I couldn't get the idea of Dad!Kiri out of my head so I started a fic (like I don't have enough I'm working on...) the full first chapter will be out tomorrow but I thought I'd give you all a little preview tonight.
No title yet.
Pairing: Dad!Kiri x F!Reader
Warnings: Swearing
UPDATE: The fic is out now. You can read it here :)
Most of the time, Eijiro Kirishima loved being a Pro Hero. He loved the work he did, the people he met and the lives he could protect. He knew he was risking his life every single day but he had the ability to help bring down those who strived to disrupt peace, and that was exactly what he was going to do. If villains wanted to come after him, his friends, other pros like him, let 'em! They were ready!
But four years ago all of that changed for Eijiro. Four years ago he was put in charge of protecting the most important person in the entire world, the whole damn universe! Four years ago was when his daughter was born.
She wasn't planned, not by any means, but she was his pride and joy. And, damn, there were so many things that could hurt her! If Eijiro could wrap her up in a bundle of bubble wrap and pillows, he would!
The fear that came with her learning to crawl, then walk, then tackling stairs, and even when her quirk manifested, no fear was greater than the day she vanished from the park.
You'd been sitting on a bench, feet sore as hell from walking all damn day. Job hunting was such a pain in the ass, especially in a city, scratch that, a country, that was completely foreign to you. The small stack of resumes you had left were being held down by your phone while you took a break, massaging the backs of your raw ankles.
The park you'd wandered into was peaceful with rolling grass that reminded you of home. It had a walking path that you might actually use one day but the feature that tied it all together was the huge pond at its center.
Flora flourished around the island at the heart of the pond, a faded blue bridge allowing people to walk across and admire the beauty up close. A family of ducks swam by in a perfect line and a little girl teetered after them right along the water's edge...

I had a Kiri HC & now it’s your problem too!
Aged up, Pro Hero Kirishima AKA Red Riot. GN Y/N. Dad!Kiri
Warning: Pure Fluff
A/N: First time posting something I’ve written! I also didn’t proof so if you find mistakes, yeah, sorry. Anyways, enjoy this tooth rotting fluff!
Red Riot gets called in to help take care of a nasty villain, something he is very used to doing by now. The villain is tough though so he goes full Unbreakable, which, is far more imposing than it ever was in his high school days. And the man kicks ass! Phones are recording it, new stations are on top of this, it’s a big deal.
Somewhere, in a different city, a group of kindergarteners is on a field trip. They walk by an electronics store broadcasting the news, this huge fight featuring Pro Hero Red Riot. Most of the kids hide their eyes, some cry, and scream, saying how scary BOTH the people are. They both look like monsters.
Except for one giddy small child. With stars in their eyes and a huge smile spreading from ear to ear they run-up to the glass window. There is not a single drop of fear in the child. Jumping up and down they eagerly point to the TV and proudly yell at their classmates, “Dat's my dadddyyy! Best hero ever!” Before turning back to cheer on their father, to watch Kirishima return to normal and thrusts both fists in the air with a victory cry, the villain completely knocked out in front of him.
BONUS BELOW
Kirishima comes home, toeing off his shoes and dropping his bag with a heavy thud before he heard the pitter-patter of bare feet rushing towards him. Sore and tired, he crouches down and throws his arms wide for his little shark to barrel into him, and barrel they did.
He let himself fall back in the doorway, his child practically bouncing on his chest. While his S/O smiled from the hallway. "Daddy! I saw you today!" They chattered. "We was walkin' and there was a TV and I saw you! My whole class did!"
Kirishima's heart fell for a moment. He was always proud of his hero work, the good he did, and the safety he could provide but he'd done his best to try and shield his child from his more... intense side. They were just so little and the last thing he wanted was his little shark to be afraid of him. He'd show them when they were older, help them learn how to use it since they shared a quirk after all.
"It's all they've talked about since I picked them up from the field trip." His S/O smirked watching the two with an endless amount of love in their eyes.
"You weren't scared, buddy? You weren't scared of me, were you?"
Little hands held his face and suddenly his little shark became very serious.
"Daddy wasn't scary. Daddy was manly!" His heart swelled at the words and he hugged his little one close.
Keys jiggled from the table and he saw Y/N slipping on their shoes. "Are we going somewhere?" He asked.
"I think this moment deserves some celebration." They leaned down and kissed both their loves. "How does ice cream sound?"
The little one launched themselves off Kirishima making air rush from his lungs. They were pulling light-up shoes on the wrong feet talking about how they wanted sprinkles and shark gummies.
"They really weren't scared?" Kirishima still couldn't believe it.
"Nope. Not a bit. They even told the class about how awesome you were, talked about it the whole way back. You're their hero, our hero." He pulled Y/N into a kiss that was short lived.
"No kissy time! Ice cream time!"
