A/N: If you are allergic to milk/dairy products, chocolate, cinnamon, sugar I apologize. As someone with allergies it can be very annoying to read about eating/drinking said allergy. Please just pretend or assume that Darius knows your allergies and that he acted accordingly and put in the needed replacements

Feelings are not something this man is amazing at. He is not humble by any means but even he could admit that. Not that he didn't care in his own little ways. Humming as he sprinkles in cinnamon to add a little flavor he stirs the hot chocolate he was brewing on his tiny stove, waiting for the chocolate to finish melting. He hopes the smell was calming and that you felt safe here with him. That you knew he'd never let anything happen to you. He cares so deeply for you and would absolutely raise hell if you were ever hurt but his gestures of affection are more subtle.

As he takes the kettle off the miniature stove he spins his finger making it dissapear, purple magic sending it back to it's place. Pouring the now ready hot chocolate into two cups he hums softly in acknowledgment as he hears you sniffling behind him on his window seat. Putting a dollop of whip cream (giving you a little extra) into the drinks before sprinkling sprinkles over them he sighs. Using his magic to make the items go away he picked up the warm mugs. He could have ordered an abomination to do that but he always found food tasted better when it came from a person who cares about you instead of a mindless creature.

Funny considering how him making abominations was the ultimate form of love towards his craft.

Swallowing Darius turns around to face you. He was your mentor and you needed him but in truth he needed you just as much having grown attached to you in these last few months you'd worked under him. He understands what going through a nightmare alone is like. He's awoken from nightmares himself countless times. His sheets crumpled underneath him with pillows thrown aside and his blanket wrapped around him from all his thrashing. Darius will not let you feel that pain in this horrible place that haunted people's dreams. Not alone.

The hot chocolate mugs are steaming melting the ingridents he had put on top. He smiles fondly at the mugs as he walks over too you. They were painted pink and purple like abominations, just a silly gift from you to him. You and your gestures of affection he could never keep up with. As he glances at you still smiling at the fond memory of the mugs he notices how your staring at the floor instead of him with this far off look in your eyes. He coughs briefly to catch your attention and when you glance up at him he gestures his head for you to scoot over and make room for him. Pulling your blanket closer you do so without complaining.

Sitting next to you the mugs carefully placed in your lap. Your hands wrap around it and he notices how there's still a slight tremor. "... Are you ready to talk about it now?" He questions as he runs an ungloved hand through your hair. You hum in response before shifting to lean against him, warm mug pulled close to your diaphragm as your head laid on his shoulder. He closed his eyes in understanding and nodded. "alright take your time." He responds. "We have all the time in the world." He promises as the hand that had been in your hair now wrapped around your shoulder bringing you closer to him. You crinkle your nose as his abomination hair tickles you and he smiles. Moving his hand up and down your arm in a soothing motion he sighed softly.

I have no idea where Hunter is about to go and what he is about to do after the last episode.

Maybe he will hide, with Darius, or even Willow. Or maybe he will run away, running nowhere, all alone.

Or maybe, he’s just completely snapped. All the anger and sadness suppressed by Belos has been released, and he no longer has anyone to be loyal to. He no longer has a purpose. His whole life he has been lied to, and everything he had ever worked for had been shattered by the very person he had worked for, and been so loyal to. He probably doesn’t want to be in the owl house, since Luz is the one who got him into this mess, and he probably wishes that he had forever remained blissfully unaware of his impending doom until he ran out of time. And the way he ran out of the owl house, it just gave me that kind of feeling when someone had just snapped, you know? And it’s hard to see him not snapping after this. We saw how far he went to defend Belos. Now there really is proof that he is bad- he has no one left to defend.

He has no one left that he truly cares about. Well, Darius, and possibly Willow. But I don’t think that he has time to acknowledge them too much at the moment.

So, maybe he’ll turn on everyone. Plus, we saw Amity’s redemption arc. It just seems a little repetitive. It goes to show how some kids recover from abuse, and how some don’t.

However, this is extremely unlikely. my guess is that he will settle with Darius, or Eda, or whoever, and get a nice redemption arc. I hope so, at least, but you never know.

Not everyone gets a redemption arc, and I believe that Hunter might be an example of that.

