrounding her made Jamie close her eyes again. She felt a little better as soon as she was seated and didn’t have to stand anymore, didn’t have to rely on her legs holding her up.
“How are you feeling?” Joe asked, taking her hand in his, giving it a gentle squeeze to keep her focus. “And don’t lie to me, ‘cause you know that I detect when you’re lying to me.”
She could hear the smile in his voice, trying to lighten the mood. Being the centre of attention because of something like this wasn’t doing Jamie any good, she’d much rather be somewhere else, somewhere more private, but she knew that she wouldn’t be able to walk over to her trailer right now.
“I thought I could pull through, you know?” she said quietly, eyes drifting shut again.
“No, no, no, don’t close your eyes. Look at me please!” Joe tilted her head upwards waiting for her to open her eyes again, and she did, making him smile in turn. “Good. You should have said something, Jamie. We could have rearranged something.”
“It was okay… and all of a sudden…” She shrugged her shoulders, earning her a squeeze of the hand Dacre was holding right now, sitting on the other side of her.
“It’s alright,” Dacre said, reassuring her, a smile on his face that stood in stark contrast to the fake blood from the fight between his character and Joe’s.
“I’m still sorry.”
“Stop apologising, okay? It’s no big deal. It could have happened to any of us.” Dacre ran his thumb over the back of her hand to reassure her, and it really slowed down her breathing a little.
When the medics arrived, Joe and Dacre gave them some room, but Joe stepped behind the sofa to put his hand on her shoulder, show her that he was there, and wouldn't go anywhere. The Duffer brothers stayed with them as well, while they dismissed everyone else. It wasn’t good to have everyone crowding in around Jamie, suffocating her. They were just worried about her friend, but right now, the less people, the better for her.
The medics took their time checking her vitals, asking her questions, and she already knew that this was mostly her own fault, so she bit her bottom lip after confessing about skipping dinner.
“Alright, she needs lots of rest starting now, something to eat and lots of water.”
Joe nodded his head immediately.
“I’ll take care of her.”
“We’ve wrapped it up anyway. And we don’t want to see you on set until you really feel better, okay?”
“Yeah… sorry about all this.” Jamie looked up at them with an apologetic smile, but nobody was angry at her like she’d feared. All of them had just been worried, and were glad that it was nothing serious.
“I’ll help you get her to the trailer,” Dacre offered, helping Joe get Jamie up off the sofa.
“You really don’t need to do that. I can walk by myself.” Jamie tried to protest, but the slight wobble in her step betrayed her words.
“Sure you can.” Joe rolled his eyes, gathering her things, while Dacre decided that there was an even better way to get her to her trailer.
“Wrap your arms around my neck and hold on tight,” he ordered her before lifting her up.
“Are you crazy! I’m way too heavy for you to be carrying me.”
“Actually, you’re not. And now, just hold on tight. That’ll make it easier.”
Joe just grinned to himself, watching the two, seeing the pout on Jamie’s lips slowly disappear, only to be replaced with a shy smile. She knew that she’d lost this battle, and should rather comply than start an argument that she was sure to lose.
Joe led the way to her trailer and opened the door, so that Dacre could carry her inside. He carefully put her down on the sofa.
“Thank you.” Jamie slowly looked up at both guys. “Really, I appreciate everything you’ve done.”
“You don’t think I’m gonna leave you all alone, do you?” Joe plopped down next to her, wrapping his arm around her shoulder. “I’ll make sure that you follow the doctor’s orders!”
“And I’ll get you something to eat,” Dacre offered, and before Jamie could protest, he was out the door again.
“You really don’t have to stay here, Joe.”
“But I want to. Granted, I should probably take a shower, and so should you, but only after you've had something to eat.” He leaned over to press a kiss to her temple before he straightened again.
“God, I feel so awful about all this.” Jamie buried her face in her hands, trying to calm her breathing again. Now that they were alone, she thought about what had happened, how this had played out.
“Hey, hey, hey, stop that.” Joe reached for his sister’s hands, gently pulled them away from her face. “Things like that can happen, okay? No need to worry. Everyone was more concerned about your well-being anyway instead of anything else. Because they all care about you. Okay? We can keep filming tomorrow.”
“I…” she stuttered, taking a deep breath. She knew that he was right, she’d felt it in the way everyone had reacted, and so she was able to smile again. “Right. You’re right.”
“Good. You won’t get rid of me today. Well, just for a moment to take a shower, but apart from that, I’ll keep you company and make sure you get enough sleep.” Even if that meant that he had to sleep on the sofa, he would NOT leave her side tonight.
Dacre came back shortly after he’d left with steaming food for all three of them, an extra big portion for Jamie. While Joe gobbled down his dinner, the other two took their time.
“I’ll just take a quick shower and then I’ll be back, alright?” he asked, looking at Dacre and Jamie.
“Sure, I’ll keep her company,” Dacre answered with a grin, making Joe leave without having to worry about you.
“I can stay alone, you know? You’ve already done enough with getting food for us.”
“Nonsense. You’re not supposed to be alone right now, and I actually like spending time in your presence. So don’t worry about it, ‘kay?” Dacre gave her another smile, before he concentrated and the rest of his food. He hadn’t had time to get changed or shower, but he’d at least wiped the fake blood from his face, so he felt a little bit more like himself, even if he was still wearing the wig.
“Thank you,” Jamie said, a sincere smile on her lips.
“No problem.” Dacre watched her for a moment. “You really scared us there for a moment.”
“I know, and that wasn’t my intention.”
