WHEN HIS BABY GETS JEALOUS. . .
Tumblr media
✫ ft. akaashi, atsumu, iwaizumi, and suna x mom!reader
✫ a/n: the kids are ages 1-3 (can stand, walk, talk in sentences). the babies aren’t really “jealous” in some of these. they just want some love and affection, too !!!
✫ warnings: usage of “mom” and “mama” to refer to reader
Tumblr media
✫ AKAASHI leans into your touch after coming home from the office, his tie loosened and his hair a bit messier than usual. you two are splayed on the couch, his head resting peacefully on your chest as he updates you on bokuto’s recent msby game. and just minutes later, you feel your son pull on your leg. an eruption of babbles leave his lips as he whines and tugs. “mmm, it’s my turn with mom,” keiji whines into your collarbones. you can't help but laugh at your husband's child-like behavior. "keiji, get off, you're gonna make him upset." and as keiji nuzzles his face in the crook of your neck, your baby breaks out into a sob, "mama! mama!" filling the small living room. keiji gets up from his place on your chest and picks your son up, mumbling "i'm sorry, bud" into his equally messy hair. "mama's all yours," he kisses the top of his head and allows him to crawl happily into your arms. "you're as whiny as your mo-" "keiji." he can't even be upset at his limited time with you — the image of you holding his entire world makes up for it.
✫ ATSUMU lingers in the kitchen after tucking your daughter in to bed just about every night. he puts dishes in the cabinets, wipes down the counter, and traps you between his arms for a moment of intimacy. "mind if i kiss ya, babe?" he asks, knowing you'll let him anyway. "you'll do it no matter what i say," you turn your head to the side, creating distance between his lips and yours. "no! i'm a gentleman! that's why ya married me, isn't it?" a laugh leaves your lips and you're stepping up onto your toes to reach his. his hands wrap around your waist, pulling you close against himself. it's been hard to find time for yourselves — your daughter was at the age where she'd walk (stumble, really) away if you took your eyes off of her for even a second. and as you pull away from the kiss, breathless and all, you hear the pitter patter of her tiny feet approaching you two. "baby, why are ya awake? can't sleep?" atsumu bends down to her level, pushing her hair back from her eyes. she rubs at them and then wraps her tiny arms around his neck to kiss his cheeks. "i want a g'night kiss too!" she whines. "alrighty, baby, ya can get as many as ya want! make sure ya give mama a kiss too," he tells her before peppering her cheeks with loving kisses.
✫ IWAIZUMI used to wake up early every morning, getting ready for the day at a slow and relaxing pace, but he finds it harder and harder to do so when you cling onto him, asking for five more minutes of peace, five minutes of calmness before the storm (the storm being your daughter, of course). she's gotten clingier with every step she could take. she wakes up with the sun and makes her way to your bed, struggling to climb up with her tiny legs. the sight of her dad's arm around your waist brings a pout to her lips, her cheeks puffing out as she whispers a "daddy?" and of course, he's awake (he's been awake for the past 15 minutes). "wanna come up?" he asks her before unwrapping his arms from your body and lifting her onto his broad chest. she immediately crawls over him, kicking his face with her feet in the process, to place herself between you two. her little arms and legs wrap around your torso like a koala, and she looks up at you with a toothy smile. "my turn,” she says, nuzzling her head into you. you hear iwa mumble under his breath (something about waking the team up with kicks to the face).
✫ SUNA always searches for you and the twins in the crowd. his team had just won a game that he's been training especially hard for, and it's the first time in a while that you've seen his dimply smile on his face. he runs up to you and the twins with nothing but joy in his eyes. grabbing ahold of your waist, he presses a kiss to your lips — his teeth clash against yours and he's laughing into the kiss out of sheer happiness, but you don't mind it one bit. your sons pull at your clothes as they try to get your attention. suna catches a glimpse of their raised arms and pulls away from you to lift his boys into his own arms, one on each side of his body. they're cheering for their dad, clapping and yelling, “you did it!" suna's never been an affectionate guy, opting to show his love in more subtle ways, but he feels the urge to pull you and the boys in for a tight hug (one where you can feel the rapid beating in his chest). he kisses the top of your head before pressing one on each of the twins' cheeks. "let's go celebrate, yeah?" suna grins. he’d do anything to hold you three like that again after each win — his prized possessions in his arms.

02:42 a.m. — daddy's day out
AKAASHI KEIJI is usually calm and collected. He always think three steps ahead and has several backup plans in case something goes wrong. Some would say he's stoic, almost emotionless—until he became a dad.
Although he's busy with several projects at hand, he never failed to pay attention to his family. He's a dedicated husband and a doting father to his son. To strengthen his bond with his child, he requested to have a dedicated day for them to bond.
However, during one of those days, something inevitable happened: your son's first vaccination.
It was an event you wanted to spend with them, but you were also stuck at your workplace where heaps of tasks awaits you.
“will he be fine? i've read several articles online and also asked some of my colleagues about their children's first vaccination, but i don't think it prepared me enough...”
the doctor and her assistant smiled as they prepare the materials they'll use for this session. the doctor explained the process and gave him an idea of what might happen afterwards.
keiji nodded his head while listening attentively to her response. his son, atsuki, has always been a calm child just like his dad—and sometimes, it makes you and akaashi worry about him.
“ah... i can't look...” he whispered while keeping atsuki's right arm from flailing around. “i'm so nervous...”
atsuki tried to turn his head towards the doctor, but her assistant was quick to keep his head in place.
“he'll be fine,” the doctor responded calmly while applying holding the syringe close to your son's arm. she insert the needle in his chubby arm while the assistant hands over a plaster towards the doctor.
the deafening silence was ended when atsuki began to wail. akaashi kissed the top of his head while soothing his back.
“it's okay...”
akaashi himself couldn't stop his own tears from falling after hearing him wail in pain. “it's for your own good, atsu-kun,” he whispered while peperring the top of your son's hair with featherlight kisses.
“one vaccine done.”
akaashi looked at the doctor, terrified. his slowly calming heart began to race. “there's more?!”
“it's the last one... today, at least.”
he was horrified.
needless to say, you both agreed to make time whenever your son's getting vaccinated. because neither of you has to go through all that alone.

………………..
Semi Eita:
“That’s it sweetheart, keep going.” Semi coos at his 3 year old who is playing a little pink guitar (for children) she’s singing the words to You Are My Sunshine while Semi was recording her.
Why? Well, to cheer you up. Your friend was going through some really hard stuff that made you feel very upset so you went to help her out. Meaning Semi was to take care of your sweet toddler.
“Shunshine, you are mah shunshine!” She sung happily, Semi couldn’t bring himself to correct her wording. “You make me happy- uh what rest of da words daddy?” She asks still strumming the guitar out of tune.
He whispers the words as not to interrupt the video, “when skies are gray.”
“When skies are gway!” She sets the guitar down after singing that line.
“Daddy I done, send to Mommy.” She says eagerly and he chuckles. Your long time boyfriend (now fiancé) stops the recording and sends it to you.
“I think mommy will love this video.” He says holding his arms out for Kana to sit in his lap.
“I hope it make her feel happy, you think she really like it?” Kana asks playing with her small fingers.
“I think she’ll love it, would you like to play the piano, my dear?” Your home is filled with a bunch of instruments and Semi loves letting his little girl choose something each day to try to see if she’ll be a musical genius.
“Hmmm,” she taps her chin and responds, “I wanna play drums.” He moves his hair out of his face and picks his daughter up to take her to the music room where Semi works on songs and holds practice for his band.
“Drums it is!” He says and Kana claps her hands and does a little cheer.
Half way through their drum session Semi gets a phone call from you. When he picks it up he puts it in speaker.
“Hey baby, you’re on speaker.” He informs.
“Hey,” you say sounding tired. “Where’s my sweet pumpkin who sung for me?” You ask over the phone. Kana sets down the drum sticks and practically runs over to Semi’s phone.
“Me! It’s me mommy!” She says bouncing up and down.
“Thank you Kana, that made mommy feel much better.” You tell her which makes her giggle.
“Thank you mommy! What else I sing?” She asks. Your precious three year old is definitely ready to sing another song for you.
“How about row, row, row your boat?” You asked knowing it was an easy song that Kana knew.
“OO! OKAY!” She took a deep breath and started to sing.
“Row, row, row-” she stopped and you planned to ask her why but she answers the question that doesn’t come out of your mouth.
“Daddy! Why you not singing? Mommy loves when Daddy sings!” She practically scolds.
His deep chuckle is heard on your end. “Sorry, sorry. Let’s sing it together.”
Your two most precious people sing Row, Row, Row Your Boat. You felt better by the end of it. After Kana talked to you for a bit Semi dismissed her to play the drums while he chatted with you for awhile.
In the end you two talk about how precious your beautiful daughter is.
he sings his little girl to sleep as often as he can
they make up new songs together all the time 🥺
DREADS leaving for concerts
omg he loves it when u guys come to his concerts
he'll be like "shout out to my beautiful wife and baby girl who made this opportunity possible"
tbh he's lost ur daughter a few times " oh shit... i thought she was w you"
he has his two fav girls tatted on his shoulders
Aran Ojiro:
Fifteen year old Mei walked over to her father, she noticed him rubbing his temples.