Still, very small chance, but it would be interesting- sad and depressing, but interesting- we’ll see how it plays out. I really don’t think that this will be the case, but just wanted to share this. :)

I been want to post this and where I’m, it’s Father’s Day so I thought why not. I saw people were also doing a dadius week and I really want to join but I don’t have any embroidery/art ideas to do for it. But it one of my favorite things from this fandom as it’s so sweet. Hopefully I can think of something more for them later in the future.

I also love Eber so much along Darius so I need him to be included. Also him joking with Hunter that he his wolf dad or uncle or something. Just him picking a fun name to call himself and Hunter joking along to annoy Darius. Also Eber totally calling hunter cub as it’s so cute

Also costume note as I have to say it but I love how Darius subtly matches Hunter in the last bits, as look hunter has a little bit of purple from his wolf shirt and Darius has a little bit of yellow to match hunter.

Can you elaborate on the assertion that the cancellation of The Owl House is not the only reason behind the show's issues (namely poor writing choices)?

I think a prime example of this is, Hunter, he gets a LOT of flack thrown his way. And the crew has admitted to doing this just because it's easy to torment him

Hunter getting possesed by Belos and Flapjack getting killed was really not neccesairy but guess they wanted to kick him around one last time before realizing they should give him a happy ending so hamfisted him getting a girlfriend and dadius. Hunter is aroace, has a father/son relationship with Darius, and is in a queerplatonic relationship with Willow.

Also Darius absolutely deserved more screen time, my man was ROBBED

Lmao everybody wants Father Darius. Dadius is gonna be the new tag. I have the personal headcannon that Darius wakes up early for his beauty regime and often tries to go to bed early too getting annoyed if his perfect sleep schedule is disturbed. He needs his beauty rest to look that good smh

Dariuses hand carefully held yours on one of his many decorative purple pillows, for once not wearing his signature silk gloves. His own fingernails were black and purple and he promised to give you an equally cool look for yours. They were painted intricately and had been modeled after abomination goo. Every time you saw him look at your fingers than the nail polish it made you giggle thinking of how he hid something so dorky underneath his gloves all the time. He shushes you for the hundredth time, hissing playfully about concentration and his artistic process.

"I didn't say anything. I didn't say anything!" You defend yourself as he squeezes your hand to keep it from moving. He hums in annoyance as you smile at him mischeviously. Ignoring your antics far too used to them he dabs cuticle oil on your fingers to numb them. Rubbing it in he hums again observing your freshly trimmed fingernails.

"You clean up nice." He teases and you stick out your tongue. You had a small bad habit of biting your nails and he had gotten it in his head that your personal hygiene affected him personally. So he would lightly smack your hands away if he noticed you trying to chew.

You didn't think it was a big deal but he disagreed. He'd only roped you into the little deal because you'd walked into in his room to deliver a message and saw him painting his nails. He saw you staring at the polish and with an eye roll he promised to do your nails for you. BUT ONLY IF you could get them long enough to paint and stop biting at them.

A torturous week for the both of you.

"Titan I don't know how I haven't killed you." He murmurs lightly tapping your cheek before he puts the oil away. But you see the sly smile and know he's simply teasing.

After riffling through his supplies and looking at each nail polish color meticulously comparing it to your skin tone and style (which had taken him about an hour) he finally settled on your favorite color which you had suggested in the first place. Rolling your eyes at all the time this was taking he tsks you and begins the process.

It was a pretty pattern. Your favorite color was applied carefully, several layers making it sturdy in its coating before he decided it was time for details.

"Woah." You compliment and your mentor beams straightening his shoulders with a proud grin.

"It is nice isn't is?" He demands and you nod as he begins the other hand. "Alador could never, did you know I had to paint his nails to keep him from biting them too? Such a nasty habit this better make you stop." He hums before playfully scuffing your hair with his free hand. "After all we don't need another powerful and sloppy abomination master running around. His kids can bite their nails but mine won't."

"Hey!" You respond laughing at the teasing and hair ruffling. Darius smiles back at you.

"Don't make me mess up, stay still." He responds but he's chuckling himself. As he finishes up you bring your hands to your mouth and blow. He rolls his eyes and you stick your tongue out again before you focus back on your hands. Shaking them out to get the paint to dry Darius looks at the abomination goo pattern he'd done.

Alador could never.