“I know that. Just… you need to listen to your body, to what you need, and if that means taking a break, so be it. Or do you need someone to remind you that you need to eat, even if you don’t feel like it?” It was an offer, and while she knew she could talk to her brother about this, make him remind her to get some food, it was nice to have someone else do that for a change.
“I think that might be a good idea.”
“Good, then I’ll do that, and maybe shove some food your way whenever I get something for myself.” Dacre chuckled, already having that plan in his head, because he wanted the people around him to feel good, to be safe, and if that meant taking care that you ate enough throughout the day, he was happy to take that upon himself.
They ate the rest of their meal together, chatting about this and that until Joe came back from his shower.
“You feeling better?” he asked, taking his seat again, looking her over, but he was already relieved to see the colour returning to her face.
“Yeah, definitely. Thank you!” She looked between the two men in her trailer, a smile on her lips.
“Good! Now, you’ll need lots of rest, so I’ll leave the two of you alone and hop in the shower.”
“Thanks Dacre!” Joe spoke up, grinning at his friend. While they were enemies on screen, they’d grown quite close off screen.
“Anytime!” With that, he was out of the door, leaving Jamie and Joe alone.
“And you’re gonna take a shower, leave the door unlocked, and then we can watch a movie or whatever, alright?”
“Can we watch Digimon Adventure?” she asked, giving him her best puppy eyes. A wave of nostalgia hit Joe, but he chuckled. They used to watch it when they were younger all the time.
“Sure thing. Now get a move on, before I shove you in there. You stink.” He got up to clean the plates, a grin plastered on his lips.“I do not!” Jamie gasped, clutching a hand to her chest, before she got up and hugged her brother from behind, held him like that for a moment, before she grabbed a fresh set of clothes and vanished into the bathroom. Joe looked after her, shaking his head. He’d been worried sick about her, but now he was able to calm down a bit. He wasn’t only the protective Steve Harrington in the series, a part of that was all him as well, because he couldn’t not take care of the people he loved. And so he waited for his sister to get out of the shower so that he could tuck her in and watch her favourite series with her until she drifted off to sleep. Much needed sleep at that! All the trouble was forgotten the next morning, when she could start over fresh - and since then, Dacre always had some food for her, even if it was just a chocolate bar.

trust me - billy hargrove x reader.
Tumblr media
“billy you cannot be serious right now? you’re going to believe them over me? really?”
you were mad, mad and upset. your boyfriend of almost a year now had approached you after school with a scowl resting on his handsome features and an extra stomp in his step. he had laid into you the second he saw you, instantly accusing you of being some kind of two-timer who was cheating on him with his mortal enemy (his words).
when you asked him where he got all this from, he told you carol and tommy had told him during lunch.
“they’ve seen you (y/n), riding around with steve all hours of the day! like on saturday, when you were supposed to be helping out your grandma with cleaning out the attic. we had to cancel our date for that!”
those bastards, only happy when there was some kind of drama going on. you knew that was the only reason they’d told him, not because they’re good samaritans who thought billy deserved to know. no, fuck that. they wanted some free entertainment and billy was stupid enough to give them that.
yes, you had been out with steve a lot lately but there was absolutely no funny business going on. you knew lying to billy was an awful thing to do, but what were you supposed to do? tell him that you were secretly trying to figure out how to save hawkins before a big monster came out from another dimension and began possessing everybody one by one? hard pass.
“come on billy, you know i wouldn’t do that to you. i love you for christ sakes, do you not trust me?” you questioned the teen, who stood in front of you still looking as pissed off as ever. but you couldn’t really blame him, if you’d found out he’d been sneaking around with another girl and feeding you lies about where he was you’d probably be pissed off too.
“i do! well i did, until now. what were you doing with harrington, huh? why did you cancel our date to be with him?”
you let out a frustrated sigh, pushing your hair from your face with force. “look, i know how weird this all looks and i don’t blame you for feeling the way you do. not at all. but i need you to trust me billy, please. i can’t tell you what we’re doing, not yet. but i promise you, cross my heart and hope to die that there is absolutely nothing going on with steve and i. or any other boy in hawkins for that matter. i love you, i want to be with you. nobody else.”
maybe six months ago billy would’ve scoffed, before he continued to argue with you and accuse you of going behind his back. perhaps even call you a few names before he disappeared somewhere and gave you silent treatment for a few days. but he had changed since then, with your help he had learned to listen instead of reacting instantly.
so, after a few beats of silence he nodded. he still looked agitated and on edge, but he had visibly calmed down a whole lot which in return, calmed you down just the same. you sent him a grateful smile, taking a step closer to your boyfriend and wrapping your arms around his midsection.
with your chin resting on his chest, just under where his chain sat you looked up at him. “thank you. i love you so much, you know that right?”
“of course i do, i just wish you’d tell me what the hell is going on.” he instantly responded, one of his hands reaching down to trace your jawline.
“i will, eventually i promise. it’s just a lot to take in and i don’t think right now is the perfect time for all of it. but you will know, soon enough, what’s going on.”
it obviously wasn’t the perfect scenario, billy was now more eager than ever to find out what you were hiding. but with confirmation from yourself that you were not cheating on him with the ex king of hawkins high, he could relax having complete faith that you wouldn’t lie to him about something like this.
“okay.” he nodded once again, “okay. i’ll wait.”
-
omg hi !! this is my first time posting in over a year, i know it’s short but i wanted it to be like a little ‘hi i’m back’ type of post. i have three other (longer) works in the making, and i am considering re-writing my same, but different series because i left it at an awkward place and i’d rather start it again than continue it. but yeah that’s all i have to say, i’m back!