"You okay, Daddy?" ahe asked worried for him.
"Yeah I'm good baby girl, momma and i just got into again. We'll make up with each other, though." Aran explains rubbing his goatee.
Mei walks over to him and gives him a hug.
"I'm sorry, Daddy. It's not your fault that I got dress coded." Aran didn't say anything in return, he was sighs realizing how unaware he was when arguing with you.
"I talked to momma about it, you didn't know the skirt was too short. It looks a lot like my other one, right?" She states.
He was starting to realize how childish the argument was. Mei's school is very strict so the fact the skirt was two inches shorter than it needed to be was beyond Aran's understanding. He hadn't even noticed the difference.
It only became a problem because you had to leave work to pick up Mei. Aran couldn't because he had a game. When he came home you started arguing with him. He argued back because you pinned the blame on him. After all, he was responsible for getting Mei and Koro to school.
"Yeah it does. Is Koro sleep?" He asks his daughter.
"I put him down before y'all started arguing." She says retracting from the hug.
"I'm really sorry, I don't like when you and momma fight." Aran frowns, you two have been fighting more often than usual.
"I know baby, I think momma is stressed with a lotta stuff. I mean she's finally back from maternal leave, she's working toward a promotion, and some other things. I just gotta be more mindful."
Before Mei can respond you emerge from upstairs, "Go on Mei, momma needs to talk to daddy in private." It doesn't go unnoticed how Mei gives her dad a thumbs up before making her way upstairs.
"Aran, baby, i'm sorry.. Mei told me what happened." You say quietly. You had no idea what you were expecting but it wasn't your husband holding his arms out for you.
He embraces you quietly for a few minutes. and then he responds.
"I know things have been rough lately. I just want you to know, I still love you." He explains softly.
That shouldn't have made you tear up but it did.
"I love you too, Aran. Always." You say mirroring his previous statement.
SUCH A GOOD COOK
He was amazing helping you thru pregnancy i mean that man worked his ass off
You two agreed on no more kids after Mei but Koro came long sooooo
He loves both his babies dearly, he doesn't have a fav
Hates arguing with you :((
Not allowed to take them to stores cuz he's weak to their puppy dog eyes
He's 100% a dad superhero to his kids
Nishinoya Yuu:
Noya stared down his toddler. The little man started babbling very loudly.
"Don't you get an attitude with me, Akio. You think you're so high and mighty cuz, you're the result of my sperm!" He says in a teasing voice.
"Nishinoya Yuu he is two years ol-" you were cut off by your son.
"Sp-erm!" he says and claps. Noya mutters an 'oopsie' and you glare at him. "Yuu! Stop saying stuff like that in front of him," you scold.
"Well, tell him to stop copying me." Akio looks at his dad, "Stop, stop, stoooooooooop." You couldn't help but giggle it was so interesting seeing your son find his voice.
"Bye bye. Akio go bye bye." He says struggling to get down from the couch. Once he's down he starts running towards the bathroom.
"Yuu, make sure he's going potty and not playing in toilet water... again." Noya makes his way to the bathroom. After a few second you hear a groan followed by, "Akio, noooooo."
Your son can be heard laughing followed by, "daddy, noooooo."
"Dude toilet water is not something to play with." Noya sighs.
"Fuck you!" The two year old yells and you gasp loudly.
"Huh, wonder where you learned that, kid." Noya chuckled sheepishly.
"Nishinoya Yuu!" You yell and he comes into the dining room with your cute little trouble maker who had nothing on besides his pull-up.
"Ooooo daddy get trouble."
Noya begins muttering, "I don't- he must've... Tanaka..." you tap your foot and your two year old giggles.
"Tanaka what? Speak up, babe." you say with your arms crossed.
"Tanaka and I were watching a volleyball game with Akio and we were betting... the team I was betting on won so tanaka screamed f you when my team won by one point." Noya explains.
"Akio, that's a no no word, okay? We don't say everything we hear others say." You scold your son because not only is it Noya's fault it's his fault too.
"Otay mommy." Noya puts your little menace down.
"Let's go get you bathed little dude." He says smuggly.
"Good idea." When they're out of ears reach you sigh rather loudly.
You love your two guys but it can be tiring when your husband stoops to a two year old's level.
The type to be like "you want a piece of me little man?"
More often than not instead of handling a situation normally he'll get on his son's level
He stopped traveling so often to settle down with you
He and his son are always getting into some form of trouble
He made your son think popsicles are a sustainable breakfast
Butttt when you're gone he does pull himself together and makes an amazing father
He and Akio take naps together, being a menace is not easy work
Akaashi Keiji:
"No! The monster will get me!" Ami yells as she runs away from Bokuto.
"Papa save me!" She yells out to Akaashi.
"Honey, your Uncle Bokuto isn't a monster." he explains.
Bokuto pouts at Ami's reaction, any time he's over she gets scared. The scared little girl crawls into her father's lap for comfort. Akaashi rubs her little back and she hugs him close.
"I don't try to be scarey, Ami. I brought you candy!" Bokuto exclaims with the candy in his hand. It seems to work for a second because she turns her head to look at him. He smiles at her and she makes a small 'hmph' and nuzzles her head in her father's stomach.
"Come on, bun. Don't be shy, your uncle is really cool.." his voice lowers and he mutters, "at least most of the time he is." Ami hears this and giggles.
"Okay papa... you gotta hold my hand though, just in case." She says shyly.
Akaashi nods his head confirming he'll listen to his daughter's request. She cautiously approaches Bokuto. He holds out the candy for her to take, without hesitation the young girl grabs the candy and remembers her manners.
"Thank.. you." she says to bokuto. He beams at her and nods.
"That's my girl, you've got great manners." Akaashi says with a very small smile.
Everyone turns their head to the door because they hear it unlocking. "Ami, mommy's home with the kitten!" You yell.
Ami jumps up and down quickly forgetting she was even scared, "What did the vet say?! Will Popcorn be okay?!" She asks all at once.
"The vet said Popcorn has perfect health." Ami squeals in excitement. She runs over to the carrier to open it up so her kitten could come out.
Akaashi looks at his daughter in awe, "she's just like you." You know who he's refering to. He believes that your daughter looks more like you but you think it's the opposite.
"Papa come hold Popcorn!" Ami says. Akaashi walked toward the cat carrier and picked up the kitten. Ami was a giggling mess.
"Akaashi! I always knew you'd make a good father!" Bokuto exclaims dramatically.
"Huh, you really think so?" Akaashi asks and Bokuto can't get a word in because you're quick to interrupt.
"We know so!" Well, everyone knows so. Akaashi is calm and rational after all. He completes you and your daughter.
Stay at home dad (i don't make the rules)
His daughter is a daddy's girl
He initially said no to a kitten but you and your daughter begged until he said yes
Pretty calm in most situations
Surprisingly didn't freak out when he found out you were pregnant
He did so much research on how to be a dad because he didn't wanna mess up
VERY protective of his daughter
He bakes with his daughter as a hobby

“Dadda?”
Naturally, you were the first to stir, the pitch of your toddlers voice being something you’d been able to recognize even before it slipped from her mouth. It’s muffled slightly behind a pacifier, but it’s still loud enough for your Keiji to wake beside you.
“Mei, my love, light of my life…” there’s a pause. “Why are you awake?” The bed shifts next to you, and it’s plenty hard to cover your laughter as it is, let alone with the causality in Keiji’s asking.
“Snack time?” The small voice peeps. There’s another pause, and this time, Keiji’s trying not to laugh, and he tries to mask such a reaction with a cough.
“N-No, baby it’s uhm…” he looks over at the clock. “It’s two in the morning, snack time’s not for a few hours now.”
“But I’m hungryyyy!” Mei whines, prompted by a ‘shhhh,’ from your husband. “Okay, okay baby, just don’t wake mommy up.”
Too late. But you appreciate the effort. With a yawn, you feel the bed lighten next to you as Keiji stands up. He grunts softly, and you assume he’s picked Mei up to speed up the process.
The rest is fairly quiet, save for the occasional laughter from your three year old and the deep voice breaking through of Keiji. You sigh and follow Keiji’s example, toeing on slippers and finally making your way out to the kitchen, shivering slightly at the cold.
“…that’s why we go to bed every night,” a drowsy voice hums from the kitchen, and you can’t help but chuckle softly at yourself.
“But that’s not what uncle Bo says!” She gasps, and you watch from the doorframe as Keiji drops his head with a defeated sigh, “yeah. Remind me to stop letting you hang out with him.”
Your hand physically comes up to cover your mouth in an attempt to keep yourself unknown, you just want to soak in the scene a little more- Keiji’s arms flex as he balances his fatigued frame against the counter, arms caging Mei while familiar blue eyes blink up at him. It’s something he does commonly to prevent her from falling, but now he just looks like he’s doing it for himself than anything.
“Uncle Bo says you n’ mommy used to be fun, but I think you’re lots of fun, daddy!”
You hear a husky chuckle slip out of Keiji’s lips, and he offers her a shrug and a sigh of exhaustion, “I appreciate that, princess. But please, finish your cereal.”
