#alternatively titled - when your papas have the audacity to cuddle without you #kazurei #buddy daddies #i like to think they didnt really do cuddles much except when rei has a rough night and kazukis warmth and safety is the only thing that #can let him get rid of the anxiety and nightmares #he wouldnt ask for it #it would be kazuki dragging him to bed at first #rei reluctantly but in his weakened will the times hes slept together with miri and kazuki has been the times hes somehow always #managed to go out like a light as soon as his head hits the pillow #even he himself doesnt understand and he doesnt attempt to and he doesnt realise #that its safety and warmth and protection and peace #and thats the only reason he would let himself be dragged to bed #but #eventually when you have had the taste of something so good in the place of chilling nightmares and restless darkness that feels no less #safer than the light #your heart becomes indulgent #and rei will gently and wordlessly ask for an invite to the warmth again #its fulfilling and blissful when the three of them are together #but with just kazukis body enveloping him against the night its a different kind of comfort. even in his sleep he would clutch onto it #thats a tangent right there huh.....anyway. miri would be absolutely betrayed in the morning when she finds them snuggled up #she gets her cuddle time with her papas too then #one big pile of a warm and happy family #yes this is pre relationship yes they would do that yes it is possible #if you got this far thanks i guess jajdjfjs ill hopefully colour this soon but i dont know really so im putting it up here #my art

B - Beg: How would they try to win their s/o back?

Regardless of the circumstances behind the breakup, there is one thing that's for certain: Bi Han will have become awfully distant with his ex partner. His attempts at getting you back will thus feel as alarming as running hot water on cold, frostbitten hands.

His initial gestures are small but significant: sheepishly offering your favourite tea on cold mornings, muttering his hellos when he often used to pass you in complete silence, and catching him staring as you train before turning away and frowning.

He's not like this because he's shy, but because not only is he too proud to outwardly admit that he misses you, he's also full aware that he might not be able to express this in words. Bi Han hopes that these brief moments of gentleness can speak for themselves -- that he wants so badly to be vulnerable with you again.

V - Violence: How do they react when their s/o is threatened/put in danger?

Bi Han's no stranger to this: someone threatens one of his clan members and he doesn't bat an eye, knowing damn well he's trained his people well enough to fend for themselves. But to threaten you? The grandmaster becomes stubborn and damn near unreasonable, assigning practically half his clan to behead whoever put you in danger.

Bi Han is so on edge his callous behaviour starts to rub off on his own subordinates, too. And this demeanour doesn't return back to normal even when you're in his arms safe and sound -- Bi Han must have your aggressor's blood on his hands before he can rest easy.

"Who did this to you?!" snarled the grandmaster, holding your chin and tilting your face to his gaze, his touch surprisingly gentle despite the fury in his eyes. "If I have to tear the realms apart to find them, I will."

simple s2 teen refs + height headcanons!! (this started as an exploration of shape language but i got carried away)

explanation of some design choices under the cut

linc’s colour palette is a mix of white and gold for paladin, plus a colour from each of his friends (black from scary, green from taylor, cyan from normal)

despite most other oaks having green as their colour, normal wears more blue because its the school colour. only his shoes are green

both taylor and scary have a gold pin cuz of their connection to linc, and scary has blue eyeshadow for normal

taylor is shortest because of afab asian genes and also the heavy ass “go bag” he carries around (not pictured because i may have forgotten to draw it)

also, i don’t think realistically scary would look this cool, but it was just fun to draw her that way. and i think at the start of the season, her shade of purple was more pink, but over time grew more purple as she got closer to willy.

Scary herself is a satirical depiction of the "not like other girls" trope taken to it's extreme. She's overly catty and dramatic, constantly lashing out and vying for attention. She's an edgy poser who hates her step-father. Scary's objectively not a great person, and after certain actions it's questionable to say she's even a good one, but that was never the point.

The point?

That she's a hurt teenage girl. That there's a reason people act out. An explanation, not an excuse. She's also a cautionary tale to how fragile a child in that state can be, easy to manipulate; easy to use.
