Why is Bruno considered the mom of Team Bucci?

I mean, I get it, he’s nurturing and parental and all around someone who takes care of the people around him but none of those are specifically motherly traits.

Why not Papa Bruno instead of Mama Bruno? Is it because of the term “mother hen”? Or “momma bear”? Or maybe it’s because “men can’t be caring like mothers are”? Why does it have to be Mama Bruno and Dadbacchio, huh?? Why must the heterosexual “standard” be upheld, huh??? Why is his caring nature indirectly labeled as feminine, HUH???

Anyway don’t take that seriously, just imagine a Ghiaccio rant. That was just to establish that I think gender norms are dumb before:

IF we argue it’s not that deep then I have one question: WHY is Prosciutto considered mom of La Squadra??? No, seriously, we don’t get a lot of screentime of La Squadra but from what we see, RISOTTO is the one that takes care of the group like mother hen caring for her chicks. He was the first one to notice and feel concerned when Gelato and Sorbet didn’t show up! The way he stayed at their funeral the longest and his desire to avenge his fallen teammates shows that he cares for them all very deeply!! Prosciutto is caring too in the tough love sorta way but that’s only to Pesci! And Pesci calls him Big Bro! You can’t tell me that Risotto doesn’t give off the vibes of a stern matriarch of the family who will fuck up anyone who messes with their kids!!

Family Matters Preview

Abbacchio cleared his throat. He eyed the kid, judging whether he should tell him now, and then figured that he was probably waiting for this news. “Look, I just got a call. Ferro Giovanna is dead. Snakebite, they said.”

Giorno let out a shuddering breath, curling into himself as he covered his face, shaking for a second before he looked up at Abbacchio again. “H-he’s dead? Actually dead?”

“Yeah,” Abbacchio said softly. “If you want I can go to the morgue for you and make sure. I wouldn’t mind stabbing him a few more times myself.”

Giorno let out a sound that was half laugh half sob, shaking like a leaf.

Abbacchio sank onto the side of the bed, carefully pulling him into his arms, tucking Giorno’s head under his chin as the boy leaned into him.

“It’s okay, kid. He’s not going to hurt you ever again.”

dadbachio with a baby girl!! omg having a little lady that dresses him up and loves his hair -💛

Abbacchio would be at his most powerful with a daughter at his side. He is all down for doing tea parties and dress up. He’ll wear whatever random article of clothing she points to in his closet and tells him to wear. He does his best to sit at the little toy table with the stuffed animals she’s set up as guests, but he’s...pretty big lol. He’s broken a chair once or twice. And a few teacups. 

Dadbacchio is really fond of doing his nails with his daughter! He will paint her nails and she will do his. They pick each other’s colors most of the time. Abbacchio picks a more modest color, like rose pink, while his daughter usually chooses exotic colors. He’s shown up to do mafia work with the following nail colors: electric blue, lime green, dark brown, and grey, to name a few. 

His daughter really likes to play with his hair, too. Braiding it is her favorite. Sometimes he’ll attempt to do one large braid, other times she’ll weave several braids. Abbacchio will wear the hairstyle around to make her happy. His s/o always compliments his hair a bit more than they normally would just to see her little smile and bright eyes.🥺

Bri: *in a beautiful gown followed by cute chibis of the team* *smiles and sits down next to him*

Giorno and Bri: *snuggle next to each other as the rest of the team either eat the desserts or play with the cute animals*

- Outside -

Giorno: *sleeping, snuggles up to Abbacchio* ... *smiles, giggling softly in his sleep*

Midnight: *kitty smile* Meow!

Awwwwwwwww that's so adorable, I've been imagining how cute this just be for a while now, dadbacchio is always a winner

Abbacchio: *scowls* oh yeah, you're just as bad as the rest of them.

Bruno: really, you're having a conversation with the cat ?

Abbachio: it has the same dopey face that Bri makes when she sees this brat in this condition

Bruno: *laughs* it is sweet though, he feels safe enough to sleep around you

Abbachio: that's a mistake on his part