“I think you’re fun too,” you say, stifling your laughter when Keiji absolutely buckles his knees from fright, nearly collapsing to the floor while your daughter cackles with her mouth full of dry cereal. When he finally is able to recover from his folded knees, he sends you a playful glare and a shake of his head, “oh you’re such a biiii…” he stops himself at the remembrance that his child was right there, and when you cock your brow in challenge, he clears his throat. “-beautiful, loving soul, who I’m proud to call my wife.”
“Yeah, that’s what I thought you said,” you grin, stalking into the kitchen and wrapping your arms around Keiji’s waist. He’s still warm from the sleep he was robbed from, and you nudge your nose against the dip in his back. “Do you want a snack too, my love?”
“Nah,” he yawns. “If I eat now, I’ll be up the rest of the night.”
“Babe,” you snort, watching your toddler put the tiny marshmallows in her cereal to one side, the actual part of cereal to another, her feet swinging softly as she does. “I think we will be, anyways.”
He sighs and drops his head in defeat, “an apple with some peanut butter, please.” You snicker again as you place a kiss to the back of his neck, finally parting to go make his snack.
And sure, tomorrow morning, when Keiji has to snooze his alarm four times, you’ll both regret this. And when you and Mei go to the grocery store, you might fall asleep on your feet as you wait in line, but that doesn’t matter now.
Because right now, there’s a little bundle of joy sat on the smooth countertop sorting her marshmallows from her cereal, and the man who helped make her so perfect stands just a few feet away, sweatpants low on his hip while he forces himself to stay awake.
And there’s not one thing you’d do to change the memory you’re making.

*calling Akaashi Keiji*
“Yes, hon, what’s wrong?” Keiji asked.
“Keiji, I'm sorry, did I interrupt your work?” Y/N asked
“It's okay, I’m almost at the break, so what’s emergency, hon?” Keiji asked
Y/N suddenly turn the call into a video call.
Y/N’s face showed up while she’s carrying their son, Kaito. Kaito has a bad fever for 2 days, mostly crying when his dad’s not around.
“Dadda…” he sniffles in his sleepy face and raspy voice.
“Oh baby, are you okay, bud?” Keiji asked worriedly.
“Sorry honey. He’s not stopped crying since you left the house. I already brought him to the doctor and he was fine, but the crying was never-ending until I realize he was calling your name”
“Uh-huhu daddaa!” his face is getting lighter when he saw Keiji’s face move.
“His fever still hasn’t gone?” Keiji asked.
“Yeah, he’s been crying for hours now, and now he didn’t want to eat anything. I’m sorry hon, but could you help me by keeping the video call with him until your break ends?” Y/N asked with a tired face.
“I can help, but are you okay? I can ask my boss to take a half-day,”
“No need, Keiji, this is the second time he’s whining about you. He needs to learn that his dad is working” Y/N put the tab in Kaito’s baby desk so he can see Keiji by himself.
“I guess that is something you must patiently teach a 1-year-old about ‘work’ honey.” he chuckled.
Y/N went to the kitchen with a tired face and didn’t mind what’s Keiji’s last words on the phone. She needs to prepare Kaito’s food.
“Uh! Uh! Dadda Abu-bubu” Kaito babbled around
“Are you happy now, Kaito?” Keiji asked from the screen.
“Dadda dadda mumma!” he's happy when he heard Keiji’s voice.
“Kaito, you shouldn’t be bad to your mom,” Keiji said.
“Ba-ba? Kaito Ba-ba?” he tried to copy Keiji’s words.
“Yes, Dadda will be home early today., but Kaito should be good with Mama until Dadda goes home”
“Uh-huh Gu-gu” he clapped his hand.
“Okay, Kaito. Now dadda wants you to go mommy there and hug her. Huggie huggie. Remember?” Keiji shows his son hugging himself, indicating Kaito needs to hug his mom.
“Huggie?” Kaito tries to copy his dad’s pose from the screen.
“Yes, mama there” he showed Y/N’s photo. Kaito turns his head and sees his mom.
Kaito crawls to his mom and tried to reach his mom’s skirt. When you look at him, he’s sitting, opens his arms, and indicates he wants to hug her.
When she saw him with a puppy face, expressing “I’m sorry to make your day hard mama”. She just smiles, hugged him, and rubbed his back.
Keiji smiled when he saw that lovely scene on the screen
He took a screenshot of Y/N and Kaito hugging on his phone.
Suddenly, he felt an intense quiet around him.
When Keiji turns his head, all of his co-workers are looking at him
“Mr. Akaashi, you’re soooo sweet to your wife,” one of them tells him.
“Yeah, you even didn’t mad during this tight deadlines, your son has to take that from you when he grows up”
“Sorry guys I think I made a good disturb before our break” Keiji apologized, he didn’t realize that he was too focused on taking care of his family even over long distances.

ꕥ fixing his daughter’s hair to match yours ꕥ
note: ty for 900!! As a thank you, I’ll post this early ❣️
father-son ver, fluff, lots of it, some domestic fluff, not rlly proofread
Osamu, Daichi, Akaashi, Iwaizumi, Aran || long-haired reader, fem!reader
Osamu
He sat on his daughter’s bed, brushing the little girl’s hair as she stands between his legs
“lil mochi, how ya wannit?” he calls her by the little nickname he assigned since her birth (he thought she looked like a small soft squishy mochi)
“like mama, please” the toddler replies, remembering the quick braid you wore as you dressed her up in the morning
her father lets out a chuckle, finding her politeness cute because she definitely didn’t get it from him (it was def from you)
“alrighty, comin right up” he separates her hair into three streaks, creating the hairstyle you taught him when you first started dating
in a quick fashion, the braid is neatly completed with a tied
“ya like it, mochi?” he places the end-tail on her small shoulder
she jumps, squealing out of delight. “Yes, papa!”
he crosses his arms, smiling out of content at his work
she hastily grabs his hand, catching him off guard
“cmon! we gotta show mama!”
ꕥ you were making some pancakes for breakfast when you hear ur family approach you from the different room. "Mm! Smells, good, hon" your husband speaks up, catching your attention. Your little girl follows him shouting.
“Momma! Lookit!” she twirls, showing her matching braid with yours. You smile, mouth parting in surprise.
“Wow, love. Aren’t you a pretty little thing!” you flip the last pancake onto the stack, before dusting your hands on the apron you wore and kneeling down to your daughter. She giggles as you tickle her face with kisses.
“Look at us, matching and all,” you say, pinching her cheek. Osamu watches you both with a warm smile on his face. He wants so badly to capture this moment in photo but instead he soaks it in as he leans against the kitchen stool, watching you both. His favorite girls.
Daichi
daichi sat on the living room floor, shuffling through a mini tote full of hairpins, finding one to adorn your little kid’s hair when the girl brings a hairclip from your bedroom
“daddy! how about this one?” she holds up the claw clip. “Mommy’s wearing one…and I wanna wear it too…” she says, shyly.
the clip was humongous, too large for her tiny head but Daichi laughs, agreeing to put it on.
“well alright, darling. Here, let daddy fix.” daichi motions her to the carpeted floor in front of his crossed legs.
she turns around, sitting calmly as he rolls her dark brown hair that matched his own, into a ball before attaching the hairclip on it.
Daichi pats his daughter’s shoulders, placing a kiss on the top of her head. “all done!”
the girl jumps up, giving her grinning father a quick “thanks!” before rushing to her mother who’s washing the dishes
ꕥ you hear the familiar pitter patter of your little one’s steps. “mommy! mommy! look!” the child squeals, bringing your attention. When you notice her hair put up in a ridiculously large clip, you laugh walking over to her after drying your wet hands on a towel.
“whatcha wearin, silly?” you ask as she twirls, showing off the new hairstyle. “daddy made it. so my hair can be like yours!” You giggle, smoothing over the hair that frames her face. “Well, daddy did a good job. Cuz it looks great on you, my pretty,” you coo. At that moment, your husband steps in. He must’ve been standing on the side for a while.
“Thanks. ‘Daddy’ worked hard,” the man says, with a smug look on his face, emphasizing the nickname you used. You send him a knowing look.
“Daddy, you’re silly! All you did was clip it on!” the child laughs, making you both break down in laughter. She was a bright one.
Akaashi
“up, up we go!” Akaashi grunts, lifting his grown toddler onto the stool to fix her hair
he starts a ponytail, when the youngster stops him with her words
“no, daddy!” she asserts. “can you make it like mommy’s hair?”
he laughs. “oh, right, right. I’ll try my best, sweetheart.”
remembering the messy top bun you effortlessly whipped in the morning, he smiles rolling his daughter’s hair into the same style
he uses a mini scrunchie to hold it all together, making her hair appear larger than it was
he hums, impressed by his own work
the toddler looks into the mirror, amazed.
“woah! you did it, daddy!” she squeals.
“I sure did, huh?” he makes little adjustments to her bun before kissing it gently.
ꕥ just then, you poke your head in the kid’s room. “Hey, my loves, breakfast is ready.” Akaashi turns to your voice, moving closer to you to place a peck on your lips.
“Hey,” he greets, even though you were just talking a couple minutes ago. “sweetie, wanna tell mo—” before he could finish his sentence the girl starts leaping.
“Yes! mommy! mommy!” the excited kid jumps toward you and you fully enter the room, kneeling down to her level. You gasp watching the new hairstyle she rocks.
“Baby, what’s this?” you ask the girl, gently touching her hair-bun.
“Does it look nice?” she asks, wanting your approval. She really looks up to you.
“Of course it does, baby,” you look into the blue orbs your husband gave her, giving a soft smile before placing a tender kiss on her exposed forehead. “You’re so so pretty.” You turn to Akaashi who’s now leaning against the door with a toothy grin. “Just like Daddy.” The comment makes him smirk and chuckle.
“Thank you, but I think mommy deserves some credit too, dont ya think?” The man bends down to his girl who’s looking over at her dad with a smile.
“I think mommy AND daddy are pretty!” the small girl hops up a little to place a peck on her dad’s cheek, and he picks her up. “You got that right,” you say, smiling at your dear family as you all start walking toward the dining room to eat.
Iwaizumi
Iwaizumi was watching the television, when suddenly his little daughter hopped onto his lap.
“yes, baby-girl?” he asks seeing her tug on the hem of his pajama shirt.
“can you braid my hair like mommy’s?” she whispers into his ear.
his lips curvs into a smile.
“alright, turn around.” he tells her, even though he’s already lifting the little one’s body with little effort.
“no, no, no,” she whispers. “don’t wanna show mommy, yet!” he laughs at her request, watching as she side-eyes you whistling in the kitchen as you happily make toast and bacon for your family.
“Oh, so you wanna surprise her?” he chuckles, moving quietly to the next room with the child in his arm. reaching the bedroom, he finally starts on the braid, something he learned from you.
“annnnnd there we go,” he huffs, before placing a kiss on the crown of your daughter’s head.
she squeals in excitement, playing with the end of her braid. “thank youuuuu.”
“shall we go show mommy?” he asks the dancing child. she nods.
ꕥ you continue to whistle your favorite tune, placing the last bacon into the plate. At that moment, you wear your daughter call to you. “Mommy~” she sing-songed. You pause your whistling and turn around.
“Hey, baby,” you greet her as she jumped into your arms. Iwaizumi leaned against the kitchen counter watching you both with a smile plastered on his face. It took you a few seconds to realize her new hairdo. “Huh, i was wondering what you two were up to,” you snicker, looking back up at the smirking Iwaizumi.
“You like it?” he asks. Your eyes move back to your daughter’s.
“I love!! What do you think, baby?” Her smile—which is scarily similar to her father’s—shows that she is very satisfied with the result.
“It’s nice! Like yours!” You chuckle, giving her a ticklish kiss on her face. The girl giggles, making Iwaizumi chuckle to himself as he watches you two. “My turn! My turn!” the girl says as you place her back down.
“Oh?” you raise an eyebrow, moving your face closer to the girl’s. She leans up to give you a peck on the cheek.
“Thank you,” you smile, standing back up.
“Okay, daddy’s turn!” she claps. Your eyes crease in amusement turning back to the man who is now grabbing mugs to make some coffee. He stops in his tracks, looking at his daughter with a soft smile.
“Gladly,” he lifts the girl giving her a kiss and blowing a raspberry on her skin, making her giggle. He then faces you with a cunning smile. “Haji, what’re you-” you start but is interrupted by his lips on your cheek, and then blowing a raspberry like he did to your daughter seconds ago. Your daughter cheers on the side, laughing at his actions and you couldn’t help but break into laughter by the ticklish feeling. Moments like these make you grateful to have these two in your life.
Aran
Aran was just done folding some of the unfolded laundry from the previous day when his daughter entered the room with pleading eyes.
“Hey, baby. Need something?” he asks the girl who climbed into his lap.
she points to her space-buns. “I want to match with mama.”
he recalls your high-ponytail braid
“Alright, babygirl,” he chuckles, placing a kiss on her forehead. “You don’t mind if I untangle these?” he ruffles the top of her hair. his daughter shakes her head.
“I like mama’s hairstyle more.”
“Okay, daddy’s got it,” aran says, unraveling her bunned up hair and combining it all together.
he takes a comb, smoothing over loose strands.
“mkay,” he muffles with a hair-tie between his teeth as he finishes the braid, securing the ends. “all done, sweetie.”
Aran watches with his hands now on his lap, satisfied with his work—as always—he’s no stranger when it comes to fixing his daughter’s hair
“thank you,” the young girl thanks gleefully, remembering the manners that you and Aran taught her. She smooths a hand over the tightly-knitted braid, mesmerized by her father’s skills.
“now,” the proud father stands, picking up his giggling child. “Let’s go get some breakfast, shall we?”
ꕥ as they walked into the dining room, you almost bump into them, about to call your family for the prepared food. “Oops!” you laugh, placing a hand over your husband’s arm. “Sorry, my loves.” You place a kiss on his cheek before doing the same to your daughter’s in his arms. Aran whispers a small ‘hey’ as you do. “I was gonna call y—” For a quick second, you pause, noticing the change in your daughter’s hairstyle. Aran grins, seeing your surprised reaction. “Baby!” Your eyes flicker to your daughter’s shy smile. She giggles, hiding her face in her father’s shoulder, feeling shy from your attentive eyes
“See? Mama likes it,” Aran encourages the flustered girl, sending you a knowing look. You mouth an ‘aw’, reaching for her and she turns around once she feels your hands lifting her body. Your husband hands her over to you.
“My baby is so pretty,” you coo as she finally looks to you, giggling. “Look at us.” You flip the matching ponytail braid you wore, flaunting it.
“Mama’s pretty,” the girl stares at your hairstyle, amazed by the length—compared to hers. “When I grow up, I want to be pretty like mama!” You respond by kissing her cheek.
“Oh you’ll be real pretty, believe me. Look at you now, beautiful.” Your compliment makes her confidence grow.
Aran looks at the both of you, amazed by the resemblance. You two are practically twins. He remembers your baby photos and always thought that his daughter was a carbon copy of little you. Except, of course, she has some of his genes, having his eyes, his personality, and charm. She is his most prideful work. Both of yours.
Your husband brings you both in a hug, peppering kisses on your foreheads. Please, please, my heart cant take this, is what he thinks as he’s bringing his girls close in his arms.

bringing his daughter to work with akaashi!
content : dad!akaashi x fem!reader
word count : 0.4k
no y/n used, lowercase intended, imma sucker for dad!hq so please gimme some requests T^T
akaashi sighed as his three year old continued to mumble to him. he turned his chair to face the little girl—sat on the small loveseat in his office. while he understood his babysitter's excuse for not being able to work today, couldn’t they have told him before the day of?
he was lucky his office allowed kids—occasionally.
“yua.” akaashi’s voice sounded stern, but to anyone who really knew him you could hear the resisted temptation to spoil his little girl.
“yes, papa?” the girl replied.
“papa has to work on the computer and can’t play right now. i’m very sorry yuki couldn't watch you today, but you need to be good, okay?” yua sighed at her dad, she sank further into the couch she was on with a small ‘okay’ as akaashi smiled at her and turned back to his work.
5 minutes went by before there a small knock on akaashi’s office door. he sighed as he had finally got into the groove of writing.
“come in.” he called, before turning around to see who was at the door. he made eye contact with you as you peered in, a plate of cookies and some crayons in your hands.
“hi, akaashi. I noticed little akaashi was in today, so i brought some crayons and cookies.. if that's alright with you..!” you timidly offered, not wanting to upset akaashi or his daughter about the cookies. it took the curly-haired man a minute to respond, too lost in your angelic nature & kindness to his daughter. yua however beamed up at you – and the cookies – before turning to look at her father, taking note of the look in his eyes.
“o—oh yes that's fine! thank you so much, and.. i told you to call me keiji.” he softly smirked at your flustered face.
“right, sorry.. keiji.” you muttered as you placed the cookies next to yua, along with the crayons and some paper.
“if you need a break from her to focus, i'd be happy to watch her for a little! i love kids.” you said to the man, feeling his eyes bore into you. “i’ll be sure to let you know.”
you smiled at him, you said a little goodbye to yua as she thanked you for the cookies and left, shutting the door softly behind you. akaashi’s eyes stayed trained on the door for a few seconds before yua broke the silence.
“is she your girlfriend, papa?” the girl asked, mouth full of cookies as her father choked on nothing.
“n—no! no, she is not, yua.” akaashi’s reddened cheeks gave him away to his nosy daughter, a trait she unfortunately got from her uncle bo.
“do you love her?” akaashi stayed silent as he tried to calm himself down, so he could get back to work.
“i approve, jus’ sayin’.” yua muttered, before pulling out the crayons and paper.

hq boys when their kids are possessive of their mom pt.2
feat! oikawa tooru, akaashi keiji and matsukawa issei x f!reader
cw: the boys have big families except Keiji (2), oikawa (4), issei (4), mentions of pregnancy on keiji’s part, this has been on my drafts for so long im so sorry TT — not proofread
Tumblr media
OIKAWA if someone told oikawa and you that in a few years after marrying you would have almost the same number of kids as in a volleyball court you could have laughed so much to the point of crying. Nowadays, it’s not that funny, because just like that you ended up having four kids, more specifically one pair of twins and two boys who are a few years younger. it could have been alright if it wasn’t because all of the boys are the carbon copy of his father and also crybabies. and how to forget the clingy part, your kids loved their dad but when it came to you they would fight for your attention in the most dramatic ways.
like any Monday, you arrived from work, the house was completely on silence, no sign of your kids, you looked at the clock and there was still half an hour before they came back. placing your shoes at the entrance you felt a pair of arms around your waist, a faint smell of lavanda coming from your husband’s hair.
“don’t you have practice today?” you asked while hugging him back, an offended gasp came from his lips.
“(y/n)-chan you could have at least said that you were glad to see me instead of asking that” he said with a pout in his lips. You both stayed hugging each other like that until you heard the front door open followed by a mixture of gasp, screams and crying.
“PAPA STOP” shiro, the youngest one screamed “YOU C-CAN’T TOUCH MAMA” he said while crying and hugging your leg. Following Shiro’s example the oldest ones Shin and Ryu placed themselves between the two of you while toruu was left aside dumbfounded, before you could react you felt a tugging in you shirt and saw your third son Ruki looking at you with puppy eyes, even though he was the quiet one, he knew how to play his cards when it came to you.
meanwhile the boys were hugging you like there was no tomorrow oikawa was  sulking and trying to fit into the hug, and even started whining on how not even his kids would let him hug his beautiful wife and also their mother.
AKAASHI the day that Hana, your first daughter was born he felt the like the happiest man in the world, no one could compare the joy he felt when she was born, this same thing happened with your second and last daughter Miko. the two girls were, apart from you, his pride and joy. the girls were his carbon copy, the same blue eyes and his black hair and also his love and admiration for your persona. keiji, loved his girls, and the girls loved you so much, everything you did and you said they would follow it. Hana turned five while Miko just turned three not a while ago, and with that age it came the so called “possessive stage”, which consisted basically to cling into you at every opportunity they had and of course the poor keiji was totally forbidden to be near you on their presence.
it a was sunday afternoon in which you and keiji were on the sofa watching a movie while the girls were taking their after-lunch nap. since it was rare that the two of you would be left alone like this, keiji took advantage of it and wrapped his arms around your waist while snuggling in the crook of your neck, you. on the other hand started to caress his face and kissing the crown of his head. everything was fine until you felt something making its way between you and your husband and also a pair of little arms hugging your neck.
“it’s unfair that while Hana and I are sleeping papa breaks his promise” you heard a little groan coming from keiji’s lips, he makes some space for the girls which in some way he ends up at the edge of the sofa too close from falling to the carpet. “we maid dada promise that he wouldn’t touch you unless its an emergency, for example if a monster comes and wants to take mama away” Hana explained to you, looking at keiji you saw that even if his daughters were basically taking you away from him he would still have the same soft look in his eyes. he would do anything just to see them smile.
“well then, but the two of you should start to share because in a few month you will have another little brother or little sister too” you said, it was a sight to see how not only your husbands eyes but you daughters’ too looked at you shocked, and without thinking it twice the three of them jumped in your arms giggling and smiling at the sudden but happy news.
MATSUKAWA never once in his life issei thought that he would have a big family, sometimes he even felt bad for you because you went through too much pain while giving birth to the four children, that’s when he decided that when the youngest one Riko was born you two would stop having children. So at the end you family was composed by you, your oldest daughter Sumire who was eight, your second son Haru who was seven, your third son Kenji who was five and lastly Riko who turned three a few days ago.
Issei loved his kids with his whole heart, there wasn’t a time in which he couldn’t think about them or you, since the two of you worked he decided that it would be a good idea to plan the day so in that way the two of you wouldn’t feel too burned out, because at the end, taking care of four kids is not an easy task. So the times in which the two of you would be finally alone were pretty much welcomed, and issei loves his kids, but it was thanks to you that all of this was possible, and he didn’t hesitate to show it to you, well or at least he tried.
pulling you close to his chest he started trailing kissed from your forehead till he almost reached your lips, you were giggling until you heard a bunch of steps approaching to you. and unfortunately to issei your kids jumped to your frame making their father to change his sit to the armchair.
“dad don’t be mad is our turn to be with mama” Haru said while watching his father with a huge smirk “and also you have been many years with mama before we even were born so don’t put that face” followed your older daughter sumire who was laughing at his father face meanwhile the two younger ones were nodding at their sisters’ words.
you laughed at how much the four of them resembled their dad so much, and even if some of them looked more like you they always ended up inheriting issei’s attitude, which sometimes played against him. but for issei, even if his kids sometimes clowned him he cherished all the moments he had with them and sometimes even felt sad that one day they would be old enough to not need him anymore, but even so, he would love them anyways.

WHEN HIS BABY WANTS A BOYFRIEND. . .
Tumblr media
✫ ft. dad!akaashi, osamu, sakusa, and kuroo
✫ a/n: more dad!hq hcs bc they're all i think about !!! they're all girl dads here, and i imagine their daughters to be around 4-5 years old!
Tumblr media
✫ AKAASHI's eyes widen the second he hears his baby girl's sweet voice, her words not making it through to his head completely. keiji looks at her attentively, silence lining his lips. "why do you want a boyfriend, sweetheart?" his mind starts to race. he begins generating countless possibilities of what brought this up — perhaps he isn't giving her enough attention? he has been staying later at work... he starts thinking about how lonely she must feel at daycare as she waits for her dad to come pick her up. her little hands grab at his pant leg, pulling him out of his trance.
"i wanna wear a wedding dress!" she squeals — unlike her father, she's the most excitable ball of energy he's ever witnessed (but second to his best friend, of course). he's at a loss for words. the thought of his little angel wearing a wedding dress takes years off his life, not to be dramatic. his heart beats rapidly in his chest, and he crouches down to her level, pulling her close to his chest.
"i can get you a pretty dress, love. no need to worry about boyfriends, okay?" he consoles her, and she jumps up and down at the thought of wearing a pretty white dress. the next day, keiji picks her up from daycare with a large shopping bag. and when his baby peers over the top of the bag, she sees a big, fluffy tulle dress wrapped around a tiny crown. he kisses her round cheeks, telling her that she's always going to be his princess.
✫ OSAMU puts his spoon down gently before reaching over the table to wipe sauce off her chin. "a what?" he guffaws, not knowing if she's joking or not.
"a boyfriend!" she repeats, crossing her arms and looking up at her dad from her little seat at their dining table.
"why?"
"because," she shrugs. she goes back to eating as if she never said those heart-stopping words.
"because?" at this point, osamu's lost his appetite. there's no way his little girl who asks her papa to hold her up to the sink so she can wash her hands and sing her "clean-my-hands" song is asking for a boyfriend, of all things. she stands up on her seat and puts her hands on her hips (which is nothing new to osamu — she's always been this sassy).
"i wanna marry suna, so he has to be my boyfriend first." osamu brings his fingers to his temple, rubbing circles there before correcting her.
"uncle suna."
"suna! he said i could call him suna," she replies, playing with the animal-shaped vegetables on her plate.
a deep sigh escapes osamu's chest, and he's rubbing at his temple even faster than before. to make matters worse, she jumps off her seat and runs to her dad's room to grab his phone, hitting suna's contact on the way back to the table. watching it all go down, osamu frowns when suna greets his daughter with a "hello, miss miya~."
"hello, suna! papa thinks i'm not allowed to call you suna. can i?" suna's affirmative hum only baffles osamu more, and he can't help but smile at their odd friendship.
"alright, alright, no phones at the dinner table, missy," he grabs the phone from her little hands before hanging up on suna. she whines, but climbs back into her seat to shove a spoonful of rice into her chubby cheeks.
"see! he's gonna be my boyfriend," she chews her words. "and! i'm gonna make him pinky swear to marry me."
and with that, osamu picks up his plate and brings it to the sink, a stress vein popping along his forehead. that night, he holds her a little closer than usual, wanting her to stay this joyful forever.
✫ SAKUSA comes to a halt, stopping her in her tracks, too. his hand grasps hers just a little tighter. she looks up at him through her dark curls, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion (just like his).
"why do you want a boyfriend, angel?" his thumb runs along the back of her hand to calm himself down, really.
"my friends have boyfriends! i want one too!" her fingers tug at his tightly, urging him to keep walking towards the playground.
"oh, yeah? well, they're too young for boyfriends," kiyoomi reasons with his daughter.
"but i'm 5! that's older than before," she stomps lightly. and if it wasn't for this conversation, he'd pinch her cheeks and tell her to take a deep breath before letting her frustrations take over, but he's somewhat entertained at her thoughts. she just wants to be like her friends, and that's understandable, but the thought of her getting close to a boy makes him take a few deep breaths.
"wait 10 more years, and i'll consider letting you talk to boys," they continue to walk, and kiyoomi doesn't miss the way she rolls her eyes like he does when he's stuck in traffic. and when she starts to plead, shaking his large hand in both of her own, kiyoomi decides that a trip to the toy store can make up for his refusal. he picks out a stuffed animal for her to fill the spot she desires so badly. that night, when she cuddles her new toy instead of him, kiyoomi considers extending his condition.
✫ KUROO's laugh fills the room at her question. ("dad, can i have a boyfriend?" she had asked him with her best puppy-dog eyes after she watched an ad for a new drama on TV).
"sure you can," he pulls her onto his lap as he relaxes on the couch before bed. "but may you? no." tetsuro smiles at his own response, proud of how he handled her silly little question.
"please?" she asks, clasping her hands together and giving him sadder, rounder, cuter puppy-dog eyes.
"oh, don't do that," he tries to avoid eye contact, but she ends up laughing that cute giggle that reminds him of her first smile (he heard it one night he was trying to help her sleep, cooing at her and tracing her cheek with his finger. oh, he loves that sound so much.) "what kind of boyfriend do you want? i'll try to look for one next time i go out," he jokes, patting down her messy hair.
she beams at his words, getting up on her feet with excitement. "i want mr. spark from my TV show!"
"isn't he the bad guy?" tetsuro raises his eyebrow and holds back a toothy smile.
"but he's nice to the girl," she thinks out-loud, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
"baby, that's his boss. he has to be nice to her or he'll be unemployed."
"what does that mean?" she looks at her dad with wide eyes, as if he's telling her all the hidden secrets of her favorite show.
"if he doesn't listen to her, he won't get money to buy sweets," tetsuro whispers in her ear like he's passing along confidential information. she gasps — her hands cover her mouth and she thinks for a minute.
"then i need a boyfriend who is nice to me... and buys me sweets," she concludes. tetsuro pulls her in for a hug, and she doesn't fight back like she usually does with his bear hugs.
"you're a smart girl," he whispers into her head, hoping she'll let him buy her all the sweets in the world for just a little longer.

New to this (Akaashi version)
○●○●○●○●●○●○●○●○●●○●○●○●○●
Tumblr media
Premise: Akaashi Keiji falls in love with a single mother and realizes she's all he wants for his life.
Word Count: 4528
Notes: Ok, so this story will be part of a series. It will be laid out like an otome game, meaning there will be three different routes for the same premise, different endings. The first story being with Akaashi.
Also I'm a bit rusty, so apologies in advance.
Chapter 1: Brighter days ahead
Spring season comes around once more, your favorite time of the year. Sunny days with unexpected rain, beautiful flowers everywhere. A light breeze heaves in through the kitchen window, making you shiver slightly at the unexpected cold and bringing back thoughts you normally throw to the back of your mind on most days.
Being a single mother isn’t exactly easy. Specially at such a young age. Being in your early twenties, you have been able to raise a very smart and gentle hearted toddler. You glance around the tight space, smiling as you see remains of the good life you have had with your son. A jar full of seashells that the two of you picked up on your last trip to the beach. Family portraits drawn by him when he was just three. Polaroid pictures littering the wall above your small tv, all smiles and blue skies, and of course, not to forget that blurry one of a beetle he found at the park the other day. Simple details, yet full of love.
Seeing all this makes you think how it all happened so fast, you can’t believe he’s already five, and thinking about the early stages of it all is still a thorn stuck in your heart. You can still remember being madly in love with the child’s father, waking up to his handsome face close to yours every morning, those tender kisses that you can still feel on your skin and even if time keeps moving forward, they still hunt you on your sleep.
You love your son, he is the best thing that ever happened to you, and you would do anything to see him smile. His eyes are beautiful, honey colored, soft, gentle, with long lashes and they crinkle when he smiles, always scrunching up his nose like a little rabbit, he is just adorable. You decided to let his hair grow a bit longer this year, he was starting to look just like a small version of his father and that was just too much for you, you couldn’t take it, not yet at least. Suppressing another shiver, you turn to your shared closet looking for warmth and silently wishing he never takes a liking to bleached hair.
In the same closet hung the uniform your son was to wear this morning, “Seiji” read on the bright yellow flower tag pinned near the sleeve. His first day of kindergarten, it feels like such an accomplishment for you to be standing here, proud of your son reaching another milestone, one he has been looking forward to for years now. It was difficult getting all the way here by yourself with no one’s help, but this felt like such a reward, he is growing up to be a wonderful little person and you were the only responsible for that. Always knowing you wanted kids one day, you assumed you’d be a good mother, but reality hits hard when you had to do everything by yourself.
The melancholic morning goes on as you push around your eggs with the fork, absentmindedly staring at your baby boy with a sour smile painting on your face as you think of the past. Your parents didn’t want to hear anything from you when you told them you were pregnant and haven’t seen them ever since. They didn’t even know where you lived nor met your son. Your boyfriend left you claiming he was definitely not the father of the kid, and that fact still bewilders you, how can he not be though? He was the only one for you and you thought he knew that. More images of old dates with Atsumu come flooding in, when he confessed to you on the rooftop of the school in your third year. Your first kiss. The first time he told you he loved you. How he used to hold your face in both of his hands and just stare into your eyes for hours. The sound of his shallow breathing when he was asleep. Tears threatened to come out and that’s your cue to get up and clean the table, urging your son to get up and dressed for school.
Turning to the sink, you discard your untouched breakfast and look through the window while rinsing the dishes with soapy water. More memories come, painful ones. “(Y/N), how can you cheat on me like this? Pregnant? Are you fucking kidding me?” said Atsumu getting up from the kitchen table of your shared studio. The cup he was drinking soda from shattering on the floor, making you jump from your seat. You were a nervous wreck, so confused. But most of all, hurt, from the way he was behaving. “I- I don’t know how this happened, but it did. Maybe that one night when I told you I felt a leaking…maybe the condom teared a bit?” you were now walking in circles, chewing at your thumb, “There’s no other explanation for this.”
“Oh, there is, (Y/N). Can’t believe you would cheat on me…” he scoffed, looking at you like if you were a miserable piece of garbage needing to be stepped on and thrown away. He then grabbed his jacket and left, slamming the door shut and causing a small planter to fall from its hanger on the wall. That was the last time you saw him. You waited for him to come back, he had to, all his stuff was still there. But you waited days, weeks even. You weren’t eating properly, barely sleeping thinking he would be back any second and you couldn’t miss it, but he didn’t come back.
Feeling dead in your own skin, you reached for your family thinking your mother would know what to do, having a baby was a lot of work and you didn’t even know where to start. But the first thing she asked was if you were actually having it. Hearing your mother say that to you was even worse than seeing Atsumu leave, of course you would have the baby, it was yours and a product of love, regardless of how things ended he was still the man you loved, your first and only boyfriend and a piece of him was inside of your now growing belly. Disappointed in your reply they gave you the cold shoulder, cutting off the money they would send you every month. “If you want to have that creature then work for it, a daughter of mine wouldn’t get pregnant so carelessly. Don’t ever call us again, (Y/N)”. You still remember how hearing that felt, you were alone, completely on your own. But that wouldn’t stop you.
You sit on the dining table once more, a simple looking Ikea table with just two chairs. Seiji has stopped needing his highchair a while back but still sits next to you and you can’t bring yourself to get rid of it. Gliding your fingers over the soft wood triggers more unwanted memories. When the child was born and you saw him for the first time, you knew you had to try and contact Atsumu again, it was impossible for him to think this was someone else’s baby. He looked just like him. Those beautiful honey colored eyes and tiny puff of dark hair on the crown on his tiny head. Even his sleeping face was like seeing him napping on a summer afternoon. But your attempts failed, most likely getting another number tired of seeing your missed calls and messages. Unnerved, you tried dialing his twin brother, Osamu was always so loving and supportive, he would certainly get you to him, but the same thing happened. How can they just disappear like that? Was it your fault? You were just so tired of this whole thing. So, once you got permission to leave the hospital, you took your son and moved to Tokyo. A bigger city full of new people, new beginnings.
You had to quit college, it was impossible to pay for rent, bills, food and college with a couple of part-time jobs. Besides you couldn’t get any job that would involve you leaving the house, otherwise you would need to pay for a babysitter and that was out of the question. It was rough, and probably the reason why you feel like you can’t throw away the chair you keep on staring at, you worked so hard to get everything you have now and even if it isn’t much, is home. Home for you and for your son, the true love of your life.
And today was his first day of school.
“Seiji, come on we gotta leave soon or you will be late on your first day!” you half yelled, sipping on the last remaining coffee in your mug, now cold and murky due to all your overthinking. And once again you think how beautiful spring morning it is, today will be a day you will always remember and you’re glad the weather is on your side. “Mama…” he looked at you with a not so amused expression on his face, making you look down at him and back from your little breakdown. He looks just like his father but reminds you more of his uncle most of the times and for this you were grateful, “You always tell me I can’t go out of the house without brushing my teeth properly. I need 5 more minutes.” he declared, climbing on his stool to reach the sink.
Your heart swell just a little with pride and suddenly that tightness in your chest just breaks, you have Seiji, you always had, even when all those hurtful memories were your day-to-day reality, he was already inside of you. And you realize, after all this time, that you’ve never been alone.

Once the toddler finished getting ready, you two left the house in a hurry and you could see how nervous he was. Your son was fiddling with the straps of his backpack while he walked next to you in complete silence, something rare for him. You wanted to reassure him, but this was a new experience for him, there weren’t many kids his age around the neighborhood so being surrounded by kids was something he was both excited and terrified about. So, you settled for taking his smaller hand in yours and pointed all the little things you could find on your way to the school. “Seiji look!” you pointed to the only cloud lurking around a vast bright blue sky. “Doesn’t it look like the bunny we saw yesterday at the petting zoo?” you grinned at him happily, causing your son to grimace a bit, “Heeh? You think so, Mama? I think it looks more like a koala chewing on some leaves” you tilted your head to the side analyzing said cloud. If you were being honest, the cloud was just a blob that looked like nothing to you, you were just trying to distract him from his anxiousness. “Leaves? Hmmm…more like poop. Don’t you remember that show we watched the other day? They said koalas eat their own poop”. Your son looked at you puckering his lips out, simulating he was going to be sick, causing you both to laugh loudly at each other, the cloud long forgotten same as his worries.
And without noticing you were now staring at the gates of his school. Reassuring your son, you let him go inside the class with his teacher, “I’ll be back at 3, be a good boy!” you shouted after them and he turned his head to look at you, “This is it…” you thought, he was going to cry and run back to you, you’ve seen plenty of that in tv and you honestly don’t remember how your first day of school was but you were fearing this would happen to Seiji, but instead, he gave you his wide crinkled eyed smile, the one you love so much it hurts you every time. He would be just fine and so would you, you have each other after all.
Today was a complex day for you, full of mixed feelings and bringing out all your insecurities. Paying for his school tuition and all the things he needed for school was a difficult task with your current income, so you thought of looking for another part time, just one more, you can certainly have three now that he is in school. “I wish I could just get an actual full-time job with a good pay rate instead of needing three part-times…” you sighed, looking through the job listings in your phone. Everything was dreadful, long hours, low salaries, and on top of that you had to pick Seiji up at 3, there was no way around it. You found a bench near the closest convenience store and sat there after getting a bottle of tea from the vending machine next to it. You found a delivery job, for a flower shop, it wasn’t great, but it would definitely help. So, you called the phone number listed on the contact section and you actually got it without much hassle. The shop belonged to an old lady that had hurt her knee and wasn’t able to take the flowers on her own with her scooter. Since you knew how to drive one around and you mentioned your son’s school was very close from the shop, she just couldn’t say no to you.
───  ⋅ ∙ ∘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ∘ ⋅ ⋅  ───
In a blink of an eye a month had gone by, you were exhausted but your son seemed happy. Today you made pizza toast for dinner since he has been begging non-stop for pizza and you were currently in no position to spend money on that, so that’s all you could give him right now, and he took it. You loved hearing him tell you all about his day in school. And he was now telling you about how he met this one girl who’s in the daycare section of the school, a year under him. “So, we read together during lunch break. Well, I read to her, she still doesn’t know all the words” he says between bites of toast, happily pulling it away from his face to look at the stringy cheese.
“That’s great, love. I’m sure she is very happy to have such a reliable upperclassman.” you chuckle quietly when you notice how he puffed his chest out at your words. He is such a sucker for this sort of compliments. He just can’t wait to be an adult, and you can just pray the time doesn’t go by that fast. You bring your hand to his face, swiping sauce off his cheek.
Seiji nods, beaming at you “She even shared her apple slices with me today! But they didn’t have bunny shapes, like the ones you do for me.” he pouts a little before shoving more toast in his mouth. You normally cut his apple this way as you know he loves animals, little things like this are his favorite and you could sense his sadness towards his friend not being able to enjoy them like he does. Such a gentle hearted boy.  “Well, maybe her mom is busy or doesn’t know how to make bunnies. If you want, I can cut bunnies for you two another day, I bet she would like that!” you try to cheer him up, his eyes lighting up at the idea and he hugs your arm “Thank you, Mama. I would like that very much.”
───  ⋅ ∙ ∘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ∘ ⋅ ⋅  ───
The next day you received a very unexpected call that left you in quite a shock. “He did what???” you were taking your break sitting on the stairs of the back room. You couldn’t process what she was saying and asked for confirmation, needing the teacher to repeat what you just heard. “He pushed his classmate to the ground and his mother is making a fuss at the principal’s office. Can you please come?” you could hear the annoyance in her voice and loud screams on the background which you could just assume was the mother of the child yelling at the school staff. “I’ll be right there” you informed the teacher and explained everything to your boss. She told you to take the day off, she wanted to close early anyways to watch a parade in the tv.
You ran as fast as you could. It was about a 10-minute walk from the flower shop to his school, but you made it there in 3. Panting hard, you opened the door to the principal’s office, trying to catch your breath. And you noticed two adults and three children sitting on multicolored chairs, all looking at your unannounced entrance.
Your eyes darted immediately to your son who was jutting out a cut and bloody lip. You gasped at the sight and ran to his side, “Seiji, oh my god. What happened to your face? Are you ok, my love?” he nodded and buried his face on your thigh. Running your fingers through his silky hair you scanned the room. A very large woman with an expensive looking outfit, diamond rings, a designer bag with a tiny poodle inside of it and a large brim hat, huffing like a buffalo next to a just as large kid, with a band-aid on covering his elbow and a deep scowl on his chubby face. He couldn’t possibly be the same age as your son, “he’s gotta be at least 7…” you thought while moving your eyes to the chairs closer to you. There seated a tall handsome man, deep blue eyes, messy black hair, with what you assume is his daughter. A lovely little girl, who looked just like him big blue doe eyes, long braided black hair adorned with two hearts held by bobby pins. She was still crying, clearly scared by the whole situation, and you could see now what was going on.
You decided to sit next to the man, not looking at him but towards the little girl, “Are you Kimi by any chance?” you asked, smiling down at her, who scrunched up her nose to hold in her snot and nodded to you. “It’s nice to finally meet you, I’m Seiji’s mom. I heard you’ve been reading a book about butterflies.” you say trying to distract her and get her to stop crying; the principal clears his throat, snapping you out of the moment before the man had time to even introduce himself or thank you for helping.
“I summoned you all here to discuss the incident that transpired this afternoon” the principal says fixing his glasses up his nose without looking at any of you, whatever he was reading on his phone was clearly more interesting for him that this whole situation, “(Y/L)-kun pushed, Sakamoto-kun onto the ground, causing a scrap on his elbow. His mother here,” he signalizes grandly over to the fancy looking woman with an outstretched arm, posing dramatically “is looking for monetary compensation”.
That caused you and the man next to you to scuff loudly at the same time. “Seiji, did you push Sakamoto-kun?” you looked down at your son, rubbing soothing circles on his back to encourage him to tell the whole story. You were 100% sure that he did, otherwise he wouldn’t be sulking on your leg, but you know your son, he isn’t someone who would just hurt someone, he even avoids stepping on ants when you two play at the park.
He nodded and let go of your leg, stretching up to his full size and looking at you and Kimi’s father with a serious glint in his eyes, like he was about to give a speech and you knew what was coming. This would be interesting. “Remember when I told you this morning, I was going to finish reading the book we started yesterday?” you hummed in acknowledgement and your son continued, “Well, here I was, walking through the courtyard” his expression caused the man behind to grin slightly, very much intrigued by the toddler’s display, “I was looking for Kimi, who said would look for the book, and THEN” he changes his tone, making it more dramatic, causing everyone to be immersed in his story. This kid was something else. “I see Sakamoto-kun pulling at Kimi’s hair! I had to do something, mama. So, I ran to them and asked him nicely to please stand back from my friend as he was clearly hurting her. But what did he do?” he brings both of his hands to his face, pulling his cheeks down in despair and continues, “Instead of letting her go, he punched me on the face” both, Kimi’s father and you gasped at this bit of information and Seiji just nodded as if confirming how grave the situation was. “I weighed all my options and all I could do was push him to get him away from her. And that somehow got us all in trouble. I know violence is a bad thing, you say that to me all the time mama, but detective Connan once said” he air-quoted, “It’s not violence if you get struck first, its self-defense.” Satisfied with his recount of the facts, he sits on the chair next to his mother and crosses his tiny legs, closing his eyes and waiting for the adults to get to an agreement, he’s done his part.
The man next to you heaved an airy laugh, it was refreshing, you’ve only seen him scowl since you got there, “Seiji-kun, are you really just five?” he questions the child with an amused grin on his face and to this, your son only nods, opening one of his eyes in acknowledgement.
He is definitely something else.
“So let me get this straight” says the man beside you, now sitting up straight and glaring at the principal and the obnoxious kid across the room, “My daughter was being bullied by an older kid and this very brave young man stepped in to save the day. Why is this woman here requesting monetary compensation for a scrap? We both could sue the school for not being able to protect your students from bullying. Right…?” he looked at you, realizing he didn’t even know your name yet, “(Y/N)” you said with a small smile, looking straight into his eyes and ignoring the rest of eyes now all on you. “And yes, of course, I’m with you all the way. Kimi is 4, she shouldn’t even be allowed near older kids, is dangerous and totally the school’s fault.” Seiji let out a loud gasp, getting both of your attention and making you chuckle “Unless that older kid is my son, clearly. As he is willing to protect her no matter what” you said, glaring at the bald man behind the desk while patting your son’s knee, signaling not to worry about not being able to hang out with his friend.
But this was Kimi’s breaking point, she started bawling her eyes out again “MAMA!!!” she suddenly screamed and ran straight into your arms. This confused you, to say the least, but held her close, nonetheless. “I bet you were so scared” you said to her gently, rubbing her back while stealing a glance to her father who shut you an apologetic glance. “Let’s get your hair all pretty again, come here.” you lifted her small body over, getting her to straddle your lap. Pulling a wet tissue out of your purse, you cleaned her tear-stained face, and combed her hair, re-doing the braid that had been pulled by the violent five-year-old. “There! Now you look just like a doll once more.” smiling down at her, she returned your smile, proudly saying “Papa always makes sure I look cute, so he made my hair like this for me today!” a thought came right up to you “Papa, huh? So, this is why her apple slices aren’t bunnies. Her mother is probably very absent, that’s why she’s a bit confused right now, hearing I’m Seiji’s mom mixed with all the stress of the day probably triggered something inside of her.” in thought you beamed at her without making any unwanted comment and went to put her back down but, clinging to you for dear life she refused to leave your side and so, you let her be.
The man assessed the whole situation, how you looked at his daughter with such an adoring expression, like she was your own. He was also very impressed on how you managed to calm her within seconds, it always takes him at least an hour to get her to stop crying. And he suddenly was very aware of how beautiful your smile was and became grateful that you were there, otherwise he would probably have to take Kimi out of that school as he would of punch a hole in that ridiculous looking principal.
“So” he cleared his throat, “I expect Sakamoto-Kun to at least get a disciplinary action for his behavior if you don’t want us to sue the school or call the press. Now if you excuse us,” he held a hand behind your back, motioning for you to get up with both toddlers hanging from you, “We have better places to be at right now.” Following his lead, you excused yourself and held your son’s hand, walking out of the building.
Once you had picked up their backpacks, you headed over to the front of the school where the man was waiting for you.
“Akaashi Keiji” he said, looking at you like if it was the first time. You saw his eyes sparkle a little, the side of his lips curling up slightly. “Kimi’s father as you might have noticed.” he starts walking and you trail behind him with a nod. “I was thinking…what do you guys think of getting some pizza?” he looked back at both toddlers with a wicked smirk on his face. Your son letting out a screech now clinging to Akaashi’s leg, probably his favorite person in the world right now. “I think that’s a yes” you said, chuckling at your son’s excitement. “He’s been thinking about pizza for weeks now” you cradle the sleepy toddler in your arms and ask her softly if she would like to go to get some pizza with Seiji, this waking her up instantly and making her bounce excitedly, clinging to your neck.
“It’s a date then.” Akaashi mumbles quietly only for you to hear and begins walking towards the Pizza shop. You noticed the scowl on his face from before was no longer there, making you smile. Wait, what? “It’s a date?” you repeated after him, jogging a bit to catch up with the gang, now walking next to each other. You haven’t had a date in over 5 years, you start derailing with silly thoughts about your hair and make-up choices for today.
Anybody looking at you right now would only see the perfect family out for some fun, even if that was very much far from reality.

I’m nervous because this is my first time doing a request, but I love your haikyuu dad series and I would like to ask if could you please write some angst about fem!reader having a miscarriage and then breaking up with character because the were in pain for their lost and relationship wasn’t working after that (doesn’t matter who was the one that decides to break up) and then two years later after not seeing each other she finds out that he’s a single father/ or married and then ending up together or as friends (in the case of him being a single father) I was thinking that for character it could be Atsumu or Osamu, Sakusa and Akashi (but you can pick any other characters that you feel more comfortable with if you wish)
I hope you can read this and like the idea, if you don’t feel comfortable writing this I understand so don’t feel pressured 🫶🏻 (Btw, I love absolutely everything you write and apologize if something it’s wrong with my grammar, English it’s not my first language and I’m still trying to learn without using a translator)

Tw- miscarriage, crying, grief, toxic coping mechanisms, single parents, one night stands, breakdowns, jealousy(over someone being able to have children/provide boys with a family, infertility, cursing, absent mother, be very cautious if you’re sensitive to anything affiliated with miscarriages maybe even infant loss, idk let me know if I missed anything it’s very likely that I did but I reread to try and catch everything!!
I think I’m sick rn so I may have accidentally made them short!! Im sorry for that!!
Tumblr media
Atsumu
When you’d met Atsumu it felt perfect, unfortunately a year later that came crashing back down onto the two of you.
You struggled with getting pregnant and it hurt, why couldn’t you do this? Than finally you’d been able to concive after why felt like forever a big wave of relief rushed over the two of you.
Unfortunately that happiness didn’t last for long, you’d lost the baby. Neither of you took it well, you had already planned out a nursery and ordered a few baby things and every time you saw them you wanted to break down, it wasn’t fair. What did you do wrong? You’d tried for so long, done nothing wrong, yet you still weren’t able to have your little baby, it wasn’t fair.
At some point it got to where you two didn’t really talk anymore, you were both grieving and it led to your breakup.
You felt it was best but looking back almost a year later it wasn’t. You see Atsumu sat in a cafe two tiny car seats placed in little high chairs in front of him.
He looks like he’d fit perfectly in a family, it looks like where he belongs and you weren’t able to provide that.
You see Atsumu’s eyes dart around the building, when he spots you it’s obvious, he gives you a soft smile, one after a year of healing you’re able to reciprocate it still deep down hurts, it’s a feeling you never want to experience again.
Before you know it you’re sat beside Atsumu listening to how he rattles on about his twins. You look over at the two little babies to see two sleeping babies, a boy and a girl, they look like they’re his whole world, and you wish you could have provided that.
“I assume you’re happy with your wife now” you’ve got a soft smile contradictory to the words that fall from your lips.
His brows furrow, “…y/n they’re from a one night stand…” you don’t know if that makes you feel better or worse.
Had he really not moved on?
He hadn’t Atsumu felt like shit after that one night stand, it felt wrong and he wanted to undo it immediately but now that he has his precious babies he wouldn’t un do it for the world and he’s just hoping he can get you back as well.
Tumblr media
Osamu
It hurt, it felt like everything was resulting in an argument lately. Both of you were easily agitated after you’d lost the baby. It hurt both of you and you couldn’t grasp why it was happening and it just felt like you were running in circles constantly chasing the word why but always being just steps behind from understanding.
It resulted in a breakup. It hurt, you won’t lie.
You aren’t sure what compelled you to go into Onigiri miya, maybe it was the fact that you wanted to feel comforted after so much time maybe it was the fact that you weren’t really paying attention as you walked here, maybe it was everything built up onto each other.
When you walk into Onigiri miya you almost forget it’s been so long, long enough for him to have a set of three year old little girls sat on the cabinet, they look just like him when he was little and you can’t help but want to live on them.
You see Osamu’s bright smile when he looks at you face a bit, you look rough. You’re a wreck without him, you practically live in the food provided by your office cause you never really learned how to cook and you’ve got eye bags because Osamu was always the one to stop you from overworking yourself but now you throw yourself into work to hide from the grief of not only loosing your baby but your soulmate, maybe that’s why you’re so eager to go on that date Osamu offers after you learn he’s a single dad.
Tumblr media
Sakusa
Neither of you handled it very well. It was an all around negative experience there was no growth from it, it left you as completely different people and it never really got easier you just got used to it and learned how to function while having all these emotions but the pain never lessened.
And eventually you both decided it was best to take a break. Of course when it resumed your ex-fiancé had the most precious little girl by his side.
She was only a month old, if that and she’d been the product of a one night stand.
Sakusa had always wanted a family, you couldn’t help but feel jealous of the woman who was able to provide him with one. She was able to have the most precious little girl and she didn’t even want her. Of course when Sakusa brought up the fact that he was now a single father, he feared that the love of his life would leave him now because of his daughter, but of course if that would have been your decision he wasn’t going to chose you over his baby.
And you don’t regret your decision to stay with Sakusa anyways, not when your first daughter sits in between you and your husband, you smile softly as your husband eases your baby into her arms she’s got the most precious look of wonder as she stares down at the little girl.
Tumblr media
Akaashi
When it happened he felt the way your relationship began to be ripped apart. He initiated the breakup asking for a break to grieve.
That’s what happened, you both decided for the best to take a break. And a few career changes and years later you’ve met again.
You periodically kept in touch just about the holidays no major things.
You worked at a little daycare now so when you see him drop off the cutest little boy who nervously holds onto Akaashi’s hand you can’t help but let out a little awe.
It was what you wanted to have with him, what you prayed for every night that wouldn’t come no matter how hard you tried.
The sparks where still present with Keiji, almost everyday he’d come in to pick up his little boy and he’d make you giggle softly like you did in highschool and before you know it, he was asking if you’d give your relationship a go again.

Let me know if you guys want to see anything else because I really love requests!!
